941  Economy / Speculation / Re: FTX recovered $7.3B in Assets and is considering restarting! on: April 13, 2023, 09:44:52 PM
Good news today from the FTX lawyers. They said that over $7.3B has been recovered and they are considering actually rebooting the exchange somewhere in the Q2.

FTT is rallying over 40% on this news, almost topping $2.

The only issue with this is that if assets such as SOL drop back down to <$10 then obviously they won't have $7.3B anymore. Since their largest holding is SOL with owning over 10% of the supply. Either way its a good win since many will get some of their assets back at least. Hopefully this wont be another MtGox which took over a decade.
It was too early to believe this news, they might fool us or not.
Well, the good thing they do is to prove that they are still capable enough as trust can't easily to build up when it was ruined already. We can put MtGox as an example and we should not have to trust easily the exchange that had bought disease to the crypto world. They should have to work hard and show us that they we're safe otherwise, nobody can afford to risk with them back (and lose money again).
942  Economy / Economics / Re: Invest your money wisely - another lesson, Techie tries to suicide. on: April 13, 2023, 09:27:04 PM
This is an example of an investor that invested in crypto without knowledge about this. This will imply the importance of why should spend more time knowing more about the crypto space if we have the plan to put money here and stop believing promising words. It is to keep in mind that this a risky investment and a single mistake that we made will cause losses. It was advisable as we are still learning about crypto, we just put in a small amount and gradually increase our investment if we fully understand this and if also we know the safety precautions needed.
943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 13, 2023, 12:03:45 PM

I think Miami is just overrated because they are a team that is consistent in the playoffs. So, we haven't seen their struggles this season.

I hope they won't be too tired because they need to travel after the game, and the Heat are just fresh at home, practicing how to beat the Bulls.

If we trust the Bulls here, might as well another moneyline bet.

It did take a lot from the Bulls to win at the road, very hostile environment but they seems to be focus that night. Miami is playing again in their homecourt and if they lost this one, obviously it's time for them to rebuild. They haven't got close to the success when they went to finals in the bubble against the Lakers.

But if we look at the numbers, if I'm not mistaken, the Bulls has swept the Heat.

So that alone is a big factor in this game. So I will go with the Bulls +5.5 this early.

They need to rebuild, probably trade away stars like Jimmy because he hasn't been as good as he was before this season in terms of impact to the team. Bulls +5.5 should be a good value since they are coming off a huge win. However, the main concern here is, can they bring the same energy they showed in Toronto?
944  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wagering requirements for withdraw on: April 13, 2023, 08:48:40 AM
but since they are offering a no wagering bonus that is maybe the reason why they are putting this high wagering requirements , like what OP says he needs to withdraw his winning from that bonus game so he is require to deposit and wager first and i think that is a fair play if you are playing from bonus but if you are a regular player who only wants to try getting your luck? like one time hitting ? then i believe that this is not the appropriate site.

With or without bonus, trustdice requires you to wager your deposit 5x before you are allowed to withdraw your money. I prefer not to talk about it is fair or not because a casino reserves the right to have their own rules but I just want to say that 5x wagering requirement for deposit without bonus is just ridiculously high. Hopefully by this topic, trustdice will consider it as suggestion for them and they can adjust their wagering requirement to make it more reasonable.

I agree with that. Other casinos also have wagering requirements. I had an experience with one casino where I tried to withdraw the amount I had deposited since they didn't have the odds of the game I wanted to bet on. However, my withdrawal did not push through, so I contacted support. They said that I needed to wager the whole amount first before making a withdrawal, but the wagering requirement was only x1, unlike the x5 requirement that OP is discussing.
945  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will the altcoin holders hang on until the bull run comes ? on: April 12, 2023, 10:02:59 PM

I believe everyone on this forum has made both good and bad decisions in terms of investing in altcoins. I recently made a mistake buying a lot of Dogecoins after Elon Musk changed the Twitter logo into the Doge logo. Price was surging and due to FOMO, I bought a lot at the price of $0.099 and afterwards it started to dump like hell. If I continue to hold Dogecoins, the price might be dumping even lower but if I sell them now, the losses become concrete and I'll never have a chance to win back. Have you ever had the same experience ? What did/would you do ? Please share your opinions. By the way, I am with FireDAO team, in charge of the global community. Please contact me if you have any inquiry.
Not quite a big mistake dude, you actually follow what you think is right and besides, many people had also gained profit from investing in Dogecoin but unfortunately, the time does not give you a favor, I think you come late. But, I was believing that you can still make money for this project, you only have to wait for the next hype and sell them right away.

