901  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: June 10, 2023, 02:47:37 PM
Many people also start gambling at a young age and become chronic gambling addicts, committing so many ill crimes just to gamble. There is no guarantee that when one starts gambling at a very young age they will become professional gamblers, and I don't think anyone could be a professional gambler; the person can just be good.
Is there ant specific age for gambling aside from the below 18 year warning that we are all used to and we see young individual getting hucked to gambling so I don't think age has a lot to do with gambling habits and how we control them, there is no doubt that gambling has offered an additional source of income but then one can not rely on that or making excuses with that to get addicted to gambling.
Seeing gambling as a source of income is a wrong mindset in the first place, you can't consider winnings that you get from gambling an income because it is not consistent and you are bound to lose more than you win, so even if you manage to get some money someday, you are going to lose that or even more the other day and a source of income doesn't work that way.

A source of income is something where you only get money and it doesn't take it back, just like a job where you work and you are guaranteed to get paid for what you do, and gambling is nowhere like that, no matter how much time you spend, you will give more than what you take from it at the end.
I agree. I personally can't even consider gambling earnings as a source of income knowing that it is not received on a daily basis and there's a big chance on losing money because of gambling. It's just there are some people who gets delusional because of how addicted they are on gambling. There are people who are forcing to give gambling a good label or giving themselves a good reason on why they should play more often. The mindset of them are just plain wrong.
902  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top 5 Advantages of Bitcoin Casinos vs. Traditional Casinos on: June 10, 2023, 02:00:08 PM
The only thing that comes to mind is anonymity if you win big or lose there are no people who see you so you can be secure in that sense. Beside that finding a nice casino it's not so easy in some places and if you live in third world county they can be rigged.
Not sure if there is completely anonymity in crypto gambling though at least some is not asking for KYC.
and also finding a nice casino if you know how they run not unless you are a noob gambler that wanted to win easily and yes you will lose all the time.

Anonymity is no longer possible because casinos are now asking for kyc verification to be completed by all their customers. They might ask you when you register on the casino or after you request to make your first withdrawal and you don't have a choice but to do it.

The amount consider to be a big win will demand the casino to request you to verify your information before the withdrawal is processed so anonymity can't be guaranteed anymore when using a crypto related casino or sportsbooks. For this, traditional casino has an advantage.

Online casino secures you from exposing yourself to others people when you win or lose but you'll be exposed to the government through your KYC and if found guilty you'll be tracked very easy as your address and other private information are all in your KYC document.
There are still casinos that offers no KYC to their service. Most of them are new casinos that are trying to get gamblers into their casino and no-KYC offering is the most attractive offer they can give for other gamblers to switch to them. Though there's still a risk like unexpected problems on new casino since they are new to the industry. Reputable casinos are the one who are collecting KYC since it is a rule that binded them with their license. It will depends on you on what kind of risk are you willing to make.
903  Economy / Gambling / Re: Question about casino, sports bet on: June 10, 2023, 01:29:18 PM
You've really stirred the pot with your analysis. Yeah, mobile gaming's getting bigger by the day, and our fancy phones can practically do everything a PC can. But are we ready to jump ship from the PC platform to mobile? Not quite yet, buddy. While it's easy to say casinos should just crank out mobile apps, the reality is a different ball game. Casinos would need to conduct thorough market research to assess the actual demand, and not just make assumptions. Now, talking about security, you're bang on! Mobile apps do present an increased risk of security breaches. It's a double-edged sword, really. On one side, there's the convenience of playing anywhere, anytime. On the flip side, there's the risk of losing your assets to some low-life hacker. Casinos need to think long and hard before they decide to tread this path.

It’s not necessary that casino needs to develop mobile app to serve players demand in mobile since most of online gambling platform works well on mobile web version. According to stats online if you will do google search. The majority of online gamblers is using mobile over desktop which I agree because all of us use our mobile phone in daily basis since we can carry it all the time while computer can’t do the convenience given by mobile phone.

