841  Economy / Economics / Re: how to overcome inflation for the community on: May 29, 2023, 08:45:19 PM
These may be some great tips in life, but really what matters is how each person approaches and copes with inflation. Not all tips work for everyone, and not all of these tips are good. Because focusing too much on a lot of issues anyway will only make them out of control, which is really not good. The word can do the opposite of what you're trying to do, and things will only get worse. So try to understand what you need and just do well what you are doing; don't think about the negative problems that it brings; just check if you are really persistent enough to face it.
So instead of thinking about how bad is inflation to us, much better if we focus on finding additional sources of income because whether we like it or not, this gonna happen to the market. What we gonna do is to adopt the situation and have more investments and sources of income we can never feel how bad it was. In today's situation, we can never be lazy and feel tired, but must have to work harder and be wise when it comes to spending money and in this time, people had realize the value of money in our lives.
842  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you give one reason why I should buy bitcoin? on: May 26, 2023, 09:39:53 AM
If you buy Bitcoin, it is as if you are taking part in the financial revolution by being part of a transformative technology that has the potential to reshape the traditional monetary system in which we live. You want to be not only a witness but an active member of this revolution.
It means, support and people did it eventually after seeing the potential of Bitcoin, and the government and banks have been getting troubled.
Well, it is something to say that not all who buy Bitcoin had think the same as you, they are motivated and get the courage to buy Bitcoin as an investment, not as a financial revolution due to its possible huge profit return. In fact, this is the mean reason why people are coming, considering this as fiat remain optional because in major countries, it was not yet accepted as mode of payment.
843  Economy / Economics / Re: How to increase profit in business on: May 26, 2023, 08:27:54 AM
Well, of course, the first thing to do is to increase the volume of customers. But how?

 - understand the needs of the people around you
 - good services must be consistently given to them
 - business visibility -need to spread awareness (social media)
 - affordable price

All of these things may help but should have to be more engaged in your business as well and if possible, must ask them a short feedback as this helps to address what is needed.
844  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before investing on meme coin or shitcoins consider this. on: May 26, 2023, 07:55:59 AM
The question is if meme coins and shitcoins are worth investing in? If not, then why we should have to spend our money with them knowing that the risk is too high? So instead of spending time on these coins, better use them wisely for those projects that seem natural potential because in the end, we are still the ones who suffered when in fact, we have a way to avoid it.

So before investing, must know what we are invested. Because if we are looking into a profit, then have to invest potential coins, not meme coins especially, if we are aiming for long-term.
845  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you consider moving abroad? on: May 25, 2023, 09:51:26 PM
I think compared to my country, working overseas is more guaranteed but unfortunately I have parents who can't be left behind because of that I took a job abroad via remote. in that way I can work and get the facilities provided and even be made like a good employee in a foreign company. Even so, I think we have to be careful because if you look for jobs online, more scams are found.
We all have a valid reason why we can't and the same thing those who are leaving their country for abroad.
But for me, I don't have to sacrifice myself going abroad and leaving my family which in fact, earning money from our country is not impossible as long as we work harder. There are a lot of online jobs available and surely we also have the chance to get at least one from it. Adding another source of income is the solution to having a financial problem.
846  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: A good way to help our children. on: May 25, 2023, 09:14:41 PM
Our children will not be as lucky as we are, we have to help them to know about bitcoins on time so they can have some for themselves. We are lucky because we are of age to know and understand what bitcoin is at this time when the value of bitcoins is still expected to increase not like our children who have no idea and it may be too late for them to make any gain from bitcoin when they finally know about bitcoins if you leave them. A good gift any parent can give to their children for their future is to enlighten their children about bitcoins so they have some knowledge about it at an early age and buy some for the children even before they can begin to get for themselves. What do you think?
I've preferred not to teach them about Bitcoin during their kid's time instead, help them enjoy their time and focus on school. Honestly, it was too bad to dictate what they have to do with their life in the future as we have an individual wants. Maybe they become interested in cryptocurrency or maybe not. Of course, we can educate them about Bitcoin but not to the point that we need them to follow what we doing today unless they are showing interest as well. There is a perfect time of doing that...
847  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: May 25, 2023, 01:44:56 PM
Thurman might go back to his regular job now as a boxing analyst and who knows when will be his next fight as it looks like he doesn't have the fire inside of him as we have seen in his last fight against Barrios.

