1621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which is currently the best crypto to invest in? on: February 21, 2023, 09:03:04 PM
I have been a crypto enthusiast for some time now, thou I have lacked consistentency, but over the years I have seen people who have carved out good lives for themselves with crypto, either by direct or indirect investment.,as a result I wish to invest in crypto with cash, but with minimal knowledge,so I seek the help of this house in advise on which crypto to invest in currently as someone who is just getting to learn about crypto currency.

Start by studying cryptocurrencies and the crypto market. You will always have time to lose your money. You rush to invest in something you have no idea about and ask for advice to dispose your money from people who do not risk anything. Their advice is free, but you only pay for their mistakes, out of your own pocket. Invest only in what you have some understanding of. If you don't have it, then you should seek to acquire this understanding through market analysis and market research. First study the market, then invest your money. Not the other way around.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin and no downtime till now in 11 years on: February 21, 2023, 08:38:13 PM
It has been 11 years and Litecoin is still running like a champ. In these 11 years, it never went down. One of the biggest advantages for small merchants who want to accept payment in crypto. Many merchants prefer Bitcoin & Ethereum payment but Litecoin is also something merchants should consider accepting as a payment.

What do you think guys?

I'm a little confused by your phrase about how he never went down. What do you mean by that? Litecoin, like other cryptocurrencies, loses most of its value every 4 years. It does not differ much from other major projects in this behavior. The only big difference is that Litecoin didn't rise much in 2021, relative to the 2017 peak.
1623  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CBDC and Regulation discussion on: February 21, 2023, 08:15:39 PM
CBDCs will be much more restricted than a stablecoin. As you've said before, they cannot be used in "De-Fi" protocols or even decentralized blockchain networks. Stablecoins would be a much better option in this regard. They may not go away after CBDCs are launched, but they will certainly be regulated "down to the bone". Regulations are inevitable, especially when governments want a piece of the pie.

People will trust a CBDC more than a stablecoin, just because it's backed by the government. But that doesn't mean stablecoins will die in the long run. Each type of currency will have its own respective advantages/disadvantages. It'll be up to you to decide which one to use for your own benefit. Who cares about centralized digital Fiat currencies anyways? As long as we have decentralized alternatives like Bitcoin and Ethereum, nothing else matters. Just my opinion Smiley

They are unlikely to disappear because there will always be demand for such coins and they will be less problematic to use than CBDC. There will be increased regulation around CBDC. It will be the same difference as trying to trade bitcoin with USDT or fiat. Where there is fiat, there will be mandatory KYC, there is no way without it. So people who prefer to trade without KYC will still need stablecoins.
1624  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does regulation affect the future of cryptocurrency? on: February 21, 2023, 08:09:38 PM
That could happen if the government tightens the rules and forces crypto users to comply. This may limit the growth of crypto and crypto users can't hide from the government because they are being watched. There is no longer the anonymity that crypto users have had.

I do not agree that increased regulation will limit the growth of cryptocurrencies. On the contrary, it will increase it. Bitcoin is an example of this. Increased regulation will attract more institutional money and increase adoption. People need a guarantee that they won't be cheated, that cryptocurrencies can be used legally, and that the crypto environment is free of all kinds of scammers who will steal your money. Crypto regulation has grown a lot in the last 5 years, but the industry itself has grown a lot, many cryptocurrencies have become very expensive. For the idea of cryptocurrencies itself, regulation will be a bad sign, but for the development and adoption, on the contrary, a positive sign.
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin start rising up what coin is good for investing right now for short term on: February 21, 2023, 07:46:27 PM
It's no secret that altcoins always follow bitcoin. Bitcoin goes up, altcoins go up, bitcoin goes down, altcoins go down even more. The correlation is obvious. The best solution for short-term speculation in altcoins was to buy them at the beginning of the year, when everything was at the bottom and many coins were selling at a big discount. To successfully speculate on altcoins in the short term now, you need to get the trend right. If you do it wrong, a bitcoin correction can lead to a big collapse of the already high altcoin prices.
1626  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: According To me Ethereum Looks Weak on: February 21, 2023, 07:41:08 PM
Waiting for the price of Ethereum to drop to $500–$700 before investing is now an impossible price because the price of Ethereum will not fall to that level. If you have the money, you should invest right away rather than waiting for Ethereum to reach your desired price of $500-$700

I agree, $500 for ETH looks too unrealistic, ETH's historical chart is always bullish, just like bitcoin, so each new bottom is higher in price than the previous bottom. Waiting for ETH at $500 is equivalent to waiting for bitcoin at $3,000. You can wait for the whole trend and not make any profit, but you should consider more realistic prices. If it turns out that the bearish trend is gone, the price of $1,100 for 1 ETH will be out of reach, not to mention the lower values.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bad feeling like a bomb is gonna go off on: February 21, 2023, 07:18:31 PM
If interest rates are high for the next few years they will all be competing for one another. The only stablecoin that turned out to be a scam was Luna and you shouldn't be surprised. They were basically going to peg their stablecoin using bitcoin as collateral. And we all knew that wasn't a good idea which bitcoin is very volatile and has tendencies to go 80% loss from ATH.

