961  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Preparations for BTC Halving and bull market on: September 08, 2023, 06:25:46 PM
Is it too late already? I don't think so, it takes only a single day for Bitcoin to lose 40% of it's value and we still have few months before the next halving, That's a lot of time left and anything can still happen.

As for me and as far as experience goes, yeah it might be too late.
However, even in the bull run you can continue to grow and save Bitcoin specially right after the halving.
So I guess the name of the game is that, the earlier the better. Maybe last year if we start at the last 6 months, and then maybe invested or bought during the lowest low price of $15,500 and the continue till this year, we might have a big amount of Bitcoin in our wallet.
But I guess everyone is very different and as I have said, if you have experience the last bear market and bull run, you could have a idea when to start accumulating Bitcoin in preparation for the next bull run (how time flies, next year we will be at this cycle again).
962  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 08, 2023, 06:08:13 PM

With regards to the potential Canelo vs. Bud next year, it sounds crazy but really doable if Canelo approves it. If I were Canelo, I would take it since it is the biggest fight in boxing right now. He will be bashed a lot though if he wins and it could be worse if he loses to someone who moves up two divisions. I like Bud to win but I believe Canelo will be too much and destroy him.

No doubt, it would be the best fight ever since the guy will not hesitate to move just for the sake of beating Canelo and it will be the best opportunity for him as well because he won't need to sacrifice much since he is comfortable in their weight division, it would be best for him to accept such fight in order to fully raise their flag and we will seeing another huge fight next year once again.

Canelo should take that opportunity, as Crawford is at a big disadvantage if he moves up just to fight him. Take the win and earn a lot of money; that's good for him. He also has a big chance to destroy Crawford's dream of becoming an undisputed champion again. One thing that this fight guarantees is that both fighters are going to make a lot of money, so there's no reason this would not happen.

Good point, as we know that it's more on business and if the price is right, both fighters will be convinced to take one another, I think if Canelo will take this fight and win Crawford's hype will turned to him, I mean the current popularity of Crawford after beating Spence will go all the way to Canelo, and from that point, there's more money to expect whoever will be the next fighter to challenge him.

All will be depend on how the negotiation will work and what are the conditions between these two camps, but there's nothing wrong to expect if the fight will take place.

Crawford is enjoying the popularity he has now, and he wants to aim for a bigger challenge to become even more popular. He is not even thinking about his disadvantage; probably, as other boxers might just challenge a champion in a catchweight. However, Crawford is different; he wants to go up three weight divisions higher just to face the champion. I like the confidence of Crawford right now, as he leaves Canelo with no excuses for not taking this fight.

So, after Canelo beats Charlo, I think this fight will start to hype.

Crawford displaying this kind of guts and confident towards the whole boxing industry, it truly gives us a hard time to even doubt what he's thinking because we know that he wouldn't jump into cases that he knows he got only less chance in winning. And so I know that if he wanted to take this road then he sure do knows what he is doing, and we should trust them for that.

I even have some thought that he may have an upper hand against a man who literally owns and dominate his own weight class, Canelo Alvarez.

Most likely it was because of his confident win over Crawford, plus he and his team might see something in Canelo specially after the John Ryder fight.
Funny thing is that there are a lot of individuals in the boxing community that say Crawford can win. I say funny because one of them is his former manager Oscar dela Hoya.
But we all know where Oscar is coming from, and it seems that he is still hurt when Canelo severe his tie with him.
Seriously though, it boils down on the result of the Charlo against Canelo fight.
If Canelo wins, then maybe we can see his fighting Crawford next.
963  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How does an online Foodbetting site sound? on: September 08, 2023, 05:54:04 PM
Nah, not sure about Food betting though, doesn't sounds right. But the world is moving very fast right now that we have weird competitions and sports already.
And for me I don't consider it a sports though, I mean how can someone categorically call it a sports?
Just like the majority, I'm not a fan of it and so I wouldn't bet if ever there will be one offered by crypto sports bookies.
I'm old school so for me sports like tennis, boxing, UFC/MMA and football.
964  Other / Off-topic / Re: Keeping your gambling habit a secret. on: September 08, 2023, 03:20:03 AM
Some people that are addicted hide their gambling activities because they believe if people notice the amount they spend on gambling, then they will be blamed. Some people might end up spending money that is supposed to be spent on their family members on gambling, which is wrong, so they won’t want their family members to know they are spending that amount of money on gambling.

