In my opinion, this topic is inexhaustible; over time, views on it will constantly change, which means that the discussion on this topic will be constantly updated.
Nevertheless, make your post more constructive next time you open these kinds of topics. Simply asking which coin is better than this or that and not adding more information to improve the quality of discussion will most likely get reported and deleted. For example, what do you think happened in the last few years and what are the upcoming developments that could change people's view/opinion?

Or those recent naming trend like baby doge, baby shiba, baby dpet, and whatever project that's currently popular. Most (if not all) of these projects are just short term and money grabs. Imagine seeing a project with a campaign slogan meme token with a real use case Grin
1203  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will not be able to stay above $30k for 10 consecutive days ever again on: July 22, 2021, 07:03:08 AM
~

bitcoin today has gone up 6%, the proof is that it has improved from before with the price having reached another $31k before it fell below $30k.
so op's predictions don't seem to match the real conditions on the chart
OP said above $30K for 10 consecutive days. That means it could rise to that level but it would not be able to maintain it for the next 10 days (it could go $29K again). I've watched some TAs that price could go to $27K by the end of the month.

and it looks like bitcoin already has support for big investors.
A lot of people have been saying that since it reached $60K but it's still declining.
1204  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: you are interested low market cap coins that ? on: July 22, 2021, 06:47:18 AM
~ daily trading is better at this time, although the profit earned is small but we can continue to monitor the market and minimize risk
If you have all the time in the world to be glued in front of your computer or other trading device, yeah do that. We all have different strategies and I know some people accumulating more (DCA) while market seems to be moving sideways in preparation for the last quarter push to a new ATH.
1205  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Decentralized Finance (DeFi) on: July 22, 2021, 04:34:41 AM
What I am still concerned about is how the fee (I mean the transaction fee) of bitcoin could be while making transactions (I mean the onchain fee), when BSC is already existing which people can make use of with very low fee, including ethereum which its fee is though high but bitcoin fee will be slightly higher.
OP already pointed that out and mentioned sidechains and/or layer 2 solutions. I also read an article about how Taproot will improve privacy, scalability, and even open the possibility for smart contracts.

Regardless of the technical aspects, however, I am wondering if Bitcoin DeFi will be able to draw similar liquidity to what we are seeing in ETH & BSC. Will Bitcoin DeFi be able to compete?
Maybe yes, maybe no. It all depends on how the greater crypto community thinks of it.
1206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 21, 2021, 04:16:33 AM
Poor Paul. This was his best (and most likely the only) chance to win a ring. I had my banana boat post/meme ready in my mind when they were up 2-0 in the series but I guess we'll never have a chance to do it.

Anyway, Congrats to the Bucks! Giannis fulfilling a promise to Kobe (RIP). Well done.
1207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possible to use BTC and USD for pricing at the same time? on: July 21, 2021, 03:59:08 AM
Hats off to merchants who uses bitcoin valuation but we aren't at that stage yet where goods and services are priced in BTC and not in fiat. I do not even know if that time will ever come. Most people still prefer convenience over techs that they might find complicated.
1208  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is LISTED🔥 BUY🔺SELL🔺EXCHANGE|⚡️Free BTC+BNB| on: July 21, 2021, 03:32:56 AM
What bothers me now is the end game for their tokenomics and lack of economic game theory. It seems like they didn't ever have decent plan, they were only interested in liquidity and how to rise it artificially. Original token use case will go down the toilet when you can make more bfg by farming and not gambling.
Highlighted part might have been missed because more emphasis was given on didn't have a decent plan. Although I had some of my tokens staked there to generate more BFG, I voted no to the in-house staking program partly because of this reason.

About the plan, I think setting up an expiry for the staking was a good choice. It's like inviting these new users to transfer their tokens to their in-game balance if they want to earn dividends once it's over. They can be exposed to mining and gambling. I don't know if that's going to work though because Betfury is still providing liquidity to BiSwap.
1209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Poll 31 December 2021 - Now 20 July 2021 $30,000 on: July 21, 2021, 02:21:32 AM
I'm thinking we are near the bottom.
So where do you think is the bottom? I've read analysis that suggested $30K was already the bottom but it's already broken twice. The worse case scenario I thought was $25K but I wouldn't be surprised now if it dips below that level.

Anyway, I voted for $50K-$75K and that's my conservative guess. We'll probably have two more months of consolidation before hitting $40K again and to a new ATH.

~ I think this post should be in the Speculation board.
I agree.
1210  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOLDING TOKEN TO EARN DIVIDENDS on: July 21, 2021, 02:10:54 AM
We were told to hold token in wallet for the long term. in the earlier stage. most projects promises holders and long term investors that holding will generate more benefits and interest if they can hold the token for long term.
today, None of these tokens offered dividends for holding, rather they creat campaigns for staking and ask investors to deposit.
This was probably said to you when staking and yield farming wasn't even a thing. Why not mention them here?

It's either adapt to the trends or be left out. The crypto market today is so competitive and a lot of these projects follow where the money is.

My questions, are the long term benefits of crypto changing or it is just useless to hold since you can partake in farming and staking programs.
Farming and staking is basically still holding. Some are done on third party platforms while others are done on internal wallets.

