The dude gotta be forgetting how to remain professional if it was intentional. Anyway, Coach Aldin knows what's best for the team and he won't take those with attitude for sure. He knows if it's a force play or out of luck but that's it, they'll pay for his remainder based on his contract, and let's wait if there's already someone who's going to replace him. But I'm sure that if it's coach Aldin that has decided on this one, he's gonna take someone better than him as he's serious about coaching the FiberXers Hopefully, they find a good replacement for him. They are still in for the playoffs, so a good import is really needed for them to move to the next round. Hopefully, they will find someone that has no attitude problem and will follow the instruction of the coach. It will be a quick fix for them and if they've proven that he did it intentionally then he can just walk away with the pay that he's got.
I'm really eyeing for the Converge FiberXers to have some momentum and get to the finals and then you know, get the ring.
They are good but I do not think they can get past stronger teams like TNT or San Miguel, especially, now that they have a problem with import. They are a young team, so they have a lot to learn yet. Maybe when they mature more, they will be able to challenge stronger teams in the finals. |

Lots of speculations that Converge lose that game on purpose as their import only scored lower compared to its usual in 35 minutes of playing. But looking at the standing, win or loss, I don't see how it will impact the final position of teams.
The courtside reporter also tells during the game that Franklin is always trying to make several hoops last game even if it's hard to attempt and not sure if it's going to be a successful shot. That's what Coach Ayo pointed out and maybe Franklin take it as a big deal.
I don't think so. He had some open shots, but it looks like he wasn't a willing shooter in that game. Though he shot a lot, he knows his outside shots are of high percentage. They were also in a position where the lead of Ginebra had already ballooned, so as an import, he should act and try to come back to win. I'm seeing that there's something wrong with him, or maybe he was ordered not to shoot the ball and let the Kings win. Just came across this article stating that Converge is letting Jamal Franklin go. They will still pay the remainder of his contract, but they are moving forward to the playoffs without Jamal Franklin. I do not know who will replace him, but it is too near the playoffs, and they may not have the chemistry needed to win a series. They never banned it for the entire series, for three games. It's crazy to think that Team Liquid never banned it when the first game Lina had already given them a problem. Even it's jabbz that played for pos 5 and insania for pos 4, the adjustment was quite hard on them but it's too obvious for them to just ban comfort heroes of GG. They all knew how good this team was even before the other tournaments. On the game 3, it's funny that the whole Team Liquid was just laughing with what they're doing, that's already a sign that they accept defeat.
They are just enjoying the moment. You can see it in their faces. That is the best round of the finals. Team Liquid was able to make some good plays and at some point I thought they could bag that round even when the lead is so big. The problem is not the hero but how Nisha is dominated by Quinn in all of their game. GG will just use a different hero if they will ban Lina and it's very easy to counter Lina if it doesn't have a good laning phase which he always has since the rotation doesn't help Nisha at all compared to when Boxi does it to support Nisha. I think the gameplay is purely relying to Boxi when they are facing strong team. They just manage to beat Talon because they are ahead in skills individually which is why they are strong on laning phase. GG deserves it because they always have a flawless team fights. RIP to those who bet an outright bet for Team Liquid as wnner.
Nisha will not be easily overpowered by Quinn if Boxi was there. Another problem is Jabbz has a limited hero pool. Though they made an adjustment for the Finals, it is not enough. They cannot just adjust game plays that instant.

I don't like teams who are reliant on theor outside shooting.
But that was the thing now in the NBA that even big man is having a good outside shooting percentage. It's not like before when "defense is the best offense".However, comparing Bucks and Celtics, the former has the upper hand in terms of inside scoring and it's obvious that Giannis Antetoukoumpo's main forte' is always in the paint. Unlike in Boston Celtics, that mostly, their field goal always came from perimeter and rainbow area shooting. Now depends on how they will execute their respective strategy if they will faced each other in the playoffs. Everything will boil down to defense if these two will meet in the Conference Finals. The better defense will win. On this note, I like the chance of the Celtics being better than the Milwaukee Bucks. Sure, no one on the Celtics team will be able to pin down or even slow down Giannis alone. But good thing is, it is a team sport. The Celtics have a good defense, and they are on par with scoring with the dynamic duo of Brown and Tatum. |

