8781  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Time to buy again? on: September 19, 2017, 02:19:02 PM
http://coinmarketcap.com/

Seems altcoin drop has slowed down and many of them are recovering. It seems downfall is over for now, but since they are slowly rising, I guess it's time to buy now before they recover too much?

Incidentally, the incident has stopped, however, things have not completely recovered yet, and I am suffering a heavy influence from ETC, maybe I should keep it for a long time.

I think with the continued price fluctuation on Altcoins, I consider it the best buying point. Why? We all love to buy low, and since almost all of them are still in read, while those who are recovering are very slow, I consider this a good buying option for us. However, the price is really hard to predict, that's why we have to take advantage of it, because we may never know that tomorrow the price will just spike so the likely opportunity to profit is already missed. So personally, I would love to buy in this dip.

With all the negative news going around about bitcoin coursing a lot of panic and anxiety....do you this its time to look else where for a guarantee investment?
i mean may be eth doge etc....

LOL. There are n guarantee investments, Of course you have to diversify your portfolio, but in the crypto world, bitcoin is the best investment I believed. Although their is such thing "guarantee investment", but bitcoin has a lot to offer and you gonna love the volatility in itself. Its been 5 days or so since you wrote this thread, so if you just hodl and stay with bitcoin, it has recovered already and last time I checked the price is going to $4000.  I advise you to diversify your portfolio, but don't left bitcoin because its the best crypto investment you can have specially if you are in it for the long haul.
8783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: September 17, 2017, 06:00:33 AM
Bitcoin will recover, once it goes down to a specific points it will become very desirable to buy, because people know the potential it has in going beyond $5,000.]

Not only that, the average Joe knows about Bitcoin, but never heard of Bitcoin Cash. The fact that it has Bitcoin in its name will confuse them.

that is right. I think the bottom of this downturn is around $2800. After that, the price will rise to $6000 or higher. The Bitcoin Cash will be $5000 or higher.

I don't know about Bitcoin Cash ever being that close to Bitcoin in terms of price. Like I said earlier, it's only going to confuse the average Joe. Everybody that knows about Bitcoin Cash knows about Bitcoin, but only a tiny percent of the population that has heard of  Bitcoin knows what Bitcoin Cash is, and if they hear about it they will be like, "Wtf is this now? Fork, what???" No time for that, they'll just default to buying Bitcoin.

Bitcoin Cash has been with us since Aug only so still in its infancy. However, I doubt if they can gain traction around the crypto enthusiast. Specially that we know that's its a total clone of the original Bitcoin. It is consider as an alt so its better to compete with Etherium or LTC and not be compare to the original.

As the title says that bitcoin is dead, I don't think so, its already recovered from all the bloodshed this past couple of weeks so the OP is wrong in his assumption.
8784  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Guess What? JPMorgan on: September 16, 2017, 07:36:24 AM
Ha! Unbelievable. Talk about fraud...

It's funny because we're all thinking the same thing: Jamie Dimon is shady as hell and was making sure that Chase could get in cheap! But at the same time, we all know that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies aren't securities. They don't pass the Howey Test. They have no "issuer." Insider trading applies to a public company's stock or other securities (like bonds or stock options).

So there was no crime here, even though we all know that's effectively what happened. He knew what kind of effect his words could have. And very few people knew what he was going to say that day.

Exactly, as much as it is a fraudulent in nature, there is no crime. I guess he really took advantage of his influence to stir the market and when the buying point is good and all conditions meet, they started to buy massive volumes of bitcoin. Its total manipulation and deceitful on his part. Yeah, I agree it smart move for a personality who possesses so much leverage to the market.
8785  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: September 16, 2017, 07:18:45 AM
I read a lot of posts on the forum and in chats from beginners who panicked and sold their coins. They were losing money, but they were still selling. I do not understand why they did this.
Crypto currency must be trusted and bitcoin should not be sold for several years. You need to be prepared for the fact that there will be many more falls

Noobs always get burnt & end up losing loads of money because they don't have the balls to ride the wave.
I guess they can put it down to character building & maybe pick themselves up & go again

And just like all of you guys are telling, weak hands have been shaken. So once more, a painful lessons for newbies who panic during the crash and instead of hodling and buy, they panic choosing to get out with losses. And now that the price have recovered, newbies are nowhere to be found because you advise them but they didn't listen and now regretting this decision to sold.
8786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Once again,BTC is back on: September 16, 2017, 06:27:43 AM
I thought the crash happened, but now it seems more like one of those long bumpy spots and will eventually rise back up to over $5,000.

