781  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The green shouldn't always be the reason to enter the market on: June 22, 2023, 08:55:07 PM
That is how important of knowing how to read that price chart and Technical Analysis.
Because for me, the colors are just a representation that it drop or pump but must know the actual trend of the market which we can see in the price chart. If we keep relying on the colors, no wonder why we commit mistakes and losses. Indeed, we need to control our emotions and stop rushing, we need to be cautious always and create decisions once assessment has been done.
782  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo Alvarez vs Jermall Charlo Super Middleweight (September 16) on: June 22, 2023, 10:55:23 AM
This is a good fight for Canelo as he seeks to face well-known boxers. Jermall Charlo, being a popular middleweight boxer, makes for an exciting opponent. While Canelo may not be considering moving up in weight, he consistently provides entertaining fights by not choosing lesser-known boxers.

Jermall Charlo currently maintains an undefeated record with 22 knockout wins in 32 fights, showcasing a strong track record. I believe he will present a tough challenge for Canelo.

@bisdak40, if there's a poll it would be better.
783  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 22, 2023, 10:16:03 AM
After Finals end I was at the vacation as well and didn't check NBA news. Any suggestions for new poll? What's the hottest discussion right now?

Probably who will be the first pick in this years draft? (although the odds favor Victor Wembanyama).

Yeah, very interesting that Marcus Smart, who I think is the face of the Celtics as he has been with the team for 9 years and has played along some notable Celtics during that time, is moving to Grizzlies.

So now Memphis will have 2 DPOY on their side. But still the problem though, Ja Morant is going to missed 25 games and not sure if Smart is going to cover for him this season as he is not a offensive player.

The Celtics know what they are lacking, and I believe that adding Porzingis will help them spread the offense. Being a big man who can shoot from the 3-point line, he brings versatility to their game. However, the concern is whether he will stay injury-free. In my opinion, giving up Marcus Smart is not a significant problem as they have younger guys who can step up and fill his role. Hopefully, this trade will work out for all the teams involved.
784  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How quick do altcoins pump in bull run? on: June 21, 2023, 06:08:42 PM
I will tell you OP that the most interesting part of crypto is during the bull season and why? Because this is the time to see the unexpected happen in most altcoins which also includes worthless coins. Those who have had a remarkable experience in the past 2 bullrun where they can see altcoins that pump x1000, we can still expect this time again. That is why when the bull season is coming, people are buying more on altcoins, not Bitcoin because of that possible situation.

Honestly, I was excited to check MyEther wallet, especially for my airdrop coins during the bull season, and hoping for something.
785  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop stressing kids with bitcoin on: June 21, 2023, 05:24:59 PM
I agree with you because childhood is only for age-appropriate learning and playing, not for learning investment or digital smells like this
when they are adults they will naturally find out all the existing technology

We must know how to adjust ourselves concerning them because we will not make them learn everything at once because we might steal their childhoods from them. In this stage, they need to experience life and some child things to have a healthy environment, and we don't need to give them pressure regarding the stress from the crypto market. They need to learn bitcoins as a currency, and that's it; they can get back to doing their things and not worry about it again until they find curiosity and want to know more on their own.
The role of the parents is to take good care of the future of their children but sometimes we drive it wrong because we wanted them to learn earlier about investing which you are right about, it was a steal to their childhood. It was their right as well to enjoy such moments and keep memories of their childhood playing with other kids, not carrying some responsibility. Because I know there is a right time to learn Bitcoin as this is not just an easy task for them, it was a more technical and huge responsibility that is not yet suitable for their young age.
786  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 21, 2023, 12:45:28 PM
There is a strong likelihood that Inoue will stay in the division for a while if he becomes a champion. As long as Casimero remains the top contender, there is a good chance that the fight between them could materialize. The key factors that may come into play are the negotiation process and Inoue's genuine willingness to face Casimero. A potential matchup between them would finally put an end to the speculations surrounding Casimero and Inoue. I am eagerly anticipating the Fulton vs Inoue fight, as its outcome, hopefully favoring Inoue, could potentially pave the way for Casimero to challenge him.

