The Bulls are getting 4.5 points here.  Really tough call.  Any suggestions?

I guess keep rolling mate, Bulls are in a mission to win while the Clippers have been struggling recently due to the loss of PG. I would take the same, maybe I'll even put a little bet on the moneyline as this team is legit, they are having a good momentum now.
982  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can old trading strategies work again? on: March 27, 2023, 10:01:20 PM
Thinking about how trading strategies need to always be changed and how one strategy may not work for a long time, what do you do with the strategy that you are about to change. do you just forget about it completely once a new strategy starts working for you? or do you keep it in remembrance for the future. If you have experienced this before; has any old trading strategy that you decided to apply work for you? Is it possible that old strategies may work in the future again?
We can't say that they will still work efficiently but I was sure that some of them can still be usable in some situations. We can still use some of them but it is also important that we need to develop or make some upgrades to our strategies in order to cope with the continuous market changes. It is to know that the market behavior is quite changing as well. If we could think, there are old and new strategies it means that traders continue creating and developing strategies just to align the market behavior and so we need to adopt them as well.
983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Circulating supply matters to you? on: March 26, 2023, 09:56:15 PM
I choose coins for investment based on these things;
 - circulating supply
 - exchanges

Investing in the low cap is usually the most preferred by the majority knowing the fact that this will have the chance for the price to grow.
However, it did not just stop there as we also consider the exchanges where it was listed for this will also affect its trend and the interest of the investors/traders. Because not all projects that have low circulating supply become successful, some also fail due to lack of support from the developers and yes, it is listed only in not popular exchanges.
984  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Starting now. on: March 26, 2023, 05:40:26 PM
I had a different thread on how to start on Bitcoin and had so many useful and helpful knowledge given to me at that thread. I just wanna say thanks to all those who replied to my post. And also, yes, I will be starting to do trading on cryptocurrencies. With that being said, I also want to take this opportunity to ask, what would be the best cryptowallet to use at this time?
Staying safe is the most important thing in this crypto currency nowadays. Hardware wallets are the most essential and important to stay secure. Whenever you use hardware wallet you will have no chance of hacking this wallet. Sometimes it is heard that many people's wallets have been hacked. And they find it too risky to survive here later. That's why it's most important for all of us who work here and earn money to use a hardware wallet.
However, despite of acquiring those hardware wallets, we still not be confident enough that we are totally safe. We have to consider the vulnerability to the hacking issue that usually happens to many holders as they are targetting wallet address that contains a huge amount of Bitcoin. As suggested by most, we never keep our funds in a single wallet but rather spread them to different addresses. And most of all, must keep them private and skip those links/emails that we never know where they come from.
985  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 24, 2023, 08:01:20 AM
Ginebra -2 and over 215.5. I think this is a good bet, considering it's the first game and, if I recall correctly, the team that wins game 1 wins the series most of the time. I also bet on the over because I'm sure it's going to be a close game, and since both teams love to shoot from outside and drive the ball, they could easily get into foul trouble while also scoring points from the outside, so it will likely result in going over the point total.
It's easy to take advantage of the odds and make easy money. In Game 1 bet on Ginebra, they are favored by -2 points, and if they lose, you can simply double down in Game 2. There's no way Ginebra will lose twice, and if there is any suspicion of rigging, the referees will likely help them to win by a comfortable margin. That's why I believe it's "easy".
Right now, my bet is looking good as Ginebra is already leading by 15 points. If they continue to play with that great defense, I must say I have an easy win. My total bet on over is also looking good since it's already over 222.5 live. Anyway, the game is not over yet, so hopefully, I'll have a great start today.
986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 24, 2023, 06:12:19 AM
^ An important game for them (the Lakers) tomorrow as they go up against the Oklahoma City Thunder, who they are tied with for the last play-in tournament spot along with the New Orleans Pelicans. The Lakers winning this game would give them a little separation and maybe take off a little of the pressure of not making the play-in tournament at least.
Indeed, it's going to be a tough game as OKC is also trying to secure their chance in the play-in tournament. The only advantage the Lakers have is their home court advantage because I believe OKC is the better team overall. I'm not sure, but I think I like to bet on the road team just to go against the public.