The is still going strong after we see the price going to $2900. Now the price is going $3900 already. Yes, this few bumps along the way needs to overcome before finally stopping at $5000 again. However, we still need to see what's going on the next couple of days. China is still not done with their dumping I assume, so expect the unexpected, maybe the price is sustainable or not, so just be cautious and not to get too excited.
8787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2016/17 NBA Season on: September 16, 2017, 06:03:49 AM
2016/17 nba season for me the power house golden states warrios.with adition of kevin durant i think no one team beat the gsw.i think next season gsw is the power house team
Well cavs might have a chance now after the addition of several names which will favored lebron to take the charge but I guess still the big time powerhouse gsw will dominate the west and the chemistry that put them together would make some difficulty again against the cavs who's trying to build another super team.
In overall still the warriors are the heavy favorites because they are proven to be a good team, even before when the Cavaliers got the championship they are still not favored to win the championship. Cavaliers has too many players to step up now so I think they have a best value for bettors like us, I would love to bet on the cavaliers in the NBA Finals as I am sure they will easily dominate the east.

Yes, the would still the favorite this coming season not only as defending champion but the line up are still pretty solid. And each player understand its role, like Curry, stepping out and giving Kevin Durant his time to shine in the NBA finals resulting to a finals NBA trophy and the championship. They have set the bar high, every other team needs to catch up with them.
8788  Economy / Marketplace / Re: What happened ? on: September 16, 2017, 05:43:46 AM
This is the characteristic of bitcoin. sometimes it goes up and sometimes goes down, however be patient my dear friend , sooner it will recover . Its all about supply vs. demand , At this moment, there's abundance in supply compared to demand makes its value to go drop. but remember the popularity rate of bitcoins are soaring high ,It means there's a big chance to get back to the top.

I think we can all relaxed now as bitcoin as already recovered almost touch $3900. It kinda amazing just 24 hours ago a lot of doomsayers saying that bitcoin will fall to $2000. But lo and behold, for whatever reasons, investors suddenly pour cash again after seeing the price floor at $2900. I think this is the buying point that most of them are looking for, bitcoin flooring below $3000. Then the rest is history. Let's wait if this is sustainable and see if it goes to $4000 again.

8791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BOXING MIDDLEWEIGHT TITLE FIGHT - Canelo vs. GGG Discussion on: September 14, 2017, 04:07:54 PM
I'm excited and can't wait to see this fight. Either one of them has the power to KO each other with a single punch. Both are very dangerous as well. And just like most of us here, the fight is hard to predict. My mind says GGG, but my heart ponders Alvarez. And I think the boxing community and experts are divided as well. This really maybe the Fight of the Year candidate if both of them really punch himself out up to the last bell. Or probably we will not see this fight go on full 12 rounds.
8792  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Go to Land Based Casinos? on: September 14, 2017, 12:50:46 AM
I do not often visit such institutions because I prefer to play anonymously over the Internet. In real life, I sometimes feel uncomfortable because of the fact that there is someone nearby during the game.
thats true mostly those land baes casino having trouble with our money instead we get instatnly the money we won after playing it in the long run we can't some of gambling you need to wait at least 3 weeks before you get all the money yes you enjoyed the game but how about those taxes tips that you will give unlike in bitcoin  once you won no one will know except your friends in gambling.

I haven't heard any landbased casino that will make you wait 3 weeks before giving you your winnings. And I doubt any land based casino does have a regulation like that. You can go to the cashier for instant cash out and even if you win big they will give you the amount right away. You are not also obliged to give tips, actually most casino' has a restriction for accepting tips, but some do allowed their dealer to received tips. And there is no taxes in you winnings in a casino as well. Its the casino itself that gave taxes to the government, not you.
8793  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: September 13, 2017, 07:49:37 PM
That post was written when BTC was down by more than 60% from USD 1180,-. Right now we're down by maybe 25%.
In the bear market as a whole, the value dropped from $1180 to below $200.  $1180 to $200 is a reduction of roughly 83%, so you would be losing more than four fifths of your coins' value if you held throughout that period.  In some BTC bear markets it's been even worse.

The trick is putting your coins (the ones that you're not using regularly) in cold storage somewhere that it would take a while to access them, so it takes a lot of thought to dump them and it's not subject to short-term emotions from price movements.

If you have enough savings that you can still live comfortably if you lose all the coins, HODLing shouldn't be too difficult.

I'm just going to hold and ride it out. That drop to $200 was a few years ago and I think Bitcoin has a bunch of new investors since then. Hopefully they won't all panic sell to make the price drop 83%. I guess less than a 50% drop from peak price.

