721  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why do exchanges get away with faking trade volume? on: August 09, 2020, 12:06:39 PM
The question is who will regulate them ? Many of this exchange are new exchange platform that exchange listing of shitcoin for new traders but get stuck in continuous listing of bad project. They also fake volume to rank higher in coinmarketcap and other crypto trading monitoring sites. Unless people stop patronizing them, they will never stop this. Some of them don't even have physical address which make it difficult to even sue or get then regulated

I think they do not care eve if the coin is shit or not. What matters to them is that they are getting payments from the owners of those coins or tokens.
The more tokens that will be listed on their exchange, the more money they can get.
Fake volumes are used by them to attract traders to invest on that particular coin.

It's illegal but it's hard to regulate them these days...

I'm Collier, it's indeed a pleasure to tap from this forum as it help a lot to facilitate the knowledge of cryptocurrency, provide guidelines and as well as help anyone who is seeking answers with a reliable one. Though the traditional fiat  system has done it's best to pose a sustainable livelihood for us but we humans deserve something better and that's what cryptography has come to offer or has offered already to a reasonable extent which have had a push in shifting people's interest from Fiat to Bitcoin and other altcoin in bid to tap from the diverse advantages, avoid inflation and more. I have been reading the threads on the forum for quite a long time even without having an account but just recently i thought it wise to have one in order to participate in discussions and also have room for questions and would as well provide answers to those who seek assistance regarding my area of specialization as a website developer precisely a back-end developer, also provide aid from what I've learnt earlier from the forum generally.

Members here will always entertain your questions regarding anything as long as your content is relevant to the topic and to the board.

723  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More and more moved Bitcoins from "Bitfinex Hack 2016" to unknown wallet-adress on: August 09, 2020, 10:00:13 AM
I guess the one behind this is having a hard time withdrawing all that funds or even using them. One wrong move, or go into a centralized platform, he will get caught.  Grin
There is no place to go if you are being chased Tongue.
Goodluck hackerman. I Hope you get caught.

It seems to me that you pay too much attention to this. Why do you need to know who they are sending these funds to?

Probably because it is one of the most known hacking of huge bitcoin funds? We are talking about huge amount of money here. It's great to know if the hacker gets caught Grin
724  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sending BTC as a gift to someone who doesn't have a wallet on: August 09, 2020, 09:30:54 AM

Hi.

I'm going to purchase some satoshis as a gift for my friend, and will have to email them to her.

To make it look more like a gift, I'm thinking maybe transferring the sats to a paper wallet from https://www.bitaddress.org/, and just send her the paper wallet as attachment to the email.

Is this the best way to give sats to someone, or are there better ways to do that?

That's a hassle man. Plus it is not the safest way. Also, I assume that someone that you will be sending your satoshis is just a beginner. She probably lacks knowledge about wallets, specially paper wallets. For me, paper wallet is not recommended for beginners. For now just assist them on a reputable and trustworthy wallets like Trustwallet.
Just to add... you use paper wallet to be away from online attacks, so do not send or store any paper wallet details on emails.
725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Network fee is killing my small profit on: August 09, 2020, 08:57:34 AM

The other day when I'm planning to do a cash out because I have done some trading coin and to take profit. To my surprise the fees is really high which killing most traders now. When btc becomes high it's value the fees it does increase. Well for that if there's any exchange could offer small fees it is good for us who can enjoy better profit.

Does all of each exchanges withdrawal fees? I mean, if you use bitcoin for your withdrawal on a particular exchange, it is also the same equivalent amount to USD or any fiats?
If not, try exchanging your funds on other cryptocurrencies. Ripple (XRP) has one of the lowest transaction fee, and also it is one of the fastest. It's based from my experience.
I heard, Litecoin also does have small fees (on some exchanges).

726  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You have to prove that you can take the loss on: August 09, 2020, 08:26:29 AM

Therefore even if you loose 100 Euro , you might have to get ready to prove that , the loss was indeed flexible and you can take it . Unfortunately now the Government is looking forward to regulate the online Gambling since , the revenues from the offline casinos have taken a strong loss , online Gambling is now being preferred since it's safer and much needed during the pandemic.

Well, it seems that the government is neutral there. It's nice to hear that they are taking actions on these kind of issues.
It's a little bit funny that they also took the advantage to get some taxes on them.
Am I right? If the government regulate the gambling site, they will also be having some money (tax) from the casino?
I'm okay with this since some countries are having trouble economically, it's a good way to add it on their tax collection.
727  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do scams harm Bitcoin's reputation in the mainstream world? on: August 09, 2020, 07:55:20 AM
There has been a lot of scams within the crypto space over the course of its lifetime. Most recently, a Twitter hack that took the accounts of prominent figures within the mainstream world, has been all over the news. Mainstream media has been making people believe that Bitcoin is "bad" by tying it to the Twitter hack. While malicious actors demanded to be paid in Bitcoin, it doesn't mean that the cryptocurrency itself is a scam. Unfortunately, many people in the mainstream world have commented about Bitcoin negatively because of the recent hack. Despite these unfortunate series of events, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are experiencing huge gains on the market.

