981  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: November 13, 2015, 10:18:22 AM
All spammers listed in this topic are banned from Yobit Signature Campaign.

Thank you for reporting. All new spammers from here will be banned too.

its great that the ones in this post are banned from the campaign, but could you guys do more than just ban whoever gets posted in this (and any other sig spammer shaming) thread? like actively monitoring your enrolled users and banning those who start to spam, or hiring someone to do so? this list here is just the tip of the iceberg; just about anyone can join your campaign and get away with spamming if you leave it up to the forum's anti-spam minded people to pick them out and post them here. please, take it on yourselves to do something about it. not paying for posts in the off topic section would be a fantastic place to start, seeing as how probably 80% of the posts in that section are from yobit spammers posting mindless drivel in the daily "what are you drinking, what song, etc" threads.

I personally would have banned the owner of yobit here aswell, at least for 2 weeks. They have done nothing about the spammers until now when mexxer and other users had to research and find the spammers because the campaign owner cant do it. Whats weird is a campaign that doesnt care about anything and pays their users to spam in off topic where no one will see their signature, it just makes me believe that they are either scammers or they really dont give a fuck.
982  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: November 13, 2015, 09:53:33 AM
What were the prices? It always depends on how many sig campaigns are active and what they are paying, if the site could also have in count if the account was banned before that would be really helpful to determine the price of it.
It is not possible to count if the account was banned before, or at least I don't know how. I think the only way to know is if the banned message shows up when logging in and whether you remember that the account was banned before. If there are publicly available logs of bans, then please let me know.

Im pretty sure I have seen on the ''meta'' section before that someone mentioned something about seeing ban logs but only some of them not all, I will try to find it. By the way when I try to use your website there is always queue and it just stops there.
983  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best Bitcoin Poker Site for Beginners? on: November 13, 2015, 09:51:20 AM
I will recommend to look for professional guides outside the games website themselves.

I don't think he is looking to play poker profesionally but rather just have some fun and play with freerolls without risking any money which is a good idea, definitely better than using faucets from dice sites and playing there.
984  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: November 12, 2015, 08:17:20 PM
This is a bit extreme, I'm not sure why the OP felt compelled to apend so much time creating what's clearly a very detailed report.

Did he get kicked off the campaign in question? Why the anger or bitterness?
After countless times I've explained it:

Well this thread was made for three purposes:
1) Campaign manager to notice this thread and kick out the spammers
2) For moderators to notice and either consider a ban or warn the members, for which I had made another thread but decided to stick with this one: (will post as soon as I find it; link)
3) A public shame list.
The mass banning may serve as a reminder for others to not spam, be it any thread.
The "shame list" idea was supported by two mods, with an admin reacting positively upon it, if that doesn't make it clear to you I don't know what will

You might want to add him to the list too, his last posts are all pretty low quality and the post here is basically sig spamming. By the way ''mkr'' seems to be active still, any news?
985  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcointalk Account price estimator on: November 12, 2015, 08:13:04 PM
the site didnt work for me before ( it always used to get stuck on processing for me ), but today it seemed to have work  Grin.

Was the same for me.
I was always in queue at 8th position or so and didn't gain any postions.
But I tried it some days later again and it worked fine.

Although this makes no difference because no one will get these huge prices for any account I guess.

What were the prices? It always depends on how many sig campaigns are active and what they are paying, if the site could also have in count if the account was banned before that would be really helpful to determine the price of it.
986  Economy / Services / Re: Signature Design Contest - BitcoinBlackFriday.info - 0.2 BTC Prize on: November 12, 2015, 08:10:21 PM
Here's my simple attempt

Hope you like it  Cheesy

I like the full member and senior ones, they look simple but good. The hero member ones on the other hand are not too appealing to me, i know hero member allows you to use background but I feel like without it the design looks better and smoother.
987  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] cryptoparrot.com - realtime twitter bitcoin tracker on: November 11, 2015, 04:25:58 PM
Maybe when you have the feature to see how many tweets in x days you could also add the top 10 tweets that are repeated, to see what is spammed the most.
988  Economy / Services / Re: Signature Design Contest - BitcoinBlackFriday.info - 0.2 BTC Prize on: November 11, 2015, 04:12:54 PM
I would like to participate in the contest (so as to others) but until you escrow the funds, I don't think you'll get any entry... In case you will use escrow, you could check the following link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=855778.0

Im sure they wont risk their reputation here just to get some free signatures, anyways the losers basically work for free so in a way they are getting scammed.
989  Economy / Gambling / Re: Introducing PevPot.com The Only +EV Lottery on: November 11, 2015, 04:04:37 PM
So how does the +EV work exactly? For every satoshi I send I get 1 ticket but anyone can send any amount and there is no limit so my chances of winning will always be variable, right? How can you know if it's going to be +EV if everytime im going to have different chances of winning?

