981  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC Fight Night: Gane vs. Spivac - AI prediction on: September 01, 2023, 08:41:43 PM
This is very interesting I never believe in the accuracy of AI when it comes to sports betting, but since you posted it here we'll see if these AI can give better results than humans.

Yes, and we gamblers never thought that AI can predict the fight as what humans do, I mean we look at everything when we do our analysis, like previous fights, the weight and others. So not sure how AI predicted this fight.
But as what you have said, it's very interesting to see how the predictions will be or what will be the accuracy of AI.

This could be the new trend here in gambling discussions posting AI predictions against human predictions, if AI offer a good alternatives many gamblers will turn to using AI for their bets.

Most likely there are already some sports bettors that have tried this before.
But first time that we have heard this one here because the OP posted his experiment and then we will see how it goes to him and others who are going to look at this fight prediction and bet.
982  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Socialtournaments-A way to stop gambling addiction on: September 01, 2023, 08:30:55 PM
I don't know if many of you knows SocialTournaments where they hold free tournaments with different types, maximum multiplier, total points score and other related slot machines tournament, they are managed by Pragmatic Play provider and it is a way to invite people to gambling but I see it as an alternative to people who are addicted, they can stop the addiction as they offer enough daily, weekly and monthly tournaments to keep you entertained without you spending any money and if you are in luck and get the biggest multiplier or biggest score you even win real money to your account which you can withdraw to your crypto wallets.

I am in no way affiliated with them and you need big KYC,Proof of Address,National ID and Proof of Wallet to get your money.Do you think this platform can help people remove addiction,I think it can be a big boost to do so.

I'm not sure if this will help gambling addicts though, I mean if you are really that addicted, it means you spend a lot of money and you want to have that feeling of winning "real" money, not just going to the motions of playing like slots.
And there are free games that you can find in the market, not that I'm bashing this kind of programs, but I'm thinking the opposite.
It might cause those addicts to really sink into their addictions by playing this kind of tournaments or at least with free money.
I've seen free games and seen people playing it, and then they have like billions if not trillions of "fake" money.
And then I've read someone says that if this is real money, then I'm going to be reach.
So if just get me thinking that once they have money, they will go and attempt to replicate that in casinos for real money. IMHO.
983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crawford vs Canelo-Charlo winner (no date yet) on: September 01, 2023, 01:58:09 PM

If Charlo wins then no changes for what Crawford desires, he will face instead the winner and proceed to his own timeline.

But technically speaking, although everything is possible to happen including an upset win by Charlo, I don't see any advantages he can use against the prime Canelo. I remember when Bivol was facing Canelo, only a few believed that the former would win but the result didn't say the same. I can't apply that same scenario to Charlo facing Canelo.

Anyway, let's wait for the winner of the Canelo-Charlo bout and speculate everything from there.

Both the players Charlo and Crawford had their equal opportunities to win the game. The players should try equal try to win the game. The game between Bivol and Canelo itself explain the exact situation now.The crowd opinion is Canelo, but the same was changed at the end.Bivol win the game with the support of the judges.I hope same will not happen now to Canelo.Even now the crowd opinion will be Canelo compared to the Crawford. When you compared the support of 100 people in the community, the seventy people will support Canelo.

It's all Bivol though and not on the judges hand, on the contrary they could have cheated Bivol in that fight as the scores is very close. But I guess they understood that they change the score to favor Canelo because that will be madness and there will be a controversy in it.
Will be interesting though what Charlo will look at 168 lbs, looking at the pictures doing their face-off, he is taller than Canelo.
So there is still room for him to make more weight to be able to make the Super middleweight class.
Although Canelo is stockier build and so his frame looks big as compare to Charlo.

Hello community

I just opened this account here but although I won't say this is the first time am hearing the word Bitcoin before although Bitcointalk itself an entirely new term to me. Bitcoin is almost everywhere in my region and although it is said to be restricted to trade or transact it with fiat bank but still yet it has refused to die low.

I won't lie folk I was really skeptical upon seeing and been told by a friend that such community exist where one can go and discuss all about Bitcoin and other related crypto issues, it's really nice to be here although I have about Bitcoin many times from folks all around me and believe me it's definitely hard to miss out on this term but I would count myself still a newbie as my profile even says so and will be willing to learn more about crypto and Bitcoin in particular.

Hope I get a warm welcome and I will also try to see it to that many folks that are into Bitcoin come about locating the wonderful forum .

