1441  Economy / Services / Re: Help me to approve a project | Reward: $50 pool for each project on: May 20, 2021, 06:40:11 PM
Is there a way to verify the BitGo insurance? The link provided in their WP only redirects to the Bitgo insurance policies but does not tell if Salient is actually insured.

Can they declare the existing businesses they claim from their tier 2 explainer video? e.g. location of property developed/under development and leased.

Their 1-4% dividends to token holders looks the same with how traditional companies operates. There's no guaranteed ROI because it's clear that dividends will come from the profits which was projected to be 20-30% annually.

The problem is their affiliate program. I'm suspicious of their terms that you also need to buy SIH before you qualify for the reward (the higher you hold, the higher the rank, the higher the reward). I don't think they needed that.

If they can remove their affiliate program (or at least revise it) and clear the questions I raised, they're good to me.

Just to change topic here, the amount of BNB from their free bnb box is getting lower. I thought, since the market is down these days, even BNB's price is down, the freebies should increase a lil bit. Just wishful thinking here.  Tongue

Just noticed the strange halving pattern too. Or perhaps the amount was increased from staking so they balanced it by reducing from the faucet?
The mining price per BFG increased by 100 sats yesterday after another 50 million were mined. I wasn't able to monitor the increase in USDT and other alts but, regardless of that, I don't think it's unrelated to the reduced reward in the faucet.

Anyone playing in USDT after the price of BTC crashed? I managed to gain another 150 BFG and up by 2 USDT. My 0.05 UNI was wiped out quickly though.

The addition of new coins is rather underwhelming. The in-house battle event lasting 24-hours only? That's disappointing especially because I seldom play slots. What happened to the free spins for every new coins/tokens added?

1445  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Argent wallet feedback required on: May 18, 2021, 01:12:33 PM
I don't feel comfortable using it because I got so used to having my seed phrase/private key in restoring to another wallet. The guardian system looks like an email recovery system to me. Features such as human readable address are nice though. Being able to freeze your Argent wallet using a guardian like hardware wallets should be given more highlight. You can also set yourself as the guardian.
1446  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: is there a telegram channel that discusses altcoins, prices, and altcoin news? on: May 18, 2021, 12:34:47 PM
I know there are small groups that's composed of mostly locals. It's not exactly a price discussion group but more like a group of friends just sharing/shilling the coins/tokens they bought or interested and anything else related to crypto.

If there are actual groups with thousands of members like that, it's most likely going to be infested with spams.

1448  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 17, 2021, 03:37:55 AM
The question is.. did he quit his job or was he given the option to quit, before they fired him?
I don't think that's even relevant. It's a personal investment and it's not illegal in their country anyway. Only Jamie Dimon would do a silly move to fire employees trading crypto.

You cannot work for a Bank and then profit millions from their arch enemy. Banks have tried their best to convince people and the regulators that Crypto currencies was a scam and Satan from Hell.... so why would they allow someone to work for them, when that person is profiting from the competition.
Goldman Sachs had been working to offer crypto services to their wealth management clients https://www.cnbc.com/2021/03/31/bitcoin-goldman-is-close-to-offering-bitcoin-to-its-richest-clients.html

Unfortunately I don't have enough coins to make any substantial profit. I mean even if you bought 10 bitcoins back in the days for 1 USD, you would have 500,000 USD now. But is this really enough to quit your job and retire? I feel like we need more money than that in the long run, especially if we have a family and kids to take care of. If we already have a house with mortgage and some other savings it might work.
A lot depends on what place you live.
Exactly. A $500K would make anyone from developing countries a multi-millionaire already. Expenses aren't that expensive compared to developed countries. Besides, you can set aside some of that to some investments that would give you passive income.

~ But what do we do if price drop?
You already converted them into fiat in your example.

~
I guess there is also the fact that would you quit your day job, or would you quit working? Those are very different things.

~
Wow for 0.1 CAKE you collected 305 BFG, only playing DICE? do you have a specific strategy for this? i have tried with $50 but only got under 100 BFG
Actually I have another strategy but haven't tried it because it takes $ 300-500 balance, if you have a better way I'm interested in trying
~
Wow that's impressive! As some others requested, care to explain your strategy? I am still trying to find optimal strategy to mine a maximum amount of BFG tokens but haven't found it yet.
It was nothing special. I would credit it to sheer luck. I played with a 49% win rate (x2 multiplier) in almost all rolls and I just flip it to over/under 50 sometimes. There were many times where I thought it's already over after a string of bad rolls but it reverses in my favor. At one point, the 0.1 CAKE went up to 0.6. There's also that time where I placed a bet that's 10x higher than what I intended. Luckily for me, I had more good rolls before I stopped and adjusted.
1450  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|⚡️$3.5mln Staking pool|⚡️New coins every week on: May 16, 2021, 09:00:14 AM
~ On a good day, a $2 would have given you hundred/s of tokens just playing Dice.
~ I still think it's possible to wager a lot with 50-100 dollars... and earn a lot of BFG's! Just it will take a bit more time and energy, but it's possible... if you know what you are doing!
~
With 5 bucks to spare, I'm gonna wager with all my might and see how far it'd fetch me those BFGs Cheesy
I just finished playing. I lost count of the number of Dice rolls (more or less 4000) but my 0.1 CAKE ($3+ on current price) yielded 305 BFG tokens and probably 1000+ sats from making it to the top 200 in the in-house battles. It's my best gambling in one session by far. This is what I meant with on a good day.
1451  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|⚡️$3.5mln Staking pool|⚡️New coins every week on: May 16, 2021, 06:39:57 AM
~
I know that 50k+ must have cost you a lot of money, that is why I wanted to ask that,
He already said he gambled using BFG tokens and still does from time to time. The other thing you need to know is when he started playing or mining because the mining price per BFG (TRX & BTC) before are much cheaper than today. On a good day, a $2 would have given you hundred/s of tokens just playing Dice.

