1721  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoin questionnaire: 5 questions for you to answer on: March 12, 2021, 07:53:52 AM
1. Which altcoins do you currently have?
2. Why have you chosen those?
3. Do you use altcoins on daily/weekly/monthly basis and if so, for what kind of transactions?
4. Have altcoins changed your life somehow?
5. What do you think is the future of altcoins? Will they challenge Bitcoin?
1. I got plenty of tokens from my bounty days and most of them are trash now Grin Kidding aside, I'm holding some of the top 10 altcoins right now and some other smaller caps.
2. For investment purposes.
3. I seldom use it for paying something or for gambling if that's what you're getting at. I stake them instead.
4. I guess so.
5. I'll pass on the future of altcoins because there are still a lot of uncertainties. I don't think any altcoin surpassing BTC's market cap.

1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Not news but no wonder why ethereum transactions fees are high on: March 12, 2021, 05:15:17 AM
While arbitrage traders are also part of the problem, this case is probably just one of those days where they had to pay those kinds of fees. I checked the three transactions executed in the last 15 minutes and the fees were within the normal/standard range (94, 92, 88 gwei).
1724  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Does Cardano, Vechain, and Cosmos plan to continue giving staking rewards? on: March 12, 2021, 05:05:38 AM
I dont see anything that says they wont.
That's because there is no plan to switch to POW or other new algo that removes staking in the forseeable future. I also don't see them dropping it because it's one of their main marketing feature. Doing so would greatly affect users and might cause them to leave.
1725  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM ($XEM) worth holding for the Symbol ($XYM) drop? on: March 12, 2021, 04:35:53 AM
^ Yeah, I thought it was just my connection but one explorer was really down. I was monitoring blockheight at http://chain.nem.ninja/#/blocks/0

It's already time but less than five blocks before the snapshot and they already bombed the order books from 1000 sats to sub 700 sats  That was quite brutal Grin

Lucky are those who caught the dump. I hope those who got stuck holding will see a nice rebound a week from now,
1726  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM ($XEM) worth holding for the Symbol ($XYM) drop? on: March 11, 2021, 06:06:58 AM
I had my buy orders set up at 900 sats when I found out about the airdrop but it didn't hit Grin
Did you set your order at one price only? I set my orders at different price in the range I want to accumulate.
On this case, yes as I expected to drop more when it was hovering above 1000 sats but it bounced off at around 970 unfortunately. I've adjusted since then and waiting for the whales to move in. Maybe another rally to 1500 sats or even higher. We'll see Grin

~
I don't care about the airdrop and what happened with NEM. 40% of correction from the peak is enough for me to take it. In bull market, project won't be killed in one day, won't die for nothing. The coin was pumped now in correction and I will see its rally.
Yeah, another thing is that it's not like NEM is a new project planning to exit scam.
1727  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How USDT adjust their price? on: March 11, 2021, 05:43:25 AM

There is a risk though since they are gathering the value of USD from an external process, who is in charge? What guarantee that this person is always reliable?
They probably have a whole team for this. There's always that human error factor that's why I don't think they will just rely on one person to handle all of that. As to the guarantee that none of them will mess up, there's none I guess but people will trust that they're highly professional anyway.
1728  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Atomic Swaps or Decentralized Exchanges? on: March 11, 2021, 05:09:40 AM

Do you know how many nodes Ethereum has and is it the matter of the more nodes there's is in a network the more decentralize it is?
About 10K+ nodes according to ethernodes.org

BitTorrent P2P network has millions of global users connected to each other. Can we say everyday torrent users that are just downloading the latest movies are nodes of the torrent network?
I've little knowledge about this. Sorry but can't help you.

Lastly do you know if BSC in the future plan to increase the node count to more than 21? Because 21 nodes is too low and can be easily taken over by hackers or government because its a small amount to take over the network.
I don't know if they have plans to increase. They are probably not as worried from external attacks as you are because they control all the 21 validator nodes.

They are open for candidates to become a validator though https://docs.binance.org/smart-chain/validator/guideline.html
1729  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM ($XEM) worth holding for the Symbol ($XYM) drop? on: March 11, 2021, 04:47:10 AM

About one day left for the snapshot and XEM is still in the week of correction. Today is the 9th day of the on going correction. The chart presents that its price is falling to the support and can rally for the tomorrow snapshot. Without the snapshot, I think it is possible for a bounce when a coin touches a support. The snapshot supports further for a bounce.

I will enjoy the bounce if it happens in next day.
I had my buy orders set up at 900 sats when I found out about the airdrop but it didn't hit Grin

If it follows the trend I mentioned the other day, we should be seeing a good green candle soon and then another drop right before the snapshot. A lot of these people doesn't care about the XYM airdrop, they're more than happy just taking profits.
1730  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Short term solid projects? on: March 11, 2021, 04:32:16 AM
Why don't you just top up on any of those coins you already have? A lot of new altcoins today are short term plays and some of them already pumped 5X to 10X since December last year. Are you willing to take the risk? If so, then check projects on BSC and Polkadot.
Investing in such projects has a lot of risks, it is not advisable to invest in such projects if you are a person with little experience in the cryptocurrency market.
Every year we see hundreds of new projects but very little success, be careful with your investments.
I'm assuming you're responding to projects on BSC and Polkadot. The risk is there and the levels are different for each types of investors that's why I had a disclaimer.