Yes, there's no choice for him as the Spence vs Crawford fight is activated again. Hopefully, this time it will become a reality because fans have been waiting for it for a long time. While a Thurman vs Spence fight would also be interesting, if we truly want to witness the best fight, it should be an undisputed bout between two undefeated champions.
848  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Josh Taylor vs Teofimo Lopez on: May 25, 2023, 01:22:30 PM

He will be tested again by a real champion. If he struggles against Kambosos, I don't see him having a good chance of winning against a more complete boxer. I believe that Teofimo Lopez is overrated. He gained popularity by beating Loma, but his career is not going well yet. He still needs to prove himself again, and it starts with beating Taylor.

If he can beat some strong fighters with no doubts or controversy, he will be no doubt to be recognized as a really strong boxer but if he continues to struggle in his every fight, I guess your right Lopez is truly an overrated dude who is just there to fool the fans and he is not worthy of any blockbuster fight at all. if he continues to show such performance, he will also lose his value because after all, the fans need some real entertainment and therefore they wanted to watch a skilled boxer that will gonna finish his opponent with a strong knockout power.

He is still entertaining to watch, but that doesn't guarantee a win. Some boxers remain entertaining even in defeat because they are willing to engage in toe-to-toe battles. We have witnessed Lopez's fighting style, and he is far from boring like Haney. What stands out about Lopez is his confidence as a boxer. He truly believes in himself like a great champion.

Perhaps he has garnered a fair share of critics, but his record remains commendable. While he is no longer undefeated due to his loss against Kambosos, he made the decision to move up to a heavier division. In this new division, he has already secured two consecutive victories, demonstrating his prowess. Now, he has the opportunity to showcase his skills against a proven champion, which presents a significant chance for him to succeed. Let's see if he can rise to the occasion and achieve victory against this tougher opponent.
849  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Never Expect Consistent Winnings From Gambling - A Lesson I Learnt. on: May 24, 2023, 05:32:44 PM
Love the parable used here, but I  think both sons have valid answers of what experience is all about because this can be applied in different scenarios. Besides to learn a lesson.. sometimes you have to have first had experience to be able to tell others what you experienced... otherwise curiosity will force you to try something out to get a hard learnt lesson.
It's just that the 2nd son, even if he's much younger than his older brother, he got an instinct that his older brother never had and that's why the father trusted his older brother to him because the father knew that the younger one will be the lighthouse to guide his older brother from steering into the wrong direction.

Quote
And looking at that  example of the arrogant gambler,  everybody knows that the house always wins, and it gets bad if pride gets to you thinking you are invisible when in reality its all about having a lucky day or run and take what you can...once you are back just know the house will reclaim whats left!
His one sole mistake is the day when he left his job so that he can make gambling his full time job which is definitely not right as not everyone could do that and that's where the domino effect began, even the professional gamblers are still having a bad day but this man, he seems to be arrogant enough because he thinks of himself so highly and forgot the fact about the house advantage as that will always happen at the end of the day no matter how lucky we are.
850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A Thought On Gambling Strategies on: May 24, 2023, 03:25:38 PM
There is still an iota of strategy in gambling even though it doesn't guarantee 100% win. Gambling is more likely 30% strategy and 70% luck in which most of the luck has a minute percentage of strategy. Just that the house always wins but on rare occasion it is the reverse and why it is always like that is because of desperation and emotional involvements. Sometimes a gambler makes a massive win and feels it should continue that way then end up losing everything.