This is the Lina Major, not the Lima Major, but congrats to GG for winning it, although I'm not sure a lot of people enjoyed watching it apart from those bettors who just won their bets  I do not know why Team Liquid won't ban Lina. It is obvious that after 2 maps, they are owned by Lina. Is it pride that keeps them from banning it? I do not see any other reason. Anyway, congratulations to Gaimin Gladiator for winning the Lima Major. It is quite boring since they dominated team Liquid in all 3 matches, but I guess that is what we get if one team is missing an original player. They still deserve this win. I guess we have nothing to watch for a while in DOTA. What's up with CS? Any good tournament to follow? |

Game 1 for the grand finals ended and it was taken by GG. I thought that Liquid will still be able to win that first match but it's noticeable that without boxi, they've got a different playstyle. In the first minutes of the game, it seems that Liquid is playing trash and is like the thrower of the game.
But then, it's just game 1 and there are few games left to see if they've learned from this match. Lina pick again that has lost against NP, they just like giving away lina and don't want to ban it.
Once GG has its hands on Lina, it is an automatic win for them. Team Liquid should ban Lina in the first round because Gaimin Gladiators will have the upper hand once they got a hold of her. Nisha needs to step up too and force Quinn to make mistakes. Quinn is playing perfectly and has control over Nisha. This is more evident in game two where the map finished too early. Maybe the result will be different if Boxi is playing but right now, Gaimin Gladiator is head and shoulder above team Liquid. Let's see if it will change in the 3rd map. |

About the Grizzlies, I think they survived even without Ja in the early season.
It is just a two-game suspension so they can weather this out until he comes back. Memphis is a strong team even without Ja Morant. Couple of upsets tonight:
Bucks losing to Philly, ending their winning streak. Joel Embiid put a sensational defense on Giannis in the fourth quarter and then together with Harden, outscored them in the final quarter, 48-31.
Sacramento losing to the Wolves - very close game between the two, but Anthony Edwards and former Utah Mike Conley seal the win for them Wolves.
They both lost at home. Not really an upset since both of their opponents are tough opponents but these games are the legs of my parlay and they both lost. That is what upsets me. That's not good for him, as he has lots of major sponsorships that gave him a lot of money. If he can't change his life, then I think his career with the NBA will be short. As a superstar, he has a big responsibility, which is to be a role model, and his actions have shown that he is not living up to that responsibility.
Well, he already posted an apology and admitted that he needs help. If he is sincere with what he posted, the should get help. It will be beneficial for his own career in the NBA if he gets straight. He got lots of potentials and it will be a shame if all that goes away just because of some silly mistakes. |

On first game, I think the Bolts will get this one so I'd rather bet on spread or total rather than the winner. On the 2nd game, I think the odds of Ginebra winning is still attractive at least for me. I will bet on them this time.
Meralco won the game against Phoenix Fuel Master. They won by six points. I feel like Meralco has a hard time in closing games. They have a good lead with two minutes left in the game, but they let Phoenix make a run and closed the game. Then McDaniels fouled out that gave the Phoenix Fuel Masters a chance to snatch a win. Luckily Newsome was there for a block and some timely rebound to make sure that they secure the win. What do you think about that game? Did you see something unusual like I did?
That is really uncharacteristic for the import. I did not watch the whole game, only a glimpse but when I saw that Ginebra have a double-digit lead, I already know Ginebra will win. My take is Franklin likes to play iso but that would not work for a defensive team like Ginebra. Maybe he was overwhelmed by the defense of Ginebra so he was taken out of his usual performance. |

After watching Liquid play without Boxi yesterday I don't think they have what it takes to win against Talon. This is the best 3 teams left in the tournament and playing without one member is costly. It is not so much that his replacement is bad it is just that he isn't Boxi and can't even do 30% of rotations and plays Boxi was doing. I don't see Liquid taking even one map unless they manage to out draft Talon by a lot and have easy to execute draft at the same time.
I do not know if Talon underestimated team Liquid because Boxi is not playing but they lost the first map. They have out laned Jabbi early but they forget to account that 4 of team Liquid's players are still very good and can carry their analyst. In the end, they lost badly to Team Liquid on the first map. I feel like team Liquid can win this series against Talon but maybe it will go to the third map. Anyway, I think GG will win this tournament. Team Liquid is incomplete, and GG already beat them yesterday. Talon is already tired. They have two matches yesterday and have to play early against Liquid. It does not matter who wins the Lower Bracket Finals, GG will destroy them in the Finals. |