1452  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 16, 2021, 05:42:37 AM
There seems to be a bit of misunderstanding but it's my fault for not making it clear. When I said quitting day job, I was referring to the fix 9-5 job where you work for someone else like the banker in the OP. I didn't mean to say you quit your crypto investments/trades or activities that generates income. It's more about being your own boss and/or working on your own terms (flexible time).

~
There are so many people getting rich right now that it's almost unbelievable--just think about anyone who had 1 million doge from when it was worth a fraction of a penny.  They now have more than most people have in their retirement accounts after working all of their lives.  Crazy.
Wait until you hear stories from those who bought another meme token inspired by Doge in 2020 and held on in 2021. A ~$20 turned into a million. At least that was the case before Vitalik started dumping millions that were sent to him by the devs.
1453  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the collapse of the media mean the collapse of cryptocurrency? on: May 15, 2021, 08:22:09 AM
~ Do you think the collapse of the media (Say a media blackout) can trigger the collapse of the value of cryptocurrencies?
Can you classify this media? Mainstream or social? A mainstream media blackout would surely have an impact but I don't think it would be that big because there's still social media which is more powerful now. If you're going to include social media blackout, then that's going to be tough to do. That might take shutting down the whole internet.
1454  Economy / Economics / Do you see yourself quitting after this bullrun? on: May 15, 2021, 07:45:28 AM
"Goldman Sachs banker quits after making millions on cryptocurrency" - That's the headline on one of CNBC article

Quote
~ Aziz McMahon, Goldman’s managing director and head of emerging market sales in London, quit after making millions of pounds from a bet on the digital currency ether, three former employees at the investment bank told CNBC.

~ McMahon is believed to have cashed in at least £10 million ($14 million) worth of cryptocurrency, the sources said.

~ When approached by CNBC, Goldman Sachs confirmed McMahon’s departure but declined to comment any further.

I purposely left out the coins he bought and profited from because it's irrelevant. The guy must be earning big already given his former position but it took investment in cryptocurrency to quit his job.

How about you? Do you see yourself quitting your day job after this current bullrun? I hope you make enough to start with a business of your own.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still large caps on altseason? on: May 15, 2021, 07:03:31 AM
So mid caps will explode soon ~

So what do u think about this pattern ?

Mid caps boom will come in 2 weeks may be
Money seems to be flowing between Ethereum to other high cap alts. Someone on crypto twitter addresses this as the phase 2-3 overlap. After ETH, ADA is taking center stage and other top 10s will bounce back soon.

Mid/Low caps will have its time and I'm guessing it's going to happen in three months+.

~
would it be more profitable with Gnana?
Converting to Gnana further reduces Banana supply. There's a dedicated staking pool for Gnana holders and they get a portion of the fees too. Read up on that.

~
I like the idea of the team burning some $BANANA to reduce circulation and increase scarcity, I hope it will reflect on price as well because this is where the interest of majority lies,
Price was around $0.90 when I started with this project. It went up to $10+ before retracing to $4+. It already bounced to $5+ as @OcTradism said.
1457  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Projects in the seed capital phase on: May 14, 2021, 06:20:45 AM
Information about the initial stage of funding are usually private or limited to a few people. It's only during public token sales that these new projects are known and there are plenty of websites that announces them including Coinmarketcap https://coinmarketcap.com/ico-calendar/ Unless you know some people, you probably won't get into seed A or B.
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Send this quick short easy to consume video to the energy fudsters on: May 14, 2021, 05:00:13 AM
I'm not sure I'm getting the message of the video correctly. So bitcoin mining is useful and helpful to the economy and environment because it adds to the demand and consumes excess/unused solar energy? I have little idea how owners of these machines operates but how is turning them on and off going to be beneficial for them and to the entire network?

Just placed my bet on Tony at 2.41.
I'm sorry, but I think you are going to lose that bet.
I've been wrong many times when picking bets and I'm pretty sure you did too with all your analysis or bets (if you actually do bet). Like I said, it's more like an out of respect to the man gamble. I don't think he's broken down mentally. It's just that his injuries in his past battles are catching up to him fast.
1460  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: May 13, 2021, 07:22:04 AM
Just placed my bet on Tony at 2.41. I don't know but it's probably just out of respect. This should be the last fight of his career whether he wins or not. Those legs aren't going to last longer and I'm pretty sure it will be attacked again by Dariush.

I'm staying out of the Oliveira-Chandler fight.
