Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero to PoS?
|
on: February 14, 2023, 10:34:25 AM
|
Coins are moving towards PoS because it is easier to promote their business, regulators are more loyal to such projects and project can be controlled, censorship can be set, which again is good for regulators and all sorts of supervisors. I can't imagine Monero on PoS, it is tantamount to bitcoin switching to PoS, i.e. it will immediately decrease trust and maybe even kill the whole project and there will be a mass migration from this asset. If Monero changes the consensus, it will kill this coin because monero is very often used for private purposes, no one wants a censored private coin.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth staking stablecoins?

In my opinion, the safest and most reliable way of staking Stablecoins are the pools in Curve. The pools there are created exclusively for stablecoin, and there are pools not only with liquidity allocation between 2 assets, but also more exotic ones with 8 or 10 assets, as far as I remember. Although I can't say that Curve offers great rates on stablecoin staking, but when it comes to platform reliability, percentages shouldn't be the deciding factor when choosing a platform for staking.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRC20 tokens - transactions in Tron are not processed, FAILED -OUT OF ENERGY

I recently encountered this problem. It is noteworthy that when you send transactions in the wallet and if the status "FAILED -OUT OF ENERGY" appears, the TRX, which are charged by the wallet, are not returned. I thus once wasted 50 TRX, before I understood what the matter. That's why it's better to choose purses with dynamic commission, many purses like Atomic have fixed commission and it always stands on minimum values, so the risk of wasting your TRX is quite high.

Actually, many stablecoins have lost their bind even during the bullrun, which is not to say that anything very bad should happen soon. The collateral of these stablecoins itself is questionable and they price these tokens are not as stable as they should be, judging from their name. You don't even have to talk about algorithmic stablecoins, they were born to always experience de-peg. I think, if some major correction happens, then such stablecoins as DAI, USDC, BUSD won't suffer much.

it always lack of research that causes such investments to be massive failure, usually if you are investing in altcoin you should know how to distinguish good project from the technical aspects if you couldn't do it then you're gonna losing. like many have mentioned it's just far better if you could always diversify your investments, i'd even considers diversifying your investments when you're investing in altcoin the only safe guarding towards these rugpulls and many more, many underestimated the importance of diversification meanwhile had the victims of the luna was diversifying their investments further, they'd still come out relatively unscathed than losing all their investments to some crashes that just doesn't make sense.
Indeed, the fact that many people do not know how to do a quality research project and their investment resembles a game of roulette, then generates a lot of stereotypes about the fact that investing in altcoins or in new projects is accompanied by increased risks. In fact, investing in altcoins is accompanied by increased risks only in the complete absence of own analysis and research, there is no strategy for the selection of good projects from bad ones. That's why many invest in all kinds of garbage, which is traded on some dex, like pancake, and then wait for a miracle that this project will grow 100 times.

3# DOGECOIN
Dogecoin is an original coin and has been around for a very long time. Dogecoin is very famous because of Doge and it will always attrach some people to buy it. Compared to cipies, like Shiba Inu or Elon Doge, Dogecoin will always be an original coin, not a cheap copy. Dogecoin can be promoted easily because it's a timeless coin.
DOGE looks a bit ridiculous in this list of projects that have utility, I would put Optimism here instead of DOGE. Extremely promising project with great utility, a lot of activity going on around this project right now, users are rewarded with various drops. Definitely worth keeping an eye on for this L2, but that's not financial advice, DYOR.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in new Projects (Need Suggestion)
|
on: February 13, 2023, 11:19:36 AM
|
Should I invest in new projects? It depends on the nature of the said project, we can invest in them if it can be trusted or somewhat really worth it. As an investor, we also know how to assess the potentiality of the project, it is not because someone says it is good we also believe it and follow what they say but it was our position as well to make a review and make the final decision. But I would tell you that investing in new projects corresponds with high risk and therefore, we should not be easy with them unless we are sure about it.
Why do I keep reading that investing in new projects is high risk? Where does this stereotype come from? Isn't a project which has already shown x100 and which can collapse and never come to the same values again a high risk? For example TRON or Ripple. Investing in altcoins has the same risks, whether it is a new project or an old project, just the loss of money will be in a slightly different mechanism. It is also worth noting that all old projects were once new.