988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What could have happened to all meme coins on: March 23, 2023, 10:00:48 PM
I am wondering what the fate of projects like Volt inu, Baby Doge and other meme coins would have been if Elon Musk never supported Doge coin, would Shiba inu ever made it to top 20? What would have happen to meme coins? Will there ever be any if Elon never existed?

Doge was the original meme coin which was originally started as a joke. I don’t really know why Elon backed it so much, I think he just enjoyed the love he got from the community & he’s a little bit of a troll. Doge will never go mainstream & be a means of payment in the real world.

I don’t think SHIB & the lesser known meme coins would have done as well without Elon pumping & shilling it no. Lots of people who invested in them made a lot of money, they can definitely be thankful to Elon for his part in the success of these coins.
It was a surprise how Elon Musk do it but never I think this will never happen again unless he really has to play the crypto market and give favor to the investors. However, in the case of Shiba Inu and other meme coins, that is somewhat hard to believe that it shows a huge pump. They are useless projects in general and have no reason to see the bullish nor EM would love to do it.

I don't give hope to the people but of course, I don't stop them either. Yet they must also know the risk of buying these coins as it never gives any assurance for ROI.
989  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Never Trade on Emotions on: March 23, 2023, 09:37:19 PM
That is really the most common problem with newbies, even myself before. I wanted to learn fast so that I could start earning, which is wrong and takes more time if you are doing it, as you keep coming back to learn things you don't know yet. People always think trading is easy, but when they try it, they quit immediately, as it is difficult, takes time, and over the span of years, you are still learning. Also, emotions are a big part of it, which is why others are also coming up with strategies on how they can control themselves.
Controlling emotion is not an easy thing to do. It sometimes requires a lot of experience to have that ability. So, newbies who think to learn it fast, simply fail to have good control of their emotions. This is very dangerous because they will have a big chance of losing money due to lack ability of controlling emotions. I agree that many newbies think trading is easy, whereas trading is a quite complicated thing to do.

I don't think that experience can help it but it should be on our mindset and attitude to do it. Because no matter how long you are here in the market do trade but if you are not able to change the way you respond to a certain situation, something never happens. It was hard for those who are lazy to work on it but for those who have the dedication, that is only a small thing because they that it really affects their trade and that is they have to do it.
990  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price is looking positive green on: March 23, 2023, 12:53:22 PM
It was not unusual to see the current situation as we are expecting this to come after the bear market. The price of Bitcoin moves slowly high and sees a huge impact on the altcoin sections bringing light to them. As we can see, the majority of altcoins are improving their price as well. Yet, it was the question if the market is able to keep on the uptrend momentum or there is a correction occurs in the coming days. But whatever the situation awaits us, we believe that the market will turn bullish someday and we don't have to waste any single opportunity before it comes.
991  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 23, 2023, 12:01:40 PM

Really unfortunate that the fight will be postponed when everything is 100% ready and just waiting for the big day.

Fulton will now have to wait until Inoue is now fit to fight. Of course, we also want them to both be at 100% on the day of the fight.

Regarding, summer in Japan, the period was from June to September. I wonder what injury Inoue suffers during his training that needs several months to recover from and for the rehabilitation process.

It is disappointing for the fans who were eagerly anticipating this fight. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about Inoue's injury, but we are hopeful that this fight will still happen later this year. Inoue has a bad history of postponed fights, as his scheduled fight against Casimero has yet to take place.

It's been promised that the fight are going to happen still, Inoue just have to wait for his injuries to heal. And it seems that Fulton is ok with the cancellation, I mean as you have said, no don't want things like this to happen to any boxer specially if they have a fight, but we don't have control of it.
No one would want a player to get injured, but sometimes things happen and injuries cannot be prevented. It's better to postpone or cancel the event instead of forcing it to happen despite the injury, which could result in a boring fight and Inoue making excuses for his loss.