Also, for some people, gambling is illegal in their religion, and most of them want to gamble, so they will rather gamble and keep it secret so that people won’t see them as bad people, so they decide to keep it a secret.

Anyone being responsible whenever gambling shouldn’t have to hide that they play sometimes.

I think there are positions or jobs that might require you to hold a lot of money and so not saying that you will steal something, but if you are a gambler there could be some temptations.
That's why if you work on that job, it's better not to gamble or not to show it to others.
Another good example if you are a government employee, at least in our place, it is frown upon if you have been seen in a gambling casino.
Of course everyone can manage their gambling activity or worst become a gambling addict. But there could be consequences when you have something to protect and then you still go and play and gamble, IMHO.
965  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why is bitcoin moving now? on: September 08, 2023, 03:04:45 AM
I think bitcoin will continue to move sideways and this situation will last even longer. A few days ago I saw a news report saying that a lot of investors are leaving the market and it shows no signs of stopping. Looks like this is the last time to shake off the weak hands, the last bad projects before entering a new bull cycle.

Bitcoin has not had any noticeable movement in the past several months and this has left many investors depressed and losing hope. It can be said that this period is really terrible that we need to get through. I am not optimistic about bitcoin between now and the end of the year.

Yeah, I hope we can get rid of weak/fake project since this type of project wipes investor from investing again in the crypto industry, but the real problem is when the bull cycle start fake token or fake project will start to float on the market again. so it's hard to totally wipe out all of it.

As much as I wanted that, I doubt that it can be done in one full sweep. For me the way to get rid of them is a heavy regulation.
But we don't what that because it will contradict the very tenant of crypto currency.
So it's going to be for investors to do their own investigation before pouring their big money on some projects in the beginning.

and also yes that some investor is depressed and losing hope, I also heard that the SEC is going to raise the interest rate this September if they do the Bitcoin price might fall again. Secondly, Bitcoin ETF application is still not yet approved at this time, but when this get approved this gonna be huge win for Bitcoin.

I haven't heard about the raise of interest rate this September, but if they did I would agree that it will have a negative effect again on the price.
However, if you look at todays price, it seems that we have overcome $25,000 as we move to $26,300, which is a good sign this month.
966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to Control Your Emotions and Win More Bets on: September 06, 2023, 08:45:46 PM
The question is, it is really our brain that controls our emotion? Or our heart?
And I doubt that as a gambler, we can win more games because of our brain being positive.
I mean it's all about the odds and our extreme luck. If we have luck on our side, then we might go for more wins because we "feel", and our brain and heart tell us to play for more.
So it's really very hard to control ones emotion, regardless if we are winning or losing. The only way to win more bets is to stop when you are winning and not go for another run.
967  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 06, 2023, 08:23:46 PM
I still can't see odds on this fight. But I am expecting Casimero to be the favorite. Oguni is not really a solid fighter that would threaten Casimero. He's not in the current rankings in his division. Although this fight will happen in Oguni's home country and that is his advantage, I don't see how Casimero would be affected. Casimero has been entering lions den in the past, going to his opponents' backyard and win. If the ML odds for Casimero isn't that low, it's a safe bet.
As far as boxing odds goes, specially if there are no hype like this one, most likely the odds are going to be put out in the last minutes. Most likely maybe a day or two on our favourite sport bookies.

But if we look at the records, it's obvious that John Riel Casimero will be the odds favorite here. And I doubt see a enticing odds on the ML. Might be better if it will be listed to look for other options like per round, or round range bet.