That's a high possibility that Inoue would stay in this weight category as he has yet to prove that he can bring his power to a higher division. If he wins (Inoue) then a unification fight with Tapales is the biggest for this division to happen thus far and a fight with Casimero will only materialize if the latter will keep on winning and become a mandatory challenger as calling out Inoue without a belt or something might not interest the Japanese Monster to fight him as he has nothing to gain in fighting Quadro Alas.
Yes, and it will be far the quickest road to unify all the 4 belts in the modern era and he could make another history. This is just his first fight at super bantamweight and if ever he wins he will go for the unification with Tapales at second fight.

Then it's going to be difficult to retain all the belts, because each body will have it's mandatory fight so going to be hard which one is he going to chose and which belt he will vacant so that other fighters like Casimero can fight over it.

If Inoue is successful in pursuing a unification fight and becoming the undisputed champion in this division, then Casimero would have no chance of fighting him anymore. Similar to what happened in the Bantamweight division, after becoming an undisputed champion, Inoue decided to move up and vacate all the belts. Casimero might become a champion, but only after Inoue vacates the title, which would leave him still chasing Inoue as he would not get an opportunity if Inoue decides to move up once again.
787  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 21, 2023, 12:18:06 PM
But still its good to watch how this prospected number one pick will perform since many expect that he can dominate NBA since he is called as generational talent.

He won't be playing as the center, I guess, as that would most likely increase his chances of getting injured. Wemby will be the number 1, and I'm certain that the team, the Spurs, will prioritize his protection. Considering how Coach Pop nurtures his players, I expect Wemby to become one of the greatest players in the NBA in the future given his gift, you know he is a number 1 pick for a reason.

Given his versatility on the court, he is best suited to play as a forward. You can see his stats here: https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/w/wembavi01.html
Based on what is written as his position, he is listed as a Center/Forward, but I believe he has primarily played in the forward positions in most games.

While his numbers may not be overly impressive, being a talented big man, it's certain that teams will pursue him. That's exactly what happened with the Spurs, who were able to secure the number 1 pick.
788  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What tips you will give to a new investor to identify scam projects early ? on: June 20, 2023, 09:42:39 PM
Actually, it is part of the research.
 - knowing the team members
 - project use case
 - reading the roadmap

We already have to do these things but unfortunately, it never guarantees us a 100% safe investment. Scammers are absolutely smart now that no matter hard to check, sometimes we still fall into their hands. We just know later after a few days or weeks that a particular project turns into a big scam.
789  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Better to have a trading knowledge than depending on signals. on: June 20, 2023, 01:10:58 PM
That was bold and clear to understand OP. I know signals could help but not to the point of relying on them because they are just good at first but in the long, it was not helpful anymore and the people who got involved with this will benefit the most while the trader will get losses and less knowledge.
 - if we want to improve and succeed in trading, therefore, we have to stay away from these signals instead, do it on our own. Because it was easy to do TA when we have knowledge of the market and most especially in trading where profit can be unlimited. Unlike in the situation where we just rely on others' ideas and our future relies on them as well. If they fail, we fail the same.
790  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: June 20, 2023, 11:32:56 AM
Ginebra vs Blackwater
Converge vs TNT

The first game is pretty obvious; Blackwater is the favorite, so it's easy to follow that assumption. However, in the second game, TNT might be the slight favorite, but Converge is also a good team. So good luck with that. Just follow the trend without hesitation and let's see how your bankroll ends up by the end of this tour.

Based on the current standings (source: https://pba.ph/standings), Ginebra has only won one game so far, while TNT has yet to secure a win.
791  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 20, 2023, 10:56:49 AM
Well I also think that Draymond Green is a key figure for the Warrior's Success and I truly agree that he is the heart of the Warrior's Defense if he was not around the Defense will surely crumble, even making play will be very difficult without him, so just like you two I really can't imagine a Warriors team without Draymond Green,
The question is, who would the Warriors acquire to replace Draymond's role? We know that Draymond is not an offensive threat, but he excels in defense and ball facilitation. What would be Curry and Thompson's reaction if Draymond were to leave? Can they still maintain their status as the Splash Brothers without a player who consistently sets screens and assists with ball handling?

