I didn't know they had those features. Anyway, it's not really that different from the more famous P2E today. They changed monsters into cards/chips for the PVP/PVE and some of the game mechanics.

Who else thinks that these kind of thing may hit mainstream sooner or later?
Maybe it will. I would definitely play this if it's not on Ethereum (or if it's available on other blockchains).
1042  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spain bans betting adds - no celebrities, no sport sponsorship, no daytime adds on: September 02, 2021, 02:47:37 AM
I was thinking the reason for the ban was for the underage kids, who are also a fan of the sports, not to see these gambling brands but that doesn't seem to be the case.
The letter adds that betting companies sponsoring teams and athletes had contributed to the ‘normalising’ of betting which has ‘serious health and social risks’. It claims that athletes' status as role models had led to an increase in gambling among young people aged 18 to 25, rising from 29 per cent to 40 per cent in the last four years. The amount of money spent by young people in Spain on gambling, meanwhile, had risen by 13 per cent annually.
^ People in this group are already of legal age which means most of them are probably aware of their actions. Not to mention that they already have a job.
1043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tether USDT Desktop Wallet on: September 02, 2021, 02:13:04 AM
^ Just an addition to the post above, you might not like Coinomi if you're a huge fan of open source wallet. It's true that it's non-custodial but it's still closed source.

What blockchain are you planning to use? If it's erc-20, I think MyCrypto Desktop is the best out there (Download) In case you're interested, the wallet's main developer (Taylor Monahan) was also the co-founder of MEW.

Critical month for MDP dahil ang daming inaasahan ngayon na ilalabas nila.

  • Gas fee refund from (failed) boss fight
  • Boss fight relaunch
  • Pet staking
  • Marketplace
  • Cage selling
  • Increase silver storage

1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Is Nobody Talking About Crypto Staking on: September 01, 2021, 07:05:37 AM
~ I have bnb and kava staked every month am sure of at least 120k without doing any work just sleep , play video games , write computer codes , go out and drink and listen when everybody will be saying am doing yahoo
Please add meet weekly posts and submit bounty reports.

I don't know if anyone else had noticed that you're a bounty hunter but most, if not all, would stop joining bounty campaigns in the forum if we're already earning six figures on passive income alone. Honestly, this sounds like a story made out of your imagination.

When it comes to staking, I also have some from different platforms but it's not generating six figures a month (like yours Grin).

Isn't coach Pop getting interested with Ben Simmons trade or he was just complimenting Ben Simmons for it? Pop said he doesn't care if he can't shoot, he's already an elite player,
I still think that Simmons should be a better shooter by now but I actually like this if it's going to happen. Coach Pop loves team plays more than individual skills/performance that's why it could be a perfect fit for both. I just don't know what Sixers want out of Spurs to agree with the trade. Like what @Reid said, it seems like SA have nothing much to offer.
1048  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ransomware, Cybercrime and Monero – Is the Bad Reputation Justified? on: August 31, 2021, 11:40:07 AM
Most cryptocurrencies are not as anonymous as some people would like them to be.
Many of the coins that were marketed or known as privacy-centric succumbed to the pressure of the regulators in an attempt for mass adoption. It's only Monero that never waivered.

There were also some tokens bragging about privacy and anonymity but they are just pure BS.

After the hack on Colonial Pipeline where attackers demanded to be paid the ransom in Bitcoin, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) could trace the transactions on Bitcoin’s blockchain.
Bitcoin is pseudonymous and it has never been anonymous.
1049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [GUIDE] ETH Gas Prices on: August 31, 2021, 11:10:04 AM
Good thread. Can you expand more on layer 2 solutions? Adding some newbie guides would be helpful. It seems they need to learn and use it more than ever Grin

Are other chains as good as they claim?
Not that I agree/disagree but the thread would probably be better if you could only focus it on Ethereum and leave other blockchains. There's a good chance this will be derailed because of comparisons.

Wonder what's the average age of this current Lakers roster, 36?  Grin
I can't wait to read news on injury from several Laker players by first half of the season Grin I'm also expecting heavy injuries on the Nets with players on similar age range.

Carmelo Anthony is the oldest at 37 years old, but I think though the average age of the entire roster is at least 30, I think they are still fit to play and they have the experience. If they are good at managing their roster, then we might not see a serious injury of this team next season.

They have a lot of veterans and the 2nd unit is a strong team, so there's no need to force the starting 5 heavy minutes just to win.
Yeah it will depend largely on the rotations. Still, their key players are old and I think they will play a lot of minutes given how competitive the league has become. Getting to the playoff spot is much harder to do now. Last season might have boosted the confidence of other teams with a younger core.

I went into livechat to ask if they are planning an internal swap/external system and the answer is no. The reason why is apparently that a swap or exchange service will conflict with the Curacao license agreement.
Well that's odd because I know of a crypto betting platform with a Curacao license that has an exchanger (Bitsler). Does this suggest that they have a different interpretation of the agreement? I'm not an expert in legalities but I'm interested to see what part of the terms is Betfury referring to that's conflicting.

