901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you be worried or comfortable seeing your elderly mother gambling? on: January 14, 2024, 08:03:11 AM
Not bad if she's going to gamble with very tiny amount but it is giving me a different feeling that she's spending a lot.
That's the time that I'll play the role of her parents telling her that she shouldn't do it anymore. Yes, she's grown up and should try to enjoy her life but I like her to do other things to enjoy with not with gambling if it's too much.

Yup, there's nothing wrong for her to gamble as long as her mother didn't go far to the point that she's going to be addicted. we won't tolerate their actions but as a child, It is also our responsibility to check our parents on what they have been doing, so we can give them a tap or advice especially when we see that they are overdoing it.

902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 14, 2024, 06:48:49 AM
maybe that's normal, but to be honest, I haven't studied this yet.

however, if you really register using a referral link from the biggest influencer in the world, if the casino really has the intention to cheat its customers, isn't this something strange? I mean it all depends on the casino's policy, if the casino is part of the best casino, they will never differentiate between customers who register using a referral link or just register without a referral in terms of withdrawals or deposits.

I have never experienced this but I think logically that if the casino differentiates between regular customers and customers who use referrals it seems unfair as if regular customers are not given good facilities but customers who use referral links always get good treatment and this needs to be addressed avoid it in the long term because it will be very scary if one day you gamble and get a big win and end up not being able to withdraw the winnings just for the reason of not registering using a referral link. very silly

it doesn't seem like there should be any difference in treatment if you use a referral link or not because the referral link, that is only used for agents or co-players who affiliate with the casino company so they can get a commission every time someone registers using their link, but as for the treatment in playing and other things, everyone should be equal unless the others have VIP premium access.
903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you take time to read the terms and conditions of casinos before registering? on: January 14, 2024, 06:11:42 AM
Before opening an account on gambling or casino sites, there are certain instructions and terms and conditions that most of the times we create an account without reading. There are very few users who read these conditions before creating an account but most users find these conditions annoying so they skip these conditions. I can feel the fact that I should read these conditions but still feel bored reading these conditions. Since my only intention at that time is to have an account on this site we don't pay any attention to read the terms and conditions. Just like there are signs on cigarette packs that cigarettes cause cancer, there are some sites that have different conditions before signing up, like cigarette packs, then we ignore them and create an account.

We are all guilty here, since majority of us didn't take time to read terms and conditions because like what you've said, our intention is to create an account only and we find reading long paragraphs of T&C boring but we lately realize the importance of it once we encounter different technical problems after creating an account. Some people may not realize the importance of reading terms and conditions or may not be aware of the potential consequences of not doing so.
904  Economy / Economics / Re: Useful side hustles to sponsor a BTC investment dream. on: January 14, 2024, 04:57:49 AM

This is a new year and in this community, it is our duty to share useful information and tips that is of benefits to community members who may need such information so as to earn a good passive income to achieve their Bitcoin investment dreams and of course their life dreams too.
I only compiled just four of some passive income skills or hustle that Bitcoin enthusiast or traders may need to assist them in owning BTC and may turn it into a career if done well.

1. Digital Marketing is guaranteed to earn at least $500+/day.
2. Job as a Virtual Assistant may earn one $150/day from these sites; fiverr.com, upwork.com.
3. Reviewing Songs is also expected to earn on an average, $200/day.
4. Watching Ads is one I find quite fascinating, but it is sure to earn one $100/day.

There are also others I may not know. Please do feel free to add up some side hustle ideas you know that could be very useful in this new year, mostly as the halving is expected and the dream of still owning some BTC investments haunts many of us.

.
Thank you for sharing this one, I agree that the stated 4 types of passive income is very profitable and we can earn a lot from that kind of job which is higher than your basic salary pay in a normal job. It's quite impressive how other freelancers share their journey on how they earn huge amount and acquire properties and enjoying their life by the help of freelancing work, particularly the Virtual Assistant job, But It's not easy as what you think because before you can find a good client or a project, you need to have solid experience in the position you're applying for, just like how you apply to a normal company. It is true that you will earn more here and we are talking about dollars, the best thing about this is fixed work from home set up because the clients will come from different countries.

905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who among you here is gambling at work? on: January 14, 2024, 04:27:15 AM
In their free time, workers are sure to be confused about what they want to do because their work is finished, but for those who like to gamble, they may use their free time to gamble and in their minds that's okay as long as their superiors don't know about it, but sometimes what do you do doing it doesn't always remain safe. There are times when other people know what you do in your free time so that your boss knows that your time is not fully used for work and there is a big possibility that you will be fired from your job because you are not disciplined.

