It's fun may mga activities sila diyan, well, at that time yung hinabol namin ng mga classmates ko ay yung certificate talaga. Grin
Akala ko libreng pagkain Grin

Oo, tama yung pamagat

Quench your curiosity about cryptos!

Watch the FB livestream of BSP FinEd Expo 2021 Learning Session, “Cryptocurrency 101” on 23 November 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.

Inaasahan ko yung useual price volatility at status as far as regulation is concerned.

803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Play-to-Earn games on ETH: What's the catch? on: November 20, 2021, 02:47:27 PM
~ it's not only passively playing the game to earn nothing. that's only making us feel tired.
Catch is your time
Apart from tx fees and price volatility of the native/in-game token, that's the other catch especially for those who are just starting. It can become passive though because there are games like Axie which allows you to sponsor other players and do the daily grind for a share of the profit. Some game NFTs can be staked too.

~ How does the game generate revenue by itself? I suppose it's not out of thin air.
I think this should have been given more emphasis in the OP. Each game economics is slightly different from others and you can usually find them written in the whitepaper.

In one game I know, the tokens used for creating a character goes to a reward pool and redistributed to players. The team doesn't really make money from that but it helps make the game sustainable.

I'm not having the best of results from the WOF spins as a premium member but good thing I got a nice gift from one of those promo emails (my second Golden ticket). I don't really expect a lot from this but it's still nice to be given the chance to win something really big.

805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Jack Dorsey far less decentralized exchange (tbDEX) on: November 20, 2021, 09:25:48 AM
This is my first time learning about this exchange but a quick read on the WP's abstract and you'll get the idea that they will require some verification. Did they really advertise/propose privacy and anonymity to US citizens? If so, that was a bold but a dangerous move because it's the US and every legal crypto exchange there is regulated. I guess what they're offering now is still better than Coinbase, Binance US, and Bittrex US.

On a side note, we should probably start normalizing the use of the term non-custodial exchange instead of DEX but I can't think of a good abbreviation. NCEX?
806  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Real Properties sold for crypto on: November 20, 2021, 08:33:52 AM
Most probably familiar sa Crypto ang owner nyan kaya willing mag accept ng crypto as mode of payment.

808  Local / Pilipinas / Real Properties sold for crypto on: November 19, 2021, 04:31:54 PM

809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if governments make Bitcoin centralized? on: November 19, 2021, 02:55:05 PM
BTC as One World Currency Grin Why would they even think of that in the first place? Each country will always prioritize their own national interest and will continue to protect their own currency. Hard to think they will ever unite just to control Bitcoin when they cannot do it to fiat for decades/centuries. Of course, there is a slim chance but that would probably take an alien invasion.
810  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: November 19, 2021, 02:42:23 PM
811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Rewards and Uphold.com Exchange: A Terrible Combination on: November 18, 2021, 08:49:52 AM
I hold Brave team responsible for this, how much is the earnings that AML/KYC is required and they claimed to be a privacy compliant company. The Brave team benefits for my work and refused to even have a support where community voice matters.

After a year of watching ads, Brave team got paid while I got nothing despite spending my money and time on their browser, that's unfair.
I was not expecting a complaint because it's been a long time when the KYC requirement to receive BAT rewards has been announced and implemented. Did you not know that before you started? AFAIK, they later started to block users from certain countries and yours is probably one of them.

I'm not also sure why you suddenly have a problem with their privacy claim when you enabled the brave rewards. You know those ads paying you could be tracking your online activity too.
812  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: November 18, 2021, 04:00:37 AM
Guys just a quick question, before level two (2) verified ako pero after some time, nag expire yung credentials ko.

Magkano initial request mo for daily cash outs?
813  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: November 17, 2021, 08:43:37 AM
814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Face2Face is not Bitcoin ethics on: November 17, 2021, 08:13:59 AM
I cannot open the link but is it really that bad? Can authorities really do that? Are all types of crypto transactions there a criminal act now? I just came across another topic where they plant agents on P2P platforms like Binance and Paxful and use some crypto keywords to trigger the bank and close the customer account.
It is actually that bad and the government here are doing all they can to frustrate Bitcoin transactions inorder to maintain the control they have over the people; Bitcoin offers a level of freedom, especially to the younger generation who are quite frustrated with the state of the nation. After the ban, users flooded to P2P platforms same way people started using VPNs a lot after the Twitter ban, this sort of makes the ban irrelevant, so the government allegedly started infiltrating P2P platforms to block accounts of users still using Bitcoin.
I tend to believe the infiltration but how about the legal arrests of users caught in the act of selling or buying BTC? That's what I really wanted to know because it's only a ban issued by the central bank AFAIK which means it shouldn't be a criminal act. I've read about authorities allegedly arresting some people they believed are involved in crypto and extort money but that's illegal.

