981  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: plan to start bitcoin trade on: April 05, 2018, 02:06:31 PM
Be careful dude, lots of false infos out there so better be wise and do research before do trading. A lots of free basic kniwledgevhere that you can be source of informations and lots of good broker also not only bitfinex. You may start trading trials only so you can know the market trends. Today market is so bearish And its better not to trade today and focus first on your study and learning curve to be a trader. Good luck
Right. Rather than even looking for shortcuts which most people always do by following some traders on some platform to tell them what to do, why not just use the little time you have to always learn something new online and see how you can get a grasp of the indicators as well as some analysis to your own advantage. It is a terrible thing to always rely on other people, when you should be able to make decisions on your own.

Anyone who wants to start trading without any knowledge about trading is more like someone who is going to a war without guns or any knowledge of battlefield. The trade zone is more of a battle field, so without the knowledge and the tools, one would just be busy doing rubbish until such a person end up losing bad and giving up at the end. It is what it is with trading, and even though risky, those who are smart enough to learn are making a lot from it.
982  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin cannot be a global currency on: April 05, 2018, 12:25:34 PM
it also has ability to become a global currency but it’s not more common than fiat. As far as you know that bitcoin is going more viral recently and even quickly. The numbers of people keeps an eye on it is significantly huge and almost it is covered all over the world. What more, there are some countries right now accept bitcoin as a real currency although it’s not a paper money. Therefore bitcoin can be a global currency which is used by bitcoin users. We can take it as an extra currency which can help us pay for what we buy and use around the world and this is really great!
I wonder why we keep saying it has the ability when it is of course already being used globally. Gone are those days when I would have to start sourcing for dollar in my country just to send to a merchant in Japan as an importer. I can easily just send bitcoin from my country without any hassle at the comfort of my home from my wallet and then get my consignments.

If that is not global already to anyone, I wonder what else is called global. One day or other, bitcoin will definitely become as a global currency of the world for the people who adopt digital systems and for the rest of people it may take century of time to serve them as a global currency.
983  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will bitcoin survive? on: April 05, 2018, 11:21:10 AM
Define 'will bitcoin survive'. Does that mean will miners still be hashing blocks? Does it mean a certain price? Whats a "reasonable price"? I think a reasonable price would be around $1,000 and would be fantastic considering it just spent a few years around $300
Lol, there goes Tera again, the bear king! Grin Well, that is your own reasonable price and of course your opinion and everyone is absolutely entitled to theirs. It is going to be really a lot of hell for so many alts if we ever get to see this happening at all, but considering the possibilities of seeing something like this happening? Not yet and even though you feel the value is reasonable, the likelihood of it happening at least for now, is zero to none.

I think bitcoin will survive and bitcoin will not die, because I think that the world of crypto will be growing for world progress.
and I'm sure that bitcoin will grow in the future
We are already seeing a lot of things happening in the world of cryptocurrency and with bitcoin being in the forefront, so for anyone thinking because of the downtrend, bitcoin is gone for life or will not reverse from the trend is definitely kidding. We have been there before and we will be there again, but at the end of it all, a time will come that those like Tera2 wishing for $1000 like he said above will be wishing for a reasonable price at $50,000.
984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learnings from crash on: April 05, 2018, 10:48:06 AM
What do you feel you have learned from the crash (if anything)? I think the market has gained a little bit more stability now, and therefore it is nice to look back on your own thoughts and the decisions you made when experiencing such a crash.
Personally, I learned that I need to continuously, as markets grow, 'take off some risk' and allocate some profits from alt into ethereum and bitcoin.
In the same regards, I will also begin to allocate small percentages into $ so that I can gain more on crashes like this one.
Lastly, I once again got confirmed, that in crypto we see huge volatility and that is just something we have to live with - for now at least. Never panic sell in corrections!!!

Well the learning is never get too excited and too confident about the bitcoin going up and buy at ATH prices! Lolz, I made little mistake when I invested my money at the time of BTC @12K USD rates because I was crazy to think that it will rise again to the 19K USD which was its ATH rate. However I was not wrong but I do realise that I made mistake out of the excitement and nothing else.

Another learning from the bitcoin drop is simple, it is the right to buy the coins and we can now know the power of BTC uprise in terms of profits.
It is not your fault because you obviously do not know how to trade and you do not know what to look out for in a trade to make a decision and for people in your shoes, it is always better to just hold than trying to gamble your position in the market. Not everyone can be a trader, but the thing is everyone can be a holder and decide not to worry about what is going on in the market as long as they are sure of the future of their holding.