However according to the betting odds from: https://www.810thespread.com/news/draymond-greens-potential-landing-spots/

Quote
Here’s a look at the teams with the six best odds to land Green, according to the initial numbers released by DraftKings: Warriors +150, Lakers +500, Mavericks +700, Suns +800, Rockets +1500, Heat +2000.

The Warriors are still the top favorite for Draymond to land with. Smiley
792  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin Be Badly Hurt if Binance Goes Down? on: June 19, 2023, 09:52:02 PM
I really am no fan of Binance because I found their KYC annoying. What is not in doubt is that CZ is supposedly one of the most credible faces of crypto. How much harm do you think a Binance implosion would cause Bitcoin? Is the US a big threat to the coin market?

https://www.cryptoinfowatch.com/a-former-sec-official-said-the-binance-ceo-and-others-may-face-criminal-charges-soon/
And the impact is likely would make doubtful individuals get panic. The price of Bitcoins will get affected and dumped but not going to the point that it turns back low like in the first quarter of this year. CZ is a known person and has market influence, and he would do something to save his reputation and retain his business. That is why despite the issue against the SEC, I was still confident that it will be resolved. Besides, the SEC doesn't target Bitcoin but only Binance, so it did not necessarily have to worry.
793  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Investing and trading in crypto: can make you or mar you. on: June 19, 2023, 09:25:53 PM
Those who had it that way could have been a victim of a hype or being an impulsive investor.
Most of the time those who ends up like that doesn't really know how to manage their funds or to trade properly, because if they do they would have cut loss before it goes lower to the point that they would lose too much on their portfolio.
If they bought or invested on crypto they should also have made some plans on when to cut loss and and to buy back in order to lessen their loss on their investment.
This is the problem for most investors, they enter into this kind of investment without knowledge, and of course, we can never expect success from that situation but certainly of losing their money. Because what is in their mind is that they can make money too easily but unfortunately, when the market condition got into the dump or bear season, they'll get panic and sell their Bitcoin and lose. And this will be the result of being an impulsive and unknowledgeable investors.
794  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 16, 2023, 11:03:01 AM
Nikola Jokic changed the way we look at NBA and especially at the younger players who never saw how Magic, Bill, and Larry did it. It's almost like this, the Joker revived a strong big man, not like a "Shaq" big man but more of a versatile big man. And, I have no doubts Jokic will keep on passing more records from way back some of us were born.

Jokic would easily win the regular season MVP next season because he can easily generate triple-double stats. As long as he is healthy, the Nuggets will once again reach the NBA Finals. However, in the Eastern Conference, I don't think it will be the Heat, unless they upgrade their roster.

Shaq can be dominant inside but does not have the same shooting ability, especially from the free-throw line. On the other hand, Jokic is a complete package as a big man, capable of scoring, passing, and rebounding. He is also a great three-point shooter, with a possibly higher percentage than Curry.

Shaq was dominant in his time, but it's challenging to directly compare him to the era of Jokic. This is because big men in today's NBA have already learned how to shoot, at least to some extent, as it has become a requirement even if they aren't as dominant physically. When Jokic entered the NBA, he was considered an ordinary player, but as he stayed with his team, his game developed, and he built great chemistry with his teammates.

If we look at Jokic's stats from the 2015-2016 season when he started, we can see a significant improvement in his game currently.y with his teammates.

Looking at his stats when he started in 2015-2016 season, there's already a huge improvement currently.

795  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | July 25 on: June 16, 2023, 10:10:57 AM
So still a very good fight for Inoue at super bantamweight and hopefully we can see this fight happening next year at least. And it might be good if Casimero will be the challenger, so that he will be extra motivated to pull an upset win.

As of now, his ranking is not yet considered to be a challenger to the champion, you can see the ranking here.

https://www.boxingscene.com/rankings

It might take some time, but as long as Casimero continues to fight, he will eventually reach a level where he becomes the number one challenger. In the case of a mandatory fight, the champion would not be able to refuse it, as the organization could strip him of the belt.

