1021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should altcoin PoW mining be regulated/banned? on: September 07, 2021, 09:12:11 AM
~ But there's a problem, this mining has created a huge demand for computer parts, the prices for them have skyrocketed to 2-4 times of the recommended price. Millions of people around the world can't get their hands on hardware for more than a year, and it's not only gamers but also professionals and researchers,
Didn't the gaming industry also influenced the price increase of computer parts before altcoin mining became popular? Maybe not as high as today but it's still significant. Was there an attempt by the government to regulate the price hike before? It would look unfair to miners if there was none.
1022  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Table] Withdrawal Fees and Withdrawal Amounts on Crypto Casinos on: September 07, 2021, 03:32:50 AM
Maybe you could add an additional note under Betfury that they allow withdrawal using another blockchain. Minimum amount and transaction fees are obviously lower in this case. Some would say that a wrapped BTC is not the real BTC but let's not argue over that.

Withdrawal on native blockchain is still the same.
1023  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 07, 2021, 01:47:54 AM
~

Maybe look for the handicap betting, that would best suit you, I guess.
I could do handicap betting if this was a pure MMA match and there's something on the line (not just money). No matter how they talk/act tough in front of media, this is still some boxing exhibition match where anything can happen. You never really know what's happening behind the scenes. I don't want to take that risk.
1024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cardano Smart Contracts coming soon? on: September 06, 2021, 08:56:47 AM
~ If the cardano smart contract really happens
do you think cardano will be able to become a rival to bitcoin, ethereum and binance?
Yes it will but keep Bitcoin away from this because the next few years will be a battle of smart contracts. Although I've read that many project devs have shown interest, I think it will take a bit of time for developers and users to adopt to Cardano's smart contracts. In fact, I'm already reading some articles that are critical to the new protocol.
1025  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 06, 2021, 08:33:38 AM
Who is following Dana's contender series? If you have picks, please drop some insights. I just felt bored because the next fight night will be happening in two weeks Grin

~
I don't know how his career will go from here on, but I wouldn't completely count him out just yet.
No doubt he still has the power and the striking skills to KO anyone. Maybe he should try to evolve his game? I think he still has time to develop a more well-rounded style.
1026  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: September 06, 2021, 07:59:59 AM
Odds now for Tito is 6.6 while 1.09 for Anderson. As much as I would like to take on that juicy line for the underdog but I can't see him winning Grin I guess I'll just become a spectator here. I don't expect a KO but Silva should be able to land a lot of stiff jabs while evading haymakers/overhands.
1027  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|🔥BFG is listed on CoinGecko|⚡️Free BTC+BNB|🔔Polygon & XRP release on: September 06, 2021, 03:51:19 AM
~ If you are going to keep doing this and add more coins/tokens then I would have to suggest that you should probably start with most known ones but also legit ones.
Calm down. It's not as if most people in crypto don't knows about the SEC case. Even with that knowledge, they still buy XRP for trading, fund transfer, and gambling purposes. Users have a lot of coins/tokens to choose from including Doge which is seen as merely a meme or a pump and dump but still used for the same purpose.
1028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never judge a token by it's name, Dev aren't your friend on: September 06, 2021, 03:14:51 AM
~
What I meant by that is that, have invested in a certain coin of which the coin did x5, so many of my pals didn't cash out their capital all because of the sweet words of the Dev that x5 is just the tips of an ice barge. Eventually, the coin rugged. Loss on investment for them
Ah I see. Whenever devs or any part of the core team starts speculating on the price, big baggers usually dump on them and I've heard of one admitted that.

It's alright to create some sort of hype around the project but never to make price predictions. That's a huge red flag.
1029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never judge a token by it's name, Dev aren't your friend on: September 05, 2021, 07:48:30 AM
I also heard of Cake and bought in around the same time. I thought the name sounded unprofessional too just like other food themed AMM/Yield Farm on Ethereum.

When it comes to name, there are some tokens that you really have to ignore just by its name because it's obvious that they are riding on the popularity of other projects. Back in 2017, you could see tokens like ethereum green/gold/platinum. There are many more examples but you should get what I mean.

by the way, how are dev's devs not your friend?
1030  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How do people get such high hash rates with Litecoin? on: September 05, 2021, 05:57:07 AM
I have very little idea about mining but some members from the altcoin mining board could help you. Move your topic there (see bottom left).

