981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Answer this Question on Credits Left on a Slot Machine by Someone Else on: October 01, 2023, 09:09:39 PM
There is a general rule in land based casinos that a gambler shouldn't take credits left on a slot machine by someone else. Basically, from what I understand, if there is still credit showing on a slot machine. Don't cash out or add to your money you put into the machine. Right? The question is if you find a cash out voucher resting on the machine itself or on the seat, can you legally use it?
Legally and technically they are not yours to play, but common sense says, that it wouldn't be practical to leave those coins in. If everyone thought that would be a way to go, no one could even play that machine with their own coins before those left in coins are used. And in reality there's no one in the world going to make you pay back those coins. It's just a minor morality issue where's no right answer. I myself have played those coins multiple times, because no one leaves even $5 in. It's always in cents.

And if you are feeling guilty, you can always leave that amount of credits in after you stop playing.
982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Only good coins are listed on top exchange? on: September 30, 2023, 10:13:41 PM
No way Roll Eyes
The listing fees of the best exchanges are huge, so any project can be listed for money and it is not the best coin for that.
Moreover one should not rush to invest after seeing the listing on a good exchange because the development of the project will be more dependent on an investor.

There are many coins that get delisted from good exchanges because their volume decreases and investors decrease, the main reason being poor development progress.
I guess it all comes to the definition of what do you see as a "good coin". Most good coins have raised enough money to get listed, and they peak the interest of the people, who are deciding who can list and whom can not.

But obviously it's not a mark of a "good coin" to get listed on top exchanges. Even bitconnect was listed on them, while most of the people saw right trough that. Same as LUNA, and tokens can have worst possoble fundamentals while no one can see the flaws, just like with FTX, which as well was listed to top exchanges. And there were numerous others during my years in crypto. And i can remember just a fraction of them.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ban from a Casino for Nothing Other Than Winning Too Much Money on: September 30, 2023, 09:55:23 PM
Let's take a moment to think about this and tell me if I am correct. All of the people whom I have observed getting banned from gambling at casinos by the casino management, aside from misconduct and other offenses, are individuals who keep winning significant amounts of money. For instance, consider Dana White.
Quote
He has been prohibited from playing at some of the city’s best casinos, including the Wynn and the Palms, due to his high-stakes gambling habits.  The UFC president is an avid gambler who has won substantial sums of money while spending hours at the tables in his chosen state of Nevada. But after some of his spectacular winning streaks, large hotel and casino locations like the Wynn have previously given him trouble. https://www.insidesport.in/accused-of-bankrupting-hotel-dana-white-explains-getting-banned-racking-up/#:~:text=He%20has%20been%20prohibited%20from,his%20chosen%20state%20of%20Nevada.

The way I perceive it is that if a person who is not cheating or engaging in illegal gambling activities consistently wins, the casino is highly likely to ban that person, just as they did with Dana White.
Weird that all i see is Dana White's side of the story. Decent news site would definitely like to confirm the casino's side, on the reason why he was banned, because that could differ very much from that.

I mean it's plausible he got kicked from that, but most of the times when people get banned from casinos or any other places, the real reason for it wouldn't make the person look as cool as "he was winning too much". Which i would totally say if someone asked why did i get kicked out from a casino. Not because i was harassing anyone or drank too much.
984  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Thoughts on G1X? (Arbitrum) on: September 30, 2023, 09:42:31 PM
Anyone know anything about G1x? Can’t find any information on Google.
I’m only minting gemstones b/c I’m digging the concept & the focus on decentralization.. plus, they are dirt cheap. Anyone with smart contract experience willing to verify the burning mechanism and do a quick audit?

Will send 200 (totally illiquid) SDX tokens for anyone who can provide useful info on the project’s contract.

https://arbiscan.io/address/0x3aede23609a22bf4e0ba6986d1302a7088de2eb7

https://g1x.xyz/
So you are offering 200 G1x with total worth of $0.08?

Web page looks like a scam. It has an option to connect your wallet has a high change of containing inferno drainer. I am not sure why the token contract is important to you, if last tx of that token was over 2 months ago. It's a dead project. Changes are that it was a scam like most of them.

