781  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 04, 2021, 05:06:26 PM
~
If India can collect more than 400 runs then they can win the match. Today is the third day of the game. There are still 2 days left. I hope we will see the result of this match. I don't see the possibility of a draw. If India can collect more than 400, they have a chance to win. Otherwise, they will be defeated.
I was actually surprised to see the scoreboard of 236 for 1 and now India lost a couple of quick wickets as Rohit Sharma and Cheteshwar Pujara are back in the pavilion and it is the turn of Virat Kohli to perform and i am yet again surprised to see Ravindra Jadeja to come out to bat before Ajinkya Rahane. India need another big partnership to be back in the game as India is leading by just 139 runs and they need to add around 200 runs to be on the safe side.

India got the start they could dream of in their 2nd innings but now they should not release the advantage by throwing away the wickets. They are in a very good position but still the remaining batsmen need to preform and score many runs if they want to to make sure to win this test match.
Currently, its anyone's game and we cannot be sure of the winner at this moment.
782  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Best Bitcoin Wallet for Android Phone on: September 04, 2021, 03:53:20 PM
I only need non-custodial wallets which are decentralized.
First of all note that being non-custodial isn't enough. If you want your fund to be secure, you should use a open-source wallet.
For example, both trustwallet and exodus are are non-custosial (which means they give you full access to your keys). But they are not secure. Because we don't know whether the keys have stored on their server or not.

As suggested by Kavelj22 in the above post too, I recommend you to use electrum.

Warning:
Download electrum only from its official website.

With trust wallet you have option to store other alts and they have a lot of feature like built in exchanges, dApps etc.

Also i am confused between BRD and Electrum. Is BRD open source too ?

You initially asked for a bitcoin wallet, that's the reason everyone including me is recommending you to use Electrum wallet. If you have altcoins too, you can use different wallet for altcoins like trust wallet or coinomi but still keep your bitcoin stored in electrum.
783  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is NFT a Future of Crypto? on: September 04, 2021, 10:22:55 AM
As we all know that, Non Fungible Token (NFT) is very hot topic these days. But, I want to know what's the future of NFT and is it the good investment for future?

Non Fungible Token is not the future of crypto, its just a feature on crypto where you can buy / sell your digital goods. Currently there is a lot of hype of NFT but after some time the hype won't remain but NFTs will never go away, just like blockchain games will never disappear.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: SOL is already $144, can still buy it? on: September 04, 2021, 10:05:48 AM
People must be cautious of the price they buy an already pumped asset. I bought few Sol and will likely sell off at $180 and $200 respectively. It's pumping because of NFT and DEFi, people love fast and cheap Blockchain.

Do you remember when BNB starting pumping earlier this year and i went more than 10x. I think SOL is following the same path and it may reach beyond 200$ if bitcoin does not dump. I think we should buy some SOL and hold for insane profits. Also SOL is not a shit project so we will not lose our investments.
785  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns / bounty for Newbies on: September 04, 2021, 09:54:32 AM
Alright.

To answer your question about the signature campaigns, they are generally open to Members and above. But you'll be competing with other candidates which might have a better posting history, because every campaign manager will screen through each application.

New campaigns have many slots, while existing ones might see 0 - 3 vacant slots after each week.

Since you have 1 Merit, you'll be promoted to Jr. Member after your Activity count reaches 30 (now it's at 14). So you have to participate more in discussions and gain another 9 more Merits before you reach Member rank.

Meanwhile Bounties are open to almost everyone as long as they have some social media account, and the activities involve promoting on an external platform (not necessarily this forum). You can check the Bounty (altcoins) subforum @ https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=238.0

So after getting 9 more merits, i will be prompted to Member rank ?
I heard that 10 Merits will make me Jr Member, not member provided activity is completed.

You should follow this table and understand how many merits are needed for which rank.

