761  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Top Trading SCAM on: September 10, 2021, 09:39:47 AM
-snip
well, it is an obvious scam and I would definitely just ignore their unrealistic offers. but then again, it doesn't really hurt looking into it and finding more information. besides, looking into their team has led me into a website that is most likely made by the same scammer(which I think is a good thing).

We should ignore find the sites which ask us to invest with them in order to make money. Most of the times these sites are only made to collect people money and scam them.
Double money, high returns and attractive (unrealistic) offers are the signs that site will scam in the future.
762  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 10, 2021, 07:51:43 AM
I wonder if a reverse bart is forming.

Are we headed towards alt season ? Will Bitcoin Dominance decrease in coming days. Doesn't look so but this chart suggest Alt season is coming.

763  Economy / Service Discussion / Trading View or Coinigy : Which is better on: September 10, 2021, 07:08:10 AM
Many people use trading view (https://www.tradingview.com/) for charting while other also use Coinigy (https://www.coinigy.com/).
Which of these two are better in terms of usability, features and price.
The comparison will help traders to decide which one to buy for trading purpose ?
764  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the crypto hype over? on: September 10, 2021, 06:39:08 AM
I think but the hype of the cryptocurrency is not like ending so early. From the moment the Cryptocurrency starts, you can see that when a hype ends, a new hyte is created. Last few years ago, everyone was able to see that ICO hype was a lot. When ICO Hype was over, the new hype was created. Then IDO Hype was created. When we all saw the end of the IDO the currency moved towards the new hype NFT . So I believe Cryptocurrency Hype is not going to end so early because when a lost end comes to the market with a new hype. I believe Cryptocurrency will build a new hype again in the future before the Hype of the NFT is over.

The crypto hype will never be over until crypto become the mainstream currency and also everyone adapts crypto. These days we have NFT hype and also blockchain gaming hype is also growing. I hope that crypto does not depend upon hype's. Rather good and stable projects develop which may be adapted world wide.
765  Other / Off-topic / Re: VPN Service Providers and our data on: September 09, 2021, 02:52:55 PM
Example i have an important Excel file on desktop and/or passwords stored in my chrome browsers etc. They have access to these data ?
You have a correct answer already from JohnBitCo, they have access to your online activities. Some maintain good reputation like I said earlier while some do not hesitate to give governmental bodies the details of some criminals that make use of their services for certain criminal activities invested, I mean VPN. To maintain better online privacy, you can decide to go for Tor, but it could be slow in connection.

Another important thing is that people do not know exactly what to use (VPN , PROXY , TOR etc) and what is the difference between these. For a normal user who has no concern about privacy can use free VPN browser plugins to access the restricted site (Most people only want vpn to access restricted sites).
If you want to buy VPN then your requirement would be much higher as you would be needing a full privacy so no one can track your online presence and activities.
766  Economy / Goods / Re: How do I go about selling my house for cryptocurrency? on: September 09, 2021, 02:22:33 PM
Are there good websites that specialize in this where I can list it? I'm perfectly happy to receive crypto directly. I don't need to have it converted to fiat. I just wonder where potential buyers might visit and I suppose the buyer would want an escrow service as well.

I think you can't sell your house in crypto unless you are lucky enough to find a person in your city who is looking to buy house via crypto.
Houses are not cheap and no one will buy your house if he is not located in your city.

As mentioned above, best solution is that you sell in fiat and buy bitcoins or any other crypto from it.
767  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lunaland [scammed] huntters payment 1,500,000 LLN ($79,402.50 current price) on: September 09, 2021, 02:08:33 PM
Scam project of the year of 2021.

Already Reported

Unfortunately this is not the only one scam project. There are many other scam projects too which never pay to bounty hunters.

I am sure these scammers and Lunaland project owners wont find happiness in life as they will get curse from so many hunters.
768  Other / Off-topic / Re: VPN Service Providers and our data on: September 09, 2021, 08:39:52 AM
I want to know if there is any VPN Service Providers who do not get access to our data ?
I will advice you to use DPN also known as dVPN which is a decentralized VPN unlike many others that are centralized and keep user logs by design but implying no log kept. You can still also trust VPN like ExpressVPN that maintain good reputation up till today without exposing users logs, but the design of VPN make it possible for the VPN provider to keep users logs unlike DPN which are decentralized.

VPN service providers  claims they do not capture our logs but can they have direct access to our files on the system ?
They can have access to what we are doing online, but if DPN is actually decentralized, it will keep no log, but I am not totally sure if this claim is totally true.

Example i have an important Excel file on desktop and/or passwords stored in my chrome browsers etc. They have access to these data ?

When we say the VPN service collect the logs, it means that they keep track of the websites you visit etc. They have no access to the data stored on your harddisk. If this was the case,  then no one would have ever used a VPN service.
769  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you wear underwear? on: September 05, 2021, 11:59:09 AM
What kind of underwear can you advise me?

If your pants have Zip, then you should wear underwear else you can have an injury.

I always wear underwear with jeans and dress pants and i hope everyone should wear it.
770  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 05, 2021, 11:42:32 AM
India have lost their top three batsmen. Rohit Sharma, Rahul and Pujara. They scored 127, 46 and 61 runs respectively. Now Kohli and Jadeja are at the crease. There is now an opportunity for England's players to take some quick wickets. If they are able to take two more wickets today, then maybe tomorrow's match will be under their control.
I think this test match innings fully controlled by India because they already collected 270/3 but if Kohli And jadeja would collect an honorable score then it has highly possible to beat england.

