741  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you trust chart analysts? on: March 06, 2018, 09:06:54 PM
Do you really trust chart analyst?lot of people predict bitcoin price with chart analyst.but i don't trust them.i think bitcoin price and other crypto price depend on supply, demand and NEWS.
If you are a holder you do not need to trust such a thing which is just one more reason to become a holder, when you are a trader you need to make a lot of analyses and yet you are not sure that what you are doing is going to work at all but as a holder you can just watch the price do its thing without any worry.

This.

Buying and holding is the best strategy for MOST people, because most people don't have the TA skills/experience to be making a lot of trades. Also a good trader has to take emotion out of it and trade with discipline based on a strategy.

Another point I wanted to add is that some of the TA is almost like a self fulfilling prophecy....if everyone is watching the 50 day moving avg and all agree when price touches it that its a bullish sign and everyone goes long....well you get my point.

I dumped my GoByte, congrats on whoever got my coins for $9.8. I mined them anyway Grin
I feel sorry for those who invested their money at $80/GoByte.
Just like Innova and Vivo, GoByte is made to make money, nothing else. Now it's slowly going to die along with Innova and Vivo since they are not making as much money.

Sigh... Roll Eyes

Not everyone is in this just for the money dude...behind every coin there are people with visions and real interest in blockchain tech. I've been in this game for 4+ years and I can't tell you how many times I have seen post like yours saying "oh this coin is dead"...only to come back months later and the coin is still doing fine.

Do you think that the core team is just going to be like "oh ok we give up the price went down"...?

blockchains dont just stop because the price of the coin went down...theres a huge reason why bitcoin has the name the honey badger of money. the same name can be applied to any coin as long as it has support

I don't think you understand the crypto craze. Now it is a cash cow in everyone's eyes. Blockchain technology is secondary. Easy, quick money.
It will take a year or two to calm down. Everyone hoping for another bull run in early 2018 just like 2017. It ain't gonna happen.
Those who were in the game and hoarded coins in 2016 and early 2017 won, everyone else lost.

My point was that the developers are in it to develop and experiment with blockchain hints as to why gobyte will live on and be fine. A cash cow is a marketing/business term used to define a product that has zero competition and will yield revenue for years....i don't think that is a good analogy for crypto-currency investing  Cheesy

Also how can you be so sure that there will not be another bull run this year? How can you compare the market in 2016 to the market now? They are completely different...

743  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] VIVO - Masternodes, ASIC-Resistant, Secure, High MN Rewards, Decentralized on: March 06, 2018, 05:30:15 PM
Do not sell, the project is alive, this is the last announcement in order to keep the network fully working  https://redd.it/81j93i
Alive like a cat bounce back before dead or really alive? I am not sure but the whole market witnessed massive corrections, so I think VIVO supporters should not worry about it's current price.

I am always wondering why all those people who are concerned with the recent market dynamics can't watch charts. If they watched the charts they would see that this was a major negative downtrend and nothing that affected VIVO in alone.

Ya its been the same scenario with most masternode coins that launched within the past 6 months, same parabolic move followed by natural correction. I think most of these coins will find an equilibrium soon since they have so much locked away in masternodes and most of these coins see masternode counts going up.

The longer established masternode coins have shown different price action but from my experience with DMD, when bitcoin goes up the price of masternode coins dont dump as hard as other speculative coins in the top 150.

745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] CoinPoker: Poker future is today! on: March 06, 2018, 03:58:31 PM
Noticed that in the previous pages people are concerned about bots, this is a universal problem with poker sites so its not an isolated incident. Nitrogen is plagued with them...but honestly most of the time they are dead money, its extremely difficult to create a poker bot that will actually play every street concurrent with a set of rules. Every situation is different in poker....so usually you will get these bots that just overshove preflop with a range of hands, so they can easily be beaten.

I will say im impressed with this project so far, Mercier's sister is not only attractive but also has good connections so hopefully this will make a better impression on the poker community then breakout stake did.
746  Economy / Gambling / Re: play poker using ETH or BTC on: March 06, 2018, 03:36:39 PM
i want to play poker, who use BTC or ETH as a bet, where can i find it? for those if you who understand, please inform me. thank you
if you are a serious player then none of crypto sites are good to play , the traffic is dead so no need to waste your time unless you want to play for fun then you go for nitrogen
I would recommend americascard room and betonline , they both support bitcoin and you can deposit and withdraw using it
betonline doesn't ask for ID in case you want to use crypto , the rake is a little bit high there but the field is softer than americascardroom

This.

