HugeAlice.nem.ninja has enough slots.

Thank you for that info.

Now the error message I'm getting says: "Error at unlocking account, reason: remote [IP #] attempted to call local/account/unlock with non-remote address [address]"

What should I do next?

I'm using nanowallet.

I went through many past pages and don't see a nice explanation of the Masternode program all in one place. Is that coming in the upcoming whitepaper?

I'm definitely interested in exploring it further.

Where can I get info on participating in the upcoming masternode program? Is there compensation? How does it work? I might be interested given the right sort of deal Smiley

all masternode questions where answerd few pages before Smiley

dmd to 2$ then 5$ and MOOOOON

Cool. I will study up Smiley

Congratulations on Diamond reaching the $1 milestone! It's now sitting at $1.25 on CoinMarketcap.

Keep up the great work Smiley

Congratulations to all NEM holders! Nem market cap is now above 2 billion dollars, amazing  Shocked Early investors are now multimillionaires!

the problem is, I think only very few people hold their NEM till now, most people cannot resist selling it on 100+x profit.

I was an original stakeholder. I've sold quite a bit of my XEM and used it to buy other cryptocoins, some of which have worked out really well, some of which have not. I still have a significant amount, though, and plan to hold onto it for now as I think there is more upward movement ahead. It is natural and prudent to take profits along the way, and I can for sure say I got my original investment back many times over. I've used some of my NEM profits to improve my financial situation in the fiat world. Because of this I can say that no matter what happens, NEM has improved my life.

Now... if I can just get my delegated harvesting to work...

And... if Polo would just implement XEM/BTC margin trading...

Hats off to everyone who has worked to make NEM what it is. You've done an amazing job. Keep up the great work Smiley

Anyone who does take over and attempt to make something of Devcoin would need to have a realistic view of the current competition. There have been a lot of innovations in coins and block chain technology since Devcoin was launched. The way it looks to me now, any cryptocoin that is *just* a coin is not going to last long (unless it already has name recognition). Look at Steemit, NEM, and VIVA, not to mention Ripple and Ethereum. Those aren't just coins. They are entire ecosystems that have other things built on top of them. Devcoin (or any coin) would have to rise to that level in order to compete. On a technical level, I suppose Devcoin could get there, but it would probably take more than one hard fork.

I'm sure this is a simple problem, so wondering if anyone knows the answer. I just downloaded and installed the new nanowallet. I'd like to activate delegated harvesting. When I try, I get the error message that says

FAILURE_IMPORTANCE_TRANSFER_NEEDS_TO_BE_DEACTIVATED

How do I resolve it?

Thanks!

If you had activated delegated harvesting in NCC, it is still activated when you switch to Nano. You could just start delegated harvesting in Nano.

I figured that out. But now I am having the hardest time finding a node with available slots for delegated harvesting. Is there an easier way to search for an open slot than manually going through each node on the list?

If all else fails, is there a way to create a node (not a supernode) just to allow for delegated harvesting?

If I wanted to just harvest on my computer, can I do that with nanowallet? If so, how?

My preference would be to just connect to someone else's node for harvesting, but that is proving difficult and has been for a long time, which is why I have not harvested in almost a year.

That is great news! I just finally got my own wallet working again after three or four attempts to delete and then redownload the block chain. What finally did it was manually adding receiver files 69 and 70 to the receiver folder. The wallet seemed to get hung up in at least one spot, but I let it run and after being out for a few hours the wallet was completely synced when I returned.

Devcoin wasn't delisted on CoinGather. Here is an update from the chatbox.

Looks like they'll put the wallet back online once the network gets fixed.

Maybe I'm missing some key detail on how Devcoin's wallet and blockchain function vs Bitcoin and other currencies, but why does having these receiver_XX files missing cause block sync to stall/fail? Aren't the files supposed to download and mirror automatically?

They are manually mirrored (I run one of them). As to why they're not downloading, though, I'm unsure. The mirrors are all up as far as I can tell, and this is something that never happened prior to Receiver_69

That's never happened before. Normally the receiver files get added to the right folder automatically.

