821  Economy / Speculation / Re: 232 days before bitcoin block reward halving on: December 04, 2015, 10:23:05 AM
Do people realize that block reward halving was something intended? It was created for a reason, if it was bad it wouldn't have been made. What happened to litecoin when the block reward was halved? Nothing, really abolutely nothing.
822  Other / Meta / Re: creating signatures on: December 04, 2015, 10:17:53 AM
Why not just use bitcointalk? Put in your code, and submit it and check one of your previous posts and take a look at the signature. Because you still have to watch the character limit and the 42px height limit.

Yeah, that would require to know the code already, he is not asking where he can test it but rather where to learn to do it, it's not easy, I tried it for myself here and it ended up being shit, you need to know all the parameters.
823  Other / Meta / Re: Selling accounts on this forum is correct or not on: December 04, 2015, 08:10:43 AM
A common theme among the people who are voicing their opinion against the sale of forum accounts is that the sale of accounts leads to scams. I would however question that conclusion and ask how many scams (both as a percentage of account sales and as a percentage of forum scams) are from sold accounts and how many of those were made possible (or at least aided) by the fact that it was a sold account. I would believe for that number to actually be quite low and in the grand scheme of things, allowing the sale of accounts probably actually decreases overall scamming activity because it gives people who are desperate for money one additional way to get money that does not involve stealing from others.

Of course you are going to defend it but you were selling DT accounts too as far as I know, would you say those accounts can't be used to scam? How do you know? A lot of proven scammers just buy another account to keep scamming, is not like people who are desperate for money would buy accounts to scam.
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is their any safe methods to gamble? on: December 04, 2015, 08:06:39 AM
Gambling itself is a risk so if you want to play safe then just stay away from it. There is a high chance that you can win profit from it but a higher chance that you can also loose all your bets so think it over before betting on any type of gambling. Just remember to risk what you can afford to loose.

''if you want to play safe then just stay away from it'' How is he supposed to play safe if he has to stay away from it, you are contradicting yourself. He is asking for ways to gamble in the safest way, he knows there is no risk if you don't play. I doubt he needed that advice.

My main accounts are:

MRKLYE
Hariom
Quickseller
Lauda
Spoetnik
TheGr33k
catch.me.if.you.can
codishmumu
fabiola!
faygo
tarsua
Lutpin

Obviously this is a lie.  You are a liar and therefore untrustworthy.

I was wondering how much it would take for him to get a negative trust from someone on DT, I guess this answers it.
826  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question about Valid Collateral on: December 04, 2015, 08:00:54 AM
the best collateral would be an account, it's easy to transfer the ownership and can be sold quite easily as well, but for 5 btc you need something like legendary with trust or hero with many trust

The best collateral would be an altcoin. I have seen plenty of loan requests using domains as a collateral and most of them are not accepted because the user is offering a shitty domain, if you can prove your site is worth 5btc or more then I'm sure someone will. Why do you need the 5 bitcoins in the first place?

not my site, but my account, i've made 20 btc with this account, so yes it's worth much more than a mere 1 btc

and no, altcoin ar enot a valid collateral they depreciate very easily, and a very unstable, i would not take any altcoin as a collateral not even litecoin

instead an hero account is still worth at least 0.5 even today

Your personal opinion doesn't matter man, stable altcoins are considered as the best form of collateral, you would need to use 110-120% of the value of the loan but anyone would accept altcoins before btc accounts or other type of digital goods, inform yourself better please.
827  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin goes to 1200-1300 (within a month?) on: December 03, 2015, 11:18:11 AM
It'll never reach $1000 until the next halving starts on July, 2016. Now, it'll merely stuck between $400 to $450.

no one said that the increase must happen the exact same day of the halving, it will certainly appear before it, expect the impact of the halving, to enter in play around march-april already
It is reasonable to expect the impact of halving at the early spring next year. How much would it be? That is the open question. I think it may be played by the speculators, yet I do not expect to surpass the $1k mark before halving, not mention the ath. For that to be achieved we need some fundamental development around which the next mania-phase can be built. Potentially there are plenty of such events in the Bitcoin calendar for 2016.

Take a look at litecoin, the halving did not affect it at all, actually the price even went down before the halving and afterwards the price was stable, went up when bitcoin went up and now down again, nothing significant happened and litecoin is one of the most popular altcoins. I guess bitcoin can experience some sort of price increase but I doubt it would be significative.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Spanish League Prediction Thread (La Liga) on: December 03, 2015, 11:16:22 AM
I only pick 2 matches for Copa del Rey. They are both over 2.5 goals and I trust them both.

Linense - Athletic Club - over 2.5 goals
Huesca - Villarreal - over 2.5 goals

The first one is very possible because linense is not a very strong team and athletico club can definitely destroy them, the second one might be a little bit harder, still possible. I'd rather bet on villareal to win.
829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Investments on: December 03, 2015, 11:14:20 AM
In my opinion, best investment for bitcoin is Cloud Mining..