Online gambling doesn’t require heavy specs to run all the games because it’s design to play on any device smoothly. With that in mind. Mobile as the number one gadget of people will surely get the majority of players that play online casino.

I believe desktop only advantage is playing only heavy games since mobile usually have a battery issue with that area.
On our current time, websites such as casino are fullt optimized that it can be run on mobile based browser. Big casino surely focused on improving the casino website rather than on making a whole new application given that it can pose hazards such as possible application exploits, cloning their app by hackers, and google playstore and app store surely won't list them on their platforms. Gamblers finds that it's ok to use a mobile browser to do casino gambling even back then. I've tried a casino app before and I don't think it's worth that much using it since it offers almost the same function and it consumes my memory space on my phone.
904  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading addiction, are you coping? on: June 09, 2023, 07:53:10 PM
snip

I think it would be perfect to bring this trading discussion. Are you addicted to trading? I am thinking that making profit from trading or making losses, there is a chance that some traders are addicted to trading. What are you doing naturally to stay away from trading addiction?
i'm lucky not to fall into the trading addiction category because i don't do day trading and usually day traders often experience this,

Quote
Day trading is addictive for the same reason that gambling is addictive, and it has to do with the brain.  When a day trader takes a profit, or even gets excited about a potential profit, the brain releases “feel good” neurochemicals such as dopamine and serotonin.  In activating the brain’s reward system, over time the brain becomes reliant on this type of stimulation in order to induce pleasure.  The brain becomes conditioned to want to trade financial instruments for excitement, euphoria, and wellbeing.  Undoing the damage done to the brain can take weeks or months to correct.
[1] https://www.familyaddictionspecialist.com/blog/am-i-addicted-to-day-trading-10-signs-you-are-addicted-to-day-trading-and-what-to-do-to-stop

all traders must pay more attention to the duration of their trading every day to avoid the effects of addiction on trading even in some cases many also experience withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety when not trading, if it reaches this stage then the trader must be treated (to avoid bad effects in the future which could only make the sufferer worse).
Just like any other hobbies or thing that you are really focused on, there is a chance that people will get addicted into it. Just like gambling, there people who are getting addicted to trading and it's sad to see traders that are doing revenge trading which put them at the greater risk. All addiction is curable but it needs a long time for it to be cured and it might require some specialist and rehabilitation program just to be free from that addiction. At the end of the day, everything is fine not until you got addicted and receives negative effects on what you are doing.
905  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do meme coins have a future? on: June 09, 2023, 06:20:10 PM
Check this out for yourself looking at memecoins, from what I'm seeing are essentially all exaggerated promises that take advantage of newbies' ignorance to spread information that to I am completely wrong in the investment environment. Maybe the stubbornness in the words of the people who are supposed to bring influence and bring out the glamor to attract people to them, this crypto space is very diverse in different fields, I can form when all fields have not met their expected capacity and also with the context of the market economy is not good, bad variables appear to sneak in and take everyone's money.
This is how meme coins gain their reputation. They are known to gather newbies and make a temporary community about hyping their tokens up and make false promises that I don't know how even long term crypto users are fooled. Maybe it's because of the trend why people still buy meme coins but I'm certain that meme coins will just come and go. Established meme coins are different since they have a community that is devoted to promote their coin.
906  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Stay Lowkey lang tayo on: June 09, 2023, 04:58:12 PM
The golden rule in crypto space is that you do not have to talk about your bitcoin or altcoin holdings to the public, kasi kung hindi, mataas yung risk ng $5 wrench attack.

It's never a good thing na bangitin mo sa public yung crypto holding mo or magmayabang na mayaman ka knowing na pwede ka magalaw in real life. Those influencers na nag faflaunt ng yaman nila is need nila yun para sa source of income nila as influencer pero if you are a crypto user na less known and just trying to impress the public, I don't think na tama yun gawin.