Is that ranking already updated? Casimero won his last fight, so it's likely that his ranking has increased somewhat. However, since he fought an unknown boxer, the impact on his ranking may be minimal, and it's unlikely to propel him to the number one spot.

as of this ranking ; https://boxrec.com/en/ratings?division=Super%20Bantamweight&offset=0&sex=M

Casimero is currently ranked at number 2. Based on this information, it seems that this ranking is the most recent and up-to-date.
796  Economy / Speculation / Re: Time to Hodl or buy the Dip? on: June 15, 2023, 09:33:47 PM
With the current bear run of bitcoin at the market cap of 520.50B, down from 527.83B yesterday and down from 570.09B one year ago, at the price of $25k do you think it is a good opportunity to Hodl or buy the Dip in the current market?
Might say that the market cap really matters to some people like you but for me (and many others), the current price and market situation matters a lot. Because Bitcoin will certainly grow and increase in price in the future due to increasing demand and users. The future of Bitcoin doesn't rely on the market cap but on the community who supports this project. In fact, many FUDs spread on the internet, and many government issues about banning Bitcoin, as we can see it even gained more supporters and users.

That is why I encourage those who have not yet buy Bitcoin, we have the chance but for those who have already, hold or just buy more.
797  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC lawsuit caused massive market crash on: June 15, 2023, 08:54:17 PM
The SEC lawsuit against Binance has caused a major market crash, especially hitting BNB hard. It's worrying, and the future of BNB looks uncertain unless a solution is found. It remains to be seen if governments will have the upper hand in the crypto world.
The lawsuit definitely showed its effect on the market since Bitcoin and every cryptocurrency started dropping right after the news started spreading across different social media platforms and online news portals. As you mentioned some tokens are affected more than others including BNB which has faced significant drops since SEC has announced that they will take Binance to court.

There are also some other bad news circulating in the industry which are causing the market to crash as well but because they are not as big as Binance and Coinbase being sued for some of their services. However, we will soon recover from that too.
People see it as a bad sign about a huge market crash and some are selling off their coins in order to anticipate such a crash. Of course, I may not say it was a bad decision but as we can see, the market isn't in worse condition so I think we don't have to worry too much as we know that FUDs cause declines but after this, it rise again. Nevertheless, might the price of Bitcoin will crash but I don't think it drops below $25k and it that will sustain, it means that many people still have the guts to hold than the number of investors who are weak.
798  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: June 15, 2023, 01:18:20 PM
And for those who made a bet for the NBA champion. Congratulations to you guys.
Here is the odd of how much is it before the season ended or before the playoffs started.

8.50. It's not bad.

A significant multiplier for a team that finished in the number one spot in the West. It's evident that the Nuggets have been underestimated, which is why their wins rewarded bettors who trusted the team.

By the way, the odds for the NBA championship in the 2023-2024 season are already available. You can check them out here:

Golden State Warriors +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)
799  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: June 15, 2023, 01:02:27 PM
That or a salary increase. Only those two reasons why a player would decline the player option. He is valuable now. There are lesser point guards in the league who are healthy and he is one of the best choices of any team who doesn't have a playmaker because he can score on his own, handle the ball with care, and he can make a play too. It's hard to find guys who could do both.

Players who reject a huge offer likely believe that they can still make a lot of money compared to the offer on the table. VanVleet was the leader of the Raptors last season, and his stats were very consistent. He can certainly contribute that to other teams as well. He desires a max offer, and with the Raptors having a new coach, there's no assurance that the current system will continue to work in his favor.
800  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: what happened to the market today? on: June 14, 2023, 11:31:37 AM
i was surprised to see the market today, everything fell in a short time, bitcoin fell around $1000 very fast and looking at coinmarketcap, all coins are red.  a few days ago bitcoin rose slowly, but today was very surprising. What happen today? Roll Eyes
If you are new to the crypto space, I'm not surprised. But just to tell you that what you have seen today is very common in the crypto space, that's how volatility looks like and we can't expect everything to go so well, a market crash is also possible. That is why it is called a risky investment and if you can't manage to handle this situation and are able to adopt it, surely it gives stress on you.
I encourage you to keep strong and calm, it dumps today but believe it will turn back high again.
