821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motivated by "breaking the code" on: August 12, 2021, 09:00:19 AM

I personally do not play slots, but do you think that is why people like slot machines? Short of breaking their code?

I rarely play slots but on those times that I played slots I rarely win that is why I don't consider playing it often, your friend is just frustrated and he is putting his frustration on the slot that is why he says he is breaking the code which is really impossible to do because the house edge control the situation and he is just waiting for his turn to win based on the algorithm.
822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anderson Silva vs Tito Ortiz on September 11 on: August 12, 2021, 08:44:49 AM
Contracts have been signed for Anderson Silva to box with Tito Ortiz in the co-main event of the Oscar De La Hoya vs. Vitor Belfort card on September 11, and it is organized by Triller.
Both of them are well known MMA fighters active until recently in UFC, one of the best known MMA organizations, so it will be interesting fight to watch.
Andreson Silva is 46 years with 34-11-0 MMA record, and Tito Ortiz is also 46 years old with record 21-12-1.

https://twitter.com/espnmma/status/1425542314773069824

Silva has just beaten Julio Cezar Chavez Jr. and Chavez Jr. is not an easy opponent he is a ranked boxer, and because of this we can consider Silva as a favorite against Ortiz, Ortiz is a good MMA fighter but I don't know about his boxing skills, boxing and MMA are totally different skills, on boxing you must know how to pace yourself because it's a long fight and the impact of the punch is not that hard compared to globes used in MMA.
823  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do any casinos offer cryptocurrency staking? on: August 12, 2021, 05:25:28 AM
There's a thread for this that's made, I think that there's a lot of website that offers their own token as a staking token. You might be able to find the thread already. In case you want to check it out, I will give you the link to it if you have a hard time finding it.

Here's the link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5353217.0

Of all the known casino staking coin, Betfury leads the pack, imagine for $20 worth of their token that you can buy on Biswap you can earn over 60 sats Ethereum, Binance UST, and Tron, it's better than Faucets and it's a great residual income, you'll get various coins with values and the value of BFG token slowly going up,
824  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 12, 2021, 05:16:19 AM
This thread title should be changed or lock this thread and create another thread for Pacquiao and Ugas since it's already official that the Pacquiao - Spence will not push through anymore, Pacquiao used to be the underdog but now he is the heavy favorite to win the fight, I'm not saying it's going to be an easy fight for Manny but Ugas is not on Spence level.
825  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where to seek help if you need; concerned with gambling addiction. on: August 12, 2021, 01:14:38 AM
Beginner's luck is really a curse, huh.

You should NEVER, ever treat gambling as a way to get rich quick. If that was the case, then wouldn't everyone be billionaires by now and casinos would all be broke? Once you truly realise that there will be no prospect of addiction.

The casino that you play on operates a game that is mathematically skewed towards their favour and there is nothing that you can do to possibly change that. If you want a long term way to "gamble" with positive EV, either look into arbitrage betting, or invest in the bankroll of a casino.

Fortunately for me, I have a bad start in gambling and realize early that gambling should not be treated as a cash cow and should only play with spare money or money that you can afford to lose, beginner's luck are the easiest way to deceive yourself that you are born with gambler's luck until you realize that it's not but you are too late to find this out, it's better to read information and all sides of it, on gambler's perspective and the casinos before starting to play if you are a newbie.
826  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Can We Expect Gambling on Axie Infinity? on: August 11, 2021, 08:03:11 PM
Axie Infinity in its essence is already gambling because you are investing money on it by buying pets and you will depend on their rewards called SLP to regain your investment which is not guaranteed because the market is the one that will set the price and you also need to finish the task to get your rewards when there is money and task involved it's already gambling, and there's a possibility of a drop of the price if the market cannot sustain it, or when there are massive sells.
827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Online gambling becomes popular on: August 11, 2021, 01:24:49 PM
The world is in pandemic and everyone is encouraged to stay home, you can watch TV, movies but gaming and online gambling is something that can excite you, so it's become something that you spend time while the world is in a pandemic, and many gamblers are also recommending online gambling to their friends to spend their boring hours at home.
828  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: August 11, 2021, 12:02:13 AM
There is a tweet of Spence that he canceled the fight. This isn't confirmed yet but there is a facebook viral post about this game being canceled already. But I guess he chicken out his biggest fight here. This is a very big fight of his life where he can make a lot of money. I have no idea about what happened but the coins I allocate for this fight will be used somewhere else which is good in a way.