But on the other side, whether we make mistakes or make wrong decisions but I don't think we need to regret doing it. Instead, consider this as a lesson to learn and avoid such decisions in the future.
946  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ETH has the capacity to pass BTC? on: April 12, 2023, 09:42:16 PM
The way and manner of speed ETH bullish at times makes me feels one day, the pump price ratio of ETH may outgrow BTC not in terms of how much is BTC or ETH? But the ratio speed of pumps per bull. I remember 2018 when ETH was less than $150 but ETH takes two weeks to bull market. If somebody should be wise enough ETH would be the next 28k dos.
NO, because it was not the only basis that we would think it happen. No matter how much the ETH pump, Bitcoin will remain the number 1 among crypto. In fact, you can see a lot of altcoins had pumped huge that ETH or even BTC but still, it never change their position because this is not the way how to measure what coin is on the number 1 or number 2 but the role and potentiality of the said project.
Well, it was an impressive growth of ETH and investors are happy to see it but doubted if this will take for long as it was still dependent on BTC after all.
947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 12, 2023, 11:56:10 AM
They win, but they didn't cover the spread because the initial handicap was -6.5.

Both games were won by the underdogs as they covered the handicap. I am thinking of following this trend for tomorrow's games, specifically by betting on Bulls ML and +5.5, as well as OKC ML and +5.5.

Additionally, I believe tomorrow's Bulls vs Raptors game will have a low score, so I plan to bet on under 213.5. Even though there has been a line movement since it opened at 216.5, I still think 213 is high.
948  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 12, 2023, 11:15:49 AM
Still, I might be wrong that the TNT will tie the series, but there's a high chance that they will because of how teams are playing in the past years in the PBA Finals. Just look at the first 2 games of the PBA Finals on the recent Philippine Cup, and Commissioner's Cup.

Most likely that we will have a tied series after game 2 because of the trend and with how TNT plays at the moment. They lead now by double digits, 12 points to be exact at the end of the first half with Jefferson and Mikey Williams leading the way with 13 points apiece while for Ginebra it is only Brownlee who registered double-digits thus far.

Low scoring ball game so far, my bet of under 210.5 might win this time  Grin.

TNT gained control in the first half, and they might continue to play better in the second half. This is necessary because Ginebra is usually good in the second half. Brownlee only scored 7 points in the first half, which is uncharacteristic of him. I think Brownlee has learned how to play the script already.
949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: April 11, 2023, 12:03:22 PM
There are games tomorrow:

Atlanta Hawks vs Miami Heat -5
Timberwolves vs LA Lakers -8

Share your thoughts here. I think the Hawks vs Heat game is quite difficult to predict compared to the Lakers vs Timberwolves game. Let's discuss these games.
950  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Nghitumbwa (May 13) on: April 11, 2023, 10:45:44 AM
Im not really that so convinced that Nghitumbwa would really be having that kind of crowd pressure considering that he held that belt then its impossible that he isnt really get used to big crowd.
You wouldnt really be able to achieve up such state or condition if you do easily get rattled when ever you do able to encounter this kind of ambiance which it is unlikely would be an issue.
Speaking about experience then Casimero is really on edge but he shouldnt really be that confident when it comes to this because we know that upsets
could really fucked you up hard if you are really that careless.

Should be a warm-up fight for Casimero. If he loses here, say goodbye to his goal of becoming a world champion again.

Nghitumbwa is nowhere within top rankings and recognized boxers. If Casimero will struggle against him, what's more to the top ranked boxers.

Casimero just neeeds again to impress the boxing fans with a good KO win. If he do that, WBO might moved up him in rankings to at least Top 5.