When did you enter the cryptocurrency market? You cannot just assume that the fate of these new projects will be the same because not every year is a bearish or bullish market.
1731  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Did you earn or get any good money form airdrops? on: March 11, 2021, 04:19:45 AM
~ I always say this sorry for the question it may be a noob question but please understand I never tried airdrops some of you might say or reply that my question is searchable on google or something.
If you ever plan to, do not participate on airdrops you see on twitter with anonymous teams that simply requires you to fill up google forms, follow/retweet, and join telegram. I can tell you now that about 99% of those types of airdrops are crap. What you should seek are drops that are backed by projects with legit teams. Those that have been around for months. You can also participate in drops supported by exchanges.
1732  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM ($XEM) worth holding for the Symbol ($XYM) drop? on: March 11, 2021, 04:09:19 AM
~ if you are already up from your position, I think it would be best for you to sell the majority of your holding and only hold a few in case something big happens. never put all of your egg into one basket at once.
Or you can wait until the snapshot happens and sell all within the first minute Grin You are already in profit and you're also getting new tokens.
but sadly you can not do this when you are holding it on an exchange like Binance, because they will hold your coin for a few hours or even a few days before unlocking it.
Really? AFAIK, they only suspend deposit and withdrawal for a particular time before the snapshot happens but trading is unaffected. When was the last time you joined a holders airdrop? The last one I've seen and participated was IOST. I forgot to set the timer that time but I was able to sell within the first hour. I've read other comments selling within five minutes after the SS.

@topshelfcrypto, we should see interesting movements on Binance today until tomorrow.

The snapshot for the airdrop will take place at the XEM block height of 3,105,500 or approximately 2021-03-12 00:50 AM (UTC).

Think your missing what this AI actually does.
I don't think so. Go back to my original comment. The market is bullish and you can make money using simple set ups and not having to pay for any bot. I've encountered a lot of these trading tools that launched back in 2017 but most of them just disappeared in 2018-2019. I guess they couldn't get anything right during the bearish season. Come to think about it, why did this new tool launch on a bull run?
1734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATOM or SNX on: March 10, 2021, 07:32:22 AM
Basically, every project out there will claim they are here for long term. Both of them have staking features and that's good if you are aiming to earn passive income. If what you are after is massive price increase, I can't give you a precise answer to that. Just take a look at what their future plan is in terms of expansion and marketing. That should give you an idea if people will continue to buy them.
1735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How USDT adjust their price? on: March 10, 2021, 07:22:19 AM
You can take a look at how many tokens the company is minting from the treasury and you'll have a basic idea how they do it. I imagine setting up huge sell and buy orders at $1.01 and $0.99 respectively. They probably have a bot linked to each exchanges USDT is listed.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: March 10, 2021, 06:44:21 AM
Israel Adesanya left foot and ankle are screwed after fight with Blachowicz and he could face up to six months medical suspensions and Jan Blachowicz is suspended only for 30 days!
Jan mentioned that Israel's kicks were harder than he anticipated but Israel probably learned during that fight that Jan's or most of HW's built are different.

~
Also, for Amanda Nunes, I reckon she should challenge the men in bantamweight or featherweight for an intergender championship hehehehehe.
Just no! Come on Grin She could retire in peace now. No one will question her legacy.

~
I trust that Adesanya sought revenge, many said that I would not hold even 1 Round and stayed until the end, this must also be recognized.
I'm but is that Adesanya's own statement? If so, I don't think it's that many given how many bookies placed him as the favorite. That's probably the first time he played some kind of a victim card.
1737  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NEM ($XEM) worth holding for the Symbol ($XYM) drop? on: March 10, 2021, 06:09:07 AM
I have no idea what XYM is all about. There's a common pattern among these announced holders airdrop. The price usually tanks a few days before the actual snapshot and shoots up again. This has happened in Waves and IOST drops as well. Maybe some whales trying to take advantage of the event.

~ if you are already up from your position, I think it would be best for you to sell the majority of your holding and only hold a few in case something big happens. never put all of your egg into one basket at once.

1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Cardano (ADA) surrounded by vagueness? What are the actual features? on: March 10, 2021, 05:57:48 AM
I couldn't care less what Cardano is good for, what it claims to do better than Bitcoin or whatever other coin.  All I care about is buy low + sell high = PROFIT!!!!
It's all about what the charts tell you huh?

~
What are the currenct features of ADA? What is coming soon? When is it coming? A lot of these answers are "Charles said a long the way".
I don't know what you currently know or what you've read so far but you can look at the current roadmap to check what has been achieved and what's to come. Mary hard fork was successfully completed recently and developers can create tokens[1] and build dapps over Cardano network.

Another newbie question I have is can the fees on BSC become high like Eth gas fees now when Bsc network becomes congested like Eth now?
The volume on BSC is pretty high already and have exceeded ethereum's daily transaction at one point but the fees were not affected.

BSC has 21 nodes running right now which means it's more centralized than Ethereum. That also means they can control the fees. If you are going to scroll through CZ's twitter, you'll probably find a tweet that mentioned the number of times the transaction fees were reduced.
1740  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: March 10, 2021, 04:56:29 AM
~snip~
The odds for Dortmund and Sevilla are pretty good too but this one looks trickier to me. It might end in a draw with both teams scoring.
I think exactly the same way that it is very possible to see both teams scoring in this match.
And so as predicted, it's a draw with both team scoring. An entertaining match until the very end.

I placed bet on Porto for Draw No Bet @4x. I just had a gut feel that they will either draw or win but that red card ruined it. Still, props to them for making it to the next round though. It's good that Juve is already out of the competition. They need changes over there.