Although nitrogen has seen a big increase in players in the last year they still are dwarfed by the volume of bigger sites. But remember that when you deposit on america's card room or ignition that your bitcoin auto converts to USD and you lose the added benefit of gains if the price of btc goes up.

On nitrogen it's different, its like an ALL btc room. But nitrogen is terrible for tournaments, they don't even have antes in their tournament structures lol....but they do have good promotions

How is this project better than LBRY or DECENT? only focus on this thread seems to be on the free coins people want...and how is Mark Cuban involved?
748  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Americans jail a 24 year old for selling bitcoins wthout asking for ID on: March 06, 2018, 03:21:36 PM
If you thought this was bad read the case of Jason Klein, middle aged family man nearly sentenced to years in prison just for selling bitcoin.

http://time.com/5161663/bitcoin-sting-jason-klein-crypto-irs-money-transmitter/

It goes to show the lack of understanding by LE and the clandestine tactics they use to basically label someone a criminal.

TLDR- He ended up getting a reduced sentence to probation after they had to spend all their money and get the whole town to vouch for him....it's sad really. I am embarrassed to be American anymore  Cry
749  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bob's Repair Initial Coin Offering on: March 06, 2018, 03:12:50 PM
wish all the best to the people working on this project but I just cant bring myself to believe that there needs to be a decentralized version of angies list....

maybe im wrong maybe there is a bunch of fraud in that space but not every industry in the world needs a decentralized blockchain based solution...just my opinion
750  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAG] X11 POS/POW+Masternodes MAGNET / magnetwork.io on: March 05, 2018, 08:57:20 PM
ive setuped my first magnet node, installing worked fine for me
but after couple of hours i noticed that my masternode disappeared
in masternode list. i started it again through wallet and it worked again.
what could be a reason for disappearing in the list?
P.S. i have staking = 0

I tryed both staking = 0 and staking = 1, have still the same issue
after an hour my node get "EXPIRED" status, what cause that?
any help please..

I dont think it matters what you have staking=X set to

try
cd magnet
./magnetd masternode status

try that and see what it says, also its best to go into discord channel, its really easy to enter and you will most likely get 1on1 chat support from dev team or experienced community members, good luck and congrats on your first node
751  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Binary-Chain - VeriCoin and Verium - The First Dual-Blockchain Protocol on: March 05, 2018, 08:10:59 PM
the actual wallet is really heavy on my system, it takes at least 4x more CPU than other wallets.

I experienced this in the past with vericoin, I think they took some stuff out of the previous versions to reduce the amount of CPU it would use....but i feel your pain, that wallet would almost make my cpu unusable...and just to stake.

On a side note im excited to see what the first binary chain wallet will look like
752  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Etherium Classic - Callisto airdop 5th of March 2018 on: March 05, 2018, 07:43:50 PM
yobit ddos what a surprise...

ETC targeted during this airdrop cant help but think, fake twitters and ddos...none of this happened during ltc fork
753  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: March 05, 2018, 04:12:55 PM
in the end if noone fill the orderbooks its another empty exchange

so we need feedback of people willing to play marketmaker on the  cryptobridge decentral exchange
else i think we dont waste BTC on it

Its a good dex but we got bittrex and livecoin, 2 good exchanges, I don't really see a need to list it on crypto-bridge, from my experience its mainly used for coins that are struggling to get listed on any exchanges or have wallet issues on their one primary exchange and they need a backup to trade on...

I wouldnt waste the btc on it, the books will be dry
754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MAG] X11 POS/POW+Masternodes MAGNET / magnetwork.io on: March 05, 2018, 04:04:33 PM

My friend and I are currently happy accumulating MAG in these cheap prices. People should learn to stop FOMOing. Don't buy the top. Anyway, this coin is very solid in its own terms. Anyone who is willing to sell their coins at a much lower price is well appreciated.  Grin

every time I want to ask - HOW COULD YOU RECOGNISE THAT COIN IS VERY SOLID? where did you get this info?

