701  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu (SHIB): The Rising Star Redefining the Crypto Landscape on: October 02, 2023, 05:12:53 PM
-snip-

All the hype around memcoins is based only on the FOMO effect, on stories about how someone got rich from memcoins. Mostly people are chasing big profits in a short period of time and memcoins seem to give a chance to realize this goal. People obsessed with these goals are willing to invest in any shitcoin, which is why memcoins are so popular.
You're right, Xal0lex - I also primed myself to believe that people were just taking advantage of the hype to make a quick profit. It's likely that early memecoin investors have moved on and enjoyed a return on their investment - but others have come to bet on the same fate even though they seem to have grown tired of expecting the ATH to take another hit.

Typically, all early investors in memcoins are either insiders or the developers themselves and their close friends and investors. Random people almost never make millions from memcoins. The reason for this is the lack of any possible analytics to identify a potential gem. It can be absolutely any memcoin, all these coins are similar to each other and it is impossible to say in advance that this memcoin is about to grow a lot, and this memcoin will not grow. It's all random and casino, it's not investing.
702  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu (SHIB): The Rising Star Redefining the Crypto Landscape on: October 01, 2023, 06:41:55 PM
Is anyone else interested in this memcoin? It has played its role in the crypto world for a long time, has gathered a large capitalization, enriched its creators and made a lot of investors who bought this token in 2021, during the SHIB hype period, lose money. Now the community is interested in other memcoins that are growing fast and bringing in lots of x's. I don't think SHIB will ever be able to do that again.
Even though I believe in your assumption - but we can't seem to stop these people's interest in meme coins, including Shiba Inu. I don't know how likely it is that Shiba Inu will be able to break its previous ATH when the next bull market starts - but I believe there are at least as many people here who are optimistic about it despite only investing $10 in it.

Nobody knows about the future - but the meme coin hype seems to be fading after many people realize that the purpose of these products is simply to enrich their owners. To be honest, I'm not betting on the possibility of Shiba hitting ATH again in the future - but anyone can be optimistic.

703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Tron exchange where you can pay fees in token you are swapping from? on: October 01, 2023, 05:51:09 PM
Such swaps are available only on centralized exchanges, there you don't need TRX to exchange USDT. I heard that there are exchanges where USDT can be withdrawn for free without commission, but I forgot the name of the exchange in question. On centralized exchanges, USDT withdrawal almost always costs $1 and very often it is cheaper than doing the transaction through your wallet.
704  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best Crypto to buy for 2024 ? on: October 01, 2023, 05:18:05 PM
I think the most suitable coins for the next bullrun are BNB and Matic. Because these networks are well known for low transaction fees. As a result, the demand for their own coins will increase gradually. So I think these coins will pump 50X during the next bullrun. I don't favor buying any new coins at the moment.

The problem is that you are too late with these predictions. These coins had this kind of growth last cycle when they were worth some money. Now these coins have gained a very large capitalization and will never give you x50 for 1 bullrun again. Be realistic and realize that the big projects that are in the top 20 rankings will never skyrocket, they will only give you x10 or x20 from bottom to top. These coins are no longer the category to give their investors big profits in a short period of time.
705  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the next narratives in the next crypto bull market? on: October 01, 2023, 04:21:30 PM
ETFs are a speculative theme for a possible bitcoin bump. The cryptocurrency narratives for the next bull run will of course consist of the artificial intelligence theme, and various L0 networks, L2 and L3 networks will also proliferate. Also the topic with modular blockchains is now starting to gain momentum, and the DeFi NFT topic may also be hyped.
706  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: October 01, 2023, 03:45:18 PM
Monero has its niche in the market and has its utility, why should it be overly popular? It is just about the only old pow coin that is still trusted by privacy enthusiasts. Such projects don't need excessive attention from regulators and adoption, as it will ruin the coin, it will start to be banned even more, they will try to regulate it and things like that. Don't expect Monero to be as fast as DOGE.

I can really say that Monero was one of the oldest altcoin that I have ever came across. 5-6 years back Monero along with XRP and LTC had crazy fan base. Whenever you ask any trader about their holdings, Monero will be surely present in that list. Yes days passed and new coins came with better opportunities, hence people moved from these OG coins to the new ones to make more profit. I still believe that Monero has good capabilities and it’s a good coin to invest.