The main thing is to know when to be sure you are having a change in trend. It is not all about the backup, even though you will need fiat as a stable currency anyway to hold up until you are able to get more of the bitcoin at dip, but you need to be sure as well that you are making right decisions either when selling or when buying so you would not end up missing a good chance.
985  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Bitcoin global regulation on: April 05, 2018, 10:18:26 AM
I think they are doing well if they are securing their citizens’ future. Right now, definitely there are so many ICOs who are fake. People don’t know properly about some ICO and then start investing in it. While that one is making fraud against their money and then the person becomes loser without doing anything. So if governments are playing safe game that is better.
In fact, for ICOs sake and not to get the whole space polluted, it is something that is highly needed. As much as some may have a dislike for it, it is already apparent that for the sake of the future of cryptocurrency and to even move ahead and get going with growth, development and adoption, regulation is definitely a must but this will have to do with how each country stand to do their thing.

If crypto-currencies are banned in some country, who prevents to go to another and make operations there? Now, while the legislation has not been fully developed, you can get a good profit, it will be more difficult in the near future.
Regulation would make nothing difficult. Apparently, each country may have their own form of regulations which probably would affect exchanges, but in the long run, this is something that we all know would not be a big issue since they will be benefiting from it as well. Also, we cannot see anything like a single global regulation, like I said; it will be limited to each and every country.
986  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Exchanges on: April 05, 2018, 08:58:13 AM
I'm wondering if it's worth exchanging Bitcoin to Monero for security as Bitcoin is quite volatile and monero seems less so. Any advice would be appreciated.
There is nothing wrong with exchanging your Bitcoin for Monero. Yes it will help save you the loss you might encounter now that the price of Bitcoin is fluctuating up and down, but the only problem is– what are you going to do when the goes up quickly even before you know what’s happening ? Then you will lose the profit you’re supposed to make then.

Bitcoin is very volatile, in fact more volatile than other cryptocurrencies, but it is a good thing. So, I will advise you not to exchange your Bitcoin for Monero, leave it there and wait for the price to go up.
987  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Digital money or virtual currency? on: April 05, 2018, 07:41:49 AM
In my country many people still understand Bitcoin as virtual currency. BTC does not bring anything to life. They just think Bitcoin investment is gambling, chance, black red.
Why?
Why do not they look at Bitcoin, ETH or blockchain technology for the present.
Blockchain minimizes transportation costs, intermediates and risks.
Personally, I always try to absorb and learn nonstop.
And you? How is your country?
I think you’re making a mistake in the topic, Bitcoin is a virtual currency and is also a digital money cause it can’t be used physically like we do with conventional currencies. As for people who are thinking that Bitcoin is worthless or scam or whatever it is they believe it to be, it’s just their own business. Our success doesn’t lie on same spot, we all have places where we can achieve success, and till you find that source I don’t think you will make success. So if you believe cryptocurrency is the right place for you, then go for it, but if it’s not, you should find another thing.

many people think that bitcoin investment is a form of gambling, they only look from the negative side only.
As of now, bitcoin is widely being used as an investments compared the people who opt for using as a currency. But, only for gambling must be a complete misunderstanding and you must put efforts to make your people to get the actual of bitcoins.
988  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it a good buying price for bitcoin? on: April 05, 2018, 07:05:44 AM
Is it a good buying price for bitcoin?Might cross-border activity often lead to better demand for bitcoin? So bitcoin will do better in the second half of the year. What do you think?
I’m starting to believe that $6000 is the lowest that bitcoin will reach this year. So investing now wouldn’t be a bad idea. If you have paying attention to the price, whenever it reaches $6000 it usually starts going up from there. I also believe that before the second half of the year the price will start going up just like it did last year. Earlier this year I was seeing some people in this forum predicting that price will go up starting from May and that’s next month. I hope it does, cause I have waited for long, LOL.
989  Economy / Economics / Re: government and crypto collide on: April 04, 2018, 06:24:41 PM
The collusion is because of misunderstanding. The government completely misunderstood the working of bitcoin only looking for ways to control it. But bitcoin being decentralized and P2P is not easy to be controlled.
that's why many countries start to prohibit crypto-currency and at the same time take the criminal responsibility away. I do not think that this situation will positively affect the users of crypto currency.
One thing I am sure they cannot achieve is to restrict people globally from experiencing this level of freedom which is what the idea of decentralization has brought. They know that already anyway and from few things that could be deducted now, it is more like, generally, their hands are tied. It has been an interesting journey I must say, most especially for some of us in countries where we have been totally enslaved monetary wise. Whatever comes out of all this collusion, can only lead to regulation to some extent and the adoption of blockchain technology itself.
990  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Guys, just hold.. We can agree on a few things. on: April 04, 2018, 05:34:16 PM
People who have invested their extra money in this cryptos only can hold but if someone borrowed money to invest on these highly volatile market then they will be forced to sell if this down market hold for a long time. That's the most important thing is we never should borrow money to invest because we don't know the future how it will be.

