881  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 Pro Kabaddi League Discussion and updates on: August 01, 2019, 04:37:59 PM

Yes you're right I can't view anything, only this message: "Coming soon to Europe!
Hotstar.com is unavailable for residents in Europe. We continue to work through changes in light of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which went into effect May 25, 2018. We apologize for the inconvenience, and intend to launch our services in EU soon. Thank you for your patience."

So is there any other website where we can watch Kabaddi matches ? Like a Youtube channel or whatever?
BTW thank you for the informations about the draws Sir.

Knew that. You can try to watch on TV then (not sure though if it's the same in Europe) like Star Sports channels are the broadcasters of the match. Else even espn shows the highlights and gives live scores here: https://www.espn.in/kabaddi/

Similar case here: https://twitter.com/gage5144/status/1149538691989135362 (They only have 3.3.8 till now so 4.0 is out of question for years. That should have been a warning sign to upgrade from 3.3.x directly to 4.).

Since I learnt about the hack of clicking the update button few months ago I never use auto update feature. Luckily I have never seen the update pop up as well.

This is what I recommend, if you somehow find yourself in this kind of situation that Electrum is asking for update with a pop up then just close entire Electrum and download a a fresh copy from their official website. Verify it before installing and start over again. This way, you are safe that you are using authentic Electrum and also the latest version.

Do not forget to keep your seeds safe in somewhere else. You need them to restore your wallet if you have not backed up your files in the wallet folder before uninstalling the old version.

But there should be an option to disable the popups as there have been so many cases where users have lost their money. Last year the same happened and they updated their wallet and now again a new hack since April. Except warning they do nothing.

It's not possible to take strike all the time, lol. Moreover, there's no guarantee that Smith will not be out. It's better for Australia if Smith can score some runs faster. He is the real man, did the half century.

Dhoni's style of saving the last wickets to get a decent score :-P

Looks like it's going to rain so if it does rain then tomorrow all wickets are gone for less than 10 (just guessing like it happened last time). But still don't want it to go to tomorrow and let Aussies complete the first innings today itself.

1st match of TWC is interesting as of now. Smiley
884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 01, 2019, 02:19:46 PM
LOL Smith is showing his aggression in the field and taking 2-2 runs to end with a decent score but still will only manage 20-30 runs maximum with 2 wickets left. He needs to take the strike and not let Siddle be on strike but he is letting him be on strike. Dangerous!
885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 01, 2019, 02:11:02 PM
5th wicket also gone and Smith alone can't do anything when now after Tim only bowlers are left to bat.

250 score also looks tough from this stage as earlier Smith and Head had a good partnership that took them to 99 and Woakes is playing brilliantly. England were great in breaking the partnership which is important in even test matches. Don't think the captain would manage to remain till the end of the day. The Top 5 of Australia did not even manage to make 50 runs.
Damn it man! They are 6th down! Only Smith is fighting for the Australian team and keeping one side safe but if no one can not support him then he can not do much. Someone needs to support him if Australia wants a decent score in their first innings.

So far, Australian are not looking good. I just hope the best from them.

EDIT: And another gone! 7 down :-(

130 all out today it seems with 8th wicket gone. lol

Looks like betting on England is the best as luck always is in their favor. Now they seem to lose 2 players but still till Broad and Woakes are present, things seem in their favor. Aussies have lost their form currently.

I just loved Australia when Ponting was their captain. I loved his aggression while Paine is blah.

Edit: Now 140 looks the best for Aussies.
886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 01, 2019, 01:36:59 PM

Good luck and seems like you have high hopes since Australia lost their 4th wicket. Good thing for Australia is that Smith is still batting.

Pant is still a newbie when it comes to test cricket in my opinion and has a lot to prove over time. Pujara will probably continue his great form through out the tournament and he is the main player to watch in Team India.

It's not whether Pant is a newbie or not but Pant is in form while Rahul isn't as per his recent records.

@Royse777: I am not taking into account the earlier results as England is in form after winning the WC and especially in their home ground. Hence want to cheer for a winning team lol.

Match stats: Australia is already 92 for 3 so looks like 270-280 all out would be safe for England to chase down if Smith and Head can reach a partnership of 100 (currently 60+). They were quick in getting runs  else 35 for 3 looked like another another low scoring game.
888  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: August 01, 2019, 09:43:25 AM
^But in case of a tie, that doesn't sound fair as both teams have played equally well then and should be joint winners.

I am betting on India as they are the highest ranked team in cricket so just hoping they keep their form going. But still hope they make changes. Pant is better batting as an opener rather than Rahul. Rahul is better at 4-5th position.

Looking forward to today's test between Eng and Aus. Cheering for England as Aus will not win in England land.

I have sold my kick coins in 2017 and since 2 years I am getting 0 bonus coins every month and along with me I can see even other users getting the same. I don't get why as there's no point sending 0 coins and waste fee sending it.

The contract should determine users with 0 balances and not send dividends.
890  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What's your advisable source of capital to use for trading. on: August 01, 2019, 08:23:21 AM
Being in debt for trading is the worst thing as the income is not guaranteed and plus you need to repay it soon with interest. I used to trade in 2017-18 and in May 2019 when the market conditions were good and it was mainly in altcoins and BTC/ETH pair. I not only traded on crypto exchanges but on Forex too which had a stop loss option and all the investment was either the money I earned from the forex as a free deposit or was from the profit earned. I noticed I was more comfortable trading with the money given by the forex as a bonus even though I made losses of about $50 but I was able to easily recover it when BTC/ETH pair started fluctuating a lot. I barely trade on crypto as there is no bonus at all and plus their withdrawal fee is ridiculous.