It's not that new anymore to see gambler playing like that and lost everything he/she had after just having a massive payout. That is the main reason why there are still a lot of casinos surfacing now in any given city mainly the most improved ones and competing other establishments that offers the same games, etc.
These casinos are just taking advantage of the fact that there are a lot of people that will go towards them to play with a different variety of reasons, but those reasons doesn't matter to the owners as long as the people are playing and losing their funds, while some are going to the extremes just to get their goal even if they are already having the opposite thing.
851  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 24, 2023, 03:02:39 PM
Haney and Top Rank should be happy that they got that numbers and the money.
They cannot be happy if the expectation is high but the outcome is low. I suppose Haney needs to change his style from boring to an exciting boxer. That would certainly attract more viewers, especially if he keeps winning with his new style. Mayweather was boring, yet he was a PPV king. Haney cannot just use that as a basis, as he is not as good as Mayweather. Additionally, people's tastes may have changed since there are plenty of exciting boxers in the sport who are worth spending on PPV subscriptions.

Haney just needed to learn a lesson from Mayweather Jr. on how to sell a fight because being a boring boxer will not make him earn a guaranteed 7 digits per fight plus PPV's, a thing or two from Mayweather will literally help him on his situation compared to what Haney is now who's always silent and has been away from the limelight if he doesn't have any upcoming fights.

Being a boring boxer is not that bad but having no efforts in selling a fight is just way worse, and promoters are not happy as well, hence why Bob Arum is not making plenty of fights out of Haney because organizers are not really inclined of having him as there's no huge profits that will be generated if Haney is fighting.

In-terms of making a hype and selling a fight, I'd pick Shakur Stevenson over Devin Haney.
852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 24, 2023, 02:33:28 PM
If the Celtics win Game 5 and 6, then I think we will have a game.
Definitely, we can say they might make history if that happens.
But, we have seen the Miami Heat play better on the road. They love the challenge and it gets them pumped up. I think what happened today is just them being too relaxed and forgetting about how it should be played in this series. We will see how Jimmy Butler will carry his team on Boston homecourt.

There's another factor too that I believe is partly the reason why the Heat was defeated in Game 4. Maybe the Heat was just too tired from playing aggressively and having a good defense in straight three games without having some rests in-between, that is why they fell out of bounce in the 2nd half.

Anyway, the way I see it, that might be the Boston's last game that they can own because the Heat on the road is still dangerous and that gives them time to rest too while traveling compared when they are having a back to back games.
853  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you decide on a buy price target? on: May 23, 2023, 09:42:59 PM
I've been interested in adding Optimism and ImmutableX to my portfolio but their price has been inflated after big run ups.

Now they are both in freefall and I'm considering an entry point.

How do you decide where to take the plunge?  A certain %drop from the top or a %above bottom?

Or do you just look at previous levels as the traders always mention, Optimism is getting close to some previous tops at $1.3 for example?

Or do you get buy targets from another source?
In this situation, I could still have them but just a small chunk of investment. I'd rather make a new start in a new project which is going to rise, not coming from the hyped price as it was pretty hard to recover.

Although we can say correction would happen to the market but seeing it doing down from the top, seems to be not a good indication especially, if that project is new. Not totally we can say it turns to die but several coins have that situation and never rise back, so we need to anticipate such a thing as well.
854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: May 23, 2023, 10:57:58 AM

They actually still look good with their roster but they will probably let go of Russell. Keep Reaves.

That's the best thing they have to do. Russell is a highly paid player, so they can find someone who is more consistent than him. It doesn't need to be an NBA star; they need someone who can allow the organization to develop their game and who loves to play defense, unlike Russell, who isn't good at defense. Reaves is probably the most consistent player on the Lakers roster, aside from LeBron, as he can really contribute on a nightly basis

Russel became their problem on Nuggets series since he didn't show up some good contribution to help his team. Maybe its good for them to trade him and find more better wing that can help then on offense and defense. For sure they can get more better as Russel still have a value as a player.

But even though Lakers has been sweep by denver we can still commend these guys for giving a good fight with nuggets they didn't give up and show their heart they should bounce back next season since they still have that rooster which can help them to get another championship run next season.

Russell was not able to prove his worth. With a player earning a big salary, he should excel in tougher competition like the conference finals. However, look who's showing up—it's Reaves, as he continues to be more consistent and has contributed to the Lakers' ability to be at least competitive. Well, it's over now. The Nuggets have already advanced to the NBA Finals, awaiting the winner of the Heat vs Celtics series.

