When some people ask questions about gambling, such as "Can someone can make a living through gambling? I don't like to engage in such conversations because those who doubt that gambling can change someone's life are usually those who have gambled and failed multiple times or those who don't really know gambling strategies.
We see professional gamblers doing well but if you ask me, I do not think that being a professional gambler or gambling being the main source of income is for everyone. There are just special people who can control their gambling habits and make money from it. I would not advice anyone to consider gambling as a main source of income, but I would not go against them if they wanted to try. Maybe they could make it, nobody knows.

Recently, a Uganda pastor who won 100million shillings decided to shut down his ministry. This left me with several questions in my head, such as ' Do religious leaders gamble? Is it right for religious leaders to gamble? Knowing fully well that most of them preach against gambling in their religious places. What is the ethical and moral implications of gambling, particularly in the context of religious practices and beliefs?

Not all religious groups are for good anyway so I will not be surprised if we saw pastors gambling or doing illegal stuff and going against their own teachings.

Kinda impressed with NaVi's performance against Heroic last night. Too bad their bracket was so stacked, they have to face FaZe in the semis Cry If they can beat FaZe, C9 or ENCE shouldn't be a problem.

They have taken Faze to the third map. Faze is leading 10-5 in the first half of the third map. But those 5 rounds are good enough once NAVI gets to CT side of Mirage. I think they have a good chance to get to the finals.

It seems like whatever they're cooking in OG doesn't really work. It has been quite some time since they had their restructuring, but it still isn't working well for them. Maybe they need to go to Div 2 first and do all the hard work, the grind, and the rest of strategizing in there before they can join some majors and be in the first division yet again. They're lacking in a lot of things right now and it's worrying considering that they were performing okay when Chu was coaching and Misha was playing.

They were better when ATF was still with them. And now, nothing seems to work for them. I do not know if they are just bad because of the current META or if they have to restructure again. Nothing seems to be working for them.

Or are they even cooking at all? All I can see was this OG is just a bunch of kids that destined to be relegated on Division 2. Clearly Yuragi can’t carry the team while DM can’t do what ATF doing which is a secondary carry at all. The only player that performing well is BZM which do an amazing job but he alone can’t carry the team.

I don’t know what’s happening to Yuragi but he seems loss his confidence after multiple failure since ATF. Maybe ATF is the real carry of OG. There’s no way to recover this team unless Yuragi awaken on his deep sleep. This is not his original game during his initial sign up on OG.

Yeah, ATF was too aggressive when he was with OG but at least it was working for them. Something must have changed within the organization because they are really playing very poorly this season.

About the Dallas Mavericks, they are now on the 11th seed in the West. Their chance has gotten thinner and thinner each day as they are now on their 3rd consecutive defeat.

Luka getting injured and then Kyrie Irving, and with some of their former players traded already, gonna be difficult for them to make the playoff as everyone is playing very hard in the log jam from 8-12 spot. Perhaps this is one instance that they really need Luka's Magic to bail them out.

There is still a big chance they make it to the play in tournament. Their remaining games are not that hard to win, and they are just 1 game away from the Lakers in the 8th spot. Every game counts for the teams in the West right now. Even the Clippers in the 4th spot are not safe for now.

With that win, they are now at .500 with a 37-37 standing in the Western Conference. They shouldn't waste their chances to secure a playoff spot as seeing their remaining games, almost all of those games are sure can be handled by the Lakers.

They are not sure of anything yet even though they will have easy remaining games. Just one loss and they will be back to the 11th seed. They need to win their remaining games just to retain the spot they have now. It will be fun to watch the teams in the West scramble for the play in spot in the remaining regular season games.

Can Meralco upset TNT? It's already guaranteed that it's going to be MVP vs. Cojuangco in the finals, but for TNT this season, I think they are really a very good team. They have great chemistry, and everyone plays well when on the floor, making them a hard team to beat.

It's the offense of TNT vs. the defense of Meralco. If Meralco can dictate the tempo, then we might see an upset.

Unfortunately, there is no upset in this game. TNT is too strong for Meralco to beat. If TNT stays healthy until the Finals, they have a good chance of getting the Championship. Their chemistry with their import is very good.

Enough of Meralco Vs. Ginebra series. I want to see a different team/s playing in the PBA Finals. We want to see other teams having an opportunity playing in the PBA Finals. If Ginebra will go to PBA Finals again (like always as long as there's an import), I want TNT to be their opponent.