The Phoenix Suns are now officially a very scary team after the game against Chicago and they just boost their chances to win the Finals this year. Devin Booker seems like he's getting back to his old self with Durant on their team as he now have more spaces to make shots. Just like what I've said before, It is impossible to double team Durant, Booker, CP3, and Ayton all at the same play.
I may not be rooting for them to win the championship, but I cant deny the fact how strong this team is. Does Chris Paul finally get his first ring this year? Let's see about that lol.
They are scary. The only thing that could stop them to make the finals and win a championship is their health. If KD and CP3 will remain healthy for the rest of the season, they have a very high chance of winning it all. Hopefully they do because I do want to see CP3 win a ring before his playing days are over. But it's evident enough that Westbrook improved and did well enough to help the team keep afloat but they still failed because PG didn't make it as that was their only chance to break their lose streak or should I say curse? Their next match-up is again against a team who is that easy to defeat, it's the #2 seed in the West, Grizzlies. It will be a big challenge for them again.
Then they would extend their losing streak by 1 more game at least even though I feel like the Clippers have a higher chance to beat the Grizzlies than the teams they faced after Westbrook's acquisition. If they do lose, they will drop again in the ranks. That will not look very good for Westbrook's resume come next season. And with 16 games left, I feel it will be hard for WB to redeem his name. Bleacher Report is now saying that the Grizzlies have suspended Ja Morant for the next two games over what happened on his Instagram Live. I guess he was at a night club when he was displaying his gun, which I don’t believe was legal. It will be interesting to see if he’s going to get some consequences from Powerade as a result of this.
Edit: Looks like his IG and Twitter accounts are now both suspended.
What's going on with this guy? Should just focus on his game than pulling this kind of stuff. He still have a lot to prove. |

It seems Team Liquid is not the same monster on this Major with their full lineup but they did make it to top 3 though so even if they ended up losing the next one as well then atleast it is guaranteed that they are going to walk away with some DPC points
Not the same though. They have this Major locked in if Boxi is healthy. It is just different when someone in your lineup is suddenly replaced. But they have no choice, they have to prioritize Boxi's health. The effect of Boxi not playing is very evident against GG. Gaimin Gladiators walked easily on them on both maps.
 Talon vs Shopify Rebellion has just begun. I am taking some action on this series. It will be a close match so I am betting it will take 3 maps to know the winner of this series. Both teams are good and it will be a toss between the two who will win. But I am going to SR to take this series. |

Meralco survived against Converge in a close game. They were ahead in the first half, but Converge came back with a huge 3rd quarter run. Meralco had a good 4th quarter, bringing the game into overtime. Meralco was just lucky during overtime, as Franklin fouled out. If he hadn't, then Converge might have won. Additionally, we saw some action when Ebonia and Maliksi clashed, with Maliksi charged with a Flagrant Foul Penalty 2.
Overall, the game was very entertaining. It seems like one overtime wasn't even enough for these two teams.
Converge got a good run during the third quarter but Meralco's 4th quarter tight defense bring them back in the game and push it to OT, nothing to say about these two teams both are really playing well and both are eager to win, just so happen that Meralco got lucky and snatch the game in overtime. Congrats to all those who picked them before the game started. They are the underdog, easy double for your money. Got that win and the good odds as well since I bet early for this match. I was glued on the screen because I thought Meralco was going to botch this game after the Maliksi's flagrant 2 foul that could have put Converge within 2 points + possession. Luckily, Teng was not able to make the first free throw and Meralco's defense after that was impressive. Congrats to my fellow winners. |

