801  Economy / Economics / Re: Comparison between the wallet Balance of BANKS vs CRYPTO EXCHANGES on: February 22, 2019, 03:52:34 PM
Banks will never be using a normal decentralized cryptocurrency, they won't be able to do fractional lending like they can with USD.  Banks hold less than 10% of their total balance sheet and one day this whole system will be exposed and come crashing down.
802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP competing places with ETH? on: February 21, 2019, 03:55:31 PM
Ethereum is by far a better crypto than xrp.  Eth has many more users and has much higher daily trading volume.

Xrp has a revoke function which means it is centralized as well, this is often referred to as the banker's coin.
803  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: BitCrack - A tool for brute-forcing private keys on: February 21, 2019, 03:41:25 PM
I have read thru a lot of the pages and I have said it before and will say it again -  I am confused as to what the goal is here? Is it just to find the addresses? or is the actual attempt here to find a way to take btc from a wallet?

It is a tremendous waste of power and time spent unless you have a partial key or some other known parameters about the key.  Obviously if cracking truly random keys was even remotely possible bitcoin would be worthless.
804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 21, 2019, 03:36:25 PM
The only time I was really addicted to anything was video games.  It used to be a really bad habit and took a great toll on my health as I barely slept. Luckily I haven't had the same affliction with gambling and I'm able to do it in moderation without any problems.
805  Economy / Speculation / Re: Technical analysis is a another form of manipulation. Here is everything I know, on: February 21, 2019, 03:27:56 PM
You can call every investment a pyramid/ ponzi scheme.  The ones that get in early make tons of money while new investors often lose money and buy near the peak.  Bitcoin is still looking good compared to the overpriced stock market and the overpriced real estate market.
806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Panic selling and postpone from trading, which one is the worse one? on: February 20, 2019, 07:09:52 PM
Holding is always the best option, everything will experience price drips on the way up.  Panic sellers are the emotional type that can't stomach price drops so they act foolish and sell off only to watch the price rise up after they sell.
807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 20, 2019, 07:02:25 PM
Yeah, injuries can destroy a career, look at derrick rose he is the biggest example of it, dude could have been the westbrook of his time and helped his team to playoffs with a big regular season and could had his team go for championship all by himself, he was that good.

Now, he is just a has been. Kobe had an amazing career, dude has 5 championships and played his best basketball when he was in his thirty+ years old. Got injured "early" (still 34 or so) and stopped playing, dude could still play today and be a force but he lost all his love for the game after 3 years of nothingness.

Kobe could have given at least 3 years of great performance if he wasn't injured and probably more. Basically, if Ante is healthy he can be a Lebron James, if he gets injured it would be another Derrick Rose story, however even if he gets injured late into his career he wouldn't be a Lebron, he would at best be a Kobe.

Kobe is one of the most overrated players, he was a ballhog that shot a low fg%.  Shaq carried him to his first 3 rings and Pau Gasol was the better player in the other 2 finals.

I would take Shaq, Duncan, KG, Lebron, Wade, Dirk, on my team over kobe.
808  Other / Meta / Re: How can we protect Newbies from getting scammed? on: February 20, 2019, 06:56:06 PM
"theres a sucker born every minute"

There is only so much you can do to help, its just the world we live in.  People will always fall for scams.  Real world obviously is full of examples:

Herbalife scammed billions
Car dealerships scamming everyone
Bernie madoff was able to dupe intelligent and wealthy people

809  Economy / Speculation / Re: A chance for Bitcoin to rise! on: February 20, 2019, 06:50:07 PM
There is still a chance that the price of bitcoin will rise again so we need to hold our bitcoin and keep on hoping and praying that somewhere in this year the price of bitcoin will rise. Maybe we need to wait more time but we should not lose our hope and support in bitcoin because only our support will help to rise the price of bitcoin in market.

