A few more pics of where I am :

Oh and I also saw this yesterday. The ticket cost only 70 Pesos, which is about $4 ! The movie was good but I was a bit disappointed with what they did with some of the characters (Hulk & Thor). I know they wanted more comedy but I think they failed there.

Hey, while you're there, IMO if there's one thing really worth checking out in the area, its Teotihuacán's ancient temple of the sun (feathered serpent).  I've been to many ruins in Mexico but this ancient ruin city is quite special.  Its a 1.5 hr bus ride from the city.
Graham Hancock speaks about it here @126.25  https://youtu.be/T5DNvYMtkyk?t=5182

Hoan Kiem Lake near Turtle pagoda in Hanoi?

Edit: Could also be Ho Tay lake (west lake) in Hanoi. I say its Hanoi because IIRC you've worked/spent time in China and this would be an immediate holiday destination or work-cation.

Great work. Absolutely nailed it. It is Hoan Kiem Lake.  Super fast detective work Icygreen !

The turtle pagoda is visible in the background on the lake, over the shoulder of the girl in the white top, next to the girl in the red top

Hoan Kiem Lake is famous because a turtle god lives in it that gave the Vietnamese emperor a sword to fight off Chinese invaders

Nice one hairy and thanks for the merits!, I recognized the lamp post bottoms and the sandals from the first photo but never been to Hanoi.
Thanks, my detective cap is on today but to no real avail: short story:

My dog went missing early yesterday morning where I spend a lot of time in Vietnam and today was spent visiting all the restaurants that serve dog. I did not want to see that....  fucking monkey savages, really, I just wanted to.. Roll Eyes.  Anyhow, we didn't find him and my girl is heartbroken.  Back to Canada next week where at least my other dog gets to grow old and fat and fart her way to death.  Sorry for the rant, just having a sad moment.

What if that account is actually THE brand new account with a nickname (not his real name)?

The cynic in me says people know we’re generous Merit givers in this thread. Very convenient a Brand New account makes its first post here saying how they’ve just bought their first bitcoin & oh look, 21 Merit received.

Straight to the first signature campaign or bounty requring received Merit to earn money, never to post in the WO again.

Hmmmmm!

I'm giving benefit of the doubt that he's genuine.  Why not?
Welcome to bitcoin! Mind your emotions.

Damn...
129 users who were wearing a yobit signature and had at least 1 good report against them in the last 14 days are banned for 14 days. All yobit signatures are wiped. Signatures containing "yobit.net" are banned for 60 days.

Some people were talking about neg-trusting spammers for spamming. This is not appropriate; report the posts, and if that doesn't seem to be working well, come to Meta with specific examples and suggestions.

oh wow

I hope Searing didn't get caught up in that

Searing is a kind of goodie goodie two shoes.   Wink

I got slap'd on that. I guess Yobit is more of a hot button than I knew. To me a good exchange or bad exchange you don't leave $$$ or crypto on any...even

the good ones eventually have issues like cryptopia...but in hindsight....yobit...20 posts a day max and $1.43 a post legendary (I did not spam thus got a reprieve only

9 posts in the yobit area mostly trying to figure out how yobit works and why the hate)

Anyway, the only campaign that let me keep my HAT...(damn, thus blithely signed up because of that and mossey'd into the frying pan)

anyway, back to campaigns that only let me in if I get rid of my avatar and hat (alas!)...but yeah...I can see why thermos killed this campaign dead...

serious money/spam etc....but after fees I did on my 9 posts make $12.93 USD Smiley

So I guess I can't just assume a campaign is OK if it is on bitcointalk...found out they can be NOT OK and kicked out after the fact.....should  have

done my research and had the 20 posts a day ring a bell at least spam wise...whatever...know better now hopefully...

(anyway live an learn)

brad

I got the same reprieve, 14 day ban.  I wrote an explanation email and now unbanned.  Definitely didn't see that coming but learned a little and I can see the moral argument of it all.
Still don't understand exactly why there's such a hate-on for yobit and the drama that came. Maybe more clarification on which campaigns are allowed would be helpful as well.
Twas an $8 experience
@natilda, yep Sig was replaced.
774  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! Exchanges track how you spend btc! on: April 22, 2019, 07:12:24 AM
#1. Yes, Bitcoin needs better privacy.  We don't need another coin to do it for bitcoin because it'll be built on top. Schnorr signatures and mimble-wimble are attempting to solve some of this now and segwit is the base layer entrance to allow these to happen without a hard fork.  Good things take time to build, be patient.