As for the Clippers, if Kawhi will take a sit against the Kings, then their chances are very slim to win that game in my opinion.
Is Kawhi still on load management? I am under the impression that he is going full time right now because of their position in the west. They will need to win games in order to get back to their former ranking after a 4 game losing skid. Without Kawhi, it would be hard to beat the Kings on their home. LeBron James' injury looks serious. He will be out of the hardwood for at least 3 more weeks. Due to his age, it can be difficult to come back from injuries. It won't mean much if the Lakers don't make the playoffs. Without him, the Lakers have to win games. Players such as Schröder, Reaves, Beasley should contribute more to the score and give the team victories in these difficult days. The Lakers are standing right on the edge. They can finish the league in 7th place or they can stay out of play-in position.
That would be bad for the Lakers. They are trying to make a push to get into the playoffs but without 1 of their stars, it will be hard for the Lakers to win the games they needed. Maybe against weaker team, a Lebron-less Lakers will still pull a win, but it will hard if they face stronger teams. Lakers will be needing his service against the teams Mavs, Warriors, Memphis or Knicks. These are some of the teams they will face in the next 7 games. Clippers are 0-4 wince Russel came and we can say that Russel has negative impact in his first games for Clippers even if the entire team played badly.
Lakers are keeping fans on the edge as there are still very small chances for them to make the play offs. Somehow, I expected this to happen for the Clippers but a 0-4 standing since the trade is quite unexpected as I thought they could manage it after a couple of games with Westbrook but that wasn't the case. PG and Kawhi are not that efficient enough since the trade, I don't what is the reason but I could definitely tell that there's some changes. In their defense, those 4 teams are not really pushover teams. Warriors, Timberwolves, Kings and Nuggets are good teams. It is not easy to win against those teams. |

Danny I was unstoppable during his heyday, but I do not think he can still make a difference right now. He is just too old to be competitive in PBA but maybe he thinks there is still something that he can contribute to the team. That is yet to see once he is on the court.
Taking an early bet on the game today. I will not be able to watch this game so I hope my bet hits. Taking the underdog Meralco against Converge. Even though they lost against Ginebra last Wednesday, I like how they performed. And if they can do that against Converge, maybe they can win.  |

I want LGD to still perform but it really is painful to see them lose some games that could have been theirs. The roster is quite good mechanically but not fully in sync. A lot could still happen since the road to the International is still long. They could still improve and turn the tables around. But yeah, one can only hope by now.l that they improve and Xiao8 help them a lot.
Yeah, this is just the first major and there are still lots of tournaments between now and TI. They have a lot of opportunities to improve their team chemistry. I expect them to be better on the next Major. Hopefully, they will be complete and no visa issues that could cripple their team. For the next set of matches later today, i'll be betting on Team Liquid -1.5@1.78, SR showed up against Team Spirit but I don't think they have a chance against Team Liquid. Damn thats a better odds, I got the same bet at 1.65 but as long as Team Liquid ended up winning this then its still great. Its risky but I'd love to take a shot on this. Worst case scenario would be Arteezy pulling something crazy like he did in the previous game against Team Spirit then somehow SR ended up winning that clutch game Team Liquid has shown their dominance in the first match. Once I saw Lina on Team Liquid, I was thinking it is an automatic win. Maybe SR was thinking they can counter Lina but that is just not true. This patch, Lina is just too strong to give to your opponent. It is either you get it or you ban it. And true enough, team Liquid dominated the first map. It is now 2nd map and SR banned Lina on the first ban round.
Earlier, Gaimin Gladiator made easy work of Entity. I think Entity is quite strong in this tournament, but Gaimin Gladiator made it look too easy to beat Entity. Quinn is just too strong and confident with his new team. They are now guaranteed top 3 and waiting for the winner of Team Liquid vs Shopify Rebellion. |

EG with the lead after map one. I felt like Beastcoast drafted a bit out of their comfort zone here, not used to seeing Dark Mago on Lesh but I am not following them that closely so I could be wrong.
They were out drafted in the first map. EG banned almost all the best heroes of K1. On the second map, I think Beastcoast drafted well but still, EG is way better than them. Beastcoast is now eliminated from the game. EG will move on to face Aster next round in the Lower Bracket. Next game will be PSG.LGD vs Team Spirit. I was expecting these teams to be the favorite but one of them will have to go home after this series. I think Team Spirit is a better team but we cannot deny how dangerous PSG.LGD can still be. Another exciting game coming up. |