It's so easy for people to repeatedly say lets just keep the faith but not everyone is financially capable of holding their money for a long time. Some people that sold at a loss had no other choice but to sell since they'd probably need their capital, or what's left of it, back. Bitcoin will eventually get back up but only those who took time to understand the market will likely benefit from it.

Ya, not everyone can just continually hold while they have bills to pay.  The thing is once you are a millionaire the extra money doesn't really matter and at that points life is like a video game score and the money represents points.
810  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: why many traders(including me) not getting success on: February 17, 2019, 05:24:27 PM
Most people won't get far and they will end up losing more to exchange fees anyways.  Your better off spending your time starting a business or learning other skills that are more uesful.  Afterall trading is just a zero sum game in the end so in order for you to win someone else must lose.
811  Other / Meta / Re: How can we take Bitcoin Talk back into the Bitcoin community? on: February 17, 2019, 05:20:23 PM
I prefer the old look of bitcointalk and I don't think it is an issue.  Craigslist still has the same layout from years ago and looks like something out of the 1990s, yet it is still one of the most visited websites on the internet for commerce.
812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Pre-Season on: February 17, 2019, 05:17:20 PM
The slam dunk contest was so boring and unimaginative.  There aren't many dunks we haven't seen before and we didn't have any good participants this year.  I miss the contests with Nate Robinson, he could really put on a show for the fans.
813  Economy / Economics / Re: On evolution of prices on: February 17, 2019, 05:12:54 PM
You can make money in any market, it doesn't matter.  If anyone of you really think bitcoin will never hit 20k levels again you are welcome to short the market anytime you want and even use leverage if you want bigger profits.
814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Cryptocurrency One Big Ponzi Scheme? on: February 17, 2019, 05:05:24 PM
You can say the same thing about real estate and the stock market as well.  Governments continually pump out fiat money to pump up the markets, eventually everything will come crashing down and other assets like gold and bitcoin will become supreme.
815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling - Eating your Brain and Money on: February 17, 2019, 04:46:40 PM
Your $3000 really isn't that much, I know people that have lost millions on gambling.  A regular casino wouldn't even bat an eye at those type of small amounts.  Gambling should be looked at as entertainment, you may get lucky but over the long run the casino will win.
816  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: February 17, 2019, 04:43:31 PM
The only thing that really extends life a significant amount is fasting.  You can take any living creature and restrict the amount of calories it intakes and it will live much longer.
817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Make things possible on: February 17, 2019, 04:39:40 PM
Good for you on spending your money and enjoying life.  Some people lose sight of what is important, we are all going to die eventually and money serves no purpose if it just sits in a bank account doing nothing.  Glad you had a good time.
818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the end near for ripple ? on: February 16, 2019, 02:41:08 PM
No not yet because there are lot of people who believes in ripple and investing in it and more over the team of ripple is excellent so there is no end for ripple.

People just shill whatever coin they are holding.  XRP has a lot of bagholders so a lot of people shill for it.  Personally, I wouldn't buy any xrp because it is a centralized bankers' coin.  Still wouldn't surprise me if it goes through more pump and dumps though.  There is profit to be made even on the shittiest shitcoins.
819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understand addiction! on: February 16, 2019, 02:23:00 PM
Gambling is really a heavy addiction and it can't be cured as easily as non-gamblers think. It is even more severe than cigarettes or alcohol, and needs a very good tratment. All of those advices and tips that are mentioned above are good and everything, but people mainly need great will and character to stop gambling.

Maybe I'm just lucky but I never had an addiction to gambling myself.  I think quitting drugs is much more difficult because it has a stronger physical effect on your body.  I still think people should be more concerned with themselves and not dictate others on how to live their lives.
820  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to sell Bitcoin in my own website with credit cards on: February 16, 2019, 02:11:44 PM
Its too risky, you will be met with a barrage of scammers using stolen credit cards and claiming chargebacks against you.  If you do plan on doing this charge large fees to cover these losses and make sure everyone does a KYC.