If it drops below $3000 I might regret that I didn't sell but the hard thing is that we didn't know if the price would go to $7000 before a correction even though we knew a drop would eventually come. It's too hard to predict sometimes but I see the drop as a chance to buy more Bitcoins if it does go below $3000.

True. But holding is the logical choice because like everyone else's here, we are still positive that bitcoin can recover from all of this shenanigans created by those who want's to manipulate the price. We may regret not selling when the price is $4700 but who knows, after everything is straighten out we might see the light at the end of the tunnel. So I will hold and buy from this dip, simple as that.
8794  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins actual price is $2700 on: September 13, 2017, 07:14:52 PM
True. It is a good time to take advantage of Bitcoins low price. It might not ever get this low again. I think those who really believe will buy now in the masses. I doubt the price will drop too much. I had a good feeling things just getting ready to heat up and become very serious. It is annoying that the price went down but let us make the best of a bad situation.

Agree. We should look at the other side of the spectrum instead of moaning and complaining about the current price. Its still going red so its really good time to buy today because its cheap. The price is holding around $3800-$3900 and I think this will be the based price consolidating before we may see another bull run that will put the price to $5000 once again. I already done my share by buying today. Smiley
8795  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why are signature campaign scarce? on: September 13, 2017, 06:23:23 PM
I have observed that signature campaign are not forthcoming as users make applications and re-applications. Few campaigns  reward very minimal. Is it anything about China's ban?
What's your view?

You can check the alt market and you will see a lot of bounties. If you are talking about bitcoin paying signature campaign  there's a lot but you have to wait till a campaign manager open a campaign. But don't expect like everyday there will be a campaign. Sometimes like every week there will be 2 or 3 simultaneous campaign being opened. I guess patience is also needed in order to join a campaign.

Atp Ranking:

1. Nadal       9465
2. Federer    7505  +1
3. Murray     6790  -1
4. A.Zverev  4470  +2 Best Ranking
5. Cilic          4150  +2 Best Ranking
6. Djokovic   4125  -1
7. Thiem       4030  +1
8. Wawrinka 3690   -4
9. Dimitrov   3575
10. Carreno-Busta 2855 +9 Best Ranking

Singles Race:

1. Nadal             9365
2. Federer           7505
3. A. Zverev       4220
4. Thiem             3715
5. Wawrinka       3150
6. Dimitrov         3105
7. Cilic                 2995
8. Carreno Busta 2595
9. Djokovic          2585
10. Querrey         2435
11. Anderson       2335
12. Murray           2290

Nadal will almost certainly end the season at first place while Federer at second place.
A. Zverev should complete the podium.
Murray and Djokovic will almost surely leave the top ten!

Yeah, that's quite predictable since both Đoković and Murray announced that they are missing rest of 2016.
My prediction is Nadal will stay at the top till 2019 Smiley I am pretty sure nobody else other than Djoker / Roger can overtake Nadal for the next 15 months because all others lacks consistency and Murray cant win multiple GS per year .
2017 is a disaster for Murray. he not even reaches finals in any grand slam I think. Number one player suddenly collapsed and bottom player Nadal came back with his power pack performance and settled in 1st place. Next year for Nadal the strong competitor is only Federer because he only near to his points. Zverev in 3rd place but his points are very less, and he can't reach Nadal. So next full year Nadal is the king of Tennis game.

On the contrary, I did if ever both Murray and Djokovic returns next year. Either one of them will try to reclaim the no. 1 spot. Both of them experienced disastrous year that the only thing their mind is thinking now, is how to get back and play tennis again and become no. 1. So its gonna be exciting tennis year long for next year and I'm expecting better tennis from Murray and Djokovic if they are healthy.

The chances are very less because Federer is in good form and Nadal also. if these two players maintain there form means, it will be tough for Djokovic and Murray to come back, but they can try. Who knows next year again these two players come to good form means it will be a big fight for the first position. Tough task lets see how they will take this defeat and come back next year. I want to see Djokovic in top 4 may be this is possible.

Both Federer and Nadal is already veteran and one downside I'm seeing is that the age factor. Although they are really taking care of themselves but we can't take away the possibility of a injury. But if both of them are still healthy and going strong and Andy Murray and Djokovic come back next year even stronger then there will be a big fight at the top.
8797  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit the $30.000 mark before 2020 on: September 13, 2017, 03:38:37 PM
Just spoke with several financial experts with backgrounds in the banking sector. They told me once Japan opens itself up to the Bitcoin the currency is very likely to reach the 30.000 USD mark before 2020 since
Japan has been known to be a trendsetter and have high influence on the EU and US markets.