Any news on if CoinGather got its wallet fixed?
931  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: May 19, 2017, 04:17:37 PM
but if someone didn't buy all 3 million way back, then the requirement will price most people out at today's prices.

It's a staggering amount of money indeed, but you could argue that exclusivity serves a purpose. Someone with 3 million is either old school or a true believer if they've bought in.

For the super nodes the last thing you want is people flitting in and out. They're designed to be the backbone of the whole thing run by people with a deep commitment.

Good points, especially if there are enough. If there aren't enough, then maybe incrementally reducing the entry barrier until desired number is obtained might be a good plan.

yep, according to BloodyRookie ( Developer) there was enough of them about 1 year ago (it was about twice lower amount of them, then now)

Well, try finding an available slot on any of those nodes to do delegated harvesting! I've gone through the first hundred or so on the list and they are all full.

What would be the configuration to custom add if I just want to use my own computer to harvest?

It looks like my earlier error message came because I was trying to activate delegated harvesting when it's already active. Now I just need to actually start delegated harvesting, but can't find an available slot.

EDIT: Is there a way to set up a regular node that would just allow me to delegate harvest, but isn't a supernode?

932  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: May 19, 2017, 04:04:31 PM
Another question: Is reducing the 3,000,000 XEM minimum holding requirement to run a supernode a possibility? I saw a post here about reducing that requirement to 100,000. If the requirement could get reduced to anything below one million I would jump on it, as I know someone who would help me set it up.

EDIT: I should also ask what is the payment for supernodes these days?

I dont see super node holding requirement changing anytime in the near future if at all.

Also, I am not sure about your error but I know you cant start harvesting until you have a vested balance of at least 10k XEM. So if you just downloaded the wallet I do not think you can start harvesting yet. 1% of your unvested balance will become vested every 1440 blocks which is about 24 hours.

I checked and I have a vested balance that is greater than 10,000 XEM, so that's not the issue. Any other ideas?

OK, good to know. I hope it's at least being talked about. As someone who has tried unsuccessfully to delegate harvest in the past (old wallet), I will say that finding a node I could hook up to for successful harvesting has been difficult. I think with all the expansion underway, the network could use more supernodes, but if someone didn't buy all 3 million way back, then the requirement will price most people out at today's prices.

On the delegated harvesting error I hadn't thought about that. The NEM I want to use to harvest has been consistently sitting at the same address since the very beginning, so I would assume the vesting is already in place. However, if that is not the case and my problem will be solved in ten days, then I guess I can wait.

I'm just assuming you have to restart it (and pay the fee).

Well, it looks like NEM is up, up, up and away...

I think it's time to flood Poloniex with requests to add BTC/NEM to margin trading.

Please help out by completing this simple form once or twice a day: https://poloniex.com/featureRequest

Thanks in advance Smiley

In short, file receiver_69.csv can't be found, all mirrors are down, we need a new mirror and to add it to devcoind source code, then recompile and cross fingers.

My mirror isn't down: http://faucets.cryptoplace.net/receivers/receiver_69.csv

I've been keeping up with it. Not sure how it works but it's not properly pulling from mirrors I assume.

http://devcoin.darkgamex.ch/ is also available
And https://github.com/Unthinkingbit/charity too
develCuy, do you think that this is not enough?

Thanks @sawa and @ranlo! I manually downloaded the receiver_69.csv into .devcoin/receiver/ then started devcoind, now we got the explorer back online:

http://explorer.devcoin.info/

I had this issue before, somehow devcoind marked receiver_69.csv as downloaded but the file was missing, it is not downloading the file again so the program just ends with an error.

Now we have to get back into an exchange because Coingather delisted Devcoin Sad

I wasn't aware CG was removing DVC, Sad. I had around 25 million coins there to help with market-making.

I don't see any indication here that DVC has been delisted. Where on CoinGather does it say? https://www.coingather.com/exchange/DVC/LTC

Log in, look at wallets. DVC is not listed anymore so you can't deposit or withdraw them now. Goes straight from    DOT - DotCoin
   EAC - EarthCoin

And if you had DVC there, your "total value" will now show as 0.00000000 BTC (if that's all you had).

OK, so the trading pair is still up but no wallet. Bummer...

Any other exchange carry DVC?
