801  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading using someone else's funds on: July 14, 2020, 04:19:51 PM

For example, if I currently have $10,000 and am loaned $3,000, bringing me to $13,000, could I take the percentage of the loan (23%) and multiply it by my ending balance? So,if a year later, my ending balance is $37,245, would taking 23% of this balance ($8,566) provide me with the correct amount of funds? Then take the 50/50 split profit amount ($4,283) and send it back to the loaner? Does my math seem to add up?

Think of it, your share is 76.92%, the rest is your friend's. If your ending balance is $37,245, you should get the percentage of your share, then that should be $28,648. His will be $8596. Do not cut it on half, because that was not your agreement, get the 23% from his profit. That should be $1977. He should have a total of $6619 while you get a total balance of $30,625.
802  Local / Pilipinas / Re: The Anti-Terrorism Act and Why Non-Custodial Wallets Will Be Important on: July 14, 2020, 02:26:53 PM

And besides, if my alarm, just comply with the requirements.
803  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin ang future shitcoin ayon Kay Mcafee on: July 14, 2020, 01:36:51 PM
804  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Businesses in Manila accepting crypto as payment (hotels groceries, cars, houses on: July 14, 2020, 12:55:03 PM
Sa ibang halos lahat ng store dun specially Japan they accepting ecurrency... well usually mga coffee shop or botique ang kadalasan tumatanggap ng bitcoin pero sure ako sa 7 eleven tumatanggap sila Wink
Ngayon ko lang nalaman na tumatanggap pala sia ng bitcoin as mode of payment. Curious ako kaya nagsearch ako sa google. I found out na tumatanggap pala sila through their Cliqq app, pero para lang yon sa bills payment, hindi sa normal na transactions na nagaganap sa 7/11 gaya ng pagbili ng chichirya or what.

I have heard about Abra app and the opportunity it brings to Cryptocurrency enthusiasts around the world. Do you know if that is a Filipino owned company? I would consider that a business that uses crypto as mode of payment.
Yon, it just happened na nacurious ako tas sinearch ko yung tungkol sa 7/11 na nag aaccept ng payment trough crypto. Pede pala tayo bumili dun gamit yung cliqq, tas pangbayad natin is yung wallet na Abra na sinabi mo sir.
805  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need Help. bitcoin confirmed but recipient not received on: July 13, 2020, 02:02:26 PM
This has been going on for a week now. I have sent some bitcoin to a cloud mining company about a week ago. I have checked on blockchain explorer and it is confirmed. I have also checked the address a billion times and it is correct. I spoke with my wallet company to understand and make sure everything on their end is good. The company is saying the did see the transaction leave the blockchain but it didn't make it to their wallet and the transaction will be reversed back to my wallet. Does this sound right? If so how long does this usually take? They say they can't do anything as it up to the blockchain. Like said its been a week. I know things happen. Is my bitcoin gone? Thanks for the help.
They probably held your transaction. Most of the cloud mining companies that are running these days are just pure scam. Did you ever atleast checked their background before continuing to mine there? You should alwas do that first! Lots of scam schemes are running. Extend effort and don't be lazy so your time won't be wasted next time. Have you invested there? I guess so though.
806  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: While using bitcoin there should be privacy on: July 13, 2020, 01:33:44 PM

2. Is it possible hackers can become a thief as technology is advancing or even now, know your custodial wallet or exchange and use the custodial wallet or exchange to know who exactly you are, come to your house one day just to come and forcefully steal your bitcoin? To me it is possible and I will always like privacy.
Sadly, if you happen to give your personal information in the internet, and specifically if you passed your kyc to a custodial wallet, if that wallet was hacked, then, any information that is stored there are already theirs. If that happened, since your info is there, then they will know who you are. I just do not know why they will go to your house, but they can, if they would like to. But that will be a bad move for them, so they will not think of that. Be more careful to your passwords. Do not access funds on public Wi-Fis.
807  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Vlogs on how to earn in Bitcointalk on: July 13, 2020, 12:54:46 PM
Hi guys! Sharing with you how my brother earned from bitcointalk.
808  Local / Pilipinas / Re: More online stores, less tax generated on: July 13, 2020, 12:19:03 PM
809  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bitcoin's price, at ang ating mental health. on: July 13, 2020, 11:47:40 AM
810  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Panahon Na Nga Ba Maging "Cashless Society" ang Pilipinas? on: July 13, 2020, 11:16:29 AM