786  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Afghanistan replace afghan currency with Bitcoin? on: September 04, 2021, 09:07:27 AM
Bitcoin may gain legitimacy in the country to recover from the economic crisis after the country was occupied by the Taliban. Moreover, the economic source of the Taliban must come from another border country. So for their economic prosperity, the government of the country is more focused on legalizing bitcoin. You can know all the details through the video link below. I hope you will watch the full video and you will find the video source at the link below.

https://www.indiatoday.in/newsmo/video/afghanistan-replacing-afghan-currency-with-cryptocurrency-bitcoins-1846934-2021-08-30?jwsource=cl

I think that Afghanistan does not have the infrastructure yet where they can do this type of experiment and start using bitcoin instead of their local afghan currency. If they still want to try it, then they can use both their local currency and bitcoin together. Abandoning the native currency all at once will never help this transition and people will simple reject it.

Not everyone knows abut everything. I am annoyed and disappointed by some of the members who replied here saying this topic does not belong in bitcointalk or its is encouraging spam.
The topic has been moved to off-topic and thanks for those who have given the answers. Locking this thread now.
788  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Signature Campaigns / bounty for Newbies on: September 03, 2021, 05:37:33 PM
I was looking at the Signature Campaigns and bounty for Newbies but couldn't find much option.

What are the options for the newbies here on the forum ?

Newbies cannot wear the signature, hence you cannot join any signature campaign. You can work in social media bounty which includes twitter, telegram, facebook, article writing and youtube video creation.
In order to join signature campaigns, you need to be a Jr Member.
789  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin ever go down like 2018-2020 on: September 03, 2021, 05:25:10 PM
so yea like will ever just stabilize really low like in 2018 and 2020? or are we at the low?

We haven't seen the current bull run like that of 2017 when price of bitcoin skyrockets to 20,000$. If we see the same parabolic run where bitcoin prices go as high as 200,000 to 300,000$, then we will see a similar bear run. On the other hand, if it does not happen, bitcoin may not dump as hard as in 2018.

791  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 03, 2021, 02:33:56 PM
This is the most bullish news for bitcoin. Many new people will invest in bitcoin and come to know about bitcoin through twitter.

792  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: ACTIVE YOUTUBE ACCOUNT (MONETIZED) on: September 01, 2021, 04:27:09 PM
Maybe someone who works with Youtube can correct me, but I think it's not good idea to post Youtube account that you're selling in public. Sales of Youtube accounts goes against their ToS and you're risking to lose monetization.

I also thought this in the first place that if anyone reports this channel and this post as a proof, i think the channel can be demonetized but then there is no proof that this channel belong to the OP.  We need to proof that the OP is the real owner of the channel who posted a selling monetized account.
793  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Sovryn - Brings DeFi to Bitcoin on: August 31, 2021, 10:35:12 AM
Well, I think it's nice that team is working. But unfortunatelly SOV price is to low. Earlier I thought that 30$ per SOV was to low price. But now I wonder how long we should wait to see such price again.

The all time high for Sovryn was $37 three months before but now the price is near 10$. I  don't understand the reason for this big fall.
The only think i can say is that Sovryn needs to be on more exchanges to have more volume. Currently it is only trading at uniswap.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online sexy casinos on: August 30, 2021, 04:23:45 PM
I think casinos being "sexy"/having sexy men and women is just a form of marketing to attract players to come and play. Are there any online casino that are doing it? It's more on a traditional casino am I right? I wouldn't bother to go there and play. I prefer casinos which I can just relax and play without distractions like that.
I think so too, they're really just there for the attraction, like an eye candy. But there might be some exception to this though as there's a possibility that they're an escort service that's hovering there to get a client, I mean they're pretty much legal in some places. Although it's a bit different with online casinos as there's no physical contact and the players might be at the other end of the world so probably just an attraction.

First decide where you need to go, to the gambling casino or to the escort service and please do not mix the both. If you go for both at the same time, your mid will more focus on escort service and you may not be able to focus on gambling properly. Think of your mood first, and then go to your desired place.
795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 29, 2021, 11:50:51 AM
India certainly need some changes in their batting order and inclusion of Ashwin in the playing 11 is also needed. I feel Jadeja must be sent to bat ahead of risabh pant. Most of the cases we see jadeja running out of partners his batting has improved a lot and i feel he can be given more responsibility with the bat now.
The complete batting order was a failure in the first innings. In the second innings except K L Rahul, Rishab Pant and Rahane most of them scored. Rahul won't be replaced and I think either Pant or Rahane might be dropped. It is a possibility that no changes are made to the batting order.