Monero, Bitcoin and Litecoin have a very high trust among crypto users and also these coins have a very large adoption in the crypto environment. These coins are found in many services and are good ways to pay for goods and services. Undoubtedly, these coins will never die because they have a utilitarian function and not just speculation on exchanges.
707  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects. on: October 01, 2023, 03:43:26 PM

What do you want to get out of, say BNB or XRP, within 5 years? Do you really believe that these coins will generate much more profit than bitcoin? No, they won't bring you that much profit, and if they have no clear advantages over bitcoin, why would you buy them? Why?

There is a point in buying altcoins only when their expected growth can greatly exceed that of bitcoin. Among the top altcoins there is no such thing.
XRP is considered best coin for long term and many people still believe that XRP will perform better than other altcoins in the bullish market.

Are these your personal expectations or are you telling me how things really are on the crypto market? If anything, I'm only willing to listen to the second option, and I'm not much interested in subjective opinions. Are you saying that XRP is a better coin for long-term storage? Do you really think so? I suggest you open a chart and see how XRP has behaved for 5 years. You will be very surprised, but in 5 years this coin has never shown a new ATH, while bitcoin has increased its ATH 3.5 times in the last 5 years.

709  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: StarshipDoge is the next Shiba Inu! on: September 29, 2023, 06:38:17 PM
StarshipDoge is not the next Shiba Inu. StarshipDoge is another useless shitcoin that tries to repeat the success of Shiba Inu, so it parasitizes on its success. In reality, neither this StarshipDoge nor the other shitcoins that newbie is talking about will ever repeat the success of the famous memcoins. Famous memcoins need no introduction from newbie. This coin is not worth a single dime or a second of your time.
710  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Monero so unpopular? on: September 29, 2023, 06:07:55 PM
This is the fear of any cryptocurrency, even bitcoin. Cryptocurrency itself, especially on PoW consensus, cannot be banned because it is decentralized and there is no single command center. Most crypto users primarily associate cryptocurrency with the price on the exchange, and if this price collapses by 90%, many will consider the coin dead.

In this regard, those who became early investors in Monero are at an advantage, as they are not strongly tied to the value of the coin itself, because the cost of their coins is extremely low.

Most people are into crypto because of the money. Not because they believe in its tech. Monero may have some value today, but it could all fade away once it gets "banned" from CEXs. Only the underground world will use Monero no matter what. The rest of the people will stay with transparent crypto coins such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, especially when they "have nothing to hide".

You can see there aren't as much privacy-oriented coins today like it used to be in the early days. Developers are afraid of launching new coins with privacy features due to tighter regulations. These days, coins are fully transparent with PoS as their main consensus algorithm. It's a pity because this makes the crypto industry centralized. There's nothing we can do, other than sit back and wait what happens in the long run. I'd be surprised if Monero is still trading across centralized exchanges within a decade from now. Just my thoughts Grin

That's the big obstacle to mass adoption. People don't want to delve into the technology and utility, and value only the speculative part of cryptocurrencies. If it's the other way around and technology is paramount to people, we won't notice hundreds of thousands of useless tokens that have no technology and utilitarian properties disappearing from the market. It is people's own fault that the cryptocurrency market is flooded with a lot of shitcoins, because they invest their money in them, which means there is a demand. Where there is demand, there will be supply.
711  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new projects. on: September 29, 2023, 05:30:57 PM
Investing in top coins isn't the best investment advice either. Top coins haven't been growing as fast as they used to for a long time. At best, you will get the same returns as investing in bitcoin. If there is not much difference, what is the point of investing in top altcoins if you can just buy bitcoin and not expose yourself to the risks inherent in altcoins like BNB or DOT?
But investing in top altcoins isn't bad idea, I think the top coins deserve to buy for investment. If they aren't growing for a few years, it is because of the bearish period. The point that people choose top altcoins is for diversification, people assume they can get good profits in top altcoins as well. Some people think altcoins have higher volatility than Bitcoin, they expect to get bigger profits in top altcoins.

