Proudhon is too funny to arrive reliably on cue. He might make the audience wonder for a bit... building expectation for some theatrical math&science effect.

I will use plywood drill a few holes in the plywood  and these spacers

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B071DF6ST4?ref=nb_sb_ss_w_as-ypp-rep_ypp_rep_k0_1_15&crid=3UVVXW61BE1JA&sprefix=plastic+spacers

This will help cool off the mobo

I will mount a few of these fans

https://www.newegg.com/corsair-co-9050050-ww-case-fan/p/N82E16835181205?

the key is the have the fan set to blow air above and under the mobo.

This would keep mobo pcb cool and the cards

yes.. i have about a 1/2 inch of space under my onda d8p and have a row of 120s that blow under as well as over the mobo. it does help. mobo stays barely above room temp now (vs when there was only less than 1/4 inch space and barely any airflow under the mobo).
845  Economy / Economics / Re: Legalization and Standardization of Organ Donation on: November 15, 2021, 01:59:19 PM
I do understand the point of view of OP and I think that he just wanted to try to provide another way to save lives of those people who were in need for a donor of organs but also thinking that if it would be monetize I'm afraid that it will only lead to a many crimes like kidnapping and human trafficking. Is it only me who is thinking that maybe the mafia for human trafficking may regroup for a big group sharing common goal and that is to get money in exchange of organs? I may be exaggerated it but this is what have come to my mind after reading the thread.

larry niven (a "hard" science fiction writer) wrote several stories about harvesting organs for profit or "the greater good" in the 1960's/70s. basically, the whole concept goes south real fast. i tend to agree with him.

I don't know how the $80 generic ones work, but the 'real' ones are just running an embedded linux controller and dd 'ing (more or less) the entire drive.
The source is only ever mounted in read only so having it come back as 'raw' is just about impossible.

This: https://www.amazon.com/SATA-Hard-Drive-Duplicator-Eraser/dp/B00G6TG5YE
is not the same as this: https://www.mediaduplicationsystems.com/fx2125-sata-sas-usb3.0-hard-drive-duplicator

If you walk into a shop or your tech is using something like the StarTech one. Run away as fast as you can.

can confirm the startech is junk. i have it (maybe not exactly this model but a similar startech) and while its never corrupted the source drive its only successfully duplicated maybe half the drives i tried. like 4 or 5 drives out of 10 or so. and man its slow af. waste of money.

i never leave any old or failed disks anywhere or in anything i giveaway or sell. the drives are destroyed. even if it dies when in the warranty period im not sending a drive back for a replacement so i just write it off.

Pretty sure.  What's the name of someone who has taken so many hallucinogens that they can no longer reason clearly?  I probably came close to that one myself... but I think he's way over that line.

859  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FDIC Allows Banks to Own Bitcoin on: October 28, 2021, 09:00:08 PM
but let's say its approved, will any of you go to deposit your BTC to banks?

the answer to this question can be answered with this other question:

if a person has 10 BTC and that person who has 10 BTC dies, how will that person's relatives benefit from 10 BTC?

You could say: it is enough for the person who has 10 BTC before dying to notify all relatives that he has 10 BTC that the problem will be solved, but if the person who has 10 BTC warns at home that he has 10 BTC and the relatives steal all his bitcoins?

here Is where a bank becomes very important, with the bitcoins kept in the bank, when the person dies, the bank will notify the beneficiary (relatives in this case) to take the 10 BTC

there are better ways to make sure your coins go to someone after you die (lots of threads on this subject). so that reason is pretty much moot.

not your keys etc.

as well as everyone else in the same boat. cuz waiting for a charge at some charging station miles away from home just aint gonna happen.

And, of course, having a driveway of your own you can charge in is far from the rule in any case. A rarity in many cities.

never thought of those who only have on street parking. cables snaking everywhere.. not

i just cant see the existing power grid is gonna handle double (?) the power when everything (heat/transport) is electric.

now i do like electric stuff; i have a battery powered chainsaw, trimmer and week wacker for light yard stuff (with gas chainsaws and weedwacker for heavier stuff) and i love the near zero maintenance that electrics have. but once nearly all consumer stuff is electric.. is our grid gonna hold? no one seems to talk about that? or is our grid actually capable now and im worrying about nothing?
