18 dias para el lanzamiento del Asset Exchange:

http://www.nxtcommunity.org/

I can't believe they are using that crap.
How much did they get paid for saying that?

Check out the brand new NXT Online Wallet home page: https://wallet.mynxt.info

Great!

Just a tip for making it even better:
It is always better instead of having a big login box for existing users, leaving that place for new users. Otherwise people (like me) are lazy to open a new account.

If the Chinese exchanges are going to close, where would they sell them?  For most Chinese, the non-Chinese exchanges must be as viable as the Chinese ones are for Westerners.
Logic,  Chinese people will sell all on Bitstamp.
Arbitragers and some other clients will do that.  But most Chinese clients would need to open a bank account in the West in order to withdraw dollars from Bitstamp, and then will have to convert those dollars to CNY so that they can spend them at home.  Since the price at Bitstamp is unlikely to go much higher than now in the near future, many will rather sell now at Huobi.

What about Btc-e?

They can sell them for CNH. Of course is not the same than CNY, but they can keep trading with their currency.

"This gave us cause for concern, but experts in the field reassured us the MSC part of sale would be minimal."

They can't expect this when offering a 3:1 better offer when paying with MSC.
The question is, are they idiots or liying?

"Days before the sale we found out the loan amount of MSC would not cover the bitcoin part of the sale, this floored us. A date was set, we had done loads of meetings, talks and interviews stating this. Was MaidSafe going to fail in such a huge step? No we were determined not to. It was suggested we could set the MSC -> BTC rate at 0.3 or 0.4 which we read and nearly collapsed. This was 3 or 4 times market value, how would this be possible. We were convinced to set a rate of 0.2 and the sale could be funded to make sure BTC holders were covered. Again it was stated that MSC would not be above 25% of the sale."

I have no words for this  Shocked Shocked Shocked

930  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Compairing price paid by BTC and MSC Backers of Maidsafe IPO on: May 02, 2014, 08:05:41 AM
The big problem here is that MaidSafe Team was also scammed by MSC... Now they're holding 20% of total MSC supply... and practically that's worth nearly nothing...
The only winners are MSC big holders, who dumped their useless coins.

They wanted over $6 million, but they raised "only" $3 million. This could lead to a liquidity problem or to a second round of crowsale... who knows.

At this stage I think they can't do anything to help themselves or BTC users. If they try to compensate BTC users "printing" more MaidSafe for them, would be really unfair for the BTC users who bought MSC for the "promotion".
Also remember that a lot of BTC users were burned because they bought MSC at ~0.15 and because they got 3h late, now they are with a 50% loss. Even worse, if they bought a big quantity, now they can't dump them, because only $50k in MSC orderbooks. Sadly, they're now bagholders.

The rules were clear before the start. Stop being denial, was our fault for not doing proper calculations before investing. All was public and MSC sales were closed after 3 hours, so we could have avoided this IPO "scam".
Easier said than done... I also lost money. However now I'm happy, because I took a loss, but I'm holding my precious bitcoins again.
It was scary as hell that after IPO ended some people were dumping their MAID at -50% value (bitcoin IPO), just after bitcoin crowdsale being funded in only 48h.

The average IPO sale was around ~2,300 satoshis, but remember that some guys are able to dump at ~1,300 without loses.

Great report! Thanks!
932  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 30, 2014, 12:31:51 PM
Could this pump have been caused by westerners trading on Huobi, who want to get their money out of the exchange by buying btc and transferring it to Stamp or whatever?

This is something I've been wondering for some time. Even if it is chinese, the logical reaction to a pending ban should be to _buy_ asap and transfer to a safe wallet.

I was thinking the same. The best way to avoid future problems would be to buy bitcoins a get out of the exchange fast.
933  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 28, 2014, 08:31:20 PM
Also guys I just thought of this.

What if you want to increase nxt to 10 billion? what would you do with the existing holders? hmmm how about you make their balance (balance*10)?

So? how is this different from this idea by enabling more decimal places?

If the above scenario makes you rethink about my arguements. Please share with us your thoughts and input.

If you do balance *10 in all existing acounts would be the same. Example: 1 of 100 = 10 of 1,000. You have 1% of total supply in both scenarios.

I'm sorry but you are trying to create panic where is nothing.
934  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [NXT] Nxt - Official Thread on: April 28, 2014, 08:25:01 PM
I can't believe you are speaking several pages about this.

1=1.00=1.00000000=1.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000

Satoshi told that this could be implemented also in the future in bitcoin, if needed. This is not diluting, this is adding decimals and nothing changes.

I'm selling MSAFE for bitcoins at ~47% below IPO price! Offer valid only for 24h. First come first serve.
My current selling price is 0.00003150 bitcoin/MSAFE. Only trades worth 1 bitcoin or more.

For each bitcoin you get 31,746 MSAFE!!
IPO was offering 17,000 MSAFE for each bitcoin

I accept escrow, however, you can check I have a high reputation both in bitcointalk and localbitcoins. If escrow is required, expenses will be paid by buyer.

PM or leave a message here if interested!

They were offering 23,800 per bitcoin during the crowdsale.  (17,000 + 40% bonus)

If you count bonus, then it is ~25% below IPO price. This price is the best you can find to buy MSAFE right now.