Medyo advance pa kasi yung na-iisip mo when it comes to being a "cashless society" in the Pilipinas if you think about it if madami pa ang hindi gumagamit ng GCash or PayMaya what more pa kaya ang mga cryptocurrencies sa Pilipinas? It would be better if the companies and the government ay dapat muna mag focus like I said several times already in making the country more develop kasi yung technology like digital payments will be coming along with the modernization of the country kasi dito na kusa mag ma-migrate yung mga tao or makakapag-adapt sa magiging surroundings nila in the future.

813  Other / Meta / Re: Hide reported posts? on: July 12, 2020, 03:56:06 AM
Not sure how I'd enact this but could we have a system whereby if a topic is made by a newbie who intends to scam or something and it's reported can it be hidden from all members who aren't full members (it could also require a reporter to have earnt more than a certain merit threshold or have a certain % accuracy ie 80% or above).
.......
It also gives an incentive for non mods to scour the patrol page for anything worthy of deletion.
.......

This is a bad idea as giving non-moderator an incentive would simply boost rank abuse and disparagements. You are simply saying that there must be rank separation whereas higher ranks could have a much more power in the forum while those newbie whom are trying to learn something out of this forum can have less. Reporting and posting a thread with valid evidences in reputation is enough as long as the report were accurate. Also, it is not the forum's fault whenever there were people whom still bites on a scam, there are board particularly for accusations, it only depends on the user's initiative.
814  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Haven't tried Lightning? Check out Phoenix Wallet on: July 11, 2020, 03:15:05 PM

I suggest checking it out. Unfortunately, as of now hindi supported ang iOS devices: https://phoenix.acinq.co/
FAQ: https://phoenix.acinq.co/faq

So, I've tried it and registered na din and nakakaamaze kasi akala ko nung una pag ganitong mga wallet need ng KYC and ETC pero simpleng Send and Receive lang pala ang feature niya hence you still need to have your main wallet such as Coins.ph. But still sobrang baba din talaga ng fees ng wallet na ito, imagine they only need 0.10% of each transaction, in which if ever you would receive or send 10,000 pesos, ang fee mo lang is 10 pesos (sampung piso)! From now on I'm gonna use this of course hindi lang dahil sa mabilis siya (itatry ko palang), but also para na din sa security which is also one of the Phoenix Wallet features (naka anonymous ka na kasi nakaconnect sa server nila and sa TOR and you can set up pins and fingerprint sa app).

Thanks for recommending this, mk4! Will surely be fond of this.
815  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Varsity App for learning Stock Trading on: July 11, 2020, 12:45:36 PM
Hello guys!

Disclaimer: Hindi po ito isang endorsement. I just wanna share yung app na nirecommend sakin ng isang kaibigan which is for learning stock trading.

So recently I'm starting to get interested sa Stock Trading and I don't know how and where to start. I've tried joining Facebook groups na may kinalaman sa mga Financial eme eme and of course sa Trading in general (even the groups of traders na gumagamit ng famous trading platforms such as COL Financial). And someone had told me to check out the Varsity app on Play Store.

Now, what does it feature?
Well simply, it has most of lessons na pwedeng matutunan ng isang newbie. Take this as an app na merong free course about Stock Market and Trading Strategies. Meron din itong mga articles na naglalaman ng news (International markets nga lang hindi yung about sa PSE Philippine Stock Exchange), and even readings sa kung paano ang tamang Psychological Mindset ng isang trader - from risk management to a simple handling of loss. But what makes this the best app for learning Stock Trading is that it is Modular, meaning na pwede mong balik balikan yung lessons na nalilimutan mo and ipagpatuloy yung mga lessons na hindi mo pa natatapos. And it's totally free!

You can also take certifications in the app pero sadly, may bayad siya, 'di ko pa natatry (kasi di ko pa din naman tapos Grin) but I think it's worth to take lalo na't hindi naman ganoon kabusy tayong lahat this quarantine.