Most likely Ginebra will go against TNT on the finals. They are the only team remaining that can match TNT toe-to-toe. Even though we want to see other teams to go to the finals, we cannot control the fact that they are the strongest team right now.

The game between Navi and Heroic has just started.

Taking the side of Heroic to win this match against Navi. Though Navi has improved a lot, I think Heroic is still way better than Navi. I think Heroic will be taking this match easy. What do you think guys?

706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 24, 2023, 07:55:08 AM
It looks like it is going to be an easy win for Barangay Ginebra. It is the second quarter, and they are already up by 12 points. Hopefully they will be able to keep this momentum to the final quarter.

Taking action on the second game today, Meralco Bolts vs TNT. Though the odds are not that so good, I think it will be an easy win for the top-seeded team.

Any special reason why you pick GSW over Grizzlies at home? I know Morant is out, but they still have a lot of good defense for the Grizzlies. 1.90 is really an inviting odds, but personally, I would pick the spread for GSW rather than ML. But yeah, an interesting pick given that they're really terrible on the road. Just pray that Steph and the gang would perform their magics on the court to give GSW a comfortable lead before the final minutes of the game, which the Grizzlies have excellent defese and ball rotations on.

I am not really considering Morant missing the game. The Grizzlies have no problem winning games even without Morant. I was thinking the Warriors have a few games left and they are trying to position themselves to get better seeding, so they might put extra on the road but Steph not hitting 3s even after a long rest in the 3rd quarter is just bad basketball. Klay and Steph are just 30 points combined.

Milwaukee Bucks vs Toronto Raptors
The Toronto Raptos (35-36) will visit the Milwaukee Bucks (50-20) tonight at Fiserv Forum. The Bucks are a bit overvalued in Moneyline but they should be able to win against the Raptors. They have 80% batting percentage at home.
Bucks key injuries: Grayson Allen (foot) probable, Jae Crowder (calf) out, Brook Lopez (ankle) probable

Portland Trail Blazers vs Los Angeles Clippers
The Los Angeles Clippers (37-34) will visit the Portland Trail Blazers (31-39) tonight at Moda Center. The Clipper should be the better team and should win this game.
Trail Blazers key injuries: Jeramy Grant (quad) out, Nassir Little (illness) out, Justise Winslow (ankle) out

OG is not the same anymore since their carry topson and ana is not on the team and also the complexity of their team does not exist anymore I guess they need to check first their team whats the wrong with it, imagine Team liquid right now just one player can change all the things happen in the game I guess if this might continue Liquid will manage again to be part of the back to back ti champs unless they can kick the tundra and TS right now.

Totally agree. The current OG is playing by the book that makes them easy to read and counter. Their rotation is so predictable that makes it useless and waste of time. They don’t have good vision on most of their that makes them always play on defensive position. This is not the real OG mindset. I think the OldG on division 2 might replaced them in Division 1 in the future if they didn’t step up their game.

These are still very young players and there is definitely a lot of space for improvement. They are not totally bad since they won some tournaments last year with the same roster. So, they might just need a little bit of push or guidance from the management. OLD G is competitive right now but I do not know if that is enough to compete in Division 1.

Memphis Grizzlies vs Golden State Warriors

Washington Wizards vs Sacramento Kings
The Sacramento Kings (42-27) will visit the Washington Wizards (32-38) tonight at Capitol One Arena. Though the Sacramento Kings are the second seed in the West, the Wizzards have good defense specially at home.
Kings key injuries: Kevin Huerter (knee) questionable, Trey Lyles (shoulder) questionable

Utah Jazz vs Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics (49-22) will visit the Utah Jazz (33-36) tonight at Vivint Arena. The Jazz has lost 5 of their last 7 games and the Boston should win this game.
Jazz key injuries: Jordan Clarkson (hand) questionable, Collin Sexton (hamstring) out

Cleveland Cavaliers vs Philadelphia 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers (45-22) will face the Cleveland Cavaliers (44-27) tonight at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse. Donovan Mitchell is rested Tuesday and should be playing tonight against the 76ers but will that rest be enough to beat Philadelphia?