For what purpose? What do you want to get out of, say BNB or XRP, within 5 years? Do you really believe that these coins will generate much more profit than bitcoin? No, they won't bring you that much profit, and if they have no clear advantages over bitcoin, why would you buy them? Why?

There is a point in buying altcoins only when their expected growth can greatly exceed that of bitcoin. Among the top altcoins there is no such thing.
712  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low cap altcoins best for rising price? on: September 29, 2023, 05:00:17 PM
Yes, I believe that some part of an altcoin portfolio should contain low capitalization altcoins that are somewhere between 700-1500 places in the crypto rankings. These are the cryptocurrencies that can make you a fortune, even if you invest in 10 projects, of which only 1 will survive, its profit will cover all the losses at once and bring you profit. These are high-risk investments, but they make sense if you do proper research when choosing such projects.

Small investment in low cap coins are worthy if anyone invest in method like you suggested. normally if we invest 5 percent in low cap coins then imwe could get better results. 10 coins are enough and I believe 3-4 tokens will gives profit but we should have not to sell until get profit. low cap coins pump is sometimes for very small time. If we sell before token pump then we might not get second chance. This is common mistake we do that we cannot wait for lomg time and many times when we sell token then after that high pump start. In this bear market when evey coin is down , investing small fund is best choice because profit is high.

In this case, never try to sell everything in one lot for the best possible price. You will fail with almost 100% probability. Place a grid of orders starting with a minimum value, for example 50% profit, and so on. With this method you will be able to make money with any market movement. Whether it was small or fast, you will always have free money, which you can reinvest if the coin went into correction.
713  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Missing from the Best and Most Promising Cryptocurrency, Cogitex? on: September 29, 2023, 04:56:55 PM
As long as promises are not backed up by an end result, then they are just pretty words. Don't try to give words that can be freely written anywhere and by anyone as any special value. In investing, words and promises mean nothing as it's all ephemeral. For a project to be in the status of a proven track record, there needs to be some events that happen, not just a set of promises.

Promises are backed up by results, not by the process of fulfillment itself. For example, I promise to pay you a million dollars and start paying you $1 every hour. After 5 days I stop paying you, I haven't fully fulfilled the promise, but I did something, I tried. Can this be considered proof of promise fulfillment and hard work?
When a project's just startin' out, they might not have a pile of cash sittin' around. Sometimes, you need time and resources to make things happen. That's why project teams sometimes make promises – it's a way to bring in the dough they need to eventually deliver them real results.

Now, if the project already had a boatload of cash, sure, actions would be more important than promises. But when you're workin' with a tight budget upfront, promises can be a way to rustle up the greenbacks for future growth and real results.

I agree with you that not all projects have a good budget and support from big companies or foundations. Making promises is not a bad thing, especially if these promises are correctly fulfilled afterwards. Initially, I did not pay attention to the promise or small budget, but to what you write about the fact that this project has proven itself. This is distorted information, because this project does not have any data that could be considered recommendable.

715  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is Joe Biden Ok on: September 26, 2023, 09:14:51 PM
Given how forgetful he has become with age, it would be a horrible idea for Americans to support Biden for a second term. Because of what they stand for in the world, America as a superpower doesn't need a president like him. They require a president who is energetic and young and who can stand and bring about enduring peace between Russia and Ukraine.

By 2024, Republicans need to have a more suitable Joe Biden replacement before the next presidential election in the United States. They should not be shocked if Democrats win the election if they refuse to do so.

I read somewhere that a lot of young people in the US don't want to see such an old president. They want to see a younger leader of the country. So I think Biden has little chance of winning the next election. Because the young population of the country is unlikely to vote for him.
716  Other / Meta / Re: is Politics and Society board turning into a lowkey Off-topic board? on: September 26, 2023, 09:09:00 PM
Greetings, everyone. I am now the new moderator of Politics & Society. What I have to say about it.