A retinal tear is a very serious injury and he had no choice but to pull out of the fight.

Depending on what happens with Pacquiao's political career this could be the final fight of his career. Ugas is an underrated fighter but I don't think he has what it takes to beat Pacquiao so I see Manny regaining his title. It would be great for him to retire as champion. The silver lining of this situation is that we will probably get to see Spence vs. Crawford finally. Spence needs a legacy defining fight and if Pacquiao retires then Crawford is the only option for him.

The situation becomes very interesting Manny's promoter could opt for a replacement someone with a good record like Garcia or Ugas although we can't consider them as great as Spence, at least they are current and past champions, I don't think Crawford will fill his shoes, there's not going to be a last-minute deal because they both have promoters that couldn't agree in the past, but we'll know let's see the development this coming days.
829  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling attracted to emotion or luck on: August 09, 2021, 10:42:47 AM
I have noticed that sometimes when I gamble, I used to win unexpectedly even when I never intended to bet. The most shocking thing is that I usually win when my mind is not that prepared to gamble probably jokingly. Anything I'm focused and well prepared I usually lose. I don't know if this is affiliated to luck or just emotions. Does this happens to others?

If that's the case then play when you are not intended to bet maybe your subconscious is playing for you to win, but it's not always going to be the case it's impossible to be that way always because gambling is a game of luck, you can lose even if you have high hopes to win and had a good strategy even if you have a huge bankroll, we cannot control things in gambling outcome.
830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you a gambler? on: August 08, 2021, 11:12:54 PM
There are a lot of people posting here. In most of threads related to sportsbetting, most user just discuss about the match, how player performed, how they could perform etc but very few person discuss about odds, chances of winning a team and other factors related to bet.
Is it possible that most people only discuss here to fulfill their signature requirement? In my case, I don’t play games at casino. I used to play back in the day but not anymore while I'm still having sportsbet on most of the matches.
Be honest and share about you whether you post only for your signature requirement or you post because you are involved in gambling & you want to know or share knowledge.

Both, you cannot participate in a gambling discussion without spamming if you are not playing in gambling casinos or you are not a gambler, participating in a gambling campaign is a good incentive for those who want to share their knowledge and experience, I play on luck-based games that involve a lot of risks, so I'm more on a discussion on strategies related to luck based and mindset on how you play these luck-based games.
831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Man lost £20,000 in one night after becoming addicted to online gambling! on: August 08, 2021, 06:37:47 AM
Quote
After becoming addicted to online casino games in March last year, he lost £40,000 in the space of a month, losing half of that in just one night.

After losing that money too, he found himself in massive debt, and contemplated taking his own life.
https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/man-lost-20000-one-night-24067466

I don't know why they are caught up in this moment but I think people know the risks yet they still try. Was it appropriate for him to call the gambling firm wrong or he was right? (See the last part of the article or better read the 3 mins. article instead)

He is not guided and has no control of himself he is like a timebomb waiting to explode, this is what usually happens if you won a big amount of money on your first try playing, you thought it's all easy and you just need a big bankroll, this is what a guy told me that I always regain my losses by using a martingale strategy, which old gamers know that cannot be trusted, always do your research if one guy told you a strategy to win in gambling.
832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your betting budget on: August 08, 2021, 02:15:07 AM
For me, a reasonable gambling budget is 3 to 5% of my income, although I may allow more if I have some extraordinary income that month. How do you plan your gambling or fun budget?

It was higher in the pre-pandemic I used to allocate 10% of my income from my bounty campaigns but now I can only allocate 3 to 5%, this is a good percentage and the allocation can still last for a week, just enough to have good times during the lockdown period, we have lockdown in our city from time to time but I have to limit my time because of a limited budget, and it's important to have a ready fund during this pandemic.
833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should online gambling companies be responsible for harm related activities? on: August 07, 2021, 09:42:27 AM
as the function of the CSR as they are not created to take responsibility for this because it was the fault of the gambler, not the site itself.

Even in gambling addiction, companies are still out from this and we can neither claim to help us.

