7781  Economy / Economics / Re: Venezuela Wants to Launch a Central Bank for Cryptocurrencies on: August 31, 2018, 10:45:01 PM
After all, this is good news and I hope this will be able to boost the price of crypto and bitcoin to become expensive again, the actions of the Venezuelan government should be thumbs up, because we can provide regulations that cover transactions using crypto currencies.

I have mix emotions with this one. What's the use of a Central Bank for Crypto? Crypto is supposed to be decentralized, they should just put proper regulations and then everything will be a OK.

Venezuela government is somewhat a bonderline case, they have their own government back coins, which is shady to begin with because we don't know who invested on them (ehem... Russia) and it was pretty obvious that they created it to circumvent any trade restrictions coming from the West.

If they wanted to adopt bitcoin and other cryptos, for me regulations will be enough. Perhaps they wanted to have control of crypto's thats why they are thinking of launching a Central Bank which doesn't makes any sense at all.
7782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When do you know its time to Stop? on: August 31, 2018, 09:51:49 PM
I know its been repeated constantly but don't gamble what your not willing to lose.  Keep a portion of your funds for your gambling budget and use the rest for your necessities.  Some people like to spend their extra money on alcohol, concerts, clothes, but I prefer to use my extra money on gambling since I have a fun time doing it.  I allow myself a gambling budget and I don't go over that limit so I don't have trouble with not stopping.

I also had that kind of 'method' to at least not put myself in a difficult situations. I already gain experienced as a gambler so I always put forth everything on a budget. Of course gambling budget in not on top of my priority list, but if everything sums up and there's some extra money to burn then I allot a small portion for my weekly gambling habits. Range from .015BTC-.035BTC. So if I won then more gambling in the coming days but it I got burned, then wait for a week or two and see how the budget goes.
7783  Economy / Speculation / Re: My guess about mid-term bitcoin price on: August 31, 2018, 09:04:49 PM
Bitcoin is in the mid-term trend (bullish or bearish), which is approximately 7 days from now on H12 chart.

I don't see bitcoin moving on a sideways, that trend was broken ($6300-$6500) and now we are in a upward trend.

In my opinion, I think you should buy BTC if it is reached more than $7100 and be careful with $6500 because if price down to less than $6500, downtrend will return.

Definitely still a good buying point. Because this bullish trend might continue prior to the SEC decision on ETF.

I think We may be having a healthy consolidation as long as we remain above 6850.  We had a retracement from above $7k level which appears to have been stopped by the 6850 area support.  This could be the beginning of a healthy consolidation during which Alts see some bullishness!

Support is strong around $6800-$6900 that's why we didn't dip that much. But for me its not a consolidation, it appears that a break out might actually occur up to $7200-$7500.

7785  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: August 30, 2018, 10:05:37 PM
Another veteran retirement.

http://www.sportingnews.com/us/nba/news/david-west-retires-nba-news-pacers-warriors-spurs-pelicans-hornets-xavier/h7rilycrr0tm1s33l1iow511q]David West retires after 15 NBA seasons

One of the good backup player of the Golden State Warriors. These guy have an overall 4 teams he played on his whole career and got 2 rings in his final 2 season with the Golden State Warriors (2016–2018). Unlike other players who earned their rings without effort*, we all know that West contributes much in Warriors so I will say that he really deserved those rings.

With the retirement of West, I think only 6 or 7 players remained now to that famous 2003-04 draft that is actively playing until now. If Im not mistaken.

One hell of a defensive player and also one thing that will be remembered from him. That elbow perimeter shot which he does perfectly without even jumping an inch.
I think that was just a tip toe that he was doing.
Somehow he create those shots with not much effort amd still get double digits with points and rebounds.
He will be remembered indeed.

15 NBA Seasons, 2 rings with GSW, 2 time All Star, one of Hornets early NBA stars, yeah one hell of a ride for David West. He also contributed a lot during his stint in GSW so I'm sure that they lost one valuable player in their rotation.

I agree with the elbow shot, I think he can do it with either hands as well.

And I still remember that "Kiss" with Tristan last year. Lol. Smiley
7786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The SEC - Will they ever speak the same language on Bitcoin? on: August 30, 2018, 09:38:23 PM
Cryptocurrency has always been viewed as a negative factor in the global and centralized systems , it's very rare for any central level to view cryptocurrency as something useful or positive. So I wasn't really surprised with the SEC rejection, it wasn't unexpected. And basing on their statements, I do think they are quite far away from each other, however I do think, SEC will surely think twice about their decision.