Security and privacy are definitely important but if they cannot sell or spend their BTC anywhere else, they might as well take the risks of F2F.
A face to face transaction does not really remove the risk involved, the government could still infiltrate it and still block accounts involved.
It doesn't but it still minimizes the risk of bank account closure using the method I mentioned (or at least delay it until you cash out).
815  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance vs Kucoin vs FTX... Which to go with (KYC non issue)? on: November 17, 2021, 07:50:25 AM
Just be careful not to use it as long term storage.
Why is that?

I'm a little bit surprised this was even asked, but it's a good question.

Well, it is because it is not safe.
I'll expound on why it's not safe.

We have an old adage Not Your Keys, Not Your Bags. It means that the money on the exchange is not completely yours until you withdraw it in your non-custodial wallet (a wallet where only you control the seed phrase/private key). If your assets are in centralized exchanges like Binance and Kucoin, you are also exposing your money to hacks. We know these exchanges improved their security and are probably big enough to cover potential losses of customer funds but you never really know. Aside from that, your account and personal information is also at risk because regulators could force them to turn it over.
816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A question about the Ethereum Meta token. on: November 16, 2021, 11:16:36 AM
What is the error every time you try to swap? One factor I see is due to low slippage. Some tokens have some sort of a burn feature or the liquidity is low that's why you see swapping errors. Anyway, it's probably best to visit their social media channels, especially telegram, and ask there. Just don't entertain some random PMs there as it's likely from a scammer/admin impersonator.
817  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: correction or start of a bear market? on: November 16, 2021, 11:10:30 AM
~ further said that the end of this month until the end of the year, will be the most important point for the crypto market because at that time it will be a representation of the situation going forward. he said if by the end of the year some big coins pass their support point, then the market will not be fine going forward. but on the other hand if big coins like bitcoin, ethereum, bnb and others can stay at current prices, the start of the year will be a pretty good situation to trading.
This might come as a surprise to you but what your friend said is actually the sentiment of most people around here and in other crypto forums/groups.

Did he also mentioned what the support points are? That's an important detail you should ask. If we look back at the prices history, the $20K ATH in 2017, we saw a drop to around $3K in 2018. and from $63K ATH last April, we saw a drop to around $30K in July. Now, we're witnessing another drop from the latest ATH and it will probably bounce off around $55K ($50K at worse). I'm not an expert when it comes to TA but I don't see BTC coming back to $30K levels during bear market again if we're going to see a pump to $100K+ by EOY.

818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are people already making low Ethereum gas fee transfers due to EIP-1559? on: November 16, 2021, 10:25:23 AM
~
My question is have people already started paying lower fees on Ethereum network due to a gradual protocol change as shown by ETH Gas Station?
IIRC, those fees were already happening prior to EIP-1559. One of the main reason might have been setting a ceiling for the Gas limit up to 15 million (from 12.5 M) which helped relieved network congestion. The adjustment took place around April this year following a suggestion from Vitalik.
819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are there so few opportunities to verify blockchain projects? on: November 16, 2021, 10:13:29 AM
Hello everyone, I am interested in the question, why are there so few ways to check a token or coin for transparency and compliance with the law? After all, there is a lot of hidden information that is not available to every user.
The only tool that can help with this is a project called CheckDot. His team is creating a similar platform that will be used to collect information and opinions on various projects in the blockchain world. Can't anyone else create something like this?

Have you heard of ways to check projects? Share if you know.

Marketing at its finest Grin

Guys, I'm interested, are there any ways to check a token or coin for compliance with all laws? After all, there is a lot of hidden information that is not available to every user. I heard that a project called CheckDot is creating a similar platform, it will be used to collect information and opinions on various projects in the blockchain world, but has no one come up with more verification methods until then?

Maybe you know more about how blockchain projects can be verified. Share your thoughts.

Hello everyone, I'm interested in the issue of checking projects and tokens.

There are many projects and each shows users big plans and ambitions. But as practice shows, not all projects keep their word and people often lose money by investing in the wrong project.

Recently I came across a project that was created to solve this problem - CheckDot. They have a nice strategy for checking and verifying projects, which seems to be useful.

What do you think about this problem and what solutions do you see?

820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What resources do you use before investing your money in new projects? on: November 16, 2021, 10:07:30 AM
I mean sites, Twitter accounts, Telegram channels etc.
Apart from Telegram which I only use for chats, I don't often look at social media platforms anymore. Twitter is where you see most of the noise but if you want a more filtered selection, Reddit is probably a better option. Of course, you still see spams there but it's more moderated.