Chicago Bulls vs Sacramento Kings
The Chicago Bulls (31-36) will host the visiting Sacramento Kings (40-27) tonight at United Center. The Kings should win this.
Bulls key injuries: Lonzo Ball (knee) out, Javonte Green (knee) out

San Antonio Spurs vs Dallas Mavericks
The San Antonio Spurs (18-50) will host the visiting Dallas Mavericks (34-35) tonight at AT&T Center. Even without their two stars, the Mavs should be able to put away the Spurs who are trying hard to tank this year.
Mavericks key injuries: Luka Doncic (thigh) out, Tim Hardaway Jr (calf) questionable, Kyrie Irving (foot) questionable, Christian Wood (foot) questionable

Los Angeles Clippers vs Goldern State Warriors

Clippers key injuries: Brandon Boston (tailbone) out, Norman Powell (shoulder) out

I also saw one of Old G's matches earlier but I didn't stay until the end since they're going to win no matter what anyway.

For my bet of the day i've gone with a multi that's barely above 2.01 as I think the Liquid vs OG series might go the distance. Gaimin Gladiators should take down Ooredoo Thunders with ease since Monaspa had no problems taking them down 2-0 during the first day. Entity vs Team Nigma might be a close series when there are rumors that ATF could be moving to the offlane position but I don't think that'll be enough when Entity looked great during the Lima major.

There might be something wrong with the current roster of OG because they have not won a map yet. It is 1-0 right now between Liquid and OG but Liquid is already 6K ahead of OG on the second map. It looks like OG will be 0-2 in standing this early in WEU. Given they had face strong opponents (Tundra and Liquid), I never thought they could not take the matches to a distance.

Gaimin Gladiators lost to Ooredoo Thunders, 2-1. I was not able to watch the game so now I am intrigued with OOredoo because GG is not an easy opponent but they defeated them. GG easily defeated team Liquid which speaks a lot to ooredoo defeating GG.

Golden State Warriors vs Phoenix Suns
The Golden State Warriors (35-33) will defend their home against the Phoenix Suns (37-30) tonight at Chase Center. The Warriors are the 4th best home record this season and should be able to defend their home against the Phoenix Suns.
Suns key injuries: Kevin Durant (ankle) out
Warriors key injuries: Draymond Green (ankle) probable, Andre Iguodala (hip) probable, Jonathan Kuminga (ankle) questionable, Andrew Wiggins (personal reasons) out

Sacramento Kings vs Milwaukee Bucks
The Sacramento Kings (40-26) will defend their home against the Milwaukee Bucks (48-19) tonight at Golden 1 Center. Giannis is still questionable this game and against the #2 in the west, it is tough to win against them on their home.
Bucks key injuries: Giannis Antetokounmpo (hand) questionable

Anyone interested to know if Team Liquid could have beaten Gaimin Gladiators in Lima Major should watch the current match between Team Liquid vs GG on DPC Spring Tour WEU. Boxi is now playing and both teams are complete and in good health.

Team Liquid is slightly favorite in this match according to stake.com with an odd @ 1.8. But we cannot really tell who will win between these two teams.
This is new patch so not the same game anymore. Looking at some games today I felt lost. Had a very nice grip on the meta after Lima major and now everything changed. Have to see how the meta will settle before betting big again.

Both are good teams and I am expecting them to try out some things so over 2.5 maps looked like good bet for me before it started. Now it is start of map 2 and looking at the draws I am thinking this will be clean 2:0 for GG.

Yeah, we will see new Meta in this patch. You are right, we must see first how the teams will perform in this Meta. Luckily for GG, they are still performing very well even with the new patch. They are on a winning streak right now and dispatch Team Liquid 2-0 in their match. I did not expect that. I was expecting them to give GG at least a hard time but GG won so easily on both maps.

714  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 13, 2023, 10:58:35 PM
Is Ja Morant back on the Grizzlies line up? I was just wondering because they are currently the favorite against the Mavs. Is it because they are on a winning streak while their opponent is still struggling to find that right balance? Maybe I'm missing something here.

Interesting developments in the West with less than a month to play. Top 3 teams probably through but still tough to call who will make it to the top 6 or even the play in tournament.

No, Ja Morant is still not playing but the Mavs will not have Luka Doncic today because of a thigh injury and Kyrie Irving is questionable as well. I do not know why they are favorites because aside from Ja Morant, the Grizzlies are also missing Steven Adams, Brandon Clarke, and 2 others. It is a good time to bet for the Mavs since they are solid in home and the Grizzlies are bad on road. You should take advantage of this.

They didn't hesitate fouling the knocks just did a great job keeping the ball moving.  People sure do love the Lakers, they are barely a fringe playoff team they have zero chance of winning the championship.  They might not even get to play the playin...bottom line knicks won on the road in LA, Getty up.