Well they already admitted they have make a hasty decision rejecting all Bitcoin ETF's: https://thecoinshark.net/the-sec-admitted-being-too-hasty-when-rejecting-bitcoin-etfs/.

@squatz1- Yes, its inevitable but I think we won't see any approval this year.

If SEC give ETF validation, then Bitcoin will get more profit than ever before. Bitcoin's demand is always more in the market. I think after that it will be twice more. Then it will be very cool. Bitcoin is more secure and potential than before.

That's what everyone is hoping, a influx of cash coming end, but it is enough or sustainable though? Or it is possible to open up more manipulations because the custodians will be powerful enough to sway the market whichever direction they wanted?
7787  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do you think the market is down right now? on: August 30, 2018, 09:21:15 PM
If the market goes down, there is a clear decline in investors, maybe it's because of the frequent occurrence of negative news on bitcoin that raises doubts.

But we can't really eliminate those FUD's. Its part of a free market. What investors should do its validate every news that seen or heard and not just believed on them. That's why weak hands is out, and the strong survived, because those strong hands are smart and they know that staying in the market even in a bearish one, will give them a lot of potential profits in the end.

of course because many investors sell their bitcoin, maybe bitcoin has started to lose investors because many investors are frustrated with the bear market that lasts very long.

I personally think that not all investors are frustrated. In fact, most of them stayed because they adjusted and reacted to the market. They might not be holding, but probably doing some day trading keeping them inside the ecosystem.
7788  Economy / Speculation / Re: Again the same as August 22... +$ 300 in just 10 minutes on: August 29, 2018, 09:48:09 PM
I got a news just a couple of hours ago from CNBC this may be the reasons why the price is rising back again.

Read the article from here Bitcoin recovers above $7,000 as key South Korean exchange comes back online

According to the article, the Bithumb exchange will be coming online soon and all buy trade comes from Asia that is why the price keeps increasing these days. Since Bithumb in South Korea will reopen again it is a good sign that the price will touch again to $8k value.

Could be.

We all know that South Korean has a appetite for Bitcoin and Bithumb returning to action will make them renewed their interested on crypto as a whole. Encouraging to say the least, but we have to see the effects in the next couple of days. As per coinmarketcap, the price is still going strong and holding around the $7K.

So its going to be interesting if this news will push the price at least to $7200-$7400 mark, which is the next resistance levels. And looking https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/volume/24-hour/:

5. Bithumb Bithumb

#   Currency   Pair            Volume (24h)   Price   Volume (%)
1   Bitcoin   BTC/KRW   $245,378,290   $7,058.16   66.49%
7789  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1000 Fake User Registrations in Bounty Campaigns on: August 29, 2018, 09:17:24 PM
Well, it will still be nonsense if the manager makes it a requirement yet will not check and confirm one by one.
If so, that will be an indication that this manager doesn't deserve to handle any bounties and deserve a red tag as well if necessary for being incompetent.

Well this sort of cheating or impersonating an account has happened to me in my previous bounty campaign. Was checking the spreadsheet and suddenly boom, recognised a familiar name but closer inspection reveals that he does impersonate my account name as Jatting with a double t. Lol, smart move by luckily I caught that bastard.

I called the attention of the bounty manager and I'm glad that he is very quick to respond and immediately removed him from the list.
7790  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price& Volume Timeline on: August 29, 2018, 07:32:10 PM
There is a historical snapshot in CMC: https://coinmarketcap.com/historical/

You can easily browse as far back as 2013 and you easily extrapolate what price could bitcoin go in the future.

A great post indeed. I really appreciate your effort. I expect this type of post more because these are really very informative for research. People don’t need to search this info at all. Thanks much for sharing.

I suggest you do your research so that you will be more informed and don't wait for someone to post this kind of info in the forum. I also don't understand why you don't want to dig deeper or research, its one proven method in crypto, you need to do your homework and don't let someone spoonfeed you will all the information, just saying.
7791  Economy / Gambling / Re: Anyone ever make affiliates on mBit or Cloudbet? on: August 28, 2018, 08:47:50 PM
Exactly, its really hard to get referrals right now. With all the problems with casino's not paying, hard to convince a regular customer, much more of a big whales to join under you. You can post your referral link in as many online gambling forums, but I doubt that you will get one, unless you really know someone's who's into hardcore online gambling.
7792  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you track what happens in Crypto industry daily? on: August 28, 2018, 07:10:16 PM
I just go to https://faws.com/ for a quick rundown.

