1181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Altcoin season started again? on: July 27, 2021, 05:48:15 AM
~ Nevertheless this market is so speculative and unpredictable!
It really is. Even bitcoin cannot escape high price fluctuations sometimes.

About the altcoin season, I think we're not there yet. The recent BTC increase from $29K to over $40K looks like a fake to me. As you can see, it already dropped back to $36K right after Amazon denied the rumor. Price will probably drop and test $30K again in the next few days. Altcoins will bleed once again.
1182  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Amazon Bitcoin Poll on: July 27, 2021, 05:36:17 AM
I voted No mainly because of the date. I also think they will accept BTC payments eventually but it's still too soon. They are probably just waiting for more of their major clients/customers to adopt it before they start opening such service.

With regards to converting their cash to BTC, maybe they will liquidate some of their investment in other markets and transfer to BTC.
1183  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The other thing getting "halved" every 4 years are the critics and nonbelievers. on: July 27, 2021, 03:07:13 AM
You got a merit from me just for the title alone....that was clever Grin

Regardless of the motive and personal opinion, these talking heads of financial institutions could not resists the benefits of bitcoin and cryptocurrencies. They already acknowledge the fact that people (clients/potential customers) are seriously into crypto.
1184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Olympics 2020/2021 : Discussion & Predictions on: July 27, 2021, 02:16:08 AM
I just came here for another congratulatory post for our first-ever Gold medal Grin

I read a post about her Olympic journey since 2008:
2008 - second to the last
2012 - didn't finish
2016 - Silver
2020 - Gold

I also read she got financial support from a private citizen during her preparation for the competition. Just goes to show how important that is to the athletes and why developed countries usually dominate.

Well done Hidilyn Diaz! Enjoy your PHP30 Million (~$600K) reward.

Should I close this thread? Can you tell me how to do it?
Yes you should since your issue has been solved.

You can see the option to lock topic at the bottom left (facing your screen).
1186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KickEx and KickToken, what can you say? on: July 26, 2021, 12:30:15 PM
I was in company of guys who discuss cryptocurrency and exchanges. One of them told me about KickTockens, its young project and good for investing but I have some doubts.
It's nice that you are not a blind follower because that will save from falling into some hype up projects with litlle to zero fundamentals.

By the way, Kick isn't a young project and you can check them here https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/kick. They've done an airdrop some time ago but they locked those tokens from being spent unless you meet their insane conditions. That was a tricky marketing and it's what made most people call them fraud.
1187  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BlockFi on: July 26, 2021, 12:16:20 PM
How much should a customer of theirs worry about this?
If you're worried about your funds there, I doubt it will confiscated. The worst case is that your information will be accessed by the regulators. Well, there's nothing much customers can do about that now. You all know it's a centralized platform that's been offering above the industry standard rates. You should have expected something like this to happen.

1189  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bittawm's Intro to Liquidity "Mining." The new most profitable form of mining? on: July 26, 2021, 06:43:14 AM
~ The kicker is these protocols often will give you additional token rewards (denominated in their tokens) to incentivize participation,
I've lost count of how much I've harvested so far but it's been pretty beneficial to me. A lot of the money I've been using for paying bills and investing in other coins/token comes from here.

Now let’s take a look at some of the issues Liquidity miners face:

Rugpulls and unsafe platform operators:

Some platform operators are straight up thieves (much like hardware scammers). It is important to assess the risks involved with each platform.

Gotta add security as part of the issue. I got some money on platforms that were exploited from flash loan attacks.

Check mo price ng Cryptoblades(SKILL), From 5$ price nung May the 1$ nung July 13 then ATH kahapon na 178$. 600K circulating supply ng $SKILL and nangyari ang price development for 3 months lng.

1191  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Buying BTC from KYC exchange on: July 25, 2021, 06:05:15 AM
~ I really like KYC exchanges because they are of good quality and professional.
You probably don't have that much stored on exchanges that's why you're not worried of locking account/seized funds and hacks. If you're not declaring your income from crypto, your so called professional exchanges can also give your personal information to your local tax man.

Mabuti nga at mataas HP nyan.

1193  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: Arenaswap Discussion Thread! Wag na magpahuli on: July 25, 2021, 05:15:02 AM
From $2 to $14 in 24 hours, maganda sana kung nakapasok 2 or 3 days ago.

1194  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: July 25, 2021, 04:17:41 AM
^ Agree that you can't really complain much about the judging/scoring mainly because it's done on a round per round basis. Nevertheless, TJ did a good job making the adjustments despite his popped knee as the fight went on. Those cuts on him are nasty though.

TJ is asking for a title fight next but I think we might see an immediate rematch.

edit: I just wanna give credit to TJ's tough chin and durable face Grin I also want to add that it was a mistake for Cory to go for that take down late in R3. I think that was crucial for the other two judges.

It's not illegal, but I don't know if you are familiar with CP3 news before that he wanted to join the Lakers and Kobe but it was stop by then commissioner David Stern,

https://ca.nba.com/news/this-date-in-nba-history-dec-8-commissioner-david-stern-vetoes-chris-pauls-trade-to-the-los-angeles-lakers/s3zzl4imi12c1uhc5a85va9sw
Yeah this was quite the news before. Those pair could have won two or three together.

About Giannis feedback on joining super teams, he's got every right to say that. It might feel offensive to the fans of those players but he has a valid point. He stayed patient with the Bucks until the management was able to put pieces around him unlike other players who are unhappy with getting bounced in playoffs and finals.
1196  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: July 24, 2021, 02:44:18 PM

~I don't understand, why they integrate providers like "Mascot" instead of the major ones.
I don't follow the developments on their slots games but I remember Betfury saying something about partnering with major providers after getting their license. It's been a while since they had it though. Maybe there are some disagreements on the terms that's delaying the deal.
1199  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There are three kinds of people in the Bitcoin world on: July 23, 2021, 10:01:27 AM
There are three kinds of people in the Bitcoin world, idealists, opportunists and faithists.
Based on the definition of each people, you just changed the names for investors (short), traders/speculators, hodlers. Mind you that these groups doesn't exist only in bitcoin but also on altcoins and other financial markets.

Bitcoin Maximalist
I prefer to call them purists.