It's very possible for me reach that price in 2020. Its still 3 years from now and a lot could happen in the market. Remember, Japan has already open its door to bitcoin this year and we already see what it can do to the price. We really have to love Japan for doing it and yes they are very trend setter because they have a economic sphere of influence in the West. I guess we just have to wait and see then. Although the price doesn't look nice as of the moment, I'm still optimistic that in the future it could reach levels we wouldn't imagine possible.
8798  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do I hold? on: September 13, 2017, 03:28:52 PM
I have recently took investing on poloniex serious. Ever since I've invested the alt coins have been down. Do the amount of coins I posses go up if I stay. Also, do I have to wait for the coins to go back to their original price that I bought fo in order to make a profit? What are the reasons to holding if prices are down? Thank-you.

If I have an extra budget for my family needs.I will hold my bitcoin because bitcoin price is going higher. And bitcoin now is very nice to invest so that ai can earn bitcoin and save more. After longtime that bitcoin is very expensive.I will sell it so that I can profit big amount of cash to start a bussiness to have a stable income for my kids future.

i think yes that will be a right decision,  because most of the investors are expecting about bitcoin that its price will continue increasing and will surely will reach to 8000$. therefore to me i think we should hold our bitcoin try to manage our needs from some other sources, because i think that we should not lose the present opportunity and should try to invest more money in bitcoin.
I think their target is $ 10000, this will be a long-term trade. it would be great to buy it now and hold it until 2020.
For me due to continues fall down of bitcoin price, I think it's better to sell it before it's too late. Because I'm just thinking that bitcoin value was continuously declining this month. But if you want to hold it for a long time due to trust in bitcoin it's up to the owner.
I don't think this will continue, there is a big news that China will ban exchanges and ICO and we feel that but it's just slight because the price is still at the $4,000 and I think it will start to rise again. Good time to buy now if you are looking for short term profit as eventually price will rise and will happen soon, for me I am in a long term hold in bitcoin but I love to do short term in alts.

this is make many people panic selling and the price is down too deep than yesterday. and if this conditions is like this for a week, maybe we can see a big crash because of banning impact but i hope it will not crash into deep. the point is we can buy bitcoin in lower price than yesterday and we can hold it for a while.
I do love to see on dip prices so that i can able to buy on cheaper price. If theres panic sell then expect theres blood on the streets and this is the golden opportunity to make profits later on and it seems we do have a strong support on 3700-3800 level which price tends to go up again as of now.I still hesitate to buy though because i do believe price will still dip down even more.

If I were you, I wouldn't advise to wait til it further dip, experience says that this is not a good strategy. I think you are already here when we see the price dip to $1900 a few days before the Aug 1 split and people still didn't buy because they are waiting for the price to dip at $1500 but all of a sudden the price goes to $2900 in just 24 hours. So there's a lot of opportunity to profit being missed during that time. So if you have the funds to buy today, then you should go and buy a portion so if the price dip even more tomorrow then buy more. But if the price goes up tomorrow, at least you have bought and just hodl on it for the long haul.
8799  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will it fall? on: September 12, 2017, 09:01:16 PM
What's the reason for a fall. Right now I don't find any strong reason for a price drop. Maybe due to the China's ban a price fall might happen and the same will start to retain in a short time period. Fluctuations were common with the entire cryptocurrency, we the users were responsible to make it in a beneficial manner.

Quite surprise to find the price fall again after gaining some ground earlier. We are trading around $4200-$4300 and now the price fall to $41xxx. I think it still have something to do with the Chinese shutting down the local exchanges. Although no official statement from the government, there are news already floating around that in 3 months time they are going to shutdown everyone, maybe another round of panic occurs pulling back the price again.
8800  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What did you buy for money won? on: September 12, 2017, 08:34:30 PM
After I won 0.17 BTC in a poker tournament this summer, which was the biggest win my life btw, I spent half of it on taking my wife to different nice restaurants. It was a great time. I have never won nothing even close to that amount, neither before nor after, because in a tournament like that there's a huge buy-in and I don't do that, I don't play with money I can't afford to lose. The ticket was given me for free, that's why I had that opportunity.

It's nice to see our fellow gamblers can buy something in real life using the winning money, i hope i can do that someday. Because i never can buy that in real life, i always greedy when it comes into gambling even when i win, i will gamble more to get more winnings.

I won a lot on a landbased casino playing different games. I'll just buy clothes for me and treat my family for a dinner and paid all of my monthly bills like water, electricity and internet. It was really a great time. However, I was able to replicate that big win of mine. But instead lost of my winnings. But its fun though, at least I have experience to won big in a casino. If I going to convert it at today's rate. its close to 1 BTC. Which is big in our country already.