I'm guessing if the Heat advance, the odds will be 3/1 in favor of the Nuggets, providing good value for Heat fans.

856  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Understanding cryptocurrencies and investment. on: May 22, 2023, 09:02:14 PM
those things mentioned are definitely basic common knowledge that everyone interested in cryptocurrency investment should know.
but there are also need to understand that the investing in general isn't just waiting your money to grow, there are risk accompanied that can causes massive lose.
Losses will only happen to you if you are investing the wrong coins and most of all if you are too emotional where you easily get panic and are badly affected by the FUD. It is important that we have to understand the natural behavior of the market (volatility) as this is very important before investing, not after losing our money. Well, the most common mistake we have is to never anticipate the volatility of the market and we keep ourselves positive always which in fact, we need also to do side steps if necessary in order to avoid major losses.
857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What was your biggest fear with starting in crypto? on: May 22, 2023, 08:30:38 PM
Genuinely want to know what prevents your friends/gf/ colleagues from investing? Did you have any barriers when you first started?
The fear of losing their money seeing crypto investing could end up into a big scam. And maybe it’s also the reason why I never invest at an early time because I still doubt crypto if it’s really legit and profitable when I first know it. But upon reading a lot of positive reviews that crypto investing can create life changing profits, that’s when I start taking the risk and prove it to myself that crypto investing has a lot of potentials to bring wealth into your account.
Only Satoshi believes that his creation will become big and reliable in the future while the rest are in doubt. That is why we call this a risky investment but some did try and test it, and that is the beginning of a huge change in crypto space. Well, of course, that fear (fear of losing our money) is very common to all especially newcomers, with a lack of knowledge and market experience, you can really feel like that. But conquering this feeling is the only way to success and so we must have to do it.
858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: does it worth to start mining now ? on: May 19, 2023, 01:54:57 PM
what do you guys think does it worth to start mining now ?
It is worth starting mining if you will think that electricity cost is not a problem in your place. But if does, I would say that to take a look for another option where to put your money.

Mining is not an easy game,
 - huge expenses (electricity)
 - needs a high level of mining machine to become competitive
Everything is expensive and with the huge competition, I don't think it was worth it to start with.
Many people had stop because of those things but of course, I was not good enough to judge you. Why not if you think you can do it.
859  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can copy trading be profitable on: May 19, 2023, 01:10:43 PM
I haven't tried copy trading, but that is possible, but it is not stable. You can earn that amount on this day, but tomorrow you lose the same amount. Also, the trader you'll copy should have a good track record. Still, I don't recommend copy trading because you don't have control over trades; you only have control over your funds, and you also don't know why the trades took place. It is better to do it your own way because we don't know when traders in the future will be gone.
Just like any trading strategy, copy trading never works perfectly or something to say it was really efficient in earning a profit. Because the market is absolutely unpredictable and also it depends on the trader.
I have tried copy trading in the past but later on, I quit and make my one strategy because I was not really comfortable always relying on others when we can do it the same or even better. Well, I would say copy trading is good for newbies but I won't suggest just staying there otherwise, our success is limited.
860  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: May 19, 2023, 12:04:21 PM
I know, Haney is boring, but I don't know, if you guys heard him in interview, he sounded like Floyd Mayweather to me? Is he copying Floyd up to the way he spoke and that stutter? or it is just me?

I'm intrigued by what you said so I watched the recent interview on both boxers but for me, he sounded different from Floyd hehe or it's just that people from Vegas spoke, Mayweather is from Las Vegas right, correct me if I'm wrong.

But there might also be a chance that Haney is trying to emulate Floyd, trying to be the villain in a match to sell more tickets as we know that he is not a PPV kind of boxer, boring as they say. If only Loma is not his opponent, this could not be a blockbuster fight I think.

Loma is an entertaining fighter, so even if Haney is quite boring, people would still watch the fight. Haney is still in the early stage of his popularity, and although he is a boring fighter, if he continues to defeat popular boxers like Loma, then most probably he'll earn big paychecks in the future. This fight is not going to be a one-sided fight for sure, but the edge here is on Haney because he is younger and quicker, while some say Loma has already passed his prime.