I also have doubts they will win the championship with all the other teams very stacked right now. But they have a chance to enter the playoffs though. With the way they are playing lately, they can win enough games to enter the play in and eventually the playoffs. Anyway, I lose my bet because of that bad sequence.

Team Japeth won the All-Star Game and received a cash prize of Php150,000, while the MVP, Paul Lee, received Php30,000. Paul Lee had a great performance, showcasing his accurate 3-point shooting during the match. One difference between this game and the normal PBA league games is that they have a 4-point shot.

This may have been the reason why Team Scottie lost, as they were trying to hit the 4-point shot instead of focusing on a comeback, despite having plenty of time left in the game.

It was also a nice initiative by the organizers to make the game more entertaining to watch. I'm sure they did not want to be criticized like what had happened to the NBA All-Star Game.

That 4 point shot is a cheat sheet for Paul Lee. It seems to me that is a normal range for him. How many of those 4 point shots did he make?

The game is quite exciting compared to the All Star game of NBA. In NBA, the teams just let the other team scores. But the PBA All Star game, there is actually an effort to guard the other teams. You can see steals and blocks in this game. This makes the game better. You can really see that both teams want to win and that converts to competitiveness in the game. This game could actually salvage the reputation of the all-star game being stale.

San Antonio Spurs vs Oklahoma City Thunder
The Oklahoma City Thunders (32-35) will end their road trip game against the San Antonio Spurs (17-49) tonight at AT&T Center. The Spurs have won their last 2 of the last 3 home games. The Thunders are coming from no rest but won their last game.
Thunder key injuries: Aleksej Pokusevski (knee) out, Kenrich Williams (wrist) out, Chet Holmgren (foot) out
Spurs key injuries: Khem Birch (knee) out, Keldon Johnson (foot) questionable, Jeremy Sochan (knee) questionable

Los Angeles Lakers vs New York Knicks
The New York Knicks (39-30) and Los Angeles Lakers (33-34) will duke it out tonight at Crypto.com Arena. The Lakers have been lately even without Lebron James on the court. They are actually a better team without Lebron. While the Knicks has lost 3 consecutive games and Brunson might be out this game.
Lakers key injuries: Anthony Davis (foot) probable, Lebron James (foot) out

00Nation cameback to takeout the young guns known as Greyhounds. So their run is done now.

00Nation was able to defeat Greyhound and NiP on the same day. They first defeated Greyhound in a full series. And then with NiP, they dropped the first map was able to out fragged  NiP in the succeeding maps. They were underdogs on both matches, but they were able to come on top. Aside from Faze getting an L, maybe 00Nation is the most unpredictable to qualify for the playoffs.

We have now Vitality. Faze, Pain, and 00Nation qualifying from Group C.

Forcing him to return earlier than he should could cause a lot of trouble, look what happened when Warriors pushed him to come back earlier, dude got injured again and lost a whole season, he wouldn't want to repeat that but he also wants to win another ring with a different team finally.

Yeah, they should make sure that he is fully healed before they set him on the floor. If they want to win it all, they will make sure that Durant is healthy during the playoffs. It is just a few games left in the regular season and I do not think that the Suns will have a problem securing a spot in the playoffs. They should win with the current roster that they have even when Durant is not playing. They are 5 games ahead of the #8, they should be able to protect that lead.

It sure looked like him to me. I’ve never seen so many one dollar bills piled everywhere either that must’ve been one hell of a night. The backlash is still on coming though. It looks like Powerade has stopped airing his commercials and I expect that Coca-Cola will announce he’s being terminated from his contract very shortly. This is going to end up costing him hundreds of millions of dollars instead of just the 50,000 he threw on the floor that night.

That will hurt him. He should have protected those contracts with his sponsors. He is young and should learn from this. There will be more sponsors in the future if he will be able to collect his actions and avoid more issues.
720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: March 12, 2023, 09:21:40 PM

For tonight's matches, I'm placing my bets on FaZe and Grayhound, also later on NiP for the 4th place decider.

Oh you missed both bets. Vitality won 2 maps against Faze. Very uncharacteristic of Faze to be swept in a match but Vitality won in both maps in overtime. And then 00Nation won against Grayhound on the decider map.

NiP just closed the map. Looking forward to a comeback from 00nation in the 2nd map which is Nuke, but I doubt it given that it's the pick of NiP.

They won the first half and if 00Nation can continue their good game, they will be heading for the third map. Though Nuke is a NIP pick, 00Nation proved to be better on this map.
