Well Andy Murray has a tough first match at Monte Carlo, he plays Alex de Minaur! and thats tomorrow. He have been considered among the top line of tennis players. If he continues to play he's gonna destroy his name that's been earned through hardwork. Rinku freaking Singh! Wow! Just wow! These kind of matches are what make the IPL truly special. I knew KKR would be in trouble once Rana and Iyer would fall and that's exactly what happened though I didn't expect Rashid to dismiss 3 power hitters successively.

This will be an intresting match up between Ruud and Kecmanovic. Even tho im cheering for Kecmanovic because he is from Serbia i think he is no match for Ruud especially on clay. So this means that Ruud is a clear favorite but hopefully he can surprise Ruud in the final. With Ruud I never really get the idea that we see the future best or one of the best tennis players in the world at work here. Perhaps it has to do with his charisma or perhaps also because of his inconsistent results that occasionally cost him his head. Anyway, it's been a long time since we've seen a good player from Norway, only Denmark's Wozniacki in the women's was the last near SCandinavia I can remember. Ruud is also still young. Still, I think he is of a much lower level than Alcaraz. Alcaraz also progressed absurdly fast. There are quite a lot GOOD players in Scandinavian countries but very few GREAT players. I mean really iconic like Borg or Wozniacki. Ruud is 24 so he's approaching the middle stage of his career. He's been on tour for 8 years already. Frankly, I don't see how he can improve from here considerably. His main drawback is his small body frame. If he'd be something like +10cm tall that would help greatly. Meanwhile, in Charleston the play had been suspended due to rain. Kasatkina is leading Jabeur 5:3 first set. As mentioned physic really matters. Having good height gives advantage in more places and makes it easy for them to take points. As said Ruud have been into different tournaments for a long, yet he wasn't able to achieve big. He's considered among the intermediate category of players who performs well, but to convert the same to be a win seems to be little difficult. I was expecting this match to be very close and go till the last ball but unfortunately couldn't see such a match, however I think CSK was a better all round team today, saw a sort of unexpected version of rahane. Surprisingly even Mumbai is playing very bad this time. Especially Sky being out of form, that middle order looks so average. I thought SKY would be a key factor this time for Mumbai but it's not really going to be so i think. Also without Archer even Mumbai's bowling looks so average.

Ireland's top order performance in both innings was very poor. Middle-order and lower-order batsmen batted responsibly after the top order did not play well. In second innings only 3 players scored runs that brought them back in the game. If few more have joined them then surely result will be quite different. Still Ireland has lot to learn from this test specially about there top order batting. You are right. Teams like Ireland should be given more opportunities in the Test format. The Irish team performed really well in this match. They also played well on the bowling-friendly pitch of Mirpur. The middle-order players batted responsibly despite being under a lot of pressure and led the team to big collections. I think this team will become more experienced if they get more opportunities to play in the Test format. The team has the ability. They have some talented players in their squad. However, I think their performance is somewhat erratic due to a lack of experience. More the matches played, the players will gain good experience playing international test matches. None expected such a performance from the team. Ireland team is good in ODI and T20 format cricket and with test match the team itself a debut as they've played very few matches. Slowly the teams will get more matches, following the test match the happened with Bangladesh there is another test match in this month against Sri Lanka. In T20 matches if the batsman doesn't perform well it is really tough for the bowlers to concede low runs and pick wickets. If if some bowlers maintain good economy, even a single over is enough to change the entire situation of the match. The batting performance is really worse. Atleast 150+ runs is a must in T20 cricket, so that bowlers can atleast try something. When the score is low, the bowlers can't go for wickets rather what they do is just focus on restricting the runs scoring. This doesn't work everytime. |

Initially UAE was not performing good but now from couple of recent matches they have shown great improvement with their batting specially and that's the reason they are winning

But they tried. They go 18 runs above from 200. They were trying but the UAE team was balling and was trying to its best to win the match. And at last the UAE team did it. As per my expectations Muhammad Waseem and Asif khan played really well. And made 65 and 82 runs accordingly. I believe the UAE team actually performed far better than the Jersey team. Of course, UAE is not a very interesting team to watch because almost all the players on the team are foreign players. I really wish to see some native players in the UAE team. This is a big reason why I believe the funding from ICC should be far less for UAE. Anyway, they have played well in this match. They put on a very good total and also defended that total very well. UAE looks to be improving. If every team needs to play with the native players, then this is going to be tough as many teams have got foreign players. They might have played or haven't played for the home country, now they're part of a national team. Though they're immigrants and the country have given the opportunity. Let the serve the nation that have given life for them. UAE is really strong and at times the performance used to be very bad. In the match from the beginning UAE stood strong and developed partnership after the first wicket. This helped the the team make 284 runs. Jersey had good start, once the wickets started to fall, they were unable to have control and develop partnership. Anyhow cricketing have improved a lot from these teams. |
