721  Economy / Services / Re: John (John K.)'s escrow service (previously known as johnthedong) on: July 26, 2013, 04:39:35 PM
Note that escrow contracts/releases are normally being sent out twice a day at morning and nighttime, so don't panic if you don't see me on the afternoon! Thanks! Smiley
722  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: July 26, 2013, 04:27:42 PM
I appreciate you guys looking at all possible options. I am hoping for best case scenario, that Regin will return and get us back on track after dealing with his family emergency as its understandable that sometime family emergency can be priority number 1.

With that said.  Lets start planning for worst case scenario. We need to select a volunteer and fund his efforts if needed, so he may be onsite when the package is delivered. I personally have 300 chips on order to be assembled by ryepdx. also bought in to one of his KNC group buys.

Also, If this turns out to be a scam, we should also start planing for legal action.

Again, I am hoping for the best, but lets start planing for the worst.

Yeah, I personally think and believe that this isn't a scam (seeing that he could well go MIA after the chips are received, and his information and stuff matches out), but he might be in a dire emergency though.
723  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: July 26, 2013, 04:20:05 PM
Any updates on when Batch #1 might be arriving?

what this guy said  Smiley

DobZombie here, when should we be expecting batch one chip and board orders? Any word from Avalon?

At this rate, I think we should be seeing the chips at mid to late August. I check my Avalon store account daily and all of my orders are stuck at 'sample chips shipped' or even 'processing' Sad

TL;DR: Nope. Sad

第一个TX已confirm 了,但是第二个不知道为何不能confirm... 连blockchain.info 都给不出个理由。等等看如果还是一样,建议删除第2tx 在发过。

If it is at a deserted address in the USA, I'd be willing to fly there and pick them up/ ship them for whatever it costs...

Ugh, really? ... I hope it hasn't come to that. I thought raging had the foresight to choose an appropriate address.

PS: That location is a house, and a fairly new one for the record. Nope, it's not a dilapidated shed or anything like that...

Any 'surefire' ways of getting hold Avalon?

I haven't heard of any, unfortunately. They seem to be impossible to get ahold of by design.

I'll try and ask someone in China if they know of any other ways to get hold of them.

I think a good step at this point would be for John K to give ragin's number to ryepdx and have him call. This would accomplish a couple things. It would give us an update, potentially. Also, it would allow the two of them to talk about changing leadership of delivery and how that would be accomplished.

Yep, ryepdx already requested and I gave him the number about 10 minutes ago.
726  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: July 26, 2013, 03:51:50 PM
I've placed a note with all escrow order like this before placing the actual order, so Avalon should be clear that this is a group buy. This should qualify as a special case, right?

It should as far as I'm concerned. It sounds like they mostly just didn't want to have their resources diverted by people running an ad-hoc exchange on them.

Great, then I'll try to get hold of Avalon either way or other. Any 'surefire' ways of getting hold Avalon?

Just checked my records, and I'm quite sure that he owns that address the chips are being sent to. (utility bills, photos of house with door open etc)
727  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Group Buy#1] Avalon ASICs CHIPS! Using JohnK as escrow! FINISHED! on: July 26, 2013, 03:41:24 PM
We really need John K to weigh in on the address change policy.  Anyone buddy buddy with Bitsyncom?  Maybe he could shed some light too.

No Address Change - Unless it is a special case no address change will be allowed, please allocate time correctly to handle the delivery of these units, There has been too many people attempting to sell these units and changing their shipping address.....

I would highly encourage raging to speak up and say something. John can you get in touch with him? Do you have a tracking invoice and can we have someone pick the chips up possibly?

Do we have any way to know if
1) the ships have shipped at all?
2) the ships have been delivered?
3) ragingazn628 disappeared with the chips? ragingazn628 will ever log back online to calm the masses?

Hey guys,

Sorry for the delay - I'm just back from travelling.

1) The chips are not shipped yet except from the sample chips.
2) Nope
3) No idea on that

I am emailing/GTalk-ing him at a regular basis, and have not been able to get a response after the reply above.

Does anyone know how to get hold of Avalon for the chip address change? At this rate, I'm estimating that Avalon will not ship this until mid+ August, but it's certainly better to get everything in place ASAP. Truth to be told, I'm personally voting (although I don't have chips here) that a leader change to be done (ryepdx/steamboat/etc TBD later if needed) if possible seeing that he's quite busy/not responding lately.  Undecided

PS: Anyone who's in the States and is willing to phone him, please PM me for his phone number. Also, the shipping address is in Connecticut, if anything drastic is needed (waiting at the shipping addy for example).

如题,有order号码和日期最好。。。 Cry

。。https://blockchain.info/tx/ab497952714bcc8970aa186b9557880473b6f449e53dc8107bb3d19bcca0a4d6

等几天看看有没有miner会process,如果还是不行要求796删除旧的transaction然后重新发过transaction.

733  Economy / Auctions / Re: [AUCTION] 50 direct ASICMINER shares (Starting bid is only 4.50 BTC!) on: July 25, 2013, 11:59:55 AM
I offer to buy all 50 direct ASICMINER shares @ 4.6 BTC, on the condition the payment is put in escrow with John K (at my expense as per the auction conditions) until the shares are successfully transferred.

John K as escrow is fine.

...but my responsibility and control end in asking to friedcat to perform the share transfer, so the escrow should be released with my proof of having done that (CCing my PM to Friedcat to John K). Even because otherwise the buyer could try to falsely negate to have received his shares and then John K would have to investigate following the share payments. But I am open to suggestions on this by John K or maybe even Goat.

My standard escrow procedure for AM shares would be the release of funds after friedcat confirms the transfers directly via PM to me, or that the buyer confirms that he has got the PM from friedcat. The reason why would be to deter people 'overselling' shares as I've meet quite a few of them lately. Friedcat will always give a confirmation (and CC me) if you ask him to do so.

735  Economy / Services / Re: John (John K.)'s escrow service (previously known as johnthedong) on: July 24, 2013, 04:21:49 PM
just to be sure. the step by step part is this

1. send 1.5% fees to johnk's escrow wallet

2. verify on blockchain info

3. send the remainder to the escrow wallet

4. verify on blockchain info

5??
how do i GPG sign the agreements?

1. Send the fees to the 1NB... address as stated in the contract.

2. Verify on blockchain

3, Send the escrow amount to the escrow address in the contract

4. Verify on blockchain, and notify the seller/me via PM so that everyone's updated.

5. Wait for the goods to be shipped, and notify everyone when all is well to release the funds

Check the links posted above, but GPG signing is not mandatory as I understand not everyone uses GPG.

ok..

much appreciated.

i will have to pay the transaction fees for transfer between wallets right?

Yep, but I guess it should be 0 or at most 0.0005 unless the funds are really fragmented. The tx fees when the funds are released to the seller, if any, is on me/seller.

What do you mean by your "GPG signed bitcoin address?"

He will post a message to you like the 'gibberish' below; you can see the address in plaintext, and you can verify his signature using cryptography.

Does John K. escrow alts/alts?

Think so. It was discussed in the thread I was in earlier.

John K. only escrows alts if one side is BTC. He doesn't have a cold wallet system setup for alts so he can only hold the BTC part of the escrow here.

Ah, and he charges a 1.5% fee in total for escrows > 1BTC, and generally does escrow for free below 1BTC. PM him for anything!

Wink

He seems a cool guy. I've only overheard that though. If you ever see him, let him know he's valued!

I think he appreciates the kind words! Wink