There are still projects that rewards holders just by holding on their personal wallets though. The model is distributing a part of the transaction fees to the holders. Safemoon is an example of that.
1211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why the hate on binance exchange on: July 21, 2021, 01:57:44 AM
Is there any tangible reason why binance exchange is been hunted? It seems they just hate success or what?
It's a centralized exchange that's trying to have presence on different countries by setting up partnerships with local companies/individuals. How do you expect the country regulators to react? Implementing regulations isn't hating on anything.

Anyways no matter what they try CZ is a determined fellow, that's why binance made it this far,
And this is what gets him into trouble. He dips his hands on matters that are highly regulated and fellows like you have no clue.
1212  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Which trading platform to use in Belgium ? on: July 20, 2021, 08:51:37 AM
~
However, I wanted to ask the community for more advice. A friend of mine recommended to me Etoro. Do you think it is the right choice for a beginner ? Also heard a couple of good stuff about Coinbase...
If you're okay with heavily regulated centralized platforms like these two you mentioned, you don't mind giving your personal information to them, and not worried about the risk of account lock up, I guess they're fine.

Just know that there are fully decentralized exchanges like Bisq, peer-to-peer, and semi-decentralized exchanges/apps that are available. I personally like using Safepal wallet to access Dapps like Binance.

~ Kanina ko lang pala nakuha iyong 2nd compensation. Iyong iba nung nakaraan pa. Tamang pikit na lang nga ako sa mga nag-fflex sa Telegram buti dumating din sa akin. Cheesy
Nakuha ko na din sa akin kagabi. Shorter time yung pag-upgrade nila this time pero parehas lang compensation nung nakaraan.

Kayod lang sa mga matinong mag-farm. Yung mga bug abuser at auto-clicker ay nasampolan na (banned account). Report-report lang ng bug para sa ikabubuti ng laro.
1214  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange won't release bitcoins unless I verify identity. Advice appreciated. on: July 20, 2021, 06:52:20 AM
Anyway, I deposited about $1000 worth of bitcoins on Paxful when ID verification wasn't required, but now Paxful won't let me withdraw unless I go through ID verification. Because I don't want to hand over my ID, my bitcoins are stuck.
Pretty much the same situation with exchanges like Bittrex when they first implemented forced KYC to all their users.

@Upgrade00's suggestion of bugging them on social media could work just like what happened to this user

Paxful banned my account over a year ago for accidentally marking a $30 payment complete. Even though I canceled the trade after I realized my mistake a moderator still perm banned me an hour after I canceled the trade and they have been refusing to let me withdraw my balance for the last year now. Below is a reddit post I made about this showing multiple other people who also had Paxful admins steal their bitcoin

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/f35kc0/bitcoin_exchange_paxful_stealing_peoples_bitcoin/

Edit: After over a year and blasting them on social media they finally let me withdraw my bitcoins. Case closed.

It's not the same but as the case above tells you, they could also give in to the pressure. It will most likely take a long time too.
1215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Red flags in the bear market.FBI Warns&Dow plunge. on: July 20, 2021, 03:27:25 AM
All is red flags in the bear market for crypto market, how do you think of it?What we should do?
I'm not gonna tell you what to do. If you see these news and events as red flags or signs of a coming bear market, sell your cryptos for fiat or stable coins. To each his own. Personally, the stock market sell off could be also a sign that more traditional/institutional investors are moving to cryptocurrency and/or gold market.
1216  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Staking on: July 19, 2021, 09:33:37 AM
~ is this to good to be true.
It would appear that way IF the fiat value of CAKE remains or goes up BUT, as already mentioned by others, the USD value could go under $1 at any moment. Would you consider that real?

Explore platforms that offers staking/farming for stable coins like BUSD - USDT (bep20) pairs. Most that I've seen offers higher APR than banks but be careful of potential exploits and rug pulls.
1217  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not fix Bitcoin directly? on: July 19, 2021, 06:25:00 AM
~ Why not fix Bitcoin directly?
You mean fixing on-chain scalability? Increasing the size of the blocks was also proposed before by Roger and CSW group but it was rejected. Instead, Segwit was implemented to help improve network scalability and reducing fees.

I'm not a developer (not even close) but I understand that improving scalability of a blockchain without compromising its security and decentralization will be difficult.
1218  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Muyan66 destroyed many Filipinos? on: July 19, 2021, 05:52:53 AM
Muyan66 destroyed many greedy, gullible, and hard-headed Filipinos.

Many of them were warned beforehand but they refused to believe the signs that it's a ponzi scheme. All they wanted to know is whether it was paying or not and that's enough for them. I pity the victims took their lives and those still alive who lost a lot of money but it's also a good thing that they learned a hard lesson.
1219  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 15 potential altcoins on: July 19, 2021, 05:40:37 AM
Kardiachain is picking up some steam because of blockchain games like MyDeFiPet. I'm looking forward to their non-invasive crosschain tech. That should create enough hype to lift it to over $200 Million (or close).

The only other project I know from the list is Verasity. They survived the 2018-2019 bear market and I wonder why they are still under $100 million.
1220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are we already in meme coins mania? on: July 19, 2021, 05:31:45 AM
i think we are passing this mania stage
Yeah I think this is what's happening right now. Elon's hype on Doge doesn't have that same effect while Shiba lost steam when Vitalik dropped the bomb on them. The new meme tokens like baby X and baby Y, cats, and other breed of dogs didn't really have that popularity.

If we're talking about mania, check out play to earn projects following the footsteps of Axie.