Most cloud mining services turn out to be ponzi schemes, It's honestly not a very good idea to use cloud mining when there are other better options out there.

the main problem i can see with them, is that you need to trade to reach roi, you need to sell at some point your miner, so in the end it's not a cloud mining anymore

it's more like trading with hash instead with coins, therefore if you're not a good traders it's better to avoid

Hmm I didn't know that, I personally never invested in any cloud mining service, I know there are legit ones but I was never interested because it seemed risky as fuck. I thought you only had to buy hash power for bitcoins in order to gain more bitcoins.
830  Economy / Gambling / Re: DaDice.com - Next Gen Social Gambling Dice Experience | Progressive Jackpot on: December 03, 2015, 08:44:26 AM
So were the early doubters right then, did people lose money here, the investors? What happened, they just closed & took investors money?

probably, since no one posted here to verify atleast one person got his investment back from the site and it looks like the site is really lying to its users, the most recent one is the transfer of new ownership Wink

It was kind of obvious that something like this would happen the moment they didn't want to prove they had the money they said they had. It was super shady, there was no reason not to prove it and they came here with a bunch of stupid excuses. People only played there because they were getting paid for the singature campaign.
831  Economy / Economics / Re: Doing an essay on Bitcoin, need ideas on: December 03, 2015, 08:39:41 AM
How can topic about Bitcoin be way to narrow? I don't get it. You can write about the blockchain technology in essence. You can write about its decentralized nature and why is it important for the world -snip-.

I gave you just some pointers, there is really so many things to write about out there. Just use your imagination and research.
I want a specific question as to which I will do my research on, most of your point here is related to Economics while I'm doing a Comp. Sc. related essay.

Ok, I see, my bad! Here is a possible good one. Possible influence of quantum computers on Bitcoin in the future. Is Bitcoin secure if quantum computers do show up?
Hmm, that and the earlier idea combined might just be it. Thanks for the contribution

If something like quantum computers do in fact get invented, not only bitcoin but pretty much everything that is online now would not be secure. As far as I know normal currencies use some kind of SHA encryption too.

833  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: How to make btc faster throug mining? on: December 03, 2015, 08:31:35 AM

let's suppose you buy rooms from a big house.
you will get profit if the rooms are lent.
so long the rooms are not bought you only make dividend.
If rooms are bought (and so sold) you get cash for the selling...
this is not a ponzi sheme...definitively not a ponzi sheme
it this is fior you a ponzi shemz then you have understand nothing...(lol)
so is my u2 system
Do not buy if you think that your shares will never be sold...or if you think that the profit will be too low and you will make lost.
You have the choice to buy or not...
claim only for free or do nothing...
but do not tell non-sense.

where is the dividend coming from when the rooms are not lent out and not sold?

then no dividend...of course.
it is same with my system
it is not a ponzi where you earn ever till collapsing.
my system is economical realistic.
you buy shares and you get money when the site makes money.

You can trust the system or not.
But you can not say it is a ponzi or i'm a scammer.

Then answer the simple question many people have asked.  When does the site make money?

But it does.
the investors have already get dividends.
Ok for the free claimers it is yet a little short.

How much?
For a site so much under attack on this forum I believe that it is not bad (lol)
How much croncretly?
I have given info here...you can find them if you are interested in it and not only to hurt me (lol)
The rule known is to claim for free or to buy...it is same at poker...if you want see you have to pay (lol)
Go on the site...
Claim ...for free
and then you follow on your account.
If all is said here i will not be paid (lol) (lol)

Don't listen to this guy, he is a scammer using a ponzi scheme for his site. Cloud mining is extremely dangerous, most of them are scams. Just buy better mining equipment and mine for yourself, these mining companies are full of scams you can't be sure about them anymore.
834  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic model behind Bitcoin is flawed on: December 03, 2015, 08:26:53 AM
Alright so here's the thing with the maximum value of Bitcoin that I've been mulling over;

Say we reach a point where each Satoshi is worth $10, why would we not simple end up buying more things in bulk? If a pack of gum costs $1 or $2 now, why not buy 5/10 of them? Chances are you'll use more in the future, and it just prevents you from having to run out to get more. Would this not also encourage higher-quality products since it would be borderline impossible to purchase anything for <$10?

IF we ever reach the point that one satoshi equals 10$ we would simply add more decimal places.
so it would still be possible to spend 1cent

Let's be honest, that's pretty much impossible. In the future if bitcoin becomes a currency that everyone uses I'm sure people won't compare bitcoin to dollars anymore, like we do with euros. When I go to the shop I'm not comparing euros with dollars like, hey this is 5 euros, before I spend them, let me see how many dollars that is.
835  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it better to save money or invest it? on: December 03, 2015, 08:23:33 AM
Why would you save money in the first place, isn't it to invest it later? You should always have some money saved in case of a real life emergency, other than that there is not much point in saving money. You might think saving money until you have enough to buy a car, for example, would be a good idea but it's not. Cars, houses, those are not investments, you don't profit from them, you are saving 10k basically just to spend them for a car that would require to spend more money.
836  Other / Meta / Re: I am so over this petty drama. on: December 02, 2015, 11:52:00 PM
This is a forum afterall and people can talk about other people even if it's to prove they are scammers, spammers or they contradict themselves but if you feel someone is actually not doing that but instead just being annoying and trolling you can report it to the moderators, trolling is not allowed here so go ahead and report him.
He's not trolling.