First off, welcome to Bitcointalk.
Second, it's good that you open an account here so that you can see the crypto is for real. We understand that there are a lot of skeptics just like you.
But that is ok, the sooner you admit that this is not a scam or something, the better.
I will advise you to go and read a lot from this community. You can ask questions from time to time if you don't understanding something. But reading will be your best weapon here as a starter.
And don't forget to read about the rules so that you won't break any that can make your account ban from this community.
985  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FBI stops Qakbot and seizes crypto in the process on: August 31, 2023, 07:37:06 PM
Unfortunately, these things do not really end with just takedown of one place, but we also have to keep trying to finish them otherwise they will just grow. As the saying goes "a thing is as illegal as its enforced" meaning if you do something illegal but nobody cares, then it's not illegal anymore. This is of course a terrible thing and the FBI did a great thing here, doesn't mean there will never be any more ransomware, in fact, there could be more now for a short while from the other people who want to fill the void, but I think it is also a good message to other ransomware people/places that FBI is out there trying to get to you, so they are taking a big risk.

And one criminal ring goes down, ten more are born after that. So it's going to be a cat and mouse for FBI and other authorities around the world to take another ring and cut it's head and hopefully it will not grow.
I guess though that perhaps the US has been victims of this Qakbot that's why they make a move, typical of their FBI.
It might be good to read the history of this botnets: https://outpost24.com/blog/a-history-of-ransomware/. Specially one of the fist, "CryptoLocker botnet".
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots with the purchase of bonus games - is it good or bad? on: August 31, 2023, 07:22:10 PM
Actually I never know that buying bonus is available in slots, until I watch those streamers doing that.
So I did try to see (but not trying to emulate them), and it seems it's effective method to win big or lose very quick.
And for me it's a good feature, not saying that you can used it to recoup your losses or something, but it will give you some chance based on your luck on what x amount you can win.
Definitely, getting a regular bonus itself is rewarding, specially if you are going to win big.
But having a buy bonus features in games, and you are willing to take that risk, then why not and see how it goes?
987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 31, 2023, 07:10:00 PM

Don't worry mate, it's not a disrespect if we're not saying these things to him face to face because we aren't even that close to him to begin with.
But since we are here to weigh the chances and to choose a much better option for our bets regardless of which boxer we support, it's somehow evident that Tapales's chance is quite lower compared to Inoue who have been dominating every boxer he has faced and Tapales will not be an exemption, and just like the others, he will be a stepping stone for Inoue.

And just to add up, Inoue is surely the heavy favorite here, and that's not disrespecting anyone but it's according to data though Tapales
might have more belts in this division than Inoue,

But the winning chance and the way of finishing the fight will side to Inoue, though as always, boxing is not exempted from those unusual outcomes.

Upset may take place as both fighters will have their time to train and to scout their opponents we never know
what Tapales camps will execute during the fight that might surprise and upset Inoue.. Just saying..

Both of them have the same amount of belts, Inoue holds the WBC and WBO while Tapales holds the other two, which is WBC and IBF.

Although, judging both fighters by how they claimed those said belts against their former opponent, Inoue had the amazing one because he defeated Fulton by a way of knockout which was believed as the more stronger compared to Akhmadallev while Tapales defeated Akhmadallev by a split decision. So, we can already say that Inoue truly have an edge in this fight even if we will forget their past five fights before they became a champion.

Could be equal though, I mean Tapales was the underdog against Akhmadallev and no one even give him a chance to win.
But look at what he do, he outsmart and out think Akhmadallev in their fight that Akhmadallev wasn't able to recover mentally.
And he wanted a rematch against Tapales because he was shook, but Tapales has bigger fish to catch and that is Naoya Inoue.
Nevertheless we really don't know if he can do it, to make another upset, and Tapales win here, it could really be the biggest upset of the year.
988  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 31, 2023, 03:14:25 PM

If Haney will go back at 135, he will for sure face Shakur Stevenson because the latter will be named again as the current champion's mandatory challenger. There's nothing he can do to avoid that even if there is a politics in-between that makes the discussion quite impossible but since a big money will be involved, both camps will likely have a deal regardless of who will have the purse advantage.

It's fine to watch these both great fighters finally face off inside the ring because this is the time when they don't need to further expand or prolong their discussion about the money unless they want to fully make it a business just like Crawford and Spence, they fought when they have some tremendous amount of offers because the fans are dreaming to see that fight and I guess these two are also heading that way because they are not missing any opportunity that they currently have right now, especially they are at their primes.
The problem with Haney though is that he is going up in weight already. And there are some video clips around that seems to be his father talking and saying that Shakur is really that good that they might not fight him, and also sparring sessions between the two, it might be a old video though.
And that is why Shakur is really pushing for this fight, Haney has all the belt but he wants to move up to 140 lbs and fight Regis. So it's going to be very interesting, as Haney looks like avoiding Shakur at all cost.