Do you think that scams harm Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies' reputation in the mainstream world? What will it take for people to distance scams from Bitcoin itself? Thoughts? Huh

That latest twitter account hacking issue on well known personalities is one of the most clever way I've heard about scamming.
Sadly, a lot of innocent and hopeful people were scammed through that.

These kind of frauds might affect one's thoughts and views about bitcoin, preventing them on investing on it or even using the technology.
Worst case is that they might tell others and convince them that bitcoin or any other cryptocurrencies are just scam. However, bitcoin do not took a lot of damage from it.
In fact, bitcoin is continuously being more accepted worldwide.
728  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: I can't withdraw my tips on reddit on: August 09, 2020, 07:25:40 AM
You can't withdraw such amount, due the fact that it needs tx fee, though you can use 1 satoshi as a fee but mostly wallets require you to send at least 0.0001 btc or 10.000 satoshis.
If the system tells you that you have 0 satoshis, then you have 0 balance. Tried to message their support if the tip really reflects on your account.

That's now true, this guy sends just 50 satoshi in a second. https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/hxdxkg/this_is_how_fast_and_easy_it_is_to_send_bitcoin/

Yeah the problem must be with my balance, because if I received a 100 satoshi tip the balance should be 100 satoshi, not 0.0. Maybe I need to move the tip to the balance first somehow  Huh

I wrote to their support but so far no answer.

Haven't tried having tip on reddit, but I guess it is just similar to the tips or rains on Telegram. :/
You can't withdraw such amount, you must know first their minimum withdrawal.
A tip like 100satoshis is not that high...do not waste your time for that.... but it's okay if you want to.
Do want you want.

729  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dead by 2106 on: August 09, 2020, 01:44:02 AM

This was personally very interesting for me since I had no idea that something like this might happen if change wasn't made on time , what are your thoughts on this ?

Can't the developers dump all old blocks? I don't know such development but if it would be possible, then why not? Also, thinking about 2106 or almost 86 years away from now is just funny and ridiculous. This year even had a lot of surprises from time to time, even had huge worldwide issues happening every month. Even the bitcoin itself is still being studied by some countries if they would legalize or not. And, some of aspiring cryptocurrencies are also promising and might defeat the Bitcoin's back-end system and it's "final block" death.
730  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What makes a good bettor? on: August 09, 2020, 12:59:21 AM
I've been thinking about betting and what allows a person to be good at it. There's reason to believe that betting on, say, sports, is skill-based, as at least there are some people famous for being good at it. But if a person is betting on horse races, does the person need to know a lot about horses and horse races or can one be a successful bettor based on other things (for instance, choosing a certain strategy based on the odds or simply reading what others say about an upcoming race)? Is it about knowing how to bet or what you're betting on, what do you think? And do you think betting something a person can become good at or is it that there's a low probability of there being people who bet successfully on a regular basis and these people just exist?

For me what makes a good bettor if he can hold his sh*t and not be addicted on gambling. Discipline is what makes a gambler a better one. Why? Because despite that you win nor you have skills, gambling is just in fact a game of luck, with dozens of doors that you wouldn't know what's behind. Hence, no matter how smart and clever you are in playing gambling games/betting in it, you will always be a bad one if you don't even know how to manage yourself.

You must lock this thread. The answer is already given a long time ago, it is the watch button. It is the notification feature of the forum yet directly sends via email. Though not that convenient as the Telegram Bot of TryNinja, it was still the legendary notify feature of the forum in which the answer to your inquiry. If you really wanted a script, maybe soon some would do such thing. But AFAIK, it needs to access your account to know whether your post was moved by mods or moved by yourself.

732  Economy / Gambling / Re: A list of the best Keno casino games. on: August 08, 2020, 11:03:59 AM
Everybody knows how great an easy-to-play casino game is, right? Well I definitely do Wink
Keno casino games found popularity in the United States right along with the growth of online gambling in the late 1990s, and now? Its better than ever!
I've been trying to find a good list of them, to say the least: a struggle, but I did come across one good article. I really enjoyed the 'Super Keno' casino game, definitely worth a shot.

Are you sure that was the list of all best keno-supported online casino platforms? Highlighted the word "struggle", even google can easily give you a better list. How come do you really promote such list of casinos that we (some) didn't ever heard of nor had any clues with? Maybe I was just a gambler that gambles on popular and trusted platforms to of course prevent having issues. Also, how do you define 'best'?

Better edit this with the ideas from other comments. FJ also is a good platform with a nice keno game (completely an opinion)..

EDIT: This must also be moved to the Gambling Discussion board.
733  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos Withdrawal Fees Rise | August 2020 🔥 on: August 08, 2020, 07:06:14 AM
There is nothing we can do but wait until the mempool transaction declined or cash out big.