I simply login and browse around the forum and see how everything's. There is a dedicated Press Release section which is a good source of information and you can see all the comments and good discussions around.

Of course there's CMC for the an immediate price look up. Why I don't like to follow its because you don't know if their news is fake or just FUD. Much better if you do your own investigation and determined what news really contributed to the sudden pump (or dump) or particular coins you follow like Bitcoin.
7793  Economy / Gambling discussion / Casino Developer Landing Intl Sinks 45% on HK Exchange After Chairman Detained on: August 28, 2018, 06:46:24 PM

Landing International Development, a Hong Kong-listed casino builder, reported to the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Thursday that the company is unable to contact its 47-year-old chairman Yang Zhihui, who controls 50.48 percent of the company.

Interesting news that a landbased casino magnate went missing and then reported to be detained in Cambodia. Causing the company's stock to plummet after the news.

What a turn of events, just last month alone, he is making headlines because of the proposed plan to expound his business in the Philippines but it was shot down by the Rodrigo Administration, and we all know that the Philippine President has a hard line stance against gambling in his country.

7794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: August 26, 2018, 10:23:02 PM
Yes,I found success (win) in gambling many times but most of the times I lost, just understand the many and most so totally we are going to lose our money more than winning here,so if your intention is to make money then invest on something with less risk.
No i have not...what ever i thought that will be a winning strategy i always ended up on being loss after all....i dont think any one doing gambling has found a way for that...gambling can never be considered a way of earning money

Of course gambling should not be considered a way of earning money in the long run. Well, you can win, have a good run but eventually it will caught up and end up losing money.

There's no winning strategy specially for games  that is based on pure luck. If someone has the strategy then there's will be no house edge. I wouldn't say that I found success in gambling, but I enjoyed eventhough most of the time I'm negative.
7795  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is dangerous.... on: August 26, 2018, 09:47:23 PM
My point was the same, Its dangerous if you let it.
The good thing is i get to give the papers again so i just learned a free lesson, with no bad effect or anything. But now like i said, i learned the lesson, This was just to tell people who are going with same situation to not make it everything for you...

I really do hope that you learned your lessons here. You got carried away specially during crypto's peak last year

Now i'm going to give the papers again, So my future is perfectly safe (For those who said i destroyed my future for $200).
Let this post be here though, in my here all i need is $20000 for me to live my life easily without working or anything, So is it possible to turn these now $280 into $20000 ?

Ok so good luck then, hope you give the papers in time and pass with flying colors. You are still young, have a bright future. $280 - $20000 is very possible but thee will be a lot of challenges along the way and of course don't forgot about the risk factor.
7796  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BTC YOU SHOYLD BUY OR NOT? on: August 25, 2018, 05:05:50 PM
Well there are a lot of people in here telling that you should buy now bitcoin because it is very cheap and if the narket goes normal again you can gain a lot of profits which is true as well but there are some people that you should not buy it because the bitcoin will be replace dead some a long that line or you just hold your bitcoin so you can gain a lot of profits if you just hold it how about you? What do you prefer buy bitcoin, do not buy bitcoin or jusy hold it

Ok here's a thing. It depends on how you look at your investments. Short term or Long term?

As far as replacing bitcoin, I disagree, right now there are a lot of altcoins which is far more superior like Ethereum, but why it's it taking over Bitcoin?

Again, you need to identify first which strategy to wanted to go. If you wanted to do long then Bitcoin is a good investment in my opinion. There's no other coins that can match bitcoin in terms of returns if you are going to hold in long term.
7797  Economy / Economics / Re: ETF rejected on: August 25, 2018, 04:47:30 PM
As ETF is rejected there are no more drivers which might boost market.  SEC has rejected ETF without any compromises it is a very negative signal for everybody and, of course it means that while fonds will not invest in bitcoit and altcoins. Unfortunately such SEC's decision has compromised not only bitcoin but the entire crypto market. This decesion allows SEC to keep in check the crypto market. So, lots investors are disappointed of such a decision and I am sure that the crypto market is not so attractive for investing so potential investors will hold their money elsewhere but not in bitcoins. Likewise many disappointed investors I also have suspended my investing in crypto assets because I am exhausted of the downtrend in ethereum and lack of potential in bitcoin. Unfortunately I am sure that this situation will not be boosted in this year substantially. I think right now  it is a good time to pay attention on other assets like gold because namely gold is quite attractive assets in the current moment.