Haney is definitely a good fighter. But I think it is a smart decision for him to actually avoid Shakur. And a man is only going to win when he knows about his strengths as well as his weaknesses. And it is good to see that he knows about his weakness and he is approaching his career following the way that will be best for him. I also do not think that Haney versus Shakur is not going to happen. Haney is definitely trying to avoid Shakur.

It might be the reasons, but as for fans who might have seen the videos, then definitely they would really know that Haney is ducking Shakur because he is afraid to lose.
But if you look at how he should have chase Loma years back and wanted to have a fight with him?
So for me it doesn't really make sense to avoid Shakur, and you are going to fight the best here, so why he is afraid for?
And then they are chasing Prograis but then low balling him?

This is the video that I'm talking about though: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2uedGhKD70Q
989  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Five Ways Bitcoin is Changing the Sports Betting Game on: August 30, 2023, 08:35:30 PM
2. Bitcoin sportsbooks allow players to keep their privacy

- Not really sure though, I mean it's no longer just a bitcoin address for deposits and withdrawals, there are emails and worst players are being asked for personal information specially if the amount to withdraw is huge

3. Withdrawing winnings in bitcoin is usually faster than withdrawing fiat currency

- Again, this is debatable, I mean withdraws could take up hours and not instant though. As compare to fiat which can happen very fast.

4. Bitcoin sportsbooks provide fairer odds

- Isn't though that both fiat based and crypto based sport bookies have almost the same odds? It's because they could have the same handicappers from Las Vegas sports. And they need to be almost the same odds otherwise there could be players going to exploit it.

991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will the transfers to the Saudi league become a problem for European football? on: August 28, 2023, 11:08:59 AM
I don't think it will be a problem for European football, I mean it's not the first time that we have seen this movement in sports. There are also like this is professional basketball in Asia, wherein there are a lot of movements to China, Korea and even Japan league from big players around that region.
And on the contrary, it might be good though, I mean up and coming stars in Europe will be given more time and so with that exposure, they could be the next Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar and other great football players. So they shouldn't take it as a negative though. And just to let you know, even in boxing, Saudi Arabia has become one of the hot spot as there are a lot of fights that are being held in that part, and obviously it's become of the huge money that they offer.
992  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 28, 2023, 10:53:37 AM
^ I don't think that they are afraid of Shakur, it's just boxing politics, Shakur is with Top Rank and Haney is with PBC. So it's hard to make that fights assuming this so boxing promotions doesn't want to work which each other.
On the other hand, I read that Shakur will have a incoming fight already, name Frank Martin.

On the losses of the Filipino against the the Puerto Rican, from what I read, it's more of that Diagan was broken down mentally by Collazo and that's why he quit and doesn't want to fight anymore.

Haney is not with PBC, he is a free agent. He even tried to negotiate a fight with Shakur but made a ridiculous lowball offer that shows he is not serious in wanting to fight him. Tank is the one with PBC but his most recent fight was against a Golden Boy/DAZN fighter, Ryan Garcia. If Tank really wants to fight Shakur, that fight would get made. Too bad Tank only seems interested in in-house mismatches or Instagram influencers with strict rehydration clauses.

My bad, I thought that I read some articles in the last couple of days saying that Haney has sign with PBC, unfortunately, I can't find that article so with that, yeah he might be free agent as of now and could be fighting on a fight to fight basis for his career.
On the contrary though, if he is not sign with anyone then I guess he can go and fight Regis. But the thing is that he had low ball Prograis (according to Regis), so we don't know what will be the next move for his career as he doesn't have any promotional tie-in. If he goes back to Top Rank, then he could have Shakur Stevenson or even a rematch with Loma, but I don't think he is willing to give Loma that rematch.

@bisdak40 - I don't think that Tank Davis can go down to 130 lbs just to get Inoue. Remember he put a rehydration clause to Ryan Garcia. So he knows what rehydration could do to a fighter so no way he will do that -5 lbs to his frame.
993  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Oguni - October 12 on: August 28, 2023, 10:09:33 AM
Casimero is obviously a huge favorite in this fight because Oguni wasn't competitive anymore like he was been used in 2016 and older. Casimero should able to win via KO to impress the other, winning via decision isn't really good when he fight not with a strong boxer.

Although the fight will happen in Japan, but I don't think we will see an unfair judgements.

Yeah, it will be obviously a good fight for Casimero, this is just a step up fight for him and maybe if he win this one, he could be up next for the belt at 122 lbs, any of the current belt holder.