StarshipDoge is the next Shiba Inu! It's still very early! Marketcap 20k! The contract is renounced and the liquidity is locked for 100 years! Additionally, StarshipDoge is a deflatonist. 3% of each transaction is automatically burned! Don't miss the train!

This is so bad. I remember when it used to need at least 2 cexes to list on coinmarketcap. These days anything flies i suppose. And in cmc it says that Circulating supply is 0 STARSHIPDOGE, and chart made me laugh out loud. I would like to say that this is worst i've seen this year, but sadly there has been worse attempts. And at least with meme coins they are not blatantly lying about what they are building. Because they are obviously doing nothing.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum OG (ICO participants) on: September 29, 2023, 11:08:22 AM
Are those who joined the Ethereum ICO technical people? How were you able to join? What was the experience back then? Did you mine ETH? Did you participate in the launch by running a node? I'm curious to know as my friends talked a lot about recently and you are so lucky back then i think.
Only skill you needed was to send bitcoin, i mean there weren't smart contracts or anything like that to join in with. ETH was purely on the paper when the ico happened and if i recall correctly you could make an account to web page and buy your share of it with bitcoin, as that was the common way in those days.

You just needed to trust the person/team you send your money to. Showing dev's real identity wasn't common, so it required even more blind trust on the project.

What you got was pre-mined coins. And after Ethereum went live, you could mine it.
987  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mixin Network just got hacked on: September 29, 2023, 11:04:49 AM
What happened there was attackers exploited the database of the network's cloud service provider. Actually, they did steal the 150M funds. But the news said it was 200M funds. Currently, Mixin Network halts all the services provided by them.
This is underrated problem in decentralized world. And by this i mean centraalized 3rd party services. It's basically same thing what we have warned about the experts, abou humans being the weakest link.

Whole power of decentralization loses the meaning and purpose of it, when we run all nodes and services on same cheapest centralized cloud provider. It's once again the low cost, speed and convenience were chosen over security and decentralization.

988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: should i invest need suggestions on: September 29, 2023, 10:40:02 AM
everyone i have been searching on this project bubble bot . finance and i found this promising but unfortunately i missed the presale. They have done a very successful presale and raised 97.25ETH in just few hours now there are some rumors out there the price will be now 20x but  i  don't think so 20x is exceptional but i can think it will be minimum 5x for sure and i will definitely ape in on early stages and i suggest you guys also to take part in launch
Why because their multi staking is live along with telegram bot for spot trading and much more and also team is doing great marketing and i can see huge hype ther

I also share web link here for more details
-cut-
No, you don't need any suggestions, you are only hired to guerrilla market this or it's your own scam. Even when you stuff like: "hey look at this project, what do you think? Is it a scam?"

This isn't a new way, but it's clever, since it doesn't sound like advertising but it brings traffic because post sounds skeptical.

Your take isn't that smart as you are saying "minimum 5x". I am hoping you won't get paid for this low effort spam.

imho newbie accounts sharing links should be banned here.
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Warning] Don't share your casino account! on: September 29, 2023, 10:26:18 AM
I recently received multiple PM on my Telegram account that offers profit sharing for placing bets on their behalf. They probably see my thread Betting significant amount and assume I'm a whale gambler(FYI I'm not whale gambler). They are offering a huge money to bet on your account then they will give you a commission. Sounds interesting right?

But the danger in this deal is you might be connected to the match-fixing syndicate which will jeopardize your integrity since you KYC already on the casino if you are betting a significant amount like me. The worst is you might be flagged as a money launderer once you connect with them and accept money as payment. I have a very bad experience in regards to being connected to a launderer due to P2P on the exchange so I decided to create this warning thread for the fellow gambler. Never share your casino account to anyone here especially those so-called whale bettors because you might be connected to whatever shit they are doing illegally.
Even if it wasn't money laundering, which it definitely would be, and would send you to jail for years, you would be making a tax fraud, and that would also be worth lot of prison time if you got caught. If you are promised lots of money by someone, and they are actually paying you. They are paying for something, that most people wouldn't do for a really good reason that they are not telling you.
990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you believe Technical Analysis? on: September 28, 2023, 06:15:51 PM
-cut-
When asked this question to many professors and investors, a common response is, "Candlesticks reflect the psychology of investors."