This is what gamblers who have jobs must learn because life is not always about gambling, apart from gambling we also need food and when we lose our jobs how can we find food? and how can you gamble?? Therefore, it is better to use your free time at work to keep doing your work and not let it happen because gambling can make you lose your job and gamble at home outside of work, this will not cause problems for yourself.
Our bosses not only hire you for your expertise, they also are entitled to part of your time as an employee, so even if you are an excellent employee and you have finished everything you had to do, this is not really an excuse to gamble on your job.

You could get away with chatting with your peers or checking your social media for updates, but gambling is something that is going to leave a negative impression no matter what, so people should just play it safe if they do not want to lose their job and gamble once they get home.
Of course we have to keep working and discipline our time to continue working without thinking about gambling in our free time, we are hired as employees to carry out work so we can't just do what we want like bosses who gamble in their free time. It's the same like taking your work for granted while you are still working, we have to keep ourselves busy working so that our boss will think that we are doing our job well and not making any mistakes that make our work difficult.

Yes, it's true that the most important thing is that we don't make a negative impression, whether chatting with friends or reading a book, it won't leave a negative impression, so please do whatever you want as long as you don't gamble at work, gambling after you get home will make you calmer and being able to enjoy your gambling rights can also be your comfort when you are tired from working all day.

Well, some people have this kind of mindset that if ever that we already build the trust and good impression in a company, our leaders will think that we are effective and efficient employee that no needs to supervise every time, in that way, we can do whatever we wants as long as you comply the needs and assigned task to you and they don't know that you're doing something illegal during working hours. We have different views when it comes to working, just focus on our own technique on how to do things that won't get caught and even more so, no one else should know this because they can report it to the higher management.
906  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's The Weirdest Alibi Of Gamblers So They Can Continue Gambling? on: January 14, 2024, 03:29:04 AM
That's indeed a weird alibi from your friend. But that's not the weirdest probably. Gambling could indeed be therapeutic as other forms of entertainment are. But that's not a wise idea to gamble if you're going through something.

I think the weirdest alibi for me is when a gambler asks or even borrows money because he needs to buy food or milk for his baby or medicine for his old mother even if the reality is that he only uses the money for gambling.

The last part will be the top tier weirdest alibi that I've ever heard, And we knew that many gamblers has been using that line in order for them to borrow money, they also sometimes use the illness of one of the family members as a reason and the worst is about death. Imagine? That's how a person can turn beyond theirself because of addiction.
907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips to avoid compulsive thoughts related to anxiety on: January 13, 2024, 11:18:22 PM
Managing compulsive thoughts linked to anxiety can be challenging, but some techniques can help. Practicing mindfulness, deep breathing, or even distracting yourself with hobbies can offer relief. Remember, a balanced lifestyle, including a healthy diet, plays a role.

That's what I'm going to say too, since lately I've been experiencing panic attack everyday, which really affects my daily routine and decisions, One thing that helps me to calm is the deep breathing, Ice theraphy and meditation, I've been doing this for a couple of months and it really helps. It seems difficult if you come to a situation where you suddenly panic while gambling because it is possible that your strategy and decision making while playing may be messed up. Maybe the only thing I can advise to others is, if you have anxiety, it would be better to do the self practices first and make sure you are mentally well before playing.
908  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does it looks responsible as woman telling husband you gamble? on: January 13, 2024, 09:26:52 PM
Absolutely! Just let your husband know about your interest in gambling and assure him that you're being responsible about it, doing it for fun and not risking too much. Keeping open communication helps in any relationship!

it's easy to tell the truth particularly to our spouses, especially if you know there is nothing wrong with your actions and as you've said, you are a responsible in your actions and decisions, you can explain it to him properly so that you will understand each other. always remember that having a good communication and comprehension is the key for a healthy relationship.

910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do not gamble with Loan Money~otherwise you will be in danger like me on: January 13, 2024, 01:29:13 PM
I value you sharing your own story of becoming addicted to gambling. Extreme gambling can lead to a lot of problems, and this is a stark warning of both. I agree with your advice that people shouldn't take gambling too seriously and should never use a loan to bet. Be careful when you gamble, and know your limits to avoid losing money or your relationship. By being honest, you've given others an important lesson in how to gamble responsibly. It's great that you want to raise knowledge about the risks, and I hope your situation gets better over time.

Even if we advice them to don't take gambling seriously, there's an instances that they will not follow this advices of us because they are busy doing gambling and they have experienced winning so one of the things they expect in gambling is winning and gaining profit. we really don't know what will gambling affect people's mindset because sometimes even the most serious and responsible person became addicted in gambling.