It's true na mafefeed yung EGO natin once na mag mayabang tayo but we need to make sure na kaya natin ipaglaban yung niyayabang natin like ma protektahan natin sarili natin against the possible threats ng action natin.
907  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: why people are always interested in altcoins on: June 09, 2023, 04:34:24 PM
I am gonna go ahead and say it’s quick profit. Nothing beats the profitability when it comes to investing your hard earned money. But when you are Bitcoin investor since long period of time you would know that Altcoin isn’t the right choice to put your money into. The risk is high, sometime we could see lot of profits in the alts and quicker too but that ain’t guarantee for us. Alts specially those with meme category or has no real roadmap of utility. Those projects are very profitable but are garbage and could either give a lot or take everything from us. Peeps are just trying hard to get more and more from such projects. They are trying their luck I believe.
Well this is true. Majority of altcoin buyers always has the goals for profit, let's say majority of who are on crypto are for profits. It's the truth and we can't deny it. Most of the millionaires on crypto made their fortune thru altcoins. We know how altcoin multiplies like crazy if it has a demand on it. We've seen it many times and there are people who are targeting to getting lucky on altcoins and became rich quickly. The trade off is there's a lot of risk if we compared it to bitcoin but yeah it's how you choose what altcoin you will buy on how much you will profit and how quick you can lose money.
908  Economy / Gambling / Re: Rollbit.com | Crypto's Most Rewarding Casino 👑 on: June 09, 2023, 04:04:16 PM
If a casino breaks their Terms of Service, it is not good but a trusted casino does not do that. If we as customers, don't read Terms and try to exploit their Terms, when casino pull their hammer, we don't have right to say anything as innocent victims.
There might be some casinos who update their terms without notifying the players but the hidden aim of them can be to fool players but legit casinos make players aware about any change and it's also our responsibility to check them before playing and with time also but yes normal playing won't land you into these withdrawal issues.
It's obvious if a casino has motives for unprofessional way like this like implementing a new rule that is widely used or doing by gamblers. One example of this is countries that they ban, all players on that country will be affected immedietly if the casino didn't announce their terms being change in advance. Though most legit casino won't do this since it's unethical. This is why it is important to choose what casino you are playing and make sure that the casino has the reputation that they are protecting for.
This is true and ito na eexperience ko ngayon. Mahirap kasi mag resign agad agad knowing na may kanya kanya tayong risk after that decision. Lets see 2-3 years from now kung nasaan nako.
910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if social media apps start launching their own cryptocurrency? on: June 08, 2023, 03:37:35 PM
Facebook tried and failed with their project libra but there still might be a chance that social media platform could make their own crypto tokens. Social media platforms CEO like Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk surely is aware of cryptro but they know about the risk as well and the pros and cons of it if they will launch it with their platforms. SEC is very hot against cryptocurrency right now and it will be a long battle between social media platforms vs SEC if they introduced it now. I'm guessing that one of those social media platform is developing their own right now and waiting for a perfect timing to release it. I'm speculating things but I know it's possible. Maybe telegram would be the first to release LOL. It's my speculation.
911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Algorand dead or can it recover? on: June 08, 2023, 03:06:18 PM
If the price of a token goes all time low, it doesn't mean that it's dead. We are on a bear market and it is expected to encounter such tokens that will fall lower than you expected. Along with the SEC issue which makes coins go down really hard, you can check them if they are still fighting SEC and if they are still continueing their promise developments. A project that still develop no matter what kind of situation they are in is not dead IMO. They may be performing low or full of FUD but atleast they still develops. We can see on thr bull run if they are not worthy investing.
912  Economy / Gambling / Re: 1XBIT.COM ᐉ 7 BTC WB ᐉ Altcoin Betting ᐉ no KYC ᕗ Instant payouts on: June 08, 2023, 02:30:51 PM
I cannot recall when the most recent genuine scam accusation (with evidence such as transaction id and screenshots to back up the claim) was made against 1xbit/1xbit1 in this thread but I think it is already almost universally agreed that the 1xbit/1xbit1 operators are running a scam website.