Other bookies might not be that interested too in listing their bout because this is just a small fight with no anything on the line and only the people who are an avid fan of boxing might know Casimero but for the others who are just interested in big fights, then this is not for them that's why some bookies might not list it as not everyone are inclined to see it.

I think they will have to list it though, I haven't seen crypto sport bookies missed a boxing schedule fight.
Usually their book makers have this schedules already and might calculating the possible odds already.
But as what others have said, if it is a small fight, they might delay the listing to possible the date of the fight itself.
And if we are looking to bet on this fight, then we can't do anything but to wait. I'm not sure though if there is some notification from sports casinos that a new fight betting odds have been listed?

Yes, and it will be a big challenge on the part of Crawford though, again as we said, he will be going up in 3 weight classes and facing one of the best Super middle weight, not just in this era.
But I like the what BoMac has said, he will also take this as an opportunity, on how he will outsmart Canelo's trainer which is Eddy Reynoso.
So this is not like just a fight for this boxers, but for their trainer as well. BoMac outsmart Derrick James when Crawford beat Spence.
And BoMac could be running for a obvious Trainer of the Year with that victory.
969  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: September 04, 2023, 05:36:54 AM
I think with regards to giving Casimero a chance, Casimero must prove himself a bit more on this weight division.  He must secure impressive wins against his upcoming opponent to impress the boxing council and possibly consider him as the top contender of that division.
He certainly needs to prove everything in this division because it's not the same anymore when he was still at 118 where he dominated each and every opponent he faced.
This time, it's new to him and the people, even the bodies are still not that convinced of what he did hence why he got a much lower rank because if these bodies have thought the opposite then Casimero should've started in the Top 10 like the other boxers who made a name in their previous weight classes.

I agree, in 118 lbs it was different Casimero that we have seen as he put up a destruction path, beating his opponents by KO/TKO along the way.
But this time, this is 122 lbs and we can say that he is relatively unknown, and the way he introduce himself, not looking good, no highlight KO win or anything.
One is controversial ending his first fight, and the second it was a 12 round decision.
So now he needs to proved himself by winning against a not so good opponent, a cherry pick fight for him to look good and maybe he can get the attention of Inoue.
Maybe in this fight, we will finally see a KO win from him. It has been proven on his side that when a fighter moves up in weight, their power can be affected. Perhaps that's the reason why he hasn't been as destructive lately, unlike Inoue, who has been able to maintain his power and speed in the new division. I don't see any reason for Inoue not to fight Casimero, considering he's the best fighter. So, let's hope that Casimero continues to win and has an impressive victory.

Inoue's path to winning all the belts would be easy, as Tapales is not a top-ranked fighter. While he was a champion, he wasn't as popular as Casimero. So, I believe his reign as champion will be short-lived.

Yes, it might have a slight effect on his power, as his opponent might be used to taking bigger shots than what Casimero can throw.
But still though, it is his ticket in this weight class, he needs to win, and win impressively with a knockout so that he can have a potential date with Inoue.
And they chooses the right opponent for him, a cherry pick fight and we should see no less than a knockout.
Also, Casimero shouldn't take his opponent lightly, he also needs to train harder and think of the future as a motivation for this fight.
970  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 04, 2023, 05:26:58 AM
There is a rumor floating around that Errol Spence had broken his ties with long time trainer Derrick James.
Again, this is just a rumor and could be fake news, but we all know that when fighters suffer their first defeat, they usually change trainers.
Just like with Anthony Joshua. And they said that the replacement will be Roy Jones. But that's where it gets interesting as Roy Jones for me is not a good trainer.
So let's see if there is some truth in this rumor, and if this is true, then it's big. I mean, he want's to go up to 154, but there might be his closest buddy in James stable which is Jermell Charlo (who is fighting Canelo at 168 lbs).
Charlo can go back to 154 lbs if he wanted or if he losses, then there is a potential fight between Spence and Charlo and also Spence as 154 lbs.
971  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 03, 2023, 08:03:52 AM
What is the reason that sport bettors still continue to place sport bets?
Sports betting is an interesting game because there is something we have to wait for on tomorrrow. So if we compare it with another game, sports betting is indirect to knowing the result straight. And, there are also some people who don't like watching football if don't place a bet. the spectacle wouldn't be interesting if it wasn't bet on one team between them, whatever who is playing, even a big or popular team, if he don't bet one of the team, he was reluctant to watch it.