No, India are not playing good today and have quickly lost two wickets. Its one of those matches, where one team seems to win and then suddenly it seems that the other team is winning. Virat Kohli and Pant now have a big responsibility on their hand else India can still lose this game from here.
771  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns / bounty for Newbies on: September 05, 2021, 11:22:20 AM

Can you send me exact link, i can't find any useful posted related to bounties for "Newbie" members  Huh

If you click on this link, it shows you that fella's (Kamalpasha) posting history is mainly about bounty tasks:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1461727;sa=showPosts

But don't follow the footsteps, it pretty much destroys your integrity on this forum. These people are just posting task completion templates and contributing almost zero here besides spam.

Yes, there are mostly two types on Newbies on the forum. One who are only looking to work in bounty and don't post anywhere else and the other one like OP who is looking to learn something or participating in discussions.
772  Economy / Goods / Re: Physical painting: Type portrait of Dorian Nakamoto . on: September 05, 2021, 10:36:37 AM
and  I'm not sure why we are on the forum interesting in this person?, he is nobody here, just the same name "nakamoto" after.

Its an NFT trend these days and people are buying these useless photo's for millions of dollars. Either people have a lot of money or they don't have the sense.
If OP had the digital version of this portrait, he would have sold it by now in the NFT Marketplace.
773  Other / Off-topic / Re: Traditional Banks Vs Ponzi Schemes. on: September 05, 2021, 10:20:48 AM
A ponzi / pyramid scheme has no actual product and is based purely on bringing in new people. The newcomers finance everything, there is nothing else bringing in cash. To make it legal, nowadays they have to have an 'alibi product' like energy contracts, but those usually bring in little to no money at all.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme

Instead, a bank makes cash by selling (financial) products and trading with money from the customers. That's why it's not a Ponzi.

Well, banks are legal and no one can declare them ponzi. Even though banks also collects a lot of money in terms of fees and fiat currency loses value due to inflation. People lose money indirectly but for sure its not a scam.
Ponzi schemes are short term duration and you never know the original owner running the ponzi scheme.
774  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you use deodorant? on: September 05, 2021, 10:06:15 AM
If yes, how safe is the deodorant? I realized sometimes ago that what we rub on our skin/body eventually get absorbed into the body, and I decided to be careful with the kind of things I rub on my body.   In my opinion, if it's not safe for consumption/eating don't rub it on your skin.
I think it would be better to use the natural alternatives, but where can we get those from? Do you know of any that's very effective and safe?

I use deodorant because i don't want anyone have a bad smell from me but i am not sure if its save. Once a child was playing with deodorant bottle and accidentally deodorant went in his nose. He got cough and got major illness. I think we should use it carefully and keep it out of range from children
775  Other / Off-topic / Re: what is your favorite altcoin? on: September 05, 2021, 09:29:31 AM
what is your favorite altcoin and why?  Cheesy

I don't have any favorite. My choice of altcoin is purely on the basis of Technical analysis. I buy an altcoin only to get profit from trading.
These days i am trading SOL and ICP. The only coin which i really love to accumulate is Bitcoin and the other one is Ethereum. Rest are just crap unless they bring a really big use case.
776  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Oscar Valdez vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 10th on: September 05, 2021, 09:11:48 AM
I heard the news that Oscar Valdez was tested as covid positive. Although they say that the fight will not be postponed but i wonder that only few days are left in the fight and i hope Oscar Valdez is healthy enough to be available for this match.

Oscar Valdez-Robson Conceicao fight to proceed despite positive test

Kindly read the article that you posted, there's no mentioned of covid-19.

What the articles says that they are going to proceed despite Oscar Valdez testing positive for a ban substance and not covid-19 related.

Next time be careful of posting articles that you haven't read at all.

And it's obvious that if you are covid-19 positive, you will not be allowed to fight.

His A sample came positive and then the B sample as well, meaning the ban substance is already in his system. We don't know if this is the first time he has taken it or not, but yeah this could leave a bad taste for fans and boxers as well. Perhaps his team failed to take into consideration the cycle that's why they are caught red handed by the governing bodies.

Correction i got it wrong and mis-understood that positive test is not related to covid.
So they are referring the drug test ?

Quote
The Oscar Valdez-Robson Conceicao fight will move forward as planned despite Valdez’s recent positive test for the stimulant Phentermine in a random test conducted by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association on Aug. 13, with the positive test result being returned on Monday, multiple sources told The Ring on Thursday.
777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 05, 2021, 07:10:34 AM
This has been the rule with coinsph ever since, and I’m not using that platform for this mind of activities anymore because there’s a high chance that your account will be freeze if ever. If I’m withdrawing my funds, I go directly on metamask or electrum because CEX are also strict with the gambling money, they also have a warning like this especially on Binance.

If you are living in Philippines then you can use coinsph to store your bitcoins but for gambling you can choose another wallet.
Just don't abandon the coinsph wallet fully just because they do not support the funds generating from the gambling site.

779  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: BRD Wallet Sync Issues on: September 04, 2021, 06:43:21 PM
I have opened my BRD wallet after few months and it is taking a lot of time in synchronization.
Have you tried its "FastSync" feature? I'm not one of its users, but it says it'll sync within few seconds:

  • On the main screen, tap Menu.
  • Under Preferences choose Bitcoin Settings.
  • Select Connection Mode and turn Fastsync on with the toggle.

Anyone can tell me how much time it will take to sync ?
Based on the above link, the SPV sync should take more than 30 minutes.

That solved the probelm. Smiley

Although when i checked fastsync was enabled already but i disabled it and then re-enabled it and it sync the wallet.
