<Checks price>
Well then, I'll just post a simple  "gentlemen..."

"you know, she likes choo-choos"... Risky business
https://youtu.be/WRxWq6Gfquk

Gotta say, right now bitcoin feels like Rebecca in my lap.

Still, having been through the previous rocket ride this one feels a bit more subdued. I'm no longer thinking about buying Lambos, except in the "yeah I might trade a bitcoin for one". Then I can buff it with the towels I bought for a bitcoin years ago.....

Hopefully someone here bought BobLaw's cheap coins.
844  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 16, 2020, 01:37:13 PM
And back to 16,300 territory. Nice to see there is a bit of support at these levels, so when it gets to 18k will people be posting double vegattas?

845  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 15, 2020, 01:26:54 PM
"I hear he HODL’s BTC"

Let's see......

  • Markets bouncing won't shake loose my coins
  • Government threats won't shake loose my coins
  • World instability won't shake loose my coins
  • BobLaw freeing the slaves won't shake loose my coins
  • Lambos driving by won't shake loose my coins

Yet a couple of young vixens think they can shake the ole coins loose?Huh

(yeah, probably. Ug!)

Frankly I don't give a fuck anymore as my wife has yet to recover from the damage it has done to her when she caught it in Jan of 2020.

I did recover took about 3 weeks maybe 4 weeks for me to get over it.
I do have permanent damage from it.
Scaring that will affect me the rest of my life.

Jesus man, I am sorry. Bitcoin can't buy back your health.

To anyone who is not a complete moron I simply say wear a respirator with P100 filters. MSA makes a nice model that does the job even if a POS coughs on you.

This is exactly WHY we did the whole prepper thing. I mean what the fuck is with this complete burying of head in sand just to placate some political point and shitbag? Would people just burn their food reserves after a disaster to prove how "tough" they were?

It's exactly why we did the whole survival thing in the first place: To survive.

No shit. I am totally bored watching bitcoin being stuck here at a mere 16.400.
848  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 13, 2020, 04:45:22 AM
Ok, I'll call it: I'll offer one bitcoin for a 1995 vintage Lamborghini Diablo. With spoiler please, gives it a more Countach look while being a bit more roomy.

God, remember all those poor souls that sold at 16,250?

850  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 12, 2020, 10:24:39 PM
Checking in to see if Bob bought himself a human being......

Myself, one of my kids wants to sell their bitcoin. .10 that I paid them a few years ago for raking the lawn. Very glad to get it back into my wallet again....

991 is the Porsche I planned to buy with my BTC someday soon. A used one.

Now I've decided not to spend BTC even for dreams like this, at least not until it's much higher, so I'm looking at a cheaper car, and I'm liking more and more one I used to dismiss, the 2nd generation Porsche Boxter S (987) :

280hp, manual gearbox, can be found for about 20000€. No fear of daily driving it. Paid for with fiat and not BTC, so no qualms about not putting a BTC sticker on the back (original plan, but I figure it's asking for trouble).

Good job! I picked up a basket case 928 S4 a few years ago and fixed everything myself with a pair of bitcoin @2000. Granted it's now 30k but to be honest I enjoy the living fuck out of it so much I consider that bitcoin well spent..

Boxter is a fine car, do enjoy and welcome to the Porsche bitcoin club. They have more space than Lambos anyway. :-)

Classic pyramid scheme. Will they ever end?
853  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 09, 2020, 11:40:03 PM
If you are waiting on "hard data" then you are missing the point.

It doesn't have to actually be a cure-all, it just has to sound like one to the pleb masses.

Watch as the Covid numbers magically dwindle early next year, news of the "cure" working miracles in the hospitals, the MSM fear mongering subsides, and the masses emerge and begin freely to go about doing their normal routine, and spending money again.

All by design. Biden of course will claim all of the credit.

Torque, you're better than this....

Gotta admit: That was a fucking incredible model for Logan's Run.

855  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 09, 2020, 06:11:38 PM
Well well, what a shocker. Biden president for not more than a day, and suddenly a Covid-19 "cure" appears out of nowhere.

https://www.cnbc.com/2020/11/08/election-stock-market-futures-open-to-close-news.html

My my, what are the odds?  /s   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Simple: God hates Trump and his supporters. God loves Biden and his supporters.

How could it be otherwise?

More to the point, I'm waiting to see the data. There was a time when I would trust stuff like this outright but that's going to take quite awhile to return.

is bitlocker guy just a shill for Lambie?

I love it when you have a user on ignore but you don't remember why, so you expand one of their posts and immediately realize you made the correct decision

It's like pulling Charlie Manson or Lyndon Larouche out of the oubliette every once in awhile to check on them. Listen to the ranting for a bit, back in the hole they go....

I haven't watched network or cable TV for more than a decade at this point. It's all streaming on demand. News I get from yahoo, reuters, etc. You better believe there were a record number of viewers on this election, just not necessarily watching television. Also don't really get the voter fraud angle, it's the default goto for the right whenever they get pissy about something, and every single time it's shown they were wrong about it. Voter fraud is such an infinitesimally small problem that it almost doesn't exist, and chances are equal that it will be someone on the right or left that does it.

Now voter suppression on the other hand. That's real. I'll give you 2 guesses which side of the ideological divide dominates that in the USA.
https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/texas-voter-suppression-covid/

It is to note that it was hispanic votes that pushed Trump over the top in TX and Cuban slaveowners that pushed Trump over the top in FL.

Likewise there was very little voter intimidation on election day according to the NAACP and ACLU. People reported like 60 events, most of which were valid cases of electioneering which is not a problem at all.

So a pretty fair election.

jesus. you really come across like a bunch of utter rednecks to really think it is a sign of cultural degradation when some filmmakers create a movie where the hero is a female version of James Bond?  will the world still turn after this? will your dicks in your pants will still be the same dicks? it is a fiction series. the theme has been ridden to death for decades. it is entertaining. if you hate that a woman acts as a new version of James Bond then don't watch it. but stop peeing your pants as if someone took something of any relevance from you.

Borat should do the next one. and then Marge Simpson. and finally Greta Thunberg. that should give you something to chew at.

It should answer the question "Does James Bond have agency?". This was done 50 or 60 years ago in animation with Chuck Jones' masterpiece: "Duck Amuck" in which we find out that yes, Daffy Duck does have a specific essence and character independent of form or function....
860  Economy / Economics / Re: What is causing last few days' run-up? on: November 07, 2020, 02:15:20 PM
I'd say it's partially due to Biden pulling ahead in the US elections. Regardless of personal thoughts, Trump is a bull in a china shop when it comes to policy and has been on the record against bitcoin. A bad breakfast could have resulted in bitcoin being banned or declared "evil".

I'm guessing people believe things will be more stable under Biden thus price pop.