I see this fight the same way. Nghitumbwa should be a great matchup for him if he goes toe to toe. Nghitumbwa is a knockout artist himself, which means he relies on his power a lot to win. This also means he'll be an aggressive fighter, something we haven't seen in Casimero's opponents in a while.
951  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: High gas fee for sending token is still a problem on: April 10, 2023, 09:51:33 PM

Yes, high gas fees have always been a problem. This becomes a bigger problem when someone holds a small value token in their personal wallet and wants to sell it for some reason, as gas becomes more expensive than the value of their token. And this is why many people refrained from trading Erc-20 tokens due to Ethereum's high gas fees.  And new projects started to build their tokens on Bep-20 by skipping Erc-20. But Ethereum's gas fees have dropped significantly in recent times

Yeah! unlike before, gas fees are the main problem and the reason why my altcoins in my bounty ETH wallet are stuck until now because back then when you want to sell them, you cannot unless you sent some huge amount of gas fees in your wallet and it's not really worth it because you only get few returns from the bounty rewards you get minus the gas fees you spent. That's based on my personal experience and also you cannot rush to sell your altcoins whenever the gas fees are high.
Most of us are getting affected by this. Imagines moving $20 worth of token and then paying 10$ as a gas fee due to network congestion, you can never find that it is worth it, we ended up not sending any more. That is why many bounty and airdrop hunters are too disappointed but can't help it anymore because it was already a long issue and never had any solutions. I think we need to embrace that this is gonna happen in ERC20 tokens and ETH. We can never expect that to turn back low but rather think it increases.
952  Economy / Speculation / Re: What about the little increase? on: April 10, 2023, 09:28:24 PM
The little increase that has occurred since january certainly makes us optimistic that a bull run is imminent, many analysts recommend buying immediately so that we can get big profits, and i have also followed the advice and bought in april now around $450 at prices varying from $26 k to $28k, all I do now is be patient.
You earn more if you never ignore buying Bitcoin while it was just at $20k and below but what you are doing is that you wait for someone told you to buy. Well anyways, at least you follow what these people are saying and remain optimistic. Whether the current pump is an indication of an upcoming bull run or not, I know that Bitcoin price will never stay low but there is a time that it will grow. Yes, patience is always a key to success.
953  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you profitable? on: April 07, 2023, 11:02:45 AM
...
My question is are your profitable trader and can you share you journal or something ?, many of us will feel motivated.
I have nothing much to show to encourage people but yes, I was in profit. Many times I suffered losses and sometimes I even think about quitting but never, instead, I make myself clear about what I really wanted to happen and that is to learn more first before thinking about earning a huge profit. I tell you that it is a must for us traders, especially for newbies to be focused on our goal. Yes, our goal is to earn more but this becomes impossible if we are just contented with what we learned in the past, instead we need to learn more and make everything we did every day a lesson to ponder.
954  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Meme coins still a good invest? on: April 07, 2023, 05:36:23 AM
I just read someone's post if Elon promised to change the Twitter logo to doge, if this is true of course in the future there will be a significant price increase in the price of doge.
that actually has already occurred so its not a promise anymore and indeed the value is increasing quite significantly, meme coin is always fueled by shills, it's not utility and real use case that helps them gaining new all time high but shills and it seems shilling that comes from famous figure like elon really being valued so highly by the meme coin community.
And the impact is huge. Well, most of us are expected that be going to happen anyway since we know how influential is Elon Musk especially when we are talking about Doge and we also his support of this project. So if ask if investing in Dogecoin is worth it, why not try it at this time but please never think about holding them for long as its price eventually just dumps when the hype is over just like in the old days.
Invest wisely and consider that not all coins are for long-term investments, some are also just for a short period of time.
955  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What can be the best way of controlling emotions while trading ? on: April 07, 2023, 04:54:30 AM
What can be the best way of controlling emotions while trading ?
It was not just trying to control your emotions but pushing it until you look like a robot with no feelings anymore. But we should have to do this? I think, not. We don't need to be perfect in trading as it was impossible but we can do better in trading even though we have emotions and the only thing we can do is not so hurry in making a decision, it should be analyzed well. This we what we usually missed, we keep rushing and so it fails and makes wrong calls.
956  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Doge worth investing? on: April 06, 2023, 09:29:29 PM
I do not have any investment in Doge yet but am thinking about it.

