It's not 80s, it's 2016. There were certain rules that couldn't be broke because of printing limitations. Lisk doesn't need to be printed in one ink on packages or envelopes.
...

jesus, should we really start that discussion again that we had on nfd? just because some people think they invent new rules it doesn't mean, they are right.
And noone said, that this logo does not work now, but we could do better and more secure for sure.

A logo should be simple. You can always make a simple logo more complex but not a complex one easy. The current one needs work to be made easier and then it could be really good.
A logo should be timeless. You bring out logos, that will have serious problems, if times change.

Well, you can check trends from 2000 to 2015 and you won't find simplifications. Times has changed. There might be a need to create a simple version of Lisk logo. But it's the last thing in their To Do list, I can assure you. That Brazilian designer can make a simple one ink version of Lisk logo and that'll be enough.

NFD... Good old times. Seems like it was hundred years ago.

yeah maybe it has time. But just to give another hint on the advantage of a good logo like eth:
Their logo is so simple, that they could even put it as a new unicode character like €...

And sorry to say. But a logo should still work one ink... also if times change... and all of yours do somehow

Feels a little overpriced at the moment. What do you guys think ?
Well it's not very overpriced compared to its potential

That'll time show. I think its seriously enough.
For the last days guys keep in mind:
Keep calm and don't get forced to buy more, just because your amounts are shrinking. Keep some money for your rent...
If we gonna spend all double we investors still have exactly the same amount of lisk...

Great looking is not enough and not even the main point. You explained it yourself. A good logo is simple. This one needs too much detail to be understood...
It should look good on a webpage, it should look good on a t-shirt, it should look good on a pencil, and it should be recognizable with nearly no light. Just look at the ethereum logo... the lines are so clear, that even a nearly blind person can recognize it.

If you ask me to draw Ethereum logo I won't be able to do it. I remember that it's simple but I don't remember how it looks like. On the other hand Lisk logo is a crystal on a socle.

no. its a blue cristal on a dark grey socle with tons of surfaces. Do you know how many? What do you think can people easier remember. The surfaces of ethereum or the ones of lisk?
And if you change one surface its a different logo... its just any cristal then not the logo any more...

Lisk Devs Graphics Department.

PLEASE change the logo, it looks like Bitcrystals. Really horrible  esp compared against Ethereum.

I look at the logo and think this coin must have something to do with mining crystals from the earth.

yes I also think a designer should try to simplify the logo. Too much detail needed...

Devs said they spent like a $1000 on that ugly logo

That kind of spending, I hope ICO funds would last till next winter

Where did you get that information ?

Would be stupid to pay a thousand bucks for that lol, I can make a logo for a coffee lol Smiley

If thats true I do hope ICO funds wont be spended like that.

Sorry to be rude, but we are idiots in estimating a logo price.
just to put it in perspective. This logo cost MILLIONS:

The logo is great. You'll understand it when it's on Coindesk.

using 10 BTC as an investment volume (a number easy to multiply all values by) what is the realistic expectation of the rate of return on this gig and over what period of time? no hype merchants please.

It should yield 2x or 3x by the end of 2016

just throwing in a number...

Don't listen to the hype merchants here.

Devs made it clear that this is a LONG TERM investment, so expect a drop of 10% to 25% after Lisk launches on exchanges and it will remain there for few months until Lisk Devs actually develop or release a useful product, other than what they cloned from Crypti Platform.

We could make x10-x20 profit within a year if they'd raise 500 BTC. Now we can make x100 by Christmas )
990  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 16, 2016, 05:28:14 PM
yea im going to try to get some cheap after it hits the market cause i think it might be dumped a little at first, people didnt expect this amount of raised make it hard to gain lots.

Tell that to Ethereum investors lol Smiley They invested 30 000 BTC and ROI is over x80.
in the the lows after ICO you got it still cheap...

October 2015
0.0016 -> about 3.2 BTC for 2000 (on ICO you payed 1BTC, so about 3 times)
But: BTC was at ICO at 750 $ and on October 250 $ so about 3 times.

So you could have bought it in October for nearly ICO price in $ without your money having stuck for half a year...

Hey guys, what are the chances of LISK going over 100k in a short time after the release?

like the chances of apple growing further...
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 16, 2016, 05:19:15 PM

However, the BTC value of the 8,000,000 Lisk for Devs share has gone up from $0 to $250,000

Thats fine. I think the problem is another...
We are stealing the share percentage of each other by investing more...
That's counterproductive... especially if they show it in your account explicitly....
993  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 16, 2016, 05:06:19 PM
Why not hype AFTER the ICO is over ?

Huh.  Great idea.  I will.

I told you so 3 weeks ago...