911  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Land-based Casino Enjoyers are something else. on: January 13, 2024, 12:33:28 PM
I was scrolling on my social media feeds one day until a very close friend of mine showed me a meme vid. We usually send memes to each other as our little way of communicating which I think some of you guys will get, but this one not only cracked me up, it also kind of opened my eyes at how fucked up Brick-and-Mortar Casino Enjoyers could be if they tried.

GIRL SITS AT CASINO SLOT MACHINE CHAIR TO PEE

Watching this "meme vid" or whatever made me curious enough to dig into this little rabbit hole where I see casino gamblers, particularly those who play slot, go bonkers and I mean like literal mental while playing slots. I mean most of them are depicted to even claw at the screen as if it's going to do anything.

I gotta say man, I know gambling for some people is bad but when they say it's bad I didn't think it'd be this worse lol. Oh well, all the more reasons to avoid the land-casinos I guess.

Seems like they created it for the content only? But I guess there's still some gamblers who acted that way inside the casino house but that doesn't mean that all gamblers are just like them, There are still gamblers who is responsible and behave while gambling inside the casino. Some people says, it's more fun if you experience entering a casino house than online gambling sites, because in a casino house, you can see the different behavior and actions of each gambler. You will see how they manage themselves and how they interact with their fellow gamblers.
912  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your thoughts on VIP Programs in casinos? on: January 13, 2024, 12:02:40 PM
With VIP programs, the bonuses and eligibility for such programs are just a bonus. What matters to me in being like that is about the treatment of the casino.

You won't be called VIP for no reason, do you?

They have a different treatment from the regular customers to the VIP customers and that's the essence for me for being part of the VIP program. When I have concerns, they'll address and solve the issue quickly.

One thing about being a VIP is that, the casino dealer that will handle you is one of the best employee of the casino company and most of them are the company's best pick. That's why they will be having an additional pay if they handled VIP's and it's a priviledge for them to have those VIP because they will get another bonus or tip from them.
It's having the best customers and handling them with the best customer experience that they can also give to the VIPs. As they are bringing in a lot of money, they deserve the treatment that they need to be given as special customers.

That's it on my part.

If I'll be a VIP of a casino, that's what I am expecting from them and with every concern, I expect expedite response from them.

Well, that's what I am expected too If i were a VIP so that I can somehow get the most out of the membership I paid for being a VIP. I also want that kind of expedite and special assistance if I'm the one who gambles, Plus the benefits and priviledge that I can get. if I'm rich and can afford to pay the membership fee, I'll definitely be a VIP too, who wouldn't want that, right?

913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Know when to stop on: January 13, 2024, 11:44:28 AM
One of the most important factor of a successful gambler is to know when to stop, most gamblers expecially the addictive type don't even know what is stop when it comes to gambling. So it's very important to;
* Stop when your losing is now getting to you.

* Stop when you are now feeling as is you can't do without gambling.

* Stop when you have a big winning, by channeling the money somewhere else so you won't lose it back to gambling.

* Stop when you are not even winning at all, it's not your thing.

* When your losing is weighing you down, stop and restrategize .

Thanks for this reminder, this is very helpful especially to our newbies here in forum. Since we want to avoid any kind of worst behavior like addiction, you'll should read and analyze this thread. We need to become aware when to stop gambling and OP shared the tips when to stop. Gambling should play with fair and balance because if we can't balance and limit ourself, in the end we will become addicted to it. I don't want to discourage other people to gamble but we need to know and assess ourself first prior entering gambling world.
914  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Alter Ego In Gambling on: January 13, 2024, 11:23:25 AM
It's interesting to see how people can show a different side of themselves when they're doing things like gaming. The thrill of taking chances and going after big wins can give some people a different personality than the one they usually have. It is important to be aware of these differences and make sure that the change in behavior is in line with safe gaming. Knowing your real self and finding a balance between excitement and restraint can help you have a better and longer-lasting time gambling. Being honest with yourself is very important, and you should avoid doing things that could have bad results.

It's pretty normal to know that there's a lot of people who has their other personality when it comes to gambling or other activities. Especially if a person builds a strong connection to that activity, their attitude will change and become different than their normal self without realizing it. That's how gambling affects a person to the point that they didn't aware even in the smallest changes. People should know it as early as they can, so they can balance their self behavior depends to the things that they do.
915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is not a means to an end, Do it for fun and don't take it as a job on: January 13, 2024, 12:27:11 AM
Sad reality, but no matter how many topics like this there are in this forum, if this can't reach those people or gamblers that are addicted to gambling, then they will not be enlightened and wake up from their wrongdoings. Gambling is really built for fun and entertainment only until it involves money. From there, even a gambler who initially aims to have fun in gambling will end up losing more money because they cannot take the feeling of losing money, and that's when they start to play more in order to increase their money or to recover the lost. Little do they know they are being brought to their addiction.