They seemed to have some sort of slack in the past because they seem to be intermittently selective scamming their members but are they still doing it? Where are all the mass-scale scam allegations against them?

Its their fault on why people called out them easily as scam because they leave a bad impression that they are scam. Verifying if the claim is legitimate has been eliminated since if someone claim to be scam by them many people automatically believe that this case is true. If 1xbit is just transparent on everything like solving those old or existing issues and show some proof that they really fix those things, maybe some of their clients might give them a chance to show that they change as a good casino. But this is long way round to prove as many people is already convince that they will never be a good casino.
They have many genuine scam accusation against them before and those are still havent resolved yet. Verdict is they are still a scam casino even if they are flooded with too many fake accusation. Forum members are just tired seeing accusation against this casino because there's nothing new about it and it won't be solved as much as we like because even if it's proven, 1xbit won't pay them. There's plenty of chance given to this casino before but they haven't availed the chance to clear up their name. We can't do any thing about people who were scammed by them.
913  Economy / Gambling / Re: Roobet.com | Crypto’s Fastest Growing Casino 🦘 on: June 07, 2023, 11:14:52 PM
There used to be a lot more promotions (free ones) on this forum but the last 2 years that has fade out. There are still 1-2 sites organizing a lot of promotions on the games and rounds subforum but Roobet, is for the moment, not one of them. Yes they ate active on Twitter but each big casino is active on there.
For me they all are past events and the thing that matters is the current promotional strategy of the team and they are doing good in it also like the art contest and we will see the another one also soon with another theme I assume and others on site as well.So we should take part in them and appreciate team so they put more such events for us.

They could return those old contest happen if many request to launch it again. But its also good to see new things they could offer since it will never make bored to those people seeking new things to have fun. Roobet is strategic in marketing so provably we can see more enjoyable contest to follow or even to participate by those competitive guys here in forum.
Yep if many requested to return some events and promotion did by roobet back the , I think it is possible that they will bring it back. Hhampuz is our forum bridge to roobet and I know that he will give consideration to a popular demand. Maybe, if we reallly like some past events, doing a poll or something can help in acknowledging the request to bring back the old promotion. I believe that roobet will also appreciate this as it will help them to know what kind of event people like and want to interract more.
914  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which campaign is better? Bounty campaign or Signature campaign? on: June 07, 2023, 03:28:44 PM
It depends on the kind of marketing team you hire and also your target audience. Back in the day, Bounty campaigns used to a thing with both the projects and bounty campaigners mutual benefiting and then came the cheats, bots and spammers
Yeah. Back around 2017 and 2020 when I attempted to join one bounty, it was just like a hit and miss kind of stuff. You never know if your 3-month work would be worth it in the end. When ICO became like a hot topic, it was just like being visited slowly by scammers until nobody even dared to do ICO bounties anymore.
Base on your story, I think I'm one of the few users here that are kind of lucky at that time then.

We have different story in terms of bounty campaign back in 2017 to around 2018. Every campaign that I joined, I always get the tokens from it, and luckily I manage to sold every one of them. I only joined in a few bounty campaigns (around 5 I guess), and all 5 of them paid me the tokens, got listed in an exchange, and manage to sold all of them. That was the time where ICO are still hyped. After months of joining in a bounty campaign (paid with tokens), I stopped it already, and focused on campaigns which are paying Bitcoins.

We're planning a series of marketing activities, and we want your input on bounty campaigns and signature campaigns. Which one gets your heart racing? Which of these two campaigns do you think will work like magic for FireDAO within the Bitcointalk community and beyond? We trust your expertise, and we want our marketing efforts to align with your preferences and expectations.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong with this one.

Bounty campaign is a general term consists of different types of campaign like Social media campaign, Telegram campaign, Blog campaign, and so on, and so forth. Signature campaign on the other hand, is one of the campaigns under the bounty campaign where you wear signature to advertise the project here.