Here's the screenshot ng application:

The screenshot is taken from my other device hehe kaya 0% padin  Grin

I hope this would help you guys lalo na sa mga interested din sa trading!

You can as well suggest topics I can cover time to time. I will be dedicating 3 weeks for the campaign. I hope to update the forum about the development too.

I think you should consider Blockchain technology to be part of your lessons. Show them how blocks work and how Bitcoin and crypto were connected with it. It was a really broad and vast topic to be discussed in three weeks yet if you could really explain it well, it would only take days to make them understand it. BTW, would you tell us what topics have you already written in your plan and what are the scopes of your lessons? There are things in crypto that are complex that you might find a difficulty to teach them soon.

Please don't teach them that Bitcoin can be their source of income, soon they might struggle with such ideology.

818  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: WhitePaper Plagiarism Cases on: July 02, 2020, 01:19:32 PM
~

It's really hard to believe you accusations as you aren't indicating in the OP your explicit reasons in such a way that Coolcryptovator have suggested. Also, making us redirect on an external link, despite the link's legitimacy (dropbox), wouldn't really be a good effect as most here in forum are aware with the security vulnerabilities upon clicking any links. But in my investigation and making the connection to your post, I think you accusation would fail. First of all you need to have a good and reliable thread, then how strong was you accusation was.

The user you've been accusing (erc20casino) is seemingly focused in his promotion and some of replies in his posts seems to be supporting your accusation. Here's another user accusing:
This morning this message was posted in the Telegram group.
If someone have some more information, please share it to that user.

To win the argument, just edit this thread containing explicit proofs.

Even I myself would support if you had a strong accusation
819  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Litecoin miner [ltcminer.com] - PONZI SCHEME on: July 01, 2020, 01:30:40 PM
Though the website was made with Cloudflare security and a Commercial domain, the most suspicious thing here is their IP's geolocation.  Why? Basically I've tried tracking their Domain with IP checker and found it's domain IP was 104.31.67.81, while it's geolocation were linked in nowhere.
https://imgur.com/F7935gM.png | (can't upload due to proxy rofl)

If a legitimate online miner (which is intensely rare) would be operating, it would have a legitimate office and a real location.

I don't think its just only a ponzi "OP". Most probably this guy have their own money printing machine by which they will print uncountable dollars for their premium users (10 LTC per day]. I can't remember exactly but i have visited same domain like this in the past and if i am not wrong then their frontend design was different. At that time they were selling "mining machines" with a good discount to attract miners. Most interesting thing is their office address which is one of the common address in google.

By the way, scammers never get tired to implement new scam plans and this project is a good example. Good news is that they haven’t plant their trap on bitcointalk yet.

Indeed, but I think this is just a trash website indicating such ridiculous offers. Imprinting fake moneys are normal especially on online scams (more on Facebooks and other social media) but which are still getting other people fooled. There is really indeed no such thing as Cloud Mining due to these scammers.. and the better thing here being a user in the forum is that from time to time we are aware with such schemes and suspicious offers.
820  Other / Meta / Re: The curious case of the forum member distrusting Satoshi on: June 28, 2020, 06:23:28 AM
--
What would happen to BTC if he simply went to block 10 and moved it? Followed by block 11 and just moved  about 10 blocks a day for a few months in a row.
--

Yet I don't see any use if he would dump the Bitcoin's price. Satoshi's wealth is already big enough, whether he's a single person or a mnemonic of a company/group. But one thing is for sure - that he already made a currency that turns other's financial instability into a wealth with certainty. It is indeed alarming to entrust your money onto a single and still anonymous user, yet how did we end up here? The world is slowly adopting the cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin, hence I don't see any necessary distrust and the good side still out-stand the negatives. UNLESS THIS IS REAL:
Satoshi is the US government, and we are all stupid to not believe otherwise, and who trusts the government

~

LOL I don't see this numerous nor anything related to the OP, doesn't even make sense and just a pure troll. We Filipinos here in the forum always separates our Political beliefs and how we interact in here. We've seen too many irrational wars on social media pertaining to the Political and Social issues of the country, please stop spreading the non-sense portrayals of someone I think you've hated so much. Not an avid fan nor a support of the government, but just a realistic user of the forum.