This is far from the only stablecoin scam, there are other stablecoins that are losing their pegs, such as the USN stablecoin, which has also lost much of its stable value. The whole problem with these stablecoins is that they are algorithmic, and such projects are worth avoiding because they are unstable and flawed in their asset-backed model. Securing stablecoin with other altcoins, especially in a bear market, leads to a crash.
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Doge really go to the moon? on: February 21, 2023, 07:04:10 PM
Many people are waiting for this growth of DOGE, expecting some decisive actions from Ilon Musk, but I would not get my hopes up for him. Elon Musk is a fickle person, one day he will say one thing, and the next day the exact opposite of what he said.  I would not be surprised if in the next bullrun he will start shilling a completely different project, like some other meme koin, FLOKI, or something like that. Don't trust what Ilon Musk says, he has already confirmed many times that his opinions are rapidly changing.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BNB & BUSD Under Attack on: February 21, 2023, 06:55:56 PM
The attack on Binance and its products has been going on for quite some time, since last year. The collapse of FTX triggered this sequence of events and it looks like it won't subside anytime soon. At the moment, Binance itself no longer wants to consider BUSD as the main stablecoin for their platform and they are looking at other stablecoins that are not backed by USD but another currency. In light of these events, I would definitely refrain from keeping BUSD in my wallet. This stablecoin is extremely unreliable right now.
1630  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP - yes or no? on: February 21, 2023, 04:26:40 PM
I am not supporting or against XRP but my goal is only to make a profit Grin

If XRP can increase, I will sell it. But I'm also prepared if the price of XRP can't increase to reach its final ATH and won't be disappointed whatever happens to XRP later. After all, I have also benefited from selling XRP before. And the amount of XRP I have right now is based on the amount of money I can afford to invest in XRP. Everything is still a mystery because we don't know whether XRP can increase again or whether it will remain at its current price. And the only thing to be careful about investing in XRP is all you can do and remember not to spend money you can't afford.

It is unlikely that XRP will renew its ATH in the next few years, but it is a good coin for trading. I would not consider it as a long-term investment because its historical chart shows that for 5 years some investors of this coin continue to be in losses. That's not a good signal for long-term investing. Almost all of the top 20 coins have updated their ATH in 2021, except Ripple.
1631  Local / Токены / Re: Bridge Oracle - первый в истории публичный оракул on: February 20, 2023, 04:11:24 PM

1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any successful ICOs or NFTs lately that ran bounty marketing here? on: February 19, 2023, 04:27:26 PM
I am trying to determine if it still makes sense to use Bounty for promotion of crypto projects - has there been any successful projects that actually used Bounty and then awarded bounty participants? In any niche, DNFs , Gaming, ICOs any type of fundraising campaigns

This method of promotion died a long time ago, and new forms of distributing new tokens in the community came into play. Starting from different services with tasks, if we are talking about web3 projects, to different IDO platforms. The whole industry moved to discord and twitter, forum bounties get too small response among community, so developers of new projects began to turn to this outdated form of distribution much less often. Nowadays, special sites for token distribution, such as dropsearn or GLEAM, are relevant.
1635  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of Toncoin on: February 19, 2023, 03:56:11 PM
Judging by how actively TON began to develop and how many different services arise in this network, its future could be very good. 2022 was a very bad year for the whole crypto industry, but TON itself showed good results for its investors in the second half of the year. You could say that TON was a kind of safe haven for crypto investors, just like the TWT project, for example. I think investing in TON is a good decision. Not financial advice, DYOR.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do You trust Tether (USDT) Stablecoin? on: February 19, 2023, 03:35:43 PM
I'm in crypo world since 2021 only and since then I've noticed a lot of folks talking about Tether as being a potentional scam that may crash the markets one day and I've watched videos from crypto detectives/scam busters such as Coffeezilla and he makes some pretty fair points about Tether being the cryptos biggest scam.

I wanna personally know from people who have been in crypto for little longer than I have and maybe know a few things more or could share their personal view on Tether.

My side question to this would also be: Which type of stablecoin do You find the most credible in the Crypto space?

Thanks in advance for more experienced folks for sharing their insight!

Bitcoin is also constantly being talked about, that it is all a scam and soon bitcoin will die. But, nevertheless, this does not prevent many users from using this asset. Although it is not quite correct to compare some stablecoin with bitcoin, but various legends about USDT have been around for quite a long time, which does not prevent USDT from growing in capitalization and being the most liquid stablecoin on the market. So it is better to do your own research and never make decisions based on various stories on the internet and rumors.
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: reasons why someone wants to pay in tether and not bitcoin? on: February 19, 2023, 03:28:21 PM
Very often the reason is that not all bitcoins pass aml checks, so some people find it easier to pay in USDT than in bitcoins. Another reason is that bitcoin commissions are sometimes off the charts and they are very slow. In some networks a USDT transfer can cost a couple of cents and transfer time will not take more than a couple of minutes. Bitcoin blockchain is slow and expensive. Now, because of increased volatility, bitcoin network commissions sometimes reach several dollars.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tip and Tricks about when to buy or when to sell? on: February 19, 2023, 03:19:58 PM
The basic lesson about trading is to buy low and sell high. Just that. If market conditions are declining, especially bitcoin, you can buy at a lower price because usually, the price will continue to decline a little lower or even lower. And when the price reverses, you can get ready to sell those bitcoins at a high price, higher than your purchase price. Or you can also hold it up to a certain price level you want, then sell it and get a profit. At least, that's what I did in my early days of trading because of my limited knowledge about trading.

But it's not really trading, but rather investing using a DCA strategy, that is, averaging positions in order to reduce the average entry point and the earliest possible start of profit. In trading, this strategy is used much less frequently. Usually it happens as follows: the trader bought bitcoin, the price began to go down, he triggered a stop-loss and fixed the losses. Then he waits for a new entry point and buys bitcoin again to sell it.
1639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to run a bounty campaign? on: February 19, 2023, 03:14:52 PM
how to become a bounty manager i want to run bounty campaign so how can i run campaign please tell me

What's the problem? Bounty manager is the same as a normal forum user, just like the other participants, it does not need any additional admissions and permissions. Find a project, stock up on tools for bounty, such as google table, open a new topic, make sure that participants bounty fulfill the conditions, distribute rewards.