Because for instance in this draw (#1) the prize is always going to be 0.17658 BTC more than players put in (thanks to the sponsor). So as more and more tickets are bought, the EV will get closer and closer to 0 but it'll always stay positive

Oh I see, so basically if I were to play alone no matter how many bitcoins i send the sponsors are always going to send more. Seems pretty nice, hopefully it's +EV for you too in the long run.

991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What I should do , if gambling in my country illegal? on: November 11, 2015, 10:31:45 AM
The only real problem you can have is withdrawing your money (if you win a lot) but you would have to win a lot of money for the bank to even notice it so you should have no trouble with anything really.
992  Other / Meta / Re: New gambling section? on: November 11, 2015, 10:26:49 AM
Agree with it, the sport tips also should be made as a new Subboard in Off-topic, many people seem to spam there for their signature payment, moving it to off-topic might reduce the spam from Bit-x , Bit-mixer , cryptogames and such campaign participants, because those campaigns don't pay for posts in off-topic.
As for "gambling discussion" those may be moderated in a similar way like Quora, where topics are merged if they are same as another question, in this case it might be moved to archival by a mod and post some of the similar discussion threads' link.

Well yea, basically my suggestion was because of the sig spammers in threads that are the same. There are like 10 strategy threads talking about the same thing, if admins could lock the others and only leave 1 or merge them as you say, it would help with the spam, i also feel like the sport tips threads should be locked by the author and only post his tips and not allow anyone else to post since other people cant really contribute to the thread.
993  Other / Meta / Re: Public list of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: November 11, 2015, 10:22:41 AM
Are all these people getting banned? I see mkr (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=216331) posting, still on off-topic spamming.

I know you said he was on hilariousandco list but he is still active and spamming, badbear said ''banned'' in the first page of this post, im not sure what he meant since this guy is not banned.

995  Other / Meta / Re: a way to stop signature spammers by punishing the campaign managers on: November 10, 2015, 08:49:56 AM
If everyone agrees what are the worst 2 campaigns, ban everyone that is wearing them, ''You are banned until you stop using the 'x campaign' signature'' Problem solved, not too hard.
So this is your 'simple' solution? Exactly what do you think that is going to happen with these people once they get unbanned? Firstly this would require even more effort as we'd have to check if user has X signature. What would happen is that they'd most likely just join a campaign Y which is not one of those "worst" campaigns and continue their spamming (possibly improved, but still spamming). There is no simple solution to this problem.

Well it seems like it's already happening, check the yobit public list of spammers. It is a good solution and the excuse of ''what will happen once they get unbanned'' is not enough to not do it. Some people are already searching for the spammers to facilitate the mods job so yea.
996  Other / Meta / New gambling section? on: November 10, 2015, 08:44:41 AM
Lately there are a lot of threads talking about gambling strategies and things related to gambling, I propose to make two different gambling sections, 1. Gambling Announcements and 2.Gambling discussion. Im pretty tired of the same threads being on first page when im trying to look for new gambling websites, those threads are not only useless but also help sig spammers to spam more. What do you think?
997  Other / Meta / Re: Public report of yobit spammers(this one's gonna be long boys) on: November 09, 2015, 08:50:13 PM
So, can we just use this post to link other spammers that we find even if they are not wearing the yobit campaign?
998  Other / Meta / Re: a way to stop signature spammers by punishing the campaign managers on: November 09, 2015, 08:48:24 PM
It seems like the mods and staff dont really care, every idea that is proposed they just turn it down with pretty silly explications sometimes, there are plenty of ideas that would work, punishing sig campaign managers would work. They ban spammers why not ban campaign managers that allow the spammers? Badbear explanation is just silly, honestly.
What ideas are you pointing to exactly? Punishing campaign managers will not work for the worst two spam campaign, they just use a bot to determine how many posts should be made and even if the campaign manager accounts are given a ban they can keep paying for the shitposts outside the forum.
And anything more complicated would require more resources i.e= higher cost i.e= lower ad revenue for the site and etc.

If everyone agrees what are the worst 2 campaigns, ban everyone that is wearing them, ''You are banned until you stop using the 'x campaign' signature'' Problem solved, not too hard.

1000  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risky to leave fiat currency on an exchange?? on: November 09, 2015, 07:33:36 AM
Yeah thats good advice unless you want to trade, how are you supposed to trade if you cant have your bitcoins or fiat stored in an exchange, its impossible, you have to. The risk is there but you cant trade otherwise.