I suggest that you also join dedicated forums/channels for Litecoin
1031  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: September 05, 2021, 04:00:32 AM
~
but I don't expect that Thompson would be back to his old self after getting seriously injured and did not play for 2 seasons.
As long as he still has that shooting touch, he should be fine on his return to competitive basketball. He's not a flashy type of player and he doesn't need a lot of dribbles to pile up points.

~ but Gasol's experience is something.
This one too. He knows how to win big games both in the NBA and international competitions.
1032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [WARNING!] For gamblers using coins.ph on: September 05, 2021, 03:35:27 AM
~ Gambling on foreign gambling sites that has no restrictions would be a better alternative
It doesn't matter if we're gambling on platforms with strict or no restrictions because the prohibition is on the app. It's stated in their TOS that you can't use it for gambling/betting. FYI, coins.ph is a custodial platform that's licensed and monitored by our Central bank.
1033  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 05, 2021, 03:11:58 AM
Another good betting day for me. I thought Till was done in the first round but he did well surviving the ground and pound. He got careless after he landed some good shots in round 3 and choked out seconds later Grin Brunson challenging Adesanya after that but I don't think he has what it takes yet. I hope he gets the chance before he retires though. The man's 37 already.

1034  Local / Altcoins (Pilipinas) / Re: My Defi Pet - DeFi meets NFT on: September 04, 2021, 03:37:03 AM
Naglabas ng mga panibagong updates:
  • September 10 na start ng pet staking
  • By third week yung relaunch ng boss fight

^ Dpet ang reward for both events with a chance na resources makuha sa BF. Hindi na web-based ang gagawin sa BF kaya asahan na mas okay kakalabasan neto.

Mukhang push back to Q4 and cage selling at increased silver bank. Tingin ko ilalabas Marketplace by either 4th week o 1st week ng Oct. Tatapusin lang siguro BF sa Kardia.
1035  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 04, 2021, 03:25:31 AM
I've been looking at some clips of Paddy Pimblett. I'm not yet convinced about his talent but I hope he does well in his UFC debut. Although I haven't place a bet, I still pick him to win.

Jonathan Martinez missed weight by 2 lbs. You are still at preliminary card and you mess it up at the weigh ins, what a way to make an impression.

But all of a sudden, the Warriors seem to be one of the underestimated teams after their falling short for a number of seasons.
It's not all of a sudden when the Warriors have been on the decline after KD left the team. I'm not underestimating them but I really think there are at least four more teams that's better than them in the West at the moment (even with Curry and Thompson back healthy).

~
Clippers are silent and just moved players once for Eric Bledsoe. I think they are building chemistry instead of rebuilding the team which is a great idea.
I was hoping they sign Marc Gasol from Lakers. He and Kahwi had a good connection back in Toronto during their title run.
1038  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UFC Info and Prediction Thread on: September 03, 2021, 11:32:09 AM
I already placed my bet on Brunson as I couldn't resist the odds at 2.45. Interesting to see how bookies think of the duration of the fight. I guess it's expected that odds are lower for under 3.5 because these two are strikers with good finishes under their belt. I'm yet to bet on the other fights.
1039  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which game should I focus? on: September 03, 2021, 10:45:04 AM
~ I was told that I should focus on skilled-based games as there's a chance to be successful to develop my skills as a gambler.
Between the two, I agree that you should focus more on skilled-based games if consistency is what you are after because you have more control.

~
I understand you very well but no gambling should be thoight of as skilled or professional, all gamling are pure luck, that is what we should first know. About the skilled based you take about, if you are watching football very well, you can go for it, while know casinos are pure game of luck, you can still make some analyses in games like sports and if you watch more of football, then go for football, never set emotion, analyse and choose rightly.
Gambling isn't limited to sports betting and casino games. There are card games such as poker where your skills as a player is very important. There is still luck involved but this has a lot of mind games between players.

What the f**k? I didn't know the Chip Engelland was the shooting coach of Spurs. Thanks for the info mate.

For those Filipino out there, I'm sure a lot of you are posting in this thread, Chip Engelland become naturalized Filipino citizen and play for the Philippine National Team in the 80's. Damn, I'm really that old.  Grin. Chip was known to be a good shooter back in the days, I consider his shooting touch like Oscar Schmidt, another great basketball player and shooter from Brazil.
I don't really know the man and thank you as well for pointing that out. Someone who has played the sport long ago and still nurturing current players surely knows the fundamentals and how it can be effective in the modern game. I hope Ben's agent pursue this trade. He will also benefit if Ben becomes a better and more confident shooter.