What are your thoughts on this matter?
I believe that there's higher probability of prices going up when there's a right setup on the chart. And that there is a higher probability for the opposite scenario as well. It's just human psychology that if something catastrophic happens, people will sell more just to get out before they lose everything. With the fomo it's the opposite. And wall street market cycle cheat sheet paints pretty accurate human behavior in the market. And markets follow human mass behavior so they are predictable from the psychological standpoint.

That said, I don't trust most the indicators, and imho some are just way too out there for me. But some of them most likely act as self-fulfilling prophecies, as some traders follow them and act on them. I had succesfull trades using fibonacci retrace and stuff like that. And even
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 28, 2023, 06:01:20 PM
Is it the game you started playing as a gambler that you still play till now? Is there any gambler in this place who was used to playing a particular game before but never was successful winning or did not win enough and then made up their mind that it was time for a change in the game you gamble on. Which game did you change from, and what did you change to? how long did you play the game that you are deciding to stop playing because of the bad outcomes?
Started to play seriously with poker, but then pandemia hit, and i had to play online. It wasn't as fun and i kept making mistakes because of frustration. Then i went to slots, made some money and got exited about those. They were way cooler than physical slots i used to play when i was younger. And the jackpots were way higher, even though they were most likely impossible to get, they were there.

So while i was making money on and of and naturally at some point i made more losses. But it took a lot of money to find something else. So i tried betting sports. Turns out it's more boring then i would like it to be, unless i am betting on something i know about and watch that on tv. But i am not that into sports that i would like to watch them for hours to know the score. I might make some money with sports but i am really not so into that.

So i came back to slots and house games. This time just for fun and winning is a nice bonus. But i am not in any way counting on winning. I play with smaller bets and i have a system and a budget so i won't spend more than i afford.

If i get bored to this i'll find somehing else again. Maybe i'll go back to poker tournaments now that pandemic is over. Those just take so much of my time.
992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The BBC released a documentary inspired by SBF on: September 28, 2023, 05:38:28 PM
I'm not really sure if BBC has covered things that we didn't know already. It must be good for newbies in investment though so they can see how this scammers really work behind. They can disguised like what SBF is, and then getting a lot of friends, sport personalities, Hollywood actors/actresses and how his background get himself to some major politicians to really bring himself to be the saviour and give supposedly billions to charities and make a lot of humanitarian works that his company or the money that he will get. But it all failed as everything crumbled last year causing billions upon billions of money lost from the downfall of SBF. I wouldn't watch it though to be honest, I'm not a victim but I don't want to see him being glorified in some kind of documentary.
Often when i am watching anything crypto related from mainstream media i have second-hand embarrassment as all they want is a scoop and a villain. Then they need to quickly to learn the lingo, and try to explain something they have no experience with, like they know what they are talking about. And watching that makes me nauseous. I am afraid this will be one of those, but i watch it as it's from bbc and that usually means quality. So thanks for the link.

it is only in decentralized exchange and decentralized exchanges They are good, but nothing like the centralized ones that can give real values in real time, and that can make a direct interaction, of the Exchange with the Platform , so these Types of Things are what sometimes Attract Attention , in Addition to this they can also set the price of Bitcoin, and they can also set the price of the token, the idea is not bad, the casino has a lot of good games, but they have to anticipate the Boom, they have to approve that they are on bitcointalk, there is no other option, They are in the best forum ever, they have to put Love into this.
-cut-
I frankly think people are overestimating the effect of CEXes. Teams need to pay to get in, and that eats the token value, as they most likely have to keep on paying to keep it listed, if there's not enough trading volume for it. And to top of that, Uniswap had $67.93 billion trading volume as of March 2023, and only CEX that goes over that is Binance.

Imho CEXes serve a purpose of giving a change to trade lots of coins with their own blockchain. But when it comes to tokens, you don't need that. Sure, you might get some attention if you hit Binance, Coinbase, Kraken or Bitfinex. But let's face the fact that this token is most likely way too shady for those. And even if it would get listed, it would cost insane amount. And listing to other CEXes would be just waste of money, because listing cost would push the price down, and listing would come most likely with fake volume and not enough liquidity.