I will simply quote from masternodes.online because they put it succinctly and elegantly:

"ROI changes often and it not the most important factor. Please consider Dev Team - Community - PURPOSE/Platform - Liquidity - Wallet when making masternode purchases."

Read the whitepapaer
Go on github and do research on the contributors to the codebase
Get on discord and keep an eye on the conversation between the developers and the community

blockchain-man said it. Put your resources into what you consider to be good projects. If you think GoByte is a good project, then stay and shut up. If you don't then leave and shut up.
Either way, shut up everyone! Roll Eyes
That's right though. I even read at some other coin's thread a guy asking the dev's when will the next announcement/bump come (obviously in order for him to dumb higher)... people these days only have demands like they own the whole world.

Even if there was announcements/releases I don't think it would effect the price that much, just seems like a bunch of masternode coins followed this same market cycle pattern from all time highs late last year and a big correction into 2018.

The bright side is that we are likely near the bottom
756  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] AMP - The Currency That Powers Your Attention On Synereo on: March 02, 2018, 09:20:45 PM
Hi All,

as a longterm hodler of AMPs I'm very happy with the recent development. These guys are working hard on it and will get successful.
It's quite hard to see which posts are only FUD and little try's to manipulate a currency.
Fact is, this project is going for quite some time now, and they still keep going. And fact is, they do what they promise, again and again ...

...if I had any cash left, I would get more AMP's for sure.

Good luck, thank you so far and all the best to the devs.

I supported Synereo and participated in meetups through the 2nd crowdsale and up until the debacle with Greg Meredith, their community was always respectful and honest to me and when I check up on whats going I see the same familiar faces still working on the project, I think that shows they are in it for the long run.

I still hold some AMPs and have been meaning to get into wildspark and give it a try. Best of luck to Dor and Synereo team, wish you all the best in 2018
757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔥🚀 ZACA Coin (ZACA) [Scrypt PoW PoS Masternodes] | NO ICO | Bounty 🔥🚀 on: March 02, 2018, 09:03:44 PM
I cant even keep up with how many of these masternode coins are coming out now, its insane to think that late last year masternode.online had ~30 listings, now their are close to 150....that's incredible really, and most of them arent even listed on coin market cap, its like the masternode coins have branched off and are a subtle niche market within the broader crypto currency market.

758  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BCC] Bitconnect Coin - Decentralized Cryptocurrency on: March 02, 2018, 07:37:02 PM
WOW! Looks like this thread died.  Cry Cry Cry

Actually now seems to be just a place to post and shill new up and coming ponzi schemes...

Can anyone tell me what is actually happening with BCC? is there actually attempts to keep the coin running? probably alot of poor saps out their staking their coins at a 90% loss.....makes me sick, it still pisses me off that the people who lost were mostly newcomers who didn't/couldn't have known any better

BCC only shut its lending due to people complaining. It was in no trouble as the price was going up all the time even one whole year after the ICO. It caused a knock on effect on every other platform but some were already scams.

BitconnectX I think finished its ICO so there should be some news coming soon for BCC. It will be traded on there at least plus Trade Satoshi (a small exchange). Others are delisting it.

So who knows what is going to happen. The price did fall after the demand for BCC fell and many people sold their BCC in a panic since it made sense to as the price was falling. There was no evidence bitconnect dumped their coins and they still have millions of BCC. Their BitconnectX ICO should have raised close to half a billion dollars!!

BitconnectX twitter 11 hours ago posted their wallet download: https://twitter.com/bitconnectx/status/969078256912814080

if bitconnectX is the same people from bitconnect why would they need to do an ICO?
759  Economy / Gambling / Re: Official Americas Cardroom Thread on: March 02, 2018, 06:00:39 PM
I have 4+ years experience with crypto and MTT poker experience dating back to Full tilt/Poker stars days

I am glad to see you guys on this forum and also appreciate that you guys accept bitcoin. But as an investor and poker player one of the downsides to depositing bitcoin with you guys is that it automatically converts to USD and I lose the potential appreciation of my bitcoin. I may as well just deposit with my debit card...

With nitrogen their entire room is based off of BTC, this is one of the reasons I would maybe play there first. Although they don't have near the volume or tournament selection that you guys do.
760  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: March 02, 2018, 05:52:09 PM
No

there are like 100+ developers working with bitcoin not even being paid
