Song won't make your dumb choice any smarter. You just lost money like a total fool. And it will only get worse.

Oh quit being an asshole. You dont know the future any better than he does. If he loses, that's unfortunate - but we have yet to see that. Want to come back in 6 months if the price is still not above $450 and insult him? Go ahead. But right now? No.
942  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 06:08:38 PM
It wasn't that long ago (march) we were in the 300s. Then we went up to about 680. BTCgoes up; BTCgoes down.
Don't worry; be happy Smiley

If you trust the pattern repeats, then yes, be happy. If you don't believe in analysing lines on a chart. Though, this is scary
943  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 05:57:15 PM
is it safe to buy now?

Holy shit. I, a bear, was not expecting this. No fucking rebound at all... Incredible sell pressure.

Still, that means there are many people sitting on the sidelines with their new fiat, (from selling), worried they made a bad choice.

The retrace(?) To 465 is still not cancelled.

Then again, I guess I'm in denial that my previous prediction is unfolding so perfectly.

Buy BuY BUY!!!

Sell again at the incoming bull trap. This can't go much lower (yet). Expect double bottom after this mini bull trap (+$10), then much larger bull trap after that (+$30)

BFX, HUOBI, BITSTAMP bids/asks to arbitrary levels - combined

Bids to $400: 10m USD - 24k BTC (>50% from BFX)
Asks to $520: 10m USD - 22k BTC

Bids to $300: 14m USD - 37k BTC (>50% from BFX)
Asks to $620: 19m USD - 37k BTC

Not sure how to get a full orderbook for BTC-E or OKcoin, and I dont think there are any other exchanges worthy of a mention.

Pretty even fight for now though.

Holy hash power, batman!

It's staggering isn't?  Nearly 300 million billion hashes per second.

I remember firing up the Satoshi client and being stoked with 500,000 hashes per second.

MH GH TH

what will they think of next?  Huh

Isnt it Petahash?
947  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 01:58:58 AM
china has broken 2800

Wow. Big asks walls on Okcoin already. This is crazy.
948  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 18, 2014, 12:59:37 AM
People will regret so hard for selling under $600.

If you sell as its going down and buy back cheaper, how do you figure?
What he says is fact because a line on a chart PROVES that the price will approach infinity. There is absolutely no doubt that the price will rocket up by the end of Q1 2015. Its IMPOSSIBLE!! FOR THE PRICE TO STAY THIS FAR BELOW THE LINE. IT WILL APPROACH THE LINE AND OVERSHOOT IT.

ah fuck this

* cutting looses *

Not sure if serious, but, even as a "bear", I dont think this is a good exit price. I'd wait around for $465 then sell.

/Just my guess

950  Economy / Speculation / Re: If the Winklevoss ETF doesn't get approved.... on: September 17, 2014, 07:06:18 PM
If the ETF doesn't get approved wouldn't they just sell all their coins at a huge profit? I think they bought in the single digits.

Could explain the downtrend and heavy sell walls.

They already stated on leaked emails they were going to sell 3q 2014 if price didn't recover. Hmm.

( I totally didn't make that up to scare anyone)
951  Economy / Speculation / Re: What's your emotional state at the moment? on: September 17, 2014, 07:04:48 PM
Calm, but I predict 300s, then steady rise, no bubble, to 1k again over the next 8mo.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 17, 2014, 07:00:34 PM
Growing gap between BTC-E and the other two main USD markets.

http://bfxdata.com/compare/btc.php

Eh, btc-e is oversold. Not a predictor.

We've got bfx/huobi which are very resistant to this latest price drop, and bitstamp/okcoin that want to tank.
953  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who else is waiting for the next buying opportunity ? on: September 17, 2014, 05:25:21 PM
Anyone who said under $450 is sad. No sane person would take the risk to save 0.5%. Full of shit cultists voted for 450. Shameful.
954  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 17, 2014, 05:21:35 PM
...you ask your inspiration (risto, for readers who doesn't know)...

His followers think the world of him...

[img]shameless FUD[img]

Risto's trend line is at ~$2,500 now. There has never been a better time to buy bitcoin! This happens every cycle: everyone becomes convinced that bitcoin is finished, and then it rises again!

CULTISTS!!! BURN THEM
955  Economy / Speculation / Re: SecondMarket Bitcoin Investment Trust Observer on: September 17, 2014, 05:10:37 AM
I wonder how they will react (the investors) if the market continues trending down. Steady buying? Or panic? I kinda imagine panic TBH, if it goes below $400.
956  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 17, 2014, 05:03:04 AM
Another 2k wall on Bitstamp and 3k (combined) walls on BFX. Beautiful, beautiful walls.

Surprising 10 minutes past and only buy activities on Stamp. No panic???

EDIT: Here comes the huge selling.  Cheesy

Pretty standard these days. I'm not totally convinced of this.

Seconds after dumping to 459.51:

06000 28.878
03000 124.40
02000 129.19
01000 64.575
00000 1.749

Unless this is:

A: That buy-wall bot that loves to play games moving the walls in and out (possible, but unlikely)
B: A glitch on Bitcoinwisdom where orders show up after being taken (more likely)

Then.. well, there's a pretty clear conclusion. However, since bitcoinwisdom glitches out a lot and doesnt show individual orders anymore, and instead compounds them.. I'm not sure if this is the "ghost orders" glitch, or what..

Looking at it some more and adding those "peculiar" bids up, it does seem likely that its "option B" - ghost walls on bitcoinwisdom.

Big players are also not generally interested in seeing the value of their holdings evaporate on the whim of lots of small fish day traders. A forty thousand bid wall flicked in and out existence in the low 4xx's last week suggesting serious buying power despite what TA may say.
I've investigated this claim recently (after reading about it on r/bitcoinmarkets) with people who have complete logs of all past orders set on Bitstamp and no trace of this was found. Where did you see this? My guess is it's a bug with the displaying website like I sometimes had happen to me on bitcoinity or clarkmoody.

Yeah, I've never seen this "40k wall" either. Sounds like nonsense.

Blitz: it was widely discussed on bitcoinmarkets..I can't give you absolute proof (never saw it myself).

Derp: You not seeing it means nothing. Just like your perpetual bearish opinion. Smiley

Have I been wrong? Ive been bearish for awhile now. Market continues to trend down. I said short term bullish mid term bearish some months ago. Not right all the time as that is impossible but I'd say my "perpetual bearish opinion" isnt a good insult.

I watch the charts way too much to miss a real 40k wall.. also, I have on idea what a bitcoinmarkets is, but google yielded no results of what you are claiming whatsoever.