I'm holding all my coins and now started to accumulate more some of the coins which I believe can grow big in future. I'm in this crypto investment for many years already so I believe that market will go up again but not sure when so just waiting for it.
Apparently, I would not expect someone who has decided to tend towards the greedy path to not get emotional. Like you have said, most people could have decided to borrow just to hit it big, pay up their debt and then live a big life without even understanding a single thing about what they are throwing their money into.

Obviously, people like this would get emotional and panic, but for someone who invested just little and understand, would rather just go on with their daily activities without worrying about what is going on.
991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Need advice for the new investor on: April 04, 2018, 04:50:53 PM
Don’t be the greedy type as many do say, although sometimes greediness do favor some people if they invest at the right time LOL. But be careful, always invest the amount you can afford to lose at anytime, but know for sure that if you lose money, there are still hopes that you might regain back what you have lost. But don’t take my word for it, not everyone can be so lucky, you might not regain back your loss. One more other thing –you said Bitcoin is prohibited in your country, maybe it will be best if you seek advice from those in your country that use Bitcoin to know how they manage to do it.
Greed is actually what has made so many investors to miss out on great opportunities. I remembered early this year when my altcoins were doing well and I had the chance to even take out some when the trends were reversing, but ignorance and greed just made me to not utilize those opportunities.

Yes, I have not lost anything, but still I could have made a lot from it. Hence as an investor, it is not about buying alone, you have to keep yourself with the best of knowledge to able to take advantage of your investment area.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your first betting? on: April 04, 2018, 01:17:33 PM
My first bet was with my friends, basketball game bet Cavs vs. GSW and it was just very recent, maybe a year ago or less. I won actually and it was quite amazing. Another game was BINGO and it was with my aunts and cousins. Having bets makes the game exciting knowing that you could win something. I think the prize really fuels up gamers and same as with gamblers, profits are big deal.
Though i have staked the lottery on lots of occasions but i never really won, I think my first real betting was when i selected some teams who were playing an international friendly and they all won and i believe that i made a profit of $50 out of the matches and it was also the first time i was betting asides the lottery.
Good that you even won something. I never had a single luck once, and I really did not bother since I only bet with the little I could have dashed out anyway, but it is a past tense now. I bet, gambled and tried out so many things, but when you are just not lucky, you are not. I tried out lottery in the process too, but all the same. The experience was really crazy, so most times; I really do not always have much positive story to tell.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: April 04, 2018, 11:52:39 AM
May be he is thinking that if he will lost money in gambling he will become disappointed and will never try again to play gambling but i think that it is not so, because most of the people who onces become addicted to gambling, they will continue playing gambling and then he find it more difficult to stop playing gambling and he continue to play even if he lose everything he has.
Other than addictions, being greedy must be another reasons why they do continue. We do think gamblers who are facing losses alone do keep coming back. But in reality gamblers who are making money also keep coming back to make more money. Their efforts will not stop until they lose their faith.

Some people do hear success story from others and want to make such incidents in his life also. So, they do keep trying to find their fortunate times with gambling.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can maths help you win in gambling ? on: April 04, 2018, 09:53:16 AM
Dice games and slot roll are completely luck based one. If you think calculation will work there means you are completely wrong.
But for dice gambling, we can go for few strategies which are all based on mathematics formula but in real life I'm not finding anyone successful due to those strategies in dice gambling. Because not just mathematical formula will help anyone to win in gambling but they must have some very big bankroll so that they can withstand in gambling to beat the house.

I mean to say just mathematical formula will not help anyone to win in gambling but we need some other support like big bankroll and experience for when to stop and when to increase the bet amount.
995  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Will bitcoin disappear in the future? on: April 04, 2018, 07:22:03 AM
In the future, bitcoin may yet have another destiny. If a sovereign state were to issue its own digital currency based on blockchain technology, the situation would be complicated. Matthew Bishop, senior editor of the economist, said: "the biggest risk for digital money is that the government is likely to act to destroy alternative currencies other than fiat currencies." So should we worry about this?
If another state issues its own cryptocurrency it wouldn’t have anything to do with Bitcoin and won’t make Bitcoin to end or continue to stay (it won’t have any effect at all). But from what I’m seeing, even if Bitcoin doesn’t stay forever, it will at least stay for many years. I know the government is kicking against (not all governments) but that’s not going to be the reason for it to stop being available.