So we wanted to see him win here impressively, it will be good if he can score a knockout in front of the Japanese crowd and maybe he will be given the chance to fight Inoue as we have been waiting this in the last couple of years.

It will be a good hype for his career if he wins with a KO, though it's anticipated since the opponents are no longer in his prime
though the home crowd might affect his dedication to win.

It would be a disappointing loss for Casimero if Oguni will put him down and KO him in this fight, on the other side, if Casimero will win
with an impressive KO, surely he will gain more and will be more close to become a contender for the title.

If I'm not mistaken, Casimero is under a Japanese promoter, so his promoters know how to pick up a Japanese that could be a less risk for Casimero as this point so it's a good choice to go for Oguni.
And yes, Casimero is known to be a road warrior, so it doesn't matter if his fight in in Japan or some countries in Latin America. He bring everything in the table here and hopefully we want to see some knockout and impressive wins so that his name will be back on track for a championship fight or even a good fight like Luis Nery or other rank fighters in the division.

^^ Well you can read it here, Josh Taylor planning to move up in weight class after losing welterweight unbeaten record.

Quote
Josh Taylor spoke about moving up to welterweight imminently after suffering the first defeat of his career to Teofimo Lopez in New York on Saturday night.

The 32-year-old Scot started the defence of his WBO and Ring Magazine super-lightweight titles at The Theater at Madison Square Garden looking like he had the measure of his Brooklyn opponent.

He doesn't have to prove anything at 140 lbs already, he has unified the belt but after that he has been struggling to make that weight. So obviously, it's the right decision for him and his camp to move up in weight class. And in the past he also said that he has sparred Ugas, who is a big 147 lbs and it went find. So definitely, I believed that the next time he will fight, he will go up to welterweight.

As for the update on the fight, we haven't heard any, and if I remember it correctly, this fight is happening around October-November time-frame.
995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Inoue vs Tapales for Unified Super Bantamweight Title - November on: August 27, 2023, 08:35:32 PM
I can see Tapales trying to set up counterhooks every time Inoue goes offensive. I have this feeling that a perfectly timed hook by Tapales is enough to hurt the Japanese champion and change the pace of the fight.

Did Fulton employ the same strategy? But look at what happened – he struggled to time Inoue's speed and was eventually overwhelmed, resulting in a knockout defeat. I don't foresee a significant difference with Tapales. On paper, Fulton appears to be the superior fighter compared to Tapales, but just like the Fulton fight, Inoue's victory seemed effortless. It's likely this upcoming fight won't be any different.

Fulton doesn't have hooks in his arsenal, at least that's how I see the fight between him and Inoue. He just want to counter with straight or uses his jab which could be wrong for a Inoue style because Inoue has the fastest hand between the two.

As for the strategy of Tapales who knows, in the first Inoue vs Donaire fight, Nonito enjoyed a advantage with his left hook, he even broke that orbital bone of Naoya. So if by chance and by surprise, Tapales has that kind of hook, whether left or right hand and has the timing of reading Inoue coming in, we might see some surprised here.

Nice observation. Fulton was there trying to outbox Inoue. Fulton thought he could be effective by being slick with his longer reach. What Fulton and most fans didn't anticipate was Inoue's underrated jab which was so effective and somehow it set the tempo of the fight. Fulton before facing Inoue has a 10-0-3 KOs in his last 10 fights.

We're not saying Tapales has a 50/50 chance because it's not. But Tapales has a totally different style from Fulton. People are misled by Tapales' only 19 KOs of his 37 wins but they don't notice that he is actually 9-1-8 KOs in his last 10 fights. If Inoue gets reckless, Tapales will make him pay with counter hooks.

Yes, I also like the misleading part on Tapales, I think it will give Naoya some sense that he is a easy opponent. But if Tapales shows a different version of him, awkward style and then those hooks, if might be a different outcome for Inoue here.
I know that being confident is not good, but we have heard Tapales like he has a different game and strategy on how to beat Inoue and we will love to see how and what will it be. So hopefully there is already some progress in the negotiations so that at least before the end of the year, this fight have been scheduled already.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: China crackdown against gambling streaming on: August 27, 2023, 08:22:33 PM
China is one of the leading industries after US and the decisions they make have a global effect. For example, when they say that they will ban Bitcoin, this has a negative effect across crypto markets globally and not just China. Will this gambling ban affect the overall gambling business worldwide? That is yet to be seen.

Now that Chinese Content Platforms Reportedly Exclude Live Streaming Features, this has caused the revenue decreased in those platforms. It is obvious that if you block gambling streaming, then those people won't use that platform if they were using it previously to watch those streams.