Sometime things go against you and the team is unable to recover. Making only 78 in the first innings, it was always hard for any team to save the match and that's what happen with India. I think India will come back strongly in the next match and no one should expect that they will continue their bad form.
796  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's gonna buy Tesla using Bitcoin? on: August 29, 2021, 11:38:50 AM
I'm not going to buy a Tesla. But yes, I'll wait for 100K and buy myself something more interesting. Like a Lambo or a Bugatti.

I think no one can buy Tesla, its too expensive. Yeah you can buy tesla shares but ever since Elon Musk manipulated the market both for bitcoin and dogecoin, i have no interest in his products.
797  Economy / Gambling / Re: Fiat/Crypto Gambling Sites With Big Bonuses on: August 29, 2021, 10:48:38 AM
I couldn't find their terms and condition do I have to deposit before I can claim the bonuses or I get the bonus once I sign-up. What's the duration of the bonus and is the wins from the bonus withrawable ?
Why do you need to see the terms and conditions, is in the gambling site itself, besides the link given is obviously the sole purpose is for referral which is obviously trying to advertise here for making a profit.

I dont know where it comes from the rating or the review per each gambling site, in crypto gambling site Bitstar it seems I have heard this there are several scam accusations towards them, is the rating is only made by the OP? We should be careful upon picking a gambling on that list, that is unpopular one and it is possible we get scam and big bonuses are just a marketing strategy.

I think if you are making a new account through any referral and plan to deposit and play, it is recommend that you read the terms and conditions and also FAQs. It may take a little time but it will help you avoid any issues which may occur in the future.
798  Economy / Gambling / Re: [CLOSED] ★BetBTC★ Sportsbook | Bitcoin Sports Betting | Since 2014 on: August 29, 2021, 10:24:24 AM
Here is my suggestion. After 1 September, which is the official date for closure of withdrawals, maybe you could leave a page containing instructions and contact details that anyone else who missed out withdrawing or has any other past issues could use to contact the team and have problems solved  Wink

I think they already have accounts details of people who have funds in the site. They can email all of those users, who have funds, to withdraw their money. Many people keep funds on the sites but they are not active on the gambling sites. However people do check their email regularly and this may help them.
799  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you want to quit trading ? on: August 29, 2021, 09:42:16 AM
all of this requires a very large mentality, especially decentralized exchange trading, the risk is very large but the profits are also comparable... It's important to minimize losses and maximize profits. Don't make trading your main job. real work must also be diligent... sometimes also if there is a big loss it is also thought to stop for a moment to restore the mind

Don't make trading your real job. Trading may give good profits but in the bear market its very difficult to make good profits when mostly the coins dumps and never recover in the short term.

You can make trading your side business while you should have some other income generation where you can get regular income.
800  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Lunaland [scammed] huntters payment 1,500,000 LLN ($79,402.50 current price) on: August 29, 2021, 06:31:21 AM
Man, that's a sad story.

I have a question (forgive me, I have no experience in bounty management). Can't those guys first get the tokens into a trusted escrow before the bounty campaign begins, since they mint them from a thin air anyway?

That way there will be no stupid bending of rules by the scammers like they did.

Tagging and supporting the flag.

Exactly my thoughts,  clearly this bounty was pronounced as weekly payment bounty which means participants are to get paid every week before the next week campaign commence, if that was not implemented in the beginning then there is no need to blame a scammer for refusing to pay now that project is successful and doing well,
It's about time escrowing bounty funds is taken seriously, this goes to other bm's as well, opening scam accusation afterwards don't usually serve any good. The hunters will just accept it.

As i see this, the bounty was only for 3 weeks, so people didn't care much if they announced to pay the token after end of three weeks.

What i have seen mostly that if the token gains value, the project owner, don't want to give valuable token free of cost to the bounty hunter. They forget that it is because of these bounty hunters the token gain popularity on social media and here on bitcointalk.