1. First of all, I will be interested in off-topic topics. I have already moved a dozen or so topics to the Off-topic section. And I will work on it further.
2. Secondly, I will be interested in any calls for violence. What are calls for violence? I explained it in my post. I'll quote it here

The point is that as long as users don't violate forum rules with their posts, no one touches them. Formally, showing hatred is not a violation of the rules. The only thing is that if there is a specific call to violence in the post, such a post should be deleted and the user may get a ban.

Since Russia's war against Ukraine is illegal from the point of view of the United States, such statements on the forum should be deleted and users can be banned.

For example:
  • "Russian military: go bomb Ukraine!"
  • "You should go join the Russian army to help the war against Ukraine."
  • "You should attack Ukrainians."

But such statements (even though they are wrong) are allowed because they do not directly call for violence:

For example:
  • "The war against Ukraine is justified."
  • "It would strategically be a good idea for Putin to bomb Ukraine."

Specific incitement to violence is forbidden on the forum.

P.S. My post is based on a consultation with theymos.

I think you realize that this doesn't just apply to Russia's war with Ukraine. This is just an example, it applies to any calls for violence.
717  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: There is a code that allows PayPal to freeze your crypto assets. on: September 26, 2023, 06:45:46 PM
It's faster Satoshi Nakamoto's private keys will be hacked than PayPal will become decentralized. It is one of the most ruthless and centralized marketplaces and has long been known for its censorship of transactions. They came into cryptocurrency with their policy of centralization and custodial storage of cryptocurrencies, they don't care about cryptocurrency fundamentals and privacy. Their main task is to comply with the requirements of regulators, and the interests of customers do not really interest them.
718  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Missing from the Best and Most Promising Cryptocurrency, Cogitex? on: September 26, 2023, 06:09:42 PM
You can't establish yourself with promises. Promises are worthless and are often not kept. If I say that I promise to pay everyone a million dollars, can I be said to have established myself on the forum as a very generous user? Hardly. As long as the project has not done anything of what it promised, it has no references. Only investors' hopes that it will happen at some point.
You know, promises, they're more than just words, they're like the first step on the path to making dreams come true. Sure, promises might sometimes seem a bit empty, but they also have this incredible power to inspire and drive change.

Some of the greatest journeys in history, they all started with a simple promise. And, when you back up those promises with hard work and dedication, you can turn the impossible into reality. Belief and hope, they're like the fuel that powers the engine of greatness

719  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Couple of questions for GameFI projects on: September 26, 2023, 05:33:18 PM
Hello,

I have a couple of questions for new and existing GameFI projects:

1. Current Google search yields a lot of existing GameFI projects which were very successful at their launch. My question is, why their token/crypto prices decreased/died after a certain amount of time, despite those games still being played on a day-to-day basis? E.g. Axie Infinity.

2. Is there ANY way to know how long/high the price(s) will reach before shooting down for a long time/permanently?

Thank you.  Smiley

Because most projects face the same problem. A community that comes to the project to make money, not to develop the project. If you constantly pull liquidity out of a project, sooner or later it will depreciate. If a player does not invest money in the development of the project and does not reinvest, such a project will not live long. Players do not see any utilitarian benefit from all these game projects, they do not see long-term success and are not interested in the development of the project. They are only interested in the short-term benefits of interacting with the project. Dot.
720  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you see any value in move to earn crypto projects? on: September 26, 2023, 05:02:39 PM
Their is some certain reasons while some people doesn't invest on this kind of projects, because sometimes they doesn't require much attention and whenever bullrun come across and stay for long time and it's when this kind of coin do survive  but a process whereby the coin stays long time on bearish season automatically some of the coin's will die off when the market stays too long in bearish, so the thing is that you have to on your own understand and verify the kind of projects you will venture into before investment the thing that can help quite well is that you will make a proper research concerning a particular you want to invest on, if the project have furtherance and also know the capability of the people who projecting the project.

So 99% of all altcoins experience the same problems, just as 99% of altcoin investors face similar difficulties when investing. The main reason is the greed of the investors themselves who don't want to lock in their profits, they are hoping for the coin to grow indefinitely. Trend syndrome, if an investor sees that the coin has grown a lot, he thinks that the growth will continue, and vice versa, when the coin has fallen a lot, he thinks that the fall will continue for more.