Capital investment should always be your own money whether it is as small as 0.01. Never to use it for gambling/trading.
891  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How profit from Bitcoin will be taxed in India? on: July 30, 2019, 04:13:23 PM

44ADA is specifically created for freelancers! Traders and investors will have to go through the capital gain/loss route!

But whoever is engagged with freelancing and earning in bitcoin, they can take the benefit of 44ADA. You need to calculate only the amount you hve cashed out in fiat and not the whole amount of bitcoins earned!

For example, you have earned 1 bitcoin from a signature campaign but cashed out only 0.5 bitcoin in fiat. So you need to show only 0.5 in Indian rupee as your income. There is no specific law regarding cryptos yet in India, so we can take such leeway! Read details about 44ADA below,

https://www.paisabazaar.com/tax/section-44ad-income-tax-act/

Crypto earnings will never be taxable so that's what I was asking as there are no deductions when you convert the crypto into fiat. Entire fiat money converted is taxable so no 50% deductions are applicable as expenses. The latest notice is again too confusing as they are asking source and the number of altcoins that were converted too and the balances in crypto wallets which shouldn't be their concern at all. They only need to be bothered about amounts converted to INR.
892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINTALK FORUM ADMINS SHOULD HELP BOUNTY HUNTERS. on: July 30, 2019, 02:22:09 PM
i want to be specific here about the post i made. i am NOT TALKING ABOUT SCAM PROJECTS, rather bounty payments especially for quality and successful projects. the current norms now is that BM reduces payments at the end campaign.  How do we tackle this here.

Earlier as well for successful projects, neither admins nor bounty participants could do anything. Some projects delayed the payments by 6-8 months while projects like Auctus started distributing after 6 months and gave us a deadline of only 2 weeks to claim via some instructions. I missed reading the announcement and lost $10k but couldn't do anything. They not only changed the rules but delayed the payment also. BM just did not respond and help any participant.

Reducing payments also lies in the hand of the projects and BM and some make it clear that it depends on the amount they collect. Tagging such BMs is the only way out. Since there is no legal agreement, they can do whatever they want. It's like either accept it or leave it. I have received 1/4th of the amount promised by many campaigns but couldn't get any help as it depends totally on the team.

^If you are making money, then only you will be taxed. Any income above 2.5 lacs is taxable but when they recently made an announcement about 5 lacs giving full rebate, I was confused how they will consider bitcoins in it. Here is notice a user received for not paying taxes:

⚠️ Indian Income Tax Department Again Sending Notices To Cryptocurrency Traders & Investors

In an interview (https://m-economictimes-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/m.economictimes.com/news/economy/policy/significant-rate-cut-would-do-a-lot-of-good-to-the-country-says-nirmala-sitharaman/amp_articleshow/70425812.cms#stickyBanner) the Finance Minister of India was asked about the Draft report on Cryptocurrencies that advocates a complete ban on trading, mining, holding Cryptocurrencies.

⚠️ She considers it futuristic & well thought out, but they will be looking into it again before making their position clear.

So if the bill is passed, it would make earnings an illegal offense so no paying taxes is out of question. This finance minister is more harsh than Arjun Jaitley.
894  Local / Press & News from India / Re: Reserve Bank of India Denies Involvement in Draft Bill to Ban Cryptocurrencies on: July 30, 2019, 10:50:20 AM
The finance minister says the bill is well drafted and will look into it which means that everything is just going to be negative. today someone said they received a notice from Income tax department too.
895  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Finally found an exchange that worked for me! on: July 30, 2019, 10:07:04 AM
I checked the website and it only allows you to buy few currencies and plus it has not even mentioned about the countries that are supported for withdrawals and mainly is for US and Philippines as per their FAQ and on the main page they say they are available in 150 countries??
896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOINTALK FORUM ADMINS SHOULD HELP BOUNTY HUNTERS. on: July 30, 2019, 09:20:58 AM
Admins don't help victims of scam and don't even take action against well-known scammers so forget about bounty hunters. For that reason DT members are in place to tag such suspicious bounty projects. Changing rules now is a common thing as they even mention it in their disclaimer but requirement for KYC, downloading their wallet are some rules that make the project look suspicious while not paying bounties is something even admins can't help about. They can't force the company to pay and that's totally the hunters loss. That's why always join campaigns that are managed by reputed managers and not XYZ managers who take their hefty fee and then don't care about the participants.

This feature is present in other forums but not here even though they allow multiple accounts to register from 1 IP. With the result we have such posts:

Zloader ID: A0RR20

Zloadr app ID: AZT1GA

Since the OP requires users to post their ID, newbies are creating accounts just to post it. The thread was locked earlier but they reopened it.

^Hope ICC makes it clear as after the result of the ODI finals, all keep asking the same question for the first ever test WC. Declaring both as champions seems more fair else then points will be counted but for me the former one is the best as each team will be able to collect points for each draw which has been the result for max test matches.

I am also worried about my personal data because not only Jinbi but Smartvalley and even an exchange coinsecure has my personal details and all have turned scam. How can we get to know our data is being used illegally and sold? I don't know which site to access and plus they wouldn't post this information publicly. Earlier someone tried to misuse my phone number and then I had to get disconnected but now what to do with my data?
900  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: July 29, 2019, 03:10:18 PM
Espn has released this information as draw possibilities are higher when it comes to test matches.

Quote
If the final ends in a tie or a draw, the two teams will be joint champions. Although the playing conditions allow for a reserve day, it can only be used if net playing time is lost during the scheduled five days of the final. Net playing time for every Test amounts to 30 hours of play (six hours per day).

The reserve day is only going to make it worse as again it will be June 2021 and the finals will be played in UK. Another rain wash. But I am glad they will chose to make both teams joint winners.