Many think that signature campaign nowadays is different from bounty campaign, but back a few years ago signature campaign is one of the campaigns under bounty campaign. Now to answer your question OP, signature campaign (paid thru Bitcoins) is more effective than just bounty campaigns (different campaigns). Well, you can do trial and error. Hire a reputable manager here, try both campaigns. One where you are paying the participants with your own token, and one using Bitcoins.
There are still bounty campaigns that has a signature campaign inside of it. There aren't that much but it still exist on some bounty campaign that has a manager. We can see the decline of trend from before and today, I still believe on bounty campaign that still has a signature campaign on it. Knowing that they are willing to pay extra to signature codes and to a bounty manager but if the bounty doesnt even spend anything, it would be a redflag for me.
915  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How To Interact With Dapps? on: June 07, 2023, 02:54:23 PM
If you only plan on trying, use verified dApps since there are a lot of dApps now that can steal you money. You can  use the interet  to search more  information about the dApp you plan to use and you can also find tutorial on youtubr or other platform on how to use it. It's simple but there's really so much to consider especially if you plan to try unverified ones. Interacting with it will be easy as you repeatedly doing it but yeah always be careful.
916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Please recommend a reliable Bounty Hunter... on: June 07, 2023, 02:18:06 PM
It's hard to catch good posters if the reward is your native token. Atleast give a participants a token that has a current value, I'm sure that bounty hunters will flock your bounty campaign and you can choose there. You can also limit and put some requirements on the bohnty campaign like only accepting hero members above or atleast have a certain amount of merit to join. You can't expect that people from a signature campaign will transfer to the bounty campaign you have but if you reward is convincing enough, there might be good poster that can switch to your bounty campaign.
917  Local / Pilipinas / Re: May Mga Influencer Ba Tayo Na Tutok Sa Cryptocurrency? on: June 07, 2023, 01:23:23 PM

This is the reason kaya ang onti lang nanonood sakanya vs sa followers niya kasi halos lahat ng viewers niya before is di na nag cicrypto. Iba padin yung quality content kasi yung nakukuha nilang followers is till now active cryptocurrency user pa dahil natuto talaga sila mag crypto at still anticipating padin next bull market. Next bull market waiting ako kung magiging popular padin ba yung mga hype influencers.
918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: In-chain Games on Ethereum: Are They Still Relevant in 2023? on: June 05, 2023, 02:45:09 PM
One problem in ethereum network is the gas fee as other mentioned. You future gamers will suffer heavy gas fee prices and this can be the reason on why would they avoid in playing your game. I personally think that Crypto games still has a chance to shine next bull market but you as a developer should consider the problems that happened last bull market where people suffer from high gas prices, weak tokenomics, unsustainable way to make people way to stay in the game and yeah bad quality game that only attractive if the reward token value is high. You should choose gas friendly blockchains as I guess your game will use a lot of gas fees.
919  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin is dead, long live ... what? on: June 05, 2023, 02:10:38 PM
I've saw bitcoin is dead post here too many times already and everyone including them is partying with their gains when bitcoin rise up in value during bull market. What ever bad image bitcoin had in the past, and today which is ordinals. Bitcoin won't die because of it. With the number of supporters even if bitcoin is suffering from a gas price crisis, there are someone who are still willing to use it. Remember the outragous ETH gas fee before? When NFT and nft based altcoins are on trend? There are someone who  doesn't really care that much on how much they spend on gas fees. There are also concious ones who are thinking if they will push through a transaction but in the end, they do it anyways. Bitcoin always has a demand and just like what happened to ETH last bull market, No one will care about gas fees if they really want bitcoins.

So this "sport" is a game that is judge by judges, I wonder who would become the judges in this tournament and how can someone be qualified in it. Do we need massive sex history or remarkable sex life? LOL. Also I think that games like this can easily be rigged since it's not a skill we are talking that we can watch it live. As a watcher, It's hard to know in this type of "sport" on who is winning or not. Even with criteria, I believe that it will be hard to notice. I wonder if this kind of sport can be livestreamed for gambler and other people.