Bitcoin is going up after the obligatory "ETF rejected" dip. Many noobs got owned thinking it was going to drop to 4000 overnight. Not a short squeeze typically but over the past few hours slowly many short positions got owned as we are going near $7000.

ETF being rejected was already priced in by anyone with a functional brain so this is not much of a surprise. It is true tho that many potential investors are waiting for the ETF but anyone that's realistic knows it's not coming this year, we'll see in 2019. But once again, ETF doesn't make or break Bitcoin, it just pumps the price.

Let's get over with this whole ETF's claims. I agree it will not make a significant dent on the price because it has no effect long term. It will just make a small bump and that's it, market is bad as normal.

Speculators are showing witted intelligence, and I'm sure that they are not disappointed by this rejection. As for me, I'm not really paying attention that much about ETF's anymore. Will make my positions whichever the market will offer me.

7798  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin uses too much energy? on: August 25, 2018, 04:08:09 PM
https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/7xmvbq/bitcoin-energy-science-world-electricity-demand

Now Motherboard is not the best source for news, but let's consider the implications of this...

Consuming immense amounts of energy is actually somewhat counterproductive if we consider the vision of Bitcoin giving us tools for independence. And it's somewhat unethical because we should not be using more than we need on this earth.

However, we don't really know how much energy it is consuming at this stage, so this could just be another reporter trying to find a story.

Kindly read the article below:

https://phys.org/news/2018-08-energy-bitcoin.html

Quote
Indeed, this is a lot, but not exorbitant. Banking consumes an estimated 100 terrawatts of power annually. If bitcoin technology were to mature by more than 100 times its current market size, it would still equal only 2 percent of all energy consumption.

Author of the article is Katrina Kelly-Pitou: https://www.linkedin.com/in/katrina-m-kelly-pitou-a8565826/

So it looks like she debunked the myth that Bitcoin consumes so much energy and its somewhat counter productive.

So what the next argument for bitcoin? Greenpeace coming over and claiming Bitcoin is slowly killing the Whales  Grin
7799  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Holding Strong on: August 25, 2018, 03:52:27 PM
The bleeding market has now started to recover a bit and of course it is a good sign. This gives a hope that the price will rise soon and we will be able to make out good amount of capital gains. Now that there is some hope, we can think of buying some coins so for good times in future. BTC holding was, is and will remain the strongest of all the crypto currencies in the market.

Yeah and it seems to be becoming more and more resilient nowadays with the value being steady at around 6.5k. Good sign really if you ask me. I expected us to go a little closer to 6k or 5.9k with the etf rejection but it seems bitcoin doesn't really need that lol

Yes, it really means that the price around the $6300-$6500 has a strong support from traders. Its a good indication that we might have seen the last bottom for this year, although anything can still happens..

However, as much as the support is strong at that levels, resistance to $7000 is stronger as well. That's why we are just trading sideways, with no demand coming in. So I speculate that investors are just waiting in the wing for now because there's no movement whatsoever.

Nah, I'm not sold with ETF's, SEC will just throw it on the garbage because this market is not be prone to market manipulation.
7800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GGG vs Canelo II on: August 25, 2018, 03:35:36 PM
@Juggy777, boxing now is treated like business. They need a lot of drama to sell the fights. Gone are the days were there are less spectacle but more actions in the ring. However, I feel that both of this two fighters really hates each other, specially after Canelo make a lot of excuses when he has caught and labelled as dirty fighter by GGG. I would love to see Canelo lying on the floor as well, so that GGG can finally shut his mouth. There will be no adjustments, they will go at each other just like the first fight and hope that this time it won't go to the judges' scorecard.
Expect another drama in this fight. There are no more good opponents for these two fighters but themselves. I'll wait and watch
for GGG vs Canelo III.  Smiley

I think there's some worthy opponents at Middleweight, as far as I can remember GGG is mandated to fight Derevyanchenko, after the original 2nd fight was cancelled due to Canelo, caught with banned substances.however, he chooses to go with Vanes because its makes more sense financially.

So we couldn't blame them and now that the rematch was fight, the rest of the guys in the Middleweight should wait for their turn to fight either one of them, specially GGG.
