I tell you a bit about my start in Bitcoin, I feel ridiculous, but it's like this:

I started on the Internet in its beginnings, MSDOS and then in Windows, I had my time in web pages and in the purchase of domains, but unfortunately I never heard about Bitcoin, it was in August/September of 2017 when I bought Bitcoin for the first time.

I still do not understand how it is possible to be immersed in the network since 1990 with domains, web pages, design, servers and never have news of Bitcoin.

It seems fate kept me away for some reason.

I'm late and I feel like I'm hanging in the last carriage of the train. Sad

Always Hodl with a small part for the trade.

I would have liked to be here from the beginning of the WO thread, I would probably have more BTC.

imho 95% of very early buyers of btc don´t own a large btc stash anymore.

-lost/destroyed hardware
-lost private keys
-spent for pizza or other stuff
-got hacked
-some bad trades
-going full retard as "daytrader"
-sold because it finally went over $10
-lost btc on mtgox and other exchanges
-bought shitcoins
-fell for scams
-invested in butterfly labs or other vaporware
-believed the bcash lies
-believed in the ETH flippening
-etc, etc

you are still early. mass adoption not here yet. if you manage to hodl a few whole btc you are going to be allright.rich.

Backtest your emotions. We've seen five of these blowoff tops. Factor the next one in before it gobsmacks you.

That's some OG sense.

my problem seems to be not to recognize the blowoff tops correctly. 2013 bull move exploded from $120 to $1200 in one month. doubled within a day at the end. 2017 top went there much slower. when it was around $20k I expected a blowoff to $30k or $50k. I was monitoring BETI and it did not work for me.

maybe the blowoff momentum went into shitcoins in dec 2017. i missed it completely, was shell shocked and only able to unload 1/3 of stash around $8.5k.

I know what will happen next time around: in an attempt to not be late again I will sell at $50k and then price will paint a blowoff to $100k or $150k  Cheesy

Maybe this hat will help you to recognize blowoff tops1 - that's a 600W bulb btw.

WOW! what a brilliant idea! I was thinking about what kind of avatar would fit, but never had any inspiration. my name is actually derived from a 600watt HPS homegrowing bulb which was laying around on my desk in the moment i needed a name for this forum.

i am genuinely impressed. and really flattered.

and unfortunately out of smerit. (but i saw fellow members took care of that - very nice, thank you all  Kiss)

So presuming you are not a complete moron, what are you trying to accomplish by posting this here?

yeah, actually this question applies to you way better than to anyone else in here. in search of a reason for your endless spamming of this thread with you misleading/false "technical" blabla about an utterly failed attack on bitcoin I more than once came to the conclusion you must be a paid shill. or a masochist. or a class A troll. or all of it.

imho a genuine BSV supporter would not dedicate his time to preach his religious sermon to the most hardened fork-atheists in the interwebs. it makes no sense. you make no sense. even the most stupid noob will not buy bsv because you recommended it. it is annoying as fuck, please post BITCOIN related stuff in here and unload the bsv spam in a bsv forum. p l e a s e.

edit: not saying you ARE a paid shill, but you do surely act as if you are

can it get any worse?

let´s quickly check how sustainable bSV is rewarding miners with fees to secure the network:

Quote
Today's earned fees across Bitcoin forks...

Bitcoin: $1.8M of fees earned by miners
Bitcoin Cash: $461 of fees earned by miners
Bitcoin SV: $16 of fees earned by miners
Bitcoin Gold: $2 of fees earned by miners

So is.

Highlighted stupid part is stupid. Jimmy Song and everyone he knows will be "old people" by the time the second wave comes. "Old people" of the future will be buying Bitcoin like the old people of today buy PMs.

my grandma asked me in the spring of 2017 if she could invest some money into bitcoin. price was around $2.5k, (which was my best case scenario top for end of 2017 Cheesy). I thought that it would be kind of mean to sell btc to my grandma at my projected yearly high, so we agreed on a 50% discount. when it went over $12k my grandma wanted to cash out.

this way she made 10x in $.

she is 93

F*** b00ze is talking

You and me both, buddy.

Crazy weather here. Tornado Warning in effect until 5pm or so, but I think the worst is behind us.

Thinking of eating 1g of mushrooms and see how that hits me for the evening.

Life is good.

A tornado could take me out in the next 15 minutes, and I would die a happy man.

Hodl.

EDIT: Not sure if Mushrooms + Beer is a good combo, so considering holding off to tomorrow
EDIT2: Can you you imagine that ? A drunk, stoned, and psychoactive-influenced, intellectual, naked black-man, running down the streets of suburban Texas, in horrific weather ? It's like the opening to the next Cohen Brothers film...

i shall reserve 1 smerit for you.
and yeah, mushroom is much better without alcohol/tornado. #yolo  Cheesy

Even assuming it is manipulated by the Jews, you are losing your shirt every day.   The reasons for the price fall are irrelevant.

Edit:  hah I’m the one sitting on an average 19x return on investment since 2013 while your silver has just halved over the same time period

19x overall or per year?
978  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 18, 2019, 07:07:19 AM
Su-uch a coincidence that. The NYAG rebuffed by Judge Cohen. 4 hours later Bitstamp mysteriously gets a walked down ask of 5k coins they 'can't deal with'.
Again and again the Central Banks have tried to crash Bitcoin, whether with China or Korea or Tether fud, or hacking the easy targets, or kidnapping the 'shady' businessmen. Pretending to be inept whales. All the while accumulating 'just in case'.
Again and again Bitcoin has risen back up, and further up, because more and more people realise what they stand to gain.
It's way too late to make it illegal effectively, so all they can do is rekt a few traders and slow down the buying for a while.

out of merit. good post.

the exchanges profit from the wild ups and downs. they are incentivized to "de-stabilize" the price in both directions.  on the other hand we need the exchanges, they are the frontline between dirty fiat and our sacred bitcoin. they are also responsible for the shitcoinery that took over. they should have tried their business model to be constructed vertically ON TOP of bitcoin only. instead they have chosen to expand horizontally with listing all those shitcoins. imagine what exchanges could have done with "bitcoin only approach": all the manpower they put in the shitcoin listings would go towards btc service development.

979  Local / Trading und Spekulation / Re: Der Aktuelle Kursverlauf on: May 18, 2019, 06:52:49 AM

We were expecting a 30% drop for a correction.

It happened, but it lasted for only some minutes, which confirms we are still in a bull market.

The bears got out of their cave and are parading in the streets, drunk and screaming victory. Funny.

This is only the 4th time in $BTC history in which weekly RSI, MFI, and NVT have all been simultaneously overextended.
The previous 3 instances were followed by 82%, 85%, and 83% drops, respectively.