By "I haven't done kyc" do you mean you didn't need to submit you ID documents and stuff or you didn't even need to complete level 1 kyc (submitting you real name,  address and date of birth)?
Oh, sorry, that's what i meant, i even had forgotten that i wrote my name and address and such. For some reason that doesn't register to me as any form of KYC. So i guess that part of my message is irrelevant. Answer to everything else i would like to know though. Number on my total $ wagered doesn't make any sense to me.

995  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new PoW coins on the market? on: September 27, 2023, 04:31:32 PM
Does anyone know of any new cryptocurrency project that uses PoW as its consensus mechanism? It seems to me that mineable coins are becoming extinct these days. We can blame the government for its false propaganda regarding the "high energy consumption" of PoW cryptocurrencies. Nowadays, 99% of new coins are centralized PoS. I'd be surprised if there's anything new on the market with PoW behind it.

Your input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much. Smiley
If you want to mine them, there's a list of new ones in here

https://miningpoolstats.stream/newcoins

But i honestly think that those are not going anywhere, because of the propaganda you mentioned, and the fact that you can't trade them in dexes. If they don't have any funding they will be listed on some random free CEXes and won't get any traction.

And i disagree with PoS centralization, especially against new PoW coins that are mined in 2 mining pools and can be easily controlled just one mining farm. And stuff like that. Not every solution needs a new chain.

It says "Sorry, you have been blocked" when i click the site. I have no idea why.
But even without checking it, the fact you need to assure us that you will be reviewing honestly reveals what the problem is.
And that is the fact that no one will know if you review honestly because there's many reason why you shouldn't. And those come in forms of payments from casinos that want to boost their

Thing is, won't be transparency on your reviews because there can't be any transparency. Only thing you could do is automate your reviews for all the features and compare withdrawal times etc. But even that speaks only from your experience if you don't encounter any bugs or bad helpdesk.

Also are you Finnish by any change or is the site Finnish?? (because of your name)
997  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are decentralized domains still a thing? on: September 27, 2023, 04:10:30 PM
For those who don't know, Namecoin was the first cryptocurrency project that brought the concept of "decentralized domain names". Ethereum came after and ENS was developed. For an Internet that's utterly-centralized, this is a good start. We would have many websites built on P2P tech, all without the single point of failure. These days we have IPFS and several other alternative networks aimed to make the Internet more decentralized. This, combined with a decentralized domain, should make the web truly unstoppable. But to my surprise, the number of websites using decentralized tech are pretty scarce these days.

Do you think decentralized domain names are still a thing? Or will they become nothing but a failed experiment? Do you think blockchain networks will be able to replace the ICANN in the future? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

They are a thing as much as other nfts. Hype has gone and people are laughing anything nft related even more. So no one really wants to touch it. And i never really understood the whole decentralized immutablle web pages in the first place.

We already have darknet. I imagine that decentralized web would go beyond that and contain way more illegal stuff. Stuff no one really asked for or needs to see, because it could scar them for life. There needs to be a way to admin the content. At least for the node runners option not to participate something illegal and disturbing.

Ok, i gambled some more and withdrew small amount without any problems, i haven't done any kyc so i am assuming that will be something i do when i am withdrawing more than pocket money.

But there's 2 things i would like to know

1st: When are you going to implement google 2fa? As that's pretty much standard when it comes to account safety.
2nd: What games are affecting to weekly race? Because only fraction of my bets were showing there when i took my winnings out.

And once again, since not all the games seem to be affecting weekly race, what games are not affecting to the amount of airdrop we get?

the Idea disturb me but if the experiment proved to be successful and is approved this could help a lot of people who are in need of body organs. besides, this isn't the first time animal parts are used to treat someone. I remember reading once that tilapia skin is being used to treat burn injuries. anyway, I am pretty sure this experiment will definitely disturb a lot of people.
I am not sure what's the disturbing part in this would be? Scientific progress is cool and most human parts have surprisingly simple function that can be replaced, or will be replaced in the future.

Consider this as a placeholder for artificial organs that most definitely coming. I guess some people are distrurbed by prostate legs, walking sticks, wheel chairs, ostomy bags or eye glasses. All of those invented to keep us moving and living our lives.