Also, the Chinese were very keen to block the illegal gambling platforms and they also block payments in millions from those gambling casinos.

Or they have been cracking youtube as well? And their internet is being censored in the beginning? So I wouldn't be surprised if for years they have been cracking down very hard on every gambling related streams already.
However, if you go out and play casinos all around the world, you will see a lot of Chinese on the floor, from baccarat table to slots game machines. So in reality, they can still play not just by watching youtube, but playing in real life casinos. Maybe they can just travel to Macao and then boom, easy access to casino. So I don't think it has negative effect on streamers per se, although Chinese market is big, I doubt that it can put a dent on gambling and streamers.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Jerwin Ancajas vs Takuma Inoue - Nov 15 on: August 27, 2023, 08:11:57 PM
Jerwin's only accomplishment at bantamweight is beating a journeyman on a 5 fight losing streak, yet somehow ends up getting an opportunity to fight for a title. We see once again that it's all about being well connected if you want to be a champion. Ancajas is a limited fighter but this is not the strongest division and Inoue is a beatable fighter. At this point another setback would be devastating but if he can win it would be interesting to see him against Alexandro Santiago who defeated Donaire a month ago.

I guess of all the rank boxers in WBA organization, only the name of Ancajas rings a bell. And perhaps they think that is not going to be the #1 rank boxer in their division will have the first crack at the champion, maybe someone lower like in the 5-6 ranks and that fits Ancajas.

To early for this champions to have unification fight though, yeah it's mostly the trend, but maybe organizations wanted their champions to defend their belts first before they allow the other champions of the other divisions. Not saying that they are not corrupt, but I think for me, it's better to defend it first within their body and see how strong their champions are.

Takuma Inoue just won his belt and so far there is no mandatory from the WBA to force him to fight the number 1 ranked. So this is just a voluntary defense of Takuma's belt. I am not sure about the WBA's voluntary defense ruling but most likely it's fine for a champion to defend his belt for as long as the opponent is in the top 10 or maybe top 20 depending on the organization. Maybe Ancajas is the only available fighter easy to negotiate and is willing to travel to Japan.

Ancajas was also dominated twice in his last title fights. But Ancajas was a long-time champion and had issues with his weight before moving up so it was probably taken into consideration by the sanctioning bodies. Jerwin Ancajas' last opponent and only fight at the division lost his last 7 fights and only won a single fight in his last 10 but it was enough for the former champion to enter the top 10 in the WBA and IBF rankings.

He entered the division at number 6, so that is enough for Takuma Inoue to pick him up. Maybe they think it's a less risk, big reward for them. I mean Ancajas is a good champion at 115 lbs so their camp thinks that he is good for Takuma to be in their resume.

But as far as travelling to Japan, there are 2 Japanese boxers in the rankings, above Takuma, however, they might be looking for non Japanese to defend his belt first and so it's a perfect fit and perfect find - Jerwin Ancajas. But I wouldn't totally sleep on Jerwin here, he might have a slim chance against the Takuma, but if the fight goes to distance, I will go and put my money on Inoue.

And that's why majority might say that it's not that late to invest on BTC right now. You will hear others says that they have lost the opportunity and that those early birds are lucky.
They might be true, but if you look at it, bitcoin is just like 10 years old++, so it is still in the infancy. Maybe there are a lot of things that had happen before and obviously halving is every 4 years so there are a lot of expectations from it.
But if you we are going to look at like 20 years from now, we might say that we are also early birds in 2017-2023.
1000  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: August 26, 2023, 03:37:00 PM
^
Two huge fighters wanna be thr baddest in the world can only end in a knockout. It will be the biggest upset of the history if we see its Fury lying down the ground.

I will still not be shock if its Fury though. Each of them has the KO punch and now that Ngannou is training with Mike Tyson, we'll see how much can it contribute when its the style of Mike giving Ngannou the edge.

I have already mentioned that Mike Tyson's presence in Francis Ngannou's team is something similar to Steven Seagull's presence in Anderson Silva's training before Anderson's fight vs. another Brazilian. According to Seagull, he was the one who taught Anderson the special front kick move to knockout his opponent. However, this was only done to promote the fight. Anderson did not really need Steven Seagull's teachings hehehehe.

Yeah, I think that is just for promotion, whether on the side of Seagull or Silva's fight. But I disagree about the comparison though. First, Mike Tyson has the experience to teach Francis Ngannou style in boxing. Second, Tyson doesn't need some attention though, he has been in the limelight and has his own podcast and could have been making money for him.