I'm also curious why they have Changelly partnership if that is their reason.

~
but I withdraw these to binance and than convert these to BNB (for a small fee).
That's not the point. We could easily have a small amount in 10 or 20 cents which is close or less than the fees spent on withdrawals and converting to BNB.

~

Casinos shouldn't be acting as exchanges because some would rather skirt the withdraw requirements (e.g switch from BTC to BNB if the fees are too high).
I'm not sure what you're getting at. Betfury has implemented a bridge to allow switching from native blockchains to other blockchains (BSC, Tron, Polygon) in order to save on fees.

If they have a problem with exchanging too many coins/tokens, simply limit converting to USDT only like what I already said.

The last time I asked, they said it's not possible in order to avoid using their platform as an exchange but hope this changes soon.
Was that the official response from Betfury team? I remember this was only from other members. In any case, I doubt there will be major issues if it's converting crypto to another crypto only.

~
Withdrawals minimum are for most of the coins quite low and when withdrawing using the BSC or Polygon the fees are also acceptable.
That's true but I wouldn't bother withdrawing cryptos that are less than $1 in value. Just imagine if you have at least 5 of those, you could consolidate them into 4 USDT.

~
I don't think they will do that at all, although it will attract more players there's a possibility of abuse people will just sign up here deposit and trade their coin and withdraw, they are basically a gambling site, not a trading platform I'm ok with the current set up.
Well, how about setting some rules before players will be eligible to convert? Betfury has a ranking system and they can use that to deter such abuse. I'm pretty sure you know of other gambling platforms that are already implementing that.
1053  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gas Fee Of BNB Is Increasing on: August 30, 2021, 07:23:45 AM
~ but the fees on BSC network has certainly increased. I'm paying over a dollar for some actions or exchanges now.
Really? On what exchanges? I have been very active with BSC in the past couple of weeks but I have never spent that much in any exchange/platforms. The most expensive was probably around $0.20

Standard gas price has remained at 5 gwei while gas limit is 250K for most platforms I used (still less than $1 even if gas limit is at 500K).

Maybe you can see this
https://bscscan.com/tx/0xd346503597adbac7fd3ce51f715f13b5b2568ec91b13bb3b162018298e2ec1d2
Take a look at how many routes that transaction went through. It's only natural that whoever made that trade had to pay for such high fee.

sometimes there are tokens that are intentionally made with high gas fee.
So that means it's not on the BSC network why transactions made are so high. Apart from the devs setting up a high minimum gas limit, it's also on how the users choose the best route for swapping/trading.

I already had low expectation of Arsenal coming in to the new season but damn! Seeing them at the bottom of the table after 3 games is totally unthinkable and the slump is likely to continue Grin If they lose against Norwich at their own ground, they deserve to be relegated.

Good find there. The website is pretty neat and I hope it stays that way (no annoying ad banners). Bookmarked.

I think that nobody is doubting Chikadze after this win and he is now asking to be back up fight for title fight Volkanovski vs Ortega or fight against Max Holloway.
With the way he performed, I guess he totally deserves a fight with either of the two.

Anyone who placed a bet on Chikadze doubled his money and this was one of the best bets this weekend,
Indeed!

Anyone else wondering why the Chikadze heavy slow breathing? I can't remember anyone else doing that while the results are being announced. The time between his KO win up to the announcement should be enough to catch his breath.

1058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Cryptocurrencies on: August 29, 2021, 08:42:33 AM
Have you guys switched from one cryptocurrency to other on account of continuous loss in gambling.
I actually do this but not because I hope my luck will take a 180 turn. I just didn't want to see my balance in that particular crypto to become zero. I understand full well of the house edge and that you have a higher chance of losing the longer you play regardless of the currency you use.
1059  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can anyone tell me the true value of NFT? on: August 29, 2021, 08:09:39 AM
~ Why can a pixel image sell for 4200 ETH? Where is its value? What kind of people will buy it?
Quite strange isn't it? Some people will do anything to support (or hype) NFTs by buying them at an insane price. It seems to be working as some artists/influencers/popular figures have started selling things they can convert to NFT. Just an hour ago, I read that Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors spent $180,000 on an Ape artwork.

Anyway, I think the whole NFT market is still inflated and we can't really determine it's true value until the dust settles down.

Fights in this card are turning out pretty good so far with some great finishes too.

Nice comeback by Meerschaert and what a headkick by Abdul Razak Alhassan!

~ i am picking Daniel Rodriguez because Kevin Lee is all talk and he does not have the gas tank
I was close to placing a bet on Kevin but good thing I read @tokeweed's post. He did well in the first round but couldn't impose his game in the next two rounds.

and then in the main event i am going with Giga Chikadze
If you also placed a bet on him, we got ourselves some profit.