There are games that you can bet right away, you don't need to wait for tomorrow to get the results.
To be frank, I don't think that gamblers bet on sports and wanted to wait to see the results though.
Sports betting might be very interesting and fun, you can see your bets right away when the team started to play.
And you are not sure though even in the last minute if you are going to win or not.
Most likely this is the reason why it is so loved, and remember sports is global so everyone might have followed their teams since the beginning and very familiar with players and the league itself.
So at least they have some advantage, the knowledge of the sports that can help him win their beats.
972  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Token Promotion on: September 03, 2023, 07:50:14 AM
Tell me how to promote the token? And which exchanges have the cheapest listing?
Are you kidding right now,  because I have not heard anything like listing fees for exchange for a long while now,  I thought coins/tokens get listed without any fees and in most cases what is required for the coin to get listed on too big exchanges is the coin potentials and the ability to prove to exchange that it will be a good project if and when listed.

Top exchanges as far I know, charges huge amount to get them listed, again, if my memory serves me right,  could be around 1 BTC.
But this is way back around 2017-2018. So for sure listing in top exchanges like Binance could have hefty sum of money.

Any exchange that takes fees from projects to list their coins is not legit at all since scam projects could easily pay the fees just to get their coin listed and thereafter do an exit scam on the coin holders.

Exchanges take fees because it's business though, I mean it's like they are the facilitator, so as a project, you will used their name to have your coin on them.
So it's mutually exclusive, exchanges facilitate you pay them, you used their trading platform. Your project them will be exposed to traders.
Maybe in the beginning, this project doesn't have any money to list to top exchange that's why they chooses the cheapest, but for me, this is not good practice.
Better to start your foot in a good exchange regardless of the fees because for sure you can get it back.

974  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cockfighting? on: September 03, 2023, 07:20:52 AM
From the point of view of an American from NY, or from SF, or from some traditional inhabitant of a European country, of course, cockfights are wild and cruel entertainment.  This is the approach we have.

However, if you ask someone from a country where cockfighting is part of the tradition of this people, then for such people this is normal. If this happens in a village where there are a lot of chickens and roosters, then for these people it is normal.
Different approaches to this problem clearly say that no one will ban cockfighting in such places.
I agree with you on that, it depends on where you are from that makes up your mindset towards some things cockfight is such an extinct and unpopular game and at many people from those parts of the world that believe and see the animal as worthy to have protections and law to guide such animal right, citizens from such countries will truly see cockfighting as cruel games.
But some other part of the world still sees and approves of cockfighting as a game and even if it is not played on a large scale, cockfighting is one of the most isolated games because even in such countries where it is allowed, cockfighting still remains unpopular.

Yes, even in the US wherein there was a lot of breed of cockfighters, they were outlawed already, so meaning they are not allowed legally.
And everyone is correct, the only reason that they are banned in the US is because of animal cruelty.
But across the border of US, let's say Puerto Rico, you might see cockfighting as being allowed.
However, casinos are not going to have it in their platform simply because it is hard to promote because of animal cruelty.
975  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Are some cryptos decentralized while some are not? on: September 02, 2023, 09:51:23 PM
Hearing about Blockchain and cryptocurrency, I got to know that they offer a decentralized system of finance, where each user has control over their crypto, deciding on how and when to use their crypto.

