What I will tell you at the beginning is that option 1 doesn't seem likely to me in any country where converting crypto -> fiat is considered a taxable event - so it doesn't matter if you sell BTC directly for fiat, or if you first convert it into some stablecoins and only then in fiat.
Correct, in the countries I've enquired pre-Bitcoin (and the answer comes very quickly!) and likely to be the same anywhere else. The sum of the idea of capital gains tax is that you make a profit (you sold for higher than you got it). So as soon as you realise that profit (by converting it to fiat), you've made profit and owe capital gains tax on it. If it were a loophole, it'd have been used for other assets already. P.S. Come on, just cough it up  P.P.S. Portugal and Belarus were the only two who didn't tax crypto (edit: for individuals) in 2023. Portugal is the obvious choice, you don't pay capital gains on crypto you sell. There are minor requirements. Why consider Montenegro? |

He's right, of course, this team is ultra offensive but last season, we didn't deserve it, so I wonder if a future format sees Champions League at the end of a regular season (I know it won't happen). Funny but many teams don't deserve to be here. Napoli one of them, so I'm glad they're out. That said, the QFs finally look like royalty. City-Real, Barca-PSG, so I hope they don't disappoint. Might as well start throwing in the cap this round. Not entirely over yet, but with Atalanta and Brugge making it through to the next round, Chi20 you now have a 2-0 lead against me. I always have to make the worst possible start... I was considering giving Freiburg a shot, but refrained from it. They didn't play bad, but it's one of the problems they recently had in the Bundesliga. They do possess the ball a lot - was the same today - but they don't know what to do with it in the opponent's half.
One of my cursed teams this season. Favourite player there (Doan) and he even took his form to World Cup but for some reason, he's losing form alongside the rest of his team mates. I don't watch their games but from what I can tell, he's still not afraid to take shots, but he's taking far fewer this season, and there's just a general ticking down across teammates. Frustrating. |

Yeah, not that I'm complaining but once Salah made it 3-0 on ten minutes, it was no longer a spectacle, would have switched off if I weren't a fan. So good to see Alisson on the bench as well, not that Kelleher will want to warm it up any time soon! Have to feel sorry for Nunez, taken off on the first leg on the verge of a hattrick, and then again when he clearly has more in him. Pretty crazy Salah and Szobo still staying on the field with 11-2 aggregate..!

Didn't watch tonight's game (Bournemouth vs Luton, really?) but seems like I missed out on a goalfest. Checking in now and it's 3-3 with 20 minutes still to play. Luton City must be feeling sick to the stomach, Tahith Chong (that guy) opened accounts and they led 3-0 at half time, but allowed Bournemouth back into the game.

I think this is just an outlier. You can't expect Leverkusen to dominate and play that well every game, especially in different circumstances such as a round of 16 in a European competition. I'm pretty sure any team would like to go through, so they will try their best to play their game, especially in front of their fanbase. Whether there is a home advantage or not, I believe a player would love a supportive atmosphere in the stadium. Shame. It's already been a decade of gegenpressing and wide attacks, high-line defence and long seeking balls. I love it, of course, even from my days of playing Winning Eleven, I'd 4-4-3 the heck out of teams and just press constantly. I suppose you could call me the visionary of digital football heh. I have watched a bit of Leverkusen and it's not displeasing football. Be nice to see Bundesliga adopt it if Alonso sticks to it -- and continues to win -- next season. Not bad Arsenal. Didn't win the way I wanted, but Arteta's turned this squad around. Not quite unbottlers yet, but first appearance in QF 14 years, not bad. Porto didn't do too badly, either. Pepe became the first player over 40 to play (I don't know if I recall correctly but I think Maldini vs Liverpool was 39 when we played our last pre-Klopp final!), and they took the tie to penalties (hasn't happened in 8 years, what?). If you want to group semis and the finals, that's actually easy to do. You'll have outright odds for the winner and that can be used - covers it all.
Then again, buway bu-oost extra sounds way more fun than picking outrights.

On the other hand, it could tempt many more to try for monster odds and further entrench the top guys in the safety zone. But yes, I overlooked the situation where odds aren't available for second legs and the final by the time we issue submissions. Just trying to minimise the work to do calculating scores without tweaking the template too much. This means 20 more total stakes to bet with?
I expected to have 50 left (10 per each QF and SF round and 1 for the final).
Not sure how we'd pick anything from return games before we know the results from the 1st games.
Yeah, I didn't foresee the problem of odds not being available at the start of matchday, my bad, but I'm still thinking 10 stakes per Matchday = 20 stakes left. I'll probably put in more creative, riskier markets other than 1x2. But like you say, will be difficult to pick anything from return games, or even from the final (as that's lumped with the Semifinals). Perhaps the final will just be an outright selection on MD10. Or I make up some odds for 2nd leg, final games, but add some "buway bu-oost extra" on top to make them attractive. OR... We introduce a Matchday 11 just for the final. Allow people the chance to save stakes from MD9 and MD10, to use them up on MD11. One final chance for people to snatch prizes, with all kinds of markets available to put 10 stakes on. That will probably be more complicated and make people upset (and make joker_josue work harder), so I'll have a think about it, you guys will just have to put up with the confusion, and forgive my oversight =D |

Napoli all the way! Barca will probably win this tie, they actually have a better track record away this season than at home, suppose not all teams find their own support comforting... *cough cough United. So therein lies my hope.
Odds are somewhat suggesting this will end as a FT draw, in which case I think the Italians have a better chance at holding their nerve in ET and smack the pens in.
Just to mention to everyone, I'm still not sure how the Final 2 matchdays will look like -- but I think I will put Pot B submissions slightly different, featuring 1x2 markets for the first leg games, and different markets for the 2nd leg+ final games.
Matchday 9 will be the QF.
Matchday 10 will be SF legs + Final.
This is mainly because odds won't be easily available for all 2nd leg and final games at the start of MDs.

Oh bloody ell Chelski. Just as I came in here to talk about clawing my way back up yo Top 15 with an exact score, you let Newcastle back in late. Garbage scoreline. I should have known better than a consolation goal with this version of Chelsea.
Terrible Monday elsewhere though with Sevilla snatching a draw from the jaws of victory and Lazio doing even better. So I suppose Chelsea are the best of the lot.