I am looking for investments that will 5-10x next bull run and looks like this is a good bet considering it's all time high is $0.70.

Many say it will go past $1 next bull run and it could well do but think I would get out around $0.70 which would be a 7x if I was to invest at todays price of $0.10.

Would be good to hear some views on this - are you for or against Doge?
Not I would say that Doge is a good investment because it was a meme coin but yes, there is something we need to consider being practical, we can't deny that investing in hyped projects will give us more profit. I won't stop either but there is one thing I should say - don't hold Doge for long, sell them when the bull run comes as it was not meant for long-term holding. Yet, it was just profitable during the hype, so don't wait until it was over before you sell them otherwise, you will lose.
957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 11:34:57 AM

Gonna be difficult for the Lakers specially against the Suns, who have Kevin Durant back in the line up now and Booker still playing good basketball even if Durant is in the floor with him.

They are not going to face the Suns, as they will likely participate in the play-in tournament. If they succeed, they will face the Memphis Grizzlies, who are currently ranked second in the standings. This will be a tough challenge for Memphis, as they will be facing a team that has already won a championship. So, we can expect to see many upsets in the upcoming playoffs.
958  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Another scam email attempt on: April 06, 2023, 11:07:48 AM
I'm not receiving yet an email like this but at least, I have an idea already of what should I gonna do. Ignoring and never clicking links is the best thing to do and also, take a pause first before deciding or putting a conclusion on unsolicited emails. We know hackers are too aggressive and if they can find leaks in your security, that was easy for them to get in and take control of our accounts. It happens already and many people had lose their funds, I think that is enough and we have to put an end to this thing together.
959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: April 06, 2023, 03:33:19 AM

Gin kings have all the upper hands here. If they will really push personally, they can also sweep TNT, just saying.

That seems a bit harsh. I don't think it's likely that Ginebra will sweep TNT, as they are a competitive team with players like Jason Castro and a good import. Additionally, Mikey Williams is always capable of providing a spark for the team. It will be an exciting and competitive series for sure.

Both teams have had a big break before the Finals. They should be fully prepared for their first game this coming Sunday. Although it's difficult to predict the outcome, Sunday's game is sure to have plenty of fans watching, particularly the Ginebra game. Since this is the Finals, the team can expect huge support, so I believe that Ginebra will likely win Game 1.
Regardless of the spread, Ginebra should be the pick for Game 1. I don't think Ginebra will be favored by more than four points in this game, as that would be disrespectful to TNT, who beat them before the Finals. I believe a spread of -2.5 for Ginebra would be reasonable. It's already tempting, and they should be able to cover that if they win.
960  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: April 06, 2023, 03:09:42 AM
And it looks like the Dallas Mavericks will win their game against the Kings. As they have a good lead now, and they are hitting their 3's and Christian Wood in a big help. Luka and Irving too has a nice game to boot.

However, the NOP are leading against the Grizzlies in a surprised twist of even. The Pelicans force a OT, and if I'm not mistaken, if they win this games, the Mavs are out of the playoff (correct me if I'm wrong).
Dallas Mavericks won! Finally. Sacramento Kings truly gave them a difficult time. The game was very competitive with Fox and Tim Hardaway going at each other. But the star of the night will be Kyrie Irving. He does things that cannot be explained. That three-point shot at the corner was just impossible with the shot clock winding down and a defender in your face. He still nailed it though.

Now they have 38 wins tied with OKC Thunder. They still have a chance to enter the play-in tournament if they can lock in all the games with a win.
They don't want a tiebreaker to happen because the record against OKC is 2-1 in favor of the Thunder. I just wish they always play this hard on both ends of the floor.
The Oklahoma City Thunder could win their next game, even though it's on the road. As for the Dallas Mavericks, the only game that could pose a problem is their match against the Chicago Bulls. That should be a crucial game for them, and they will need to win it. The Bulls may relax a bit in this game, as they have already qualified for the play-in tournament so they should not waste this opportunity.