If the gambler file a complaint in court I don't think it will prosper, it's going to be a long and expensive case, and casinos can hire the best lawyers because they are well funded and they have a lot of connections when it comes to gambling we must see to it that we become obsessive in gambling we can do this by limiting our time and focusing on other things and strengthening our relationship with our family.
834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling or playing? on: August 06, 2021, 10:11:20 PM
I am sure most of you have played videogames of one short or another and many have noticed that may offer gambling in-game options - I am thinking mostly of Role Games and MMPORGs -  like implementing a casino or some short of fortune game. As an old example, Fallout New Vegas has an in-built game called Caravans, but you can play blackjack, roulette, etc... Newer games that are free to play or cheap to play offer lotteries that award prices such as unique or rare in-game items...

There is currently quite an effort on using these techniques in games that should not be about gambling or chances playing and some people may find undesirable. Is this going too far? What type of effect may this game on underaged players?

If they are a gaming site and they are offering games that are related to gambling they will likely get a lot of complaints and can be reported especially if they are offering to bet with money, they are really going too far, because there are kids as young as 9 years old already plays in a gaming site, and parents who found out this games similar to gambling will restrict their children from playing on that site, or even go to the extent of reporting the gaming site.
835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Taxes on gambling send the right message? on: August 06, 2021, 09:38:16 AM
Many countries including my own are taxing services and products that they think are luxury items, this is to limit people from using and patronizing the products and services, that includes cigarettes, liquors, and services being offered by casinos, so poor or average income, people will not use or patronage these products and services, casinos are heavily taxed because they only want rich people to go there and because they can bear the high taxation because their players and clients are rich people.
836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does it take for a game to "hook" people on: August 06, 2021, 03:24:35 AM
I am asking this because I do have some short of an answer for videogames and for massive multiplayer games and even for social network oriented games. Videogames require a great design, good difficulty grading, an story that engages the user, massive multiplayer and network oriented are a lot about the interactions and how varied and fun these are. However, for casino games, it would seem that these factors are not really the most important ones. You can see games with very basic graphics and design, simple in the options for the player and not that engaging yet they do "hook" people in them.
What do these games have to have for you?

As a gambler trying a new gambling site I'll check the reputation and their trust grade you are putting money and you want to get that money out if you win, you are playing to get entertain and at the same time win money if luck hits you, if you are just playing and don't care about winning money then design and good difficulty grading are worth looking, I've seen gambling site with bland design but still getting a lot of players because of bonus and easiness of cashing out.
837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: (Olympics Boxing) Carlo Paalam vs Ryomei Tanaka on: August 05, 2021, 10:15:46 AM
Paalam has a good chance of getting the gold medal and that's what he wants to achieve for his country, and if you look at every fight he always uses very fast footwork and sharp right-handed counters that his opponents have to watch out for.

Carlo Paalam and Marcial's performance earned praise and support from Pacquiao, who wrote from his training camp in Los Angeles, "You two make us so proud"

Paalam although an amateur shows good footwork, timing, and the ability to shift from right to left-handed, he has a good chance if he decides to make a shift from amateur to professional they will have good support from Manny Pacquiao, they don't need extensive training because they can easily shift from amateur to professional but I guess both Marcial and Paalam still has a long way as an amateur but it will be exciting to see them as pros.
838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need beginner guide in gambling. on: August 01, 2021, 08:47:31 AM
Besides learning the mechanics of each game I recommend that you give yourself a rest, don't put yourself into winning or trying to recover your losses this is where gambling becomes dangerous, always take a break and come back when you have a clear mind whether you are winning or losing your bankroll you can come back with a fresh mind and take the necessary action on how not to lose everything and when to stop.
839  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What's your favorite way to earn Cryptos? on: August 01, 2021, 06:33:34 AM
Talk about your favorite places or methods of earning cryptos.

My favorite and I guess everybody's favorite is the signature bounty campaign, not only do you get to earn new coins with good potential if you are participating in an altcoin campaign but also get to know the latest buzz and new technology and innovation in the industry, everybody wants to rank up so they can have the biggest stake in the campaign and since the implementation of the merit system members has dig deep to share their opinion to contribution on every topic to get the nod of the community.