Or we can rather just use XRP or DOGE for transactions or just use it in gambling instead? Such actions/strategies helped me to lessen the pain with the transaction fees of bitcoin has. I've been using those in my gambling activities and had no any difference with the betting per se nor the gaming/games itself in various gambling platforms. Those alt's systems are fast and pretty fine for me yet the biggest flaw is that some gambling platforms doesn't support those, nor could exchange between BTC to any of the two mentioned.

But I prefer the cash out big idea if my suggestion isn't applicable in the situation. In my campaign, Casineos, the fee to withdraw is almost 5$ hence holding btc is a better and much preferable idea (even though holding money on a gambling platform was risky)
734  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is This Kind Of Fairness Stake.com ??? on: August 08, 2020, 02:42:39 AM
2 days ago I make some deposit on stake.com and I want continue my previous bet, but I see some weird thing on my old bet "My old bet was disappear" it means I can't find my history old bet event on bet archive is nothing about it, and after looking more often on "transactions tab > Deposits > Withdrawals >Bets > Other > even Vault" the only trace about my balance when I was bet is on Deposit.

Have you lost money? I mean can't you repeat your bet history, like go place the bet again? Stake had a lot of positive reviews as it is still fair to its customers. Maybe such issues were just caused by a bug. But there are also a possible (less likely to happen) reason, that you're network connection were slow making such features disappear (in which is see was too impossible if you can access other pages with no technical faults).

As most would recommend you to do, better wait or send the stake admins here in the forum with the matter. Lock this once everything was solved.

736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Regulations in online Gambling sites on: August 07, 2020, 08:55:48 AM

But 100£ cap is too low.

For me this is a much better regulation idea. Why? It is simply because it would limit the gambling activities you can do per month and as well as limit how much you can spend on gambling in a month. The fact that most gamblers are often get addicted onto it and spend almost half to even every money or belongings they have (some sells those so they can have money to gamble), it is a better way to eradicate such instances, not for the government, but for the gamblers as well.
737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it worth paying to advertise your ref link? on: August 07, 2020, 08:03:06 AM
Is it worth paying to advertise your ref link?

It depends on how you advertise it. Some advertisements are too ugly and often had no clicks nor attentions to anyone, yet some endorses too good that it attracts so many referrals/clients. Hence, it would only be worth it once your ads would look wonderful and attractive. But still, there's a flaw with it, most people nowadays prefer adblocking extensions in their browsers or browsers that have adblockers built-in. Hence, if it would be now, then I think signature here in forum is much worth than paying ad spaces in any websites that would only be adblocked.
738  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beirut explosion - Lesson to learn from this. on: August 06, 2020, 01:08:04 PM
plosion should be a wake-up call to all of us, to store your Paper wallets and cold wallets in more than one geographical location.

Then wouldn't it be better if we wouldn't store it in paper wallets at all? Cold wallets are much better than paperwallets of course. But still, using cloud as your storage for your crypto-holdings and private keys must be the better alternative and not such data being scattered in many geographical location. What if the user/holder only has one place to live? Would he dig the soil and plant his wallets to the garden nearby him just for the sake of 'safety'?

Still, wake up call here is that you must learn to be secured online. Use cloud as you storage or even any online wallets. Then that would be enough.
739  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots in Online Casinos on: August 05, 2020, 06:27:09 AM
I find myself in somehow disturbed when visiting some (big) online casinos and there is hundreds and hundreds of slot games..  presented just like that ..
This is not resembling in anyway the slot machines in a (real) casino !

The only reason here is that many online casinos get bigger profit in such games that only depends by chance and not with any strategies that can be applied. Slots are just the same as on both offline physical slot games and on online ones, it's just a matter of media simulation. Hence, most still adopts such games as it gives bigger satisfaction to customers and clients on both offline and online slot-supported casinos.

The biggest variations in slot machines is just the layout, some people prefer furuturistic layouts, others prefer ancient looking ones. But there are other differences too, for example there are usually bigger friendly slot where the minimum bet is fairly low. Also when you get a free starting balance in a casino it's usually just for a few favourite slot games. In the end it's just best to try to various games and choose the ones you like.

I don't think the layouts matter in most gamblers. Whatever it looks as long as the animations and the sounds resembles to the physical ones.
740  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeFi - Which coins have the best fundamentals and still have huge potential? on: August 02, 2020, 08:49:26 AM
My position on ETH is not very big but I think the coin has some potential and I wanted to bet a small amount on it.

I would like to also take smaller bet directly on the best DeFi tokens directly but I'm really noob on the subject so this why I would appreciate some help.

If you really wanted to earn a lot, then invest a lot. The bigger ETH you have, the bigger profit you can make especially if you plan to be a daily trader instead of a long term investor. But with regards to what DeFi tokens, I think it would be much profitable if you rather trade registered and well-known promising cryptocurrencies such as ETH itself and Bitcoin of course. Why? DeFi tokens is just the same as most scam projects with tokens nowadays, and I think you must avoid investing on such especially if they had issues posted in Scam Accusations.