#2. I respect what I think coinmama is trying to do.  I think that it wants to re-associate BTC with real people and not perpetuate that BTC is only for gamblers, crooks, drug dealers and degenerates.  I don't like that they want to play central authority to a permission-less tech.  Seems ridiculous. Censorship is not the way forward.

Oh FFS, I was kidding!

Apologies, brother. Did not read the sarcasm.

I am a bit troubled with the world today, owing to the unfortunate events in Sri Lanka.

Yeah, me too actually, I wish the muslims would just stop killing innocent people.
If they keep this up it will end very badly for them.

Wait, how are we so sure this is rightly directed towards the Muslim community?
Although I'm not part of a religion, I find it somewhat offensive to see people blindly pointing fingers.

I'd wager that Muslims didn't even have a hand in this.  What could be achieved by a small group of 'terrorists' hurting the public like this? Do they think they'd somehow gain power or control from it, No, not even a small chance!
Now ask the same question: What could be achieved by the 'government' or 'TPTB' sending fear into the public?
Very simple, fear=submission
Ii believe its all power and control tactics used by the state or a globalists agenda.
Seems way to coincidental the past few weeks of religious connected events. NZ, Notre-Dame, and now Sri Lanka.
Comon' Nobody slips on banannas.
But, but the news said it was the muzlums.

Dude I'm going to have to tell you about this group of terrorist, it's going to blow your mind and it's a lot more plausible.
They're called ISIS, they're a bunch of fucks and are eating war on anyone that's not like them.
BS, ISIS is a outfit trained and funded by USA and Israel. They are being used as the publics' bogeyman to garner justification for endless war. ISIS, Al-qaeda and the Taliban are all the same puppets.  Further, these factions were created to fight each other and destabilize areas/governments.
Hopefully you were just joking, is that leftists humour?

Any vapers here. Cheesy

Next week its one year since I vaped and 5 years since I smoked.  Vaping saved me from smoking 5 years ago until I got bronchitis in a bad way this time last year. Largely not being able to breathe for over a month scared me and I finished with it.  I was sub ohm .12 @ 70w.  I can tell you now that I don't miss for 1 second having to recharge batteries, make juice, refill attys,  clunky devices in my pocket, have backups, clean juice spills, cleaning and rebuild coils, listen to other people tell me how much worse it is than cigs, look for it because I put it down somewhere and cant find it, you get the idea.  Its like I was a slave and couldn't see it.   However vaping was much better for me than the tobacco and I may not have ever changed without it.

Personally I'm not waiting for a lower bottom.  It seems awfully cheap if we were to go under 3.2K, People willing and able to buy full btc's is not what the whale's want. There was a lot of fear in the lower 3k's, I think a lot of people missed the bottom.
If I were a whale....
780  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can yobit.net Signature Campaign Bring Bubbles? on: April 21, 2019, 12:35:02 AM
Well, I can vouch for the campaign being legit and they're paying every few hours to accounts. Not sure what bubble you're talking about. I'm participating (first campaign) as a learning experiment. I have no interest in trading for shitcoins and no idea of yobits history. What's best is there's no AML KYC attached to the bitcoin they issue.
So you are spamming wearing with yobit signature.  and what do you mean by learning experiment here on the forum or learning experiment to spam here on the forum?
Look your rank position is Sr. Member and you are not new here unless if you bought the account while you are newbie.

You don't have experience as mine as what I experience from yobit I have lots of altcoin that until now there's no way to withdraw and transfer to other wallet. It means all of them are stuck like Paccoin I have millions of this coin but I can't withdraw and I can't even receive a response from their support.

I'm sure yobit is trying to find more spammer to promote their exchange site again because we are in bull market so that more people will fall in their exchange site.

Why yobit just started again to promote their business again? Because they know bull market is coming...
Thanks for the thoughts,
Experiment meaning: I had never considered running a campaign and don't really need the money. I joined because it crossed my path at the right time and decided just to give something new a try and hopefully learn something new.
I'm not into spamming for profit. For now it's given me incentive to post better quality materials.
I'm unaware of the problems of withdrawing in yobit.  I'll check it out.
Thanks for bringing to my attention that this company has a poor track record.  As I get to learn more about this, that will certainly be a large consideration and I may even leave or change campaigns based on my morals.
For now I'm having my first campaign experience, thanks for educating.