That's why when we heard the buzz word about decentralized finance or DeFi, we can only think of Bitcoin as the only crypto currency that fits this description. No altcoins could be Defi, technically, almost all of them are centralized.

But again, I've heard about investors losing their money in crypto due to irregularities from the project owners. And this brings me to wonder if these teams still have control over the crypto that is supposed to be decentralized? Or is it that some cryptocurrencies are decentralized while some are not?

There are many ways that investors lost money, there could be exit scams, hacks or just what you describe, owners themselves turns rouge and steal all the crypto of their investors. And with that, as a investors, just be careful where you put your money, that's why majority here invest it in BTC as we have total control of our seed and private key.
976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 02, 2023, 09:32:46 PM
I am checking that in every single league of the big ones we have seen at least some surprise result and this is the typical weekend of many of the sport bettors.I wonder why do people still place sport bets because in slot machines I can understand, they run after the maximum payout and they know it is a game of pure luck, yet in here in sport betting it is not only pure luck, there is also skill involved and seeing many of the stronger teams lose their game today means that it is not worth doing anymore sport betting.

What is the reason that sport bettors still continue to place sport bets?

It's because it's sport betting we depend on our analysis, of course it will not be 100% guaranteed to be hit, there were times that there will be upset in sports.
But at least it's not just base on pure luck alone, I mean it's like some card games, it's base on how you look at the game and what will be your strategies to be able to win.
In slots, you are not in control, you just based it when the machine will give you the pay-outs and most likely it won't if you are not that lucky.
Definitely, if you have big capital and bet big, sooner or later you will have a good chance to win a bonus round. And probably this is what makes slot very attractive.
977  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: September 02, 2023, 09:22:18 PM

Don't worry mate, it's not a disrespect if we're not saying these things to him face to face because we aren't even that close to him to begin with.
But since we are here to weigh the chances and to choose a much better option for our bets regardless of which boxer we support, it's somehow evident that Tapales's chance is quite lower compared to Inoue who have been dominating every boxer he has faced and Tapales will not be an exemption, and just like the others, he will be a stepping stone for Inoue.

And just to add up, Inoue is surely the heavy favorite here, and that's not disrespecting anyone but it's according to data though Tapales
might have more belts in this division than Inoue,

But the winning chance and the way of finishing the fight will side to Inoue, though as always, boxing is not exempted from those unusual outcomes.

Upset may take place as both fighters will have their time to train and to scout their opponents we never know
what Tapales camps will execute during the fight that might surprise and upset Inoue.. Just saying..

Both of them have the same amount of belts, Inoue holds the WBC and WBO while Tapales holds the other two, which is WBC and IBF.

Although, judging both fighters by how they claimed those said belts against their former opponent, Inoue had the amazing one because he defeated Fulton by a way of knockout which was believed as the more stronger compared to Akhmadallev while Tapales defeated Akhmadallev by a split decision. So, we can already say that Inoue truly have an edge in this fight even if we will forget their past five fights before they became a champion.

Could be equal though, I mean Tapales was the underdog against Akhmadallev and no one even give him a chance to win.
But look at what he do, he outsmart and out think Akhmadallev in their fight that Akhmadallev wasn't able to recover mentally.
And he wanted a rematch against Tapales because he was shook, but Tapales has bigger fish to catch and that is Naoya Inoue.
Nevertheless we really don't know if he can do it, to make another upset, and Tapales win here, it could really be the biggest upset of the year.

Tapales was lucky enough to rid of Murodjon Akhmadaliev because the latter's camp hasn't had the idea to bring up a rematch clause before they draw and signed the contract of their fight. That gives me some though that perhaps it wasn't an honest mistake made by the team because they were the champion, and it was big hole that they didn't fill and so I think that they might've underestimated Tapales hence why there wasn't a rematch clause.