Gambling will never and ever be a source of income or a way of living, as you could lose money anytime, and the losing of money in this thing is fast, so you will only notice that you've lost anything when you don't have anything.

Yup, but at least those beginners in gambling will understand the right concept about it so that they will not going to be like those other gambling addict who chose to do gambling as their main job. I knew someone who had a previous high paying job in a corporate company, but after participating in different casino sites, He didn't work well and he was fired because of his changes of behavior and actions inside the company. He was addicted to gambling and we didn't see him regretting, but continued gambling and he even made it his main career, which is not okay. He wasted a good job and a high salary just for his gambling. Many people were disappointed with what he did, especially his family, but he didn't think about it anymore because his mind was poisoned about gambling.
916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Drug (cocaine) addicts compromises gambling potentials on: January 12, 2024, 09:37:03 PM
Gambling must be done with full control, remembering that because gambling is a type of game that is full of challenges and risks, it really must be played calmly. And if someone is under the influence of drugs, it is certain that he has lost consciousness and someone who is under the influence of drugs tends to be emotional and temperamental. So it will be difficult for him to gamble calmly, which ultimately encourages him to behave recklessly.

And in this case, it's not gambling that's wrong. but it is this person who has misunderstood and interpreted gambling itself. It is wrong to think that gambling can provide profits, it is wrong to think that gambling doubles your money. And we also have to remember, that the casino never forces someone to visit and play at the casino, they only make an offer and the rest is up to you personally, whether to gamble or not.

We can't blame a person for what happens to a person today, because whatever he ends up doing, he should be aware of what he is doing. When a person becomes addicted to drugs and is even more involved in gambling, he will become more confused, he will no longer be able to control the things he does that can even lead to bad things like crime. There is nothing wrong with gambling as long as we know our limitations. It's not easy as what we think, but if you think about it and you already know the consequences, you'll be scared. right? you'll be more careful because you don't want to be like other people who have ruined their lives because of their habits.
917  Other / Off-topic / Re: Who does gambling addiction affect the most? on: January 12, 2024, 09:00:32 PM
No, i don't thing the gambler suffer the most.  They bring it on themselves.  But the family - theyre the real victims.  Financial hardship, emotional distressm, families torn apart - that's what the loved ones endure.  And sometimes, like in my cousins' case, the kids pick up those harmful gambling habits too.

There's no doubt about it - gambling addiction ruins way more lives than just the gamblers.  I saw it firsthand.

that's right, usually the most affected is our family because they bear the brunt of the problem that they didn't make.
they do things to fix their lives and to become succesful but because of your vices and problems that you've created, they are also involved. This is one of the reasons why some families are broken, because they prefer to live without the person who brings them problems. It's hard to accept but many cases like this happen in real life.

918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does signing up with affiliate links gives these benefits? on: January 12, 2024, 12:05:39 PM
Many youtubers and friends share their referral codes/affiliate links, saying you will get bonuses, real money, or free spins. but I wonder if casinos give extra help or benefits in some different situations.

For example, when someone wins a big multiplier and multiplies their account by 100x, then some casinos take a long time to process the withdrawal, or they may not even give the money. however, some say that if you sign up using a good affiliate or influencer affiliate code which have huge audience, then you won't face these type issues. also, if you promote the casino using your referral link, they might not hold back your withdrawal because you helped them get new customers.

is this kind of things is considered shady practice, or is it considered fair in the online gambling world?

This is very interesting topic, when it comes to referrals and affiliates, both of you will be having a benefits from casino, not only those streamers but also you. Now, as per your example, It seems that the delayed withdrawals are not connected to the issue of you not being able to register under streamers link,
because they won't be able to determine if you registered using their links or not, and you will benefit equally but it is better to be aware of this happening inside affiliated jobs. maybe it's just a coincidence that there are a lot of transactions so there are delayed payments.

920  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We dont own enough bitcoin on: January 12, 2024, 11:05:40 AM
First of all no one owns bitcoins everyone holds bitcoins by investing their own money. Bitcoin is decentralized and its value will increase as small amounts are used. You have to fix your mind for investment. Everyone knows that the crypto market is unstable and there are risks. Understand the dynamics of the market and proceed with research. If you want to enjoy financial freedom you need to know the right time to buy Bitcoin.

Seems like OP is experiencing FOMO because of the current bitcoin situation and value. You're right, He needs to fix his mindset when it comes to investment because maybe he doesn't know that all bitcoin holders have spent a lot of time and years in investing, There's no easy money not as much as you think
so it's better for you to study thoroughly about bitcoin or any crypto related topic before you believe whatever news is spreading on social media.