I don't know about others, but these keyboard shortcuts work fine for me. The main thing is to make sure that the system is set to English when using these keyboard shortcuts. For example, if I have the Russian language enabled for typing, these keyboard shortcuts do not work.
P.S. i forgot to say, i use Windows

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rumors that US SEC would like to ban crypto staking
|
on: February 12, 2023, 09:07:36 PM

Another FUD was brought to the market. No wonder, after all this growth, now you need a reason to drop the price. I'm sure there will be no ban on staking. Ethereum just moved to PoS and is now, for the most part, controlled by American companies. Banning staking means banning all Ethereum. No one will take that step, it's like trying to ban bitcoin mining. This is another speculation designed to temporarily destabilize the crypto market.

As a newbie and with small capital, I believe you are not ready to accept losses, so I would advise you to stay away from NFT or any altcoin projects. You should focus on bitcoin, although it won't make you rich quickly, it will keep you safe, and you won't suffer losses or shock when you first enter the market. What you need now is knowledge, as long as you have knowledge of the market, I believe you will find the investment you need most without the advice of others.
You can't make a lot of money on bitcoin with a small capital, so the caveat of all altcoins is definitely not going to help you somehow multiply that capital. If we are talking about capital preservation, then bitcoin is quite suitable for this purpose. But if we are talking about making money from cryptocurrencies, then investing a small deposit in bitcoins is not really effective. Altcoins grow much more efficiently, but you should understand what you invest in.

Am I the only thinking along these lines? How do we envision the future?
They got rid of the USDT collateral in corporate securities, but the bulk of it is still not in fiat, but in treasury bills. That is, there is still no fiat for all comers, and if there is a massive outflow of money from USDT, we will still see de-peg, as we did in May 2022 when LUNA collapsed. All in all, I think the underlying problems after they eliminated corporate securities haven't gone anywhere.

Altcoins are always dangerous because they can take a very long time to fall and result in a big loss of money. Your methodology for selecting altcoins is not entirely correct either. Just because a coin is listed on an exchange doesn't mean that it's a great investment. Yes, it won't be outright garbage, but that metric alone isn't enough to know that it's a good investment. You also have to look at capitalization, circulating supply, and tokenomics.

I still have a lot of USDT in my wallet, I already have ROSE, NFTb, TRX, AXS. My question is any other altcoins that I have missed or should check out?
You have missed a lot, but I will not elaborate, because everyone has to make his or her own decision about buying these or those altcoins. Now is a good time to spend your stablecoins and buy various cryptocurrencies, which are much cheaper. What categories of altcoins to consider buying depends, of course, on the size of your deposit. If you have enough available funds, you can look at buying blue chips, they are best suited for HODL strategy.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How does regulation affect the future of cryptocurrency?
|

That's not quite the right wording about neutral. Most countries do not have a neutral position on crypto regulation, but a loyal one. That is, there is a legal and tax framework that allows the crypto-industry to develop, but under the supervision of regulators, thus, various services must be licensed by the local regulator. Somewhere on the forum I saw the information that at the moment 120 countries of the world have such regulation, i.e. most countries.

A crypto ban in America? This is FUD, this will not happen, there is too much money involved in the industry. Accordingly, there are interests of people with a lot of capital and opportunity in this industry, there will be no ban. After a wave of speculation, this theme will subside and no one will remember about it. About the ban of cryptocurrency in various large countries they talk all the time, even in China this ban did not take place completely. So who will ban something that can be used to make money or even to launder money. The FTX case showed perfectly that even big politicians were involved in cryptocurrency.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Bounty really pay?
|
on: February 10, 2023, 07:44:30 PM

Sometimes I find myself being added to Telegram groups where they are doing bounty campaigns for new coins but at the end of the day, people will start complaining that the project is dead. In most cases I exited from the groups immediately I find myself there because I feel they are prone to defrauding people. This makes me to wonder if bounties really pay.
No, especially on telegram. All these bounty campaigns are either a scam or an attempt to increase the audience and attract some liquidity to a dead or new unknown project. Do not waste your time on it, much less your money. Any bounty campaign in which you are invited to participate is a potential scam or phishing attack, this has long been practiced in Discord. If someone invites you to participate in any raffle, then expect a catch, you will certainly try to cheat. My thoughts.
