Just curious, at what price would an institution make an OTC purchase (if that's actually happening)?  Would it be higher or lower than exchange prices.

I heard of bitcoin in 2011-12 for the first time while it was largely associated with silk roads. Living hand to mouth at the time raising children and didn't have 2 nickels to rub together.
Then in late 2016 I met a guy who had loads of mining rigs living in Bali. He told me and everyone else he was processing data for large companies. No mention of coins.  I discovered what he was really doing some months later and it was the shroud of secrecy around his "business" that led me to investigate and eventually discover the little known fundamentals behind bitcoin.
After much research it became clear to me that I'd found a peaceful revolutionary tool that aligned with and greatly enhanced my activism. Subsequent bull run of 2017 concreated this.

As I was expecting, anyone who bought BCH for the fork is getting dumped on. $384 and likely to make an ATL soon.
Guess someone's gotta hold the bags, smh

One year ago it was Jihan making these threats with the BCH fork (yawn).  All empty threats is what I see from the nutty professor but price may follow his sentiment initially.
Must say I've been tempted to get some BCH for the fork, mostly because of all the buzz but I don't trust or believe Ver, Wu, Wright and the lot.
I say let them burn their BTC trying to fly these turds.  In the end it will be better for everyone when they no longer have any power to scam.

Worst sleep in a long time.

That bitcoin paranoid app sounded off at full volume no less than 4 times.  Checked prices during a bathroom break, fuck.....  Check WO... holy shit,  page count is the only bullish thing going. Finally fell back to sleep only to have frustrating dreams of almost getting laid.
And all of my triggered buy orders are now underwater.
Dare I try to sleep again.
But I'm still smiling!

Way off topic but during this massive sideways action, a small game couldn't hurt. A spin off of our previous "where's WO Waldo"
Name the subject and reveal the location.  More pixels to follow.

Update on my bank situation. I can no longer deposit fiat. Like, at all. No idea how to even pay the fucking rent once the money in my account runs dry.

I can, however, sell coins on kraken and withdraw to my bank from there. No problem at all. It's almost like they want me to get rid of them.

Could we know which bank it is? Probably not important but I wouldn't mind adding them to my ignore list  Grin
Small credit unions can be a bit better.  I've had good experiences with mine regarding crypto and cash transactions.

Bummer, I can't open bitstamp on my phone anymore (Samsung A8+) without serious lag/hang that renders my device near useless. Close the tab and the phone snaps back to operational.
Anyhow, looks like I'm not missing much this week.
Rant over

I have made a lot of trades before.  A LOT.  Most of you have made very few trades.
We know, there's even a term I believed coined by blindrosemayor right here in our own thread. Getting "roached" must be for the "special" traders.

I'm looking for a well written article refuting the media's claim that bitcoin is using exorbitant amounts of energy.
Anyone have such articles bookmarked you'd be willing to share?  I'd like to blow the thought process open for some men who have questions for me with the energy argument.
This is the one I've shared so far but I've seen better articles that I forgot to bookmark. https://medium.com/@knut.svanholm/how-everyones-wrong-about-the-energy-used-in-bitcoin-mining-fe3009fd9102

Much appreciated