He's just being controversial.

So, what's the big deal then? We should ban freedom of speech? Who are you Hitler?
No. I just want to keep the discussion of other users on their trust rank page. We don't need to start campaigning against other users.

Respectfully, I can decide for myself if I want to associate myself with another person.

Talking about others will just create unprofessional drama such as people feeling offended or people getting into fights. I just can't take it anymore. And then people want to question why sites like this are the laughing stock of the entire internet. Bitcoin doesn't have that many chances of survival, so we're going to have to come together as a family and work hard to fight for our currency and our overall reputation. We can't do that if we're diligently trying to tear each other's reputations down inside of Bitcoin.

I don't understand. Just come together instead of fighting each other.

So if you are not against freedom of speech you can lock this thread.

So if OP is not against freedom of speech....that means OP will lock the thread so that he...can keep people from speaking their mind.....?

Lauda, is that you?

''should we stop discussing other users publicly, and limit the discussion to just their trust rank page?'' Now he says he is not against freedom of speech, he should lock the thread otherwise he is contradicting himself. By the way, trolling, like you do is baneable in this forum, be careful.

837  Other / Meta / Re: Should Fwdxwlsh Be Banned? on: December 02, 2015, 11:23:34 PM
Yes, he should. Imagine his posts were posted by someone wearing the yobit signature, let's be honest, he would have been banned a long time ago but because he is not seems like you can post anything and not get banned.
838  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Satoshimines.com Review on: December 02, 2015, 02:09:39 PM
This game is absolute BS .As a experienced gambler ,they don't have any sources to show the fairness of the game.I have said this before and will say it again.Don't expect much profits out of this game unless you're playing with some small bits which will takes like 10 years to make 1 BTC.I have lost 0.15 BTC in a row playing with that 24* box where in a line I played around 100 games but never hit an empty spot.I'm sure my luck won't be that bad .

They do have tho. ''How is Satoshi Mines Provably Fair?

This game uses “game hashes” to prove itself. If you've played provably fair games online before, Satoshi Mines' method will be familiar to you.

What are the game hashes?

Game hashes are how Satoshi Mines proves that each game's mine tiles are chosen when the game is created and are not tampered with. Hashes thus prove to the player that the game is fair.

When a new round is started, three of the twenty-five tiles are chosen as mines. The three tiles (represented as numbers from 1 to 25,) coupled with a random string generated by the server are hashed using SHA256. The result of the hash function is shown to you before you make your first tile choice.

Validating the fairness

After a game has been completed, the "three-number+random string" secret will be revealed. It is at this point you may validate that the SHA256 hash of the secret matches the hash that has been shown since the beginning of the round.

Online SHA256 Lookup (unaffiliated)''

You can read that in their FAQ, it's basically how you can verify the fairness of the site, if you don't know exactly what it means you can search for a tutorial here or on google, there are plenty but basically it's impossible for them to cheat without you noticing.
839  Other / Meta / Re: Ignore feature needs enhancements. on: December 02, 2015, 01:29:37 PM
Well I have the right to choose what I can and cannot see.

Yes, and that's what ignore and self-mod is for.

I don't want to see certain people in my threads.

Then self-mod them and deal with it because that's the only way you'll get them to stop.

If certain people have a problem with me, it wouldn't make sense to click on my threads and upset themselves even more. That's completely unnecessary

In your opinion. Just because someone might have a problem with you doesn't mean they can't respond to one of your threads nor will will they likely get upset by doing so but that's up to them to decide.

I don't have time to kill just having unnecessary arguments with certain members.

Then don't reply or respond. Nobody is forcing you to.

The self moderating tag is quite tedious. It would just be easy to block someone from my threads and just be done with it. As I said, I would happily do the coding for the option.

We have tension, but I see you've become more civil as a global moderator and I appreciate it. I respect that you're trying to give me advice, but at this moment in time I'm in no position to really speak to you at the moment. I hope you understand.

Thank you.

Do you not understand? You can't force someone not to see your posts besides even if you did, they would still be able to do it with another account. The self moderated threads are not tedious at all, just create one and that's it and if someone hurts your feelings you can delete their post if you are so sensitive.

Seems like a good review, are you planning on making more or where is this coming from? You could also add some points like: Interface 7/10 Odds 9/10 Provably fair: Yes/No Automatic betting: Yes/No. You could make a site for your reviews. I myself wanted to make one but never got into it.