...  I am however definitely a member of the group who is squirming over their total investment share percentage shrinking so fast.  That Microsoft press release about Azure could not have come at a worse time for Lisk investors...

How about you drop the microphone and go on vacation until Sunday ?

finally we get to the point that all trolls want to make....  good try though, you really didn't tell us anything.

A huge amount of money alone is no proof for success. Its faster gone, than you think, if you do it wrong...
994  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 16, 2016, 04:59:22 PM
You can't talk about a "success" of the team when the project is just started and brings almost nothing for the moment ! Come on, be serious.
The motivational concept doesn't works if they already have a huge rewards at the start, just before realizing the project !
Rewards should be earned AFTER realizing something great.

With that unexpected ICO raised money amount (according to Lisk team), maybe the two members of the team could reduce their personal rewards of 8% of all Lisk ?

I believe in this project in long term run and I bought a lot of Lisk, but i think a such amount of Lisk (and its current dollar value) hold by two persons is unnecessary and should be reduced in favor of all investors who have taken risks in that ICO.

Just an idea, no offense  Wink

Let me get this straight.  The more successful the management team is, the more you want to reduce their reward.

Interesting motivational concept.

One thing that worries me is this. With all the money raise we all get less coins which means the coins will have to be worth more after launch to get our money back. there fore the more people join then the bigger chance of lots of bag holders? Is this a valid concern or am I just raising FUD?

My coins are disappearing and I am crying daily. Each blow takes away a part of my soul and dreams.

This is not FUD and I am crying right there with you.

My beloved grandfather told me once "Sometimes you just gotta grunt <in pain>"

it does seem a lisky investment. i doubt many Japanese will be interested.

I somehow find it misleading with the current calculations in the account. It should have been calculated the estimated lisk with the rest of the time investments as an average of the proceeded ones. Then it would not only go down the whole time putting some force on investing more. Its not about getting more investors, but on pushing the individual investments...

I think 8% is even too less. They should have a serious interest to let it grow. The lower their percentage is, the less interest in letting the value grow...

This forum is amazing the fudders are so psychotic here! Grin Grin Grin

Usually I hate FUDers but honestly, I find LISKisSCAMs' posts entertaining.
I feel like this just doesn't come naturally to him, and has to put a lot of effort into every one of his posts.
Every time I have an urge to pat his head and say "there, there keep it up, you'll get better at this".

I think he uses google translate to translate English into BTT FUD.

Anyway he is our Jester, he is here for our entertainment.

Where can we send tips.

now we need a mascot!

I was honestly wondering, what took the fudsters so long. I mean, everyone can see his share percentage shrinking hourly...
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 15, 2016, 03:47:50 PM
Agree! This is why I would suggest to create a bounty pool for interested developers. If a dev has a good idea then he may apply for a bounty.

Without any real world applications, I don't think Lisk will surpass Ethereum. We need a good idea of how a Javascript application can be useful as a DApp.

Is there any specific documentation on traditional apps vs DApps?

Yes of course, lisk can't even surpass ethereum but (maybe) can create something similar.

However the people are investing because they want to double (or x3) their investment, most of them don't care about the 'technology' behind it.

if we hype further some will sell for 50% as well...
998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 14, 2016, 10:07:06 AM
2,4 BTC to 4000  Smiley Not including 832 BTC worth of XCR

4000 is massive Shocked what if doubles before the end? Tongue

That would be a good thing, having a larger budget Lisk could attract more developers, PR, etc.

Yep. With 5000 BTC we're easily looking at x20 in a few months but with 10000 BTC it could be x200

I don't see your calculation. The more hype we produce now, the less hype, we can produce later, because everybody is in already.
If everyone bought on IPO, who should buy later?
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 10, 2016, 03:55:54 PM

How about an offer to the Crypti holders to sell them the collected XCR for a price X, let's say 650 sat?

for half? kidding me? Then everyone would throw their crypti in there in order to buy them back for the half...
IF there was something like that it has to be the same rate in both directions...
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][LISK] Lisk | ICO | Decentralized Application & Sidechain Platform on: March 10, 2016, 02:50:31 PM
What exactly are you doing with the crypti? I see, that after IPO you will own about half of it?
So you have a strong force on the price of it.
Tell us:
Will you dump all crypti and let it die?
or will you horde it and let it skyrocket?

I feel scammed, if I give you crypti for peanuts and you let it skyrocket and also if I keep them and you let it die by dumping...

Nobody put a gun to your head and told you to buy crypti.  Your feelings of scam are most likely called regret and scape goat.

nonono, you understand wrong. I don't regret to buy anything. I am an investor and have to be prepared that something is going to zero. So I am also with crypti. If it's the markets choice.
But in this case someone has the ability to move the coin. The ability was given by US investors. And we should know the intentions...