According to some professors of economics at Harvard, Bitcoin will eventually collapse through incriminating government regulations. yeah, we can only predict and stay alert because anything can happen.
Yes, anything may happen but by looking into the possibilities by considering the potentials of bitcoins, it would be very rare for the collapse of bitcoins due to government's regulations as bitcoin is basically out of reach of any government as bitcoin being an asset, it is a basic human right.
996  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Try to recover loss on: April 04, 2018, 06:34:34 AM
Previous few month we see all altcoin price is decrease. So at this time how I recover my loss.I decided one think,I want to sell my all altcoin now.And try to start trade and recovery again. It's possible? Can I do this.Tell me your opinion, can do or not?
You’re not the only one that has lost money in this, there are lots of others. If you have altcoins, there is still no problem, all you still have to do is hold it and wait till the price increases. One thing for sure is that whenever the price of Bitcoin starts to increase, altcoins will follow as well and will start increasing. Selling your altcoins just because you are losing money is not the right thing to do. You should have patience, don’t trade everything due to being desperate. Be calculative.

Probably the less risky step will be simply to wait and hold the coins. I am not sure that if you sell now alts, you will be able to buy them for the less price.
Yes. I am simply ignoring my losses by holding my positions until I am getting to profit regions. It became possible for me to hold only because of I am trading only established assets like bitcoins. Otherwise holding finitely will not at all possible.
997  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Tips for withdraw ..... on: April 04, 2018, 05:07:15 AM
If you are a trader newbie. You have trouble with fees from transferring coin from one the exchange to another. Especially with top coin like BTC / ETH / LTC / XRP ....

When transferring coin to trade from one the exchange to another, you should look for coin that low withdrawal fee that both the exchanges are available, it will minimize the withdrawal fees for you.
This is website fee withdrawal of each coin of two big exchanges: Binance and Bittrex for your reference : https://exchangebit.info.
Hope it will help you. Thanks for reading  Grin
This makes lots of sense to me, and it was what I expected to search and analyze. I do see a big help that comes from reading the article from the link you posted, checking sites to know current transaction fees will change and will help on reducing the fees, it will still be very big help to this community. But, there is no way we can escape the fees, no matter what we do, we will always pay some fee that is meant for every transaction. The only thing we can do is choose the comparatively lesser fee coin and exchange, but it will make us slow by giving you lots of hassles and headaches. I prefer using the priority. There isn’t much difference to the fees.
998  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you encourage friends and family to invest in crypto? on: April 04, 2018, 04:36:20 AM
I encourage my close friends and family to invest in crypto, but I do not ask everyone, because I do not dare to take risks if they loss.
I am not forcing my family to invest, because I know the risks they will face so much, but I let them see the success I experienced because of investing in crypto, and they also witness if I suffer losses by investing in crypto, so they will understand and make the right decision to invest or not.
Yes, sharing is a always a good thing, I’m also the type of person that loves to share… but not in everything. There are some things that needs to be kept to self and not shared with everyone. When I got into Blockchain the first time, I was feeling excited cause what I was earning from it and wanted to tell everyone I knew… after giving it a second thought, I changed my mind and decided not to anyone again.

There are some things that needs to be kept to self and shared with everyone. But my family is aware of that already, just be a use they are family. But for outsiders, I never tell them, although when I see people talk about Bitcoin I do advise them to get into it.
999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It could take 2 years for the market to recover on: April 01, 2018, 02:56:24 PM
You may be right about market recovery in two years. But in my view up to Dec 2018 market will be at moon. Because most market have one year cycle for fall and recover.
Two years is absolutely a long time to wait but there is nothing that is not possible. If the OP is trying to make his assumptions from past incidents, then I would say he is making the wrong call because a lot of things have changed and it is not really ideal imagining things to just happen the same way. Take a look at the way things are rapidly growing like you said, I do not believe that the market should really not have some green light before this time.

One point in time, the market will give that chance for the bulls to take over and we can switch back to an uptrend. If we decide to consolidate for 2 years, that would just give us a chance to accumulate the more, but the truth is that, no one absolutely cares for now considering that the future is what that matters and that is what every sensible investor is looking forward to.
1000  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to the market over the next few months? on: April 01, 2018, 02:08:41 PM
Morning all

I just wondered what people think about how the market will respond over the next few months, and what people would recommend to invest in now, because of its current low price, compared to the end of 2017.

Thanks everyone.
I think the price will be high again and we can make more money with the coins if we buy them now.
It is best not to expect just too much from this market as it is now. We are all hoping to see the market growing pretty fine, but at the same time, we still have to consider the possibilities of anything happening, which no one can absolutely predict.

We are in a market where things can just happen unexpectedly, so I would not really be too much in a haste to assume for the market, but just wait patiently to see how thing may end up turning out.