Yes, most likely this is the case for the camp of Murodjon Akhmadaliev.
They have been the champion and to be honest, we really haven't heard of Marlon Tapales before.
It was all Nonito Donaire and Casimero and other Filipino at 118-122 lbs, and Marlon is just climbing up.
But it was a total surprised when Marlon pull one of the biggest upset when he beat a tough Murodjon Akhmadaliev, outboxing him very clearly and the judge was right about the score.
Now Murodjon Akhmadaliev camp is going to figure it out on how to become a champion again and probably not make the same mistakes.

Anyone heard about Manny Pacquiao coming out of the retirement to compete in the 2024 Olympics in Paris?
It's crazy! well, Manny have done a lot of crazy things before and I don't know how they are going to pull this one up to make it happen when the qualifying event in Asian games for 2024 Olympics only allows 40 yrs old age limit for all of the sport. Pacquiao being 44 won't gonna qualify in the Asian games. Though there might be some arrangements for Pacquiao to qualify in the Olympics but it is for sure going to be the hardest part.

Please provide a link to the source of this information; it would be interesting to know if there's a real chance that he will be able to represent the country. At his current age, despite having retired from boxing already, he still shows passion and love for his country as he wants to contribute. However, he is already 44 years old. I think he should focus his time on making money, such as through exhibition fights, and leave professional boxing opportunities to the younger generation, as they need them for their future careers.

I dig deeper and this is what I found,Manny Pacquiao wants to fight in Paris Olympics

So yeah, probably the rumor is true, but I do agree, let the young generation of Filipino boxers lead the way. If I'm not mistaken, they have gotten Silver as well for their boxers in the last Olympics so maybe now they will go out and bring everything they got to secure the first ever gold in boxing for the country. And it's kinda late for Manny to dream a Olympic medal, he has done so much to boxing, his influence is greater than anyone in the Philippines and other parts of the world.
979  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple Unlocks One Billion XRP, What will impact on it’s Price? on: September 01, 2023, 09:18:27 PM
I just noticed that ripple price fall to almost $0.4 today, it fall than other altcons on my list on the exchange that I am trading. This 1 billion ripple they unlock is just the reason.

Let me see if the coin will fall more in price so that I can gamble with it at a lower price and hold it. If bitcoin will fall to $20000, it will not be easy on altcoins like ripple that will fall more.
This might have been because today at 8:00am UTC there was an evernode airdrop For XRP Holders, so people might have sold right after the airdrop. As waiting for the airdrop is often only reason for not selling before it. And obviously there probably were bunch of leverage shorters just waiting for it. One billion XRP isn't really that much from total supply.

Yes, might be another reason for the dip, and obviously what the OP said, them unlocking one billion XRP could also have a huge impact.
Anything we heard about unlocking from any project will cause the price to decline in my opinion, as the supply goes larger, (basic supply and demand law).
And maybe the ripple effect that Bitcoin has to altcoin market, as it goes down hard again in the last 24-48 hours and so other it had domino to altcoin or even in some stocks as well.

Now the part that I've like to share is their negligence of one of the main reason why they fell is because its owners have lost the control to their keys. Yes, you've heard that right, they've lost the seed phrase of their wallet.

This is too bullshit reason to file bankruptcy for their losses since they are custodial company which ironic to lost their keys while their service is safely manage invetors funds.  Losing private key is the most convenient reason to file loss on crypto since it’s very to prove that you are lying unless polygraph test is admissible in court.

This is an exit plan and probably this coin will sleep in there for a long time untile the issue cool down while solving everything using the bankruptcy funds.

Yeah, most likely this is just a excuse that they have lost their keys to their main wallet.
LOL, this is laughable as they supposedly Prime "trust", but then forget about their private keys, and obviously this is the best exit strategy for anyone.
Just like when the founder of Quadriga CEO, Gerald Cotten died, he had all the keys in their wallet and so all the customers money where gone.
I'm not sure who has the authority here, and maybe prosecute Prime Trust for their financial negligence.
And maybe this will set a precedence for other companies as well to just file for bankruptcy if they have problems and then with the same bullshit reason.