For the Casimero fight, it's not the fault of Inoue though, it was Casimero who has issues with his weight twice. And he was given by the body a second time against Butler but the same case happens. So if there is someone that we need to blame for the fight not happening between Casimero and Inoue, it will be John Riel's fault 100%.
There was no weigh-in for the Inoue vs. Casimero fight because the fight was postponed or cancelled due to the pandemic. After the cancellation, Casimero won fights and met the weight requirement for his subsequent fights. The issue with Butler was different, as it came later.
992  Economy / Speculation / Re: will bitcoin continue to rise on: March 22, 2023, 10:05:49 PM
hello, all my friends... now the price of bitcoin has increased quite a lot... and now bitcoin is in the range of 27000.
but I want to ask do you think the price of bitcoin will continue to rise until it reaches 50000 or not... ?I want to hear it from all of you...
and if I sell my bitcoin now I'm afraid the price of bitcoin will fly even higher... I want to hear your opinion...?
The price of Bitcoin had already reached almost $70k last 2021, that was the new ATH after breaking the $20k. Based on that situation, therefore, we can say that it was really possible that it rallies back high again and possibly more than $50k or $70k. We can't tell when but I believe this will happen. In fact, some people, and some experts are saying it might reach to $100k and seemingly it was not impossible as well, especially as the adoption is continuously growing.
993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which of your friends and relatives deals with bitcoin? on: March 22, 2023, 09:44:59 PM

I recently read a thread where investing in bitcoin is compared to a young tree that takes a few years to start fruiting, this is a very good comparison, I will project it on my investments and hope that everything works out.

I hope this will be useful for those who still store bitcoins on the exchange, you should think about security and hold your coins on hardware wallets.
It gonna be sure that it works if you are also consistent with your plan/goal and make decisions correctly. I didn't say it was easy but if you really have the motivation to do it and take your friend's advice, everything went so well. Keeping our coins safe should also be one of our priorities and make sure that it was out of the site of other people as this could lead to their interest. We have to keep silent as possible and never mention to any person that we are holding or investing huge amounts of crypto assets for security reasons.
994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: March 22, 2023, 11:02:43 AM
At the start of the game, I anticipated that the match between TNT and Phoenix would be a close one, given Phoenix's strong performance in the first half. However, TNT made a big push in the third quarter, which gave them the advantage they needed to secure the win. Phoenix struggled to regain momentum and ultimately lost with a final score of 105-132, with TNT covering the spread.

Moving on to the Magnolia vs. Meralco game, both teams have put up a good fight so far, and the game has been characterized by its physicality. While Magnolia is favored to win, I believe that Meralco has a chance to pull off an upset if they maintain their solid defense in the second half.
995  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Feel Inadequate or Inspired After Watching These Types of Traders Content on: March 21, 2023, 11:41:12 AM
I was happy to see their success and I use to inspire myself to continue building experience and become more knowledgeable. Though we can say that some got lucky in trading however as what I see, and even one of my friends tells me that it was not really all about luck but also about how we analyze the market trend. Those videos OP will serve as an example that there is no right age in trading because you can earn as much as possible if you are really good at trading. But we can never expect that every traders will have the same path, some will lose while some had succeeded.
996  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: March 19, 2023, 07:05:47 PM
I see majority of users are think his fight will be close and it's 50/50, the good news is if you bet Ryan Garcia to win the odds is high for 2.85 in money line option. If I was a Ryan Garcia's fan, I will bet in the money line option since the odds is juicy enough. But since I think Tank will win in this fight, the money line odds is small, I will risk my bet to bet Tank by decision. I expect it will be a good fight just when Tank fought Isaac Cruz.

Wagering for Tank to win by decision is really not that bad and that odds of 5.80, it is reasonable as well considering the fact that both boxers are known for their KO punches that most of the time ended their respective fights but, in this case, I also think that it will likely end in a decision regardless of who will win because both boxers will be in a defensive mode most of the time as they couldn't take that much risks to give each other a chance to land a clean shot that will likely end the fight and will result into a KO/TKO.

I also anticipating that kind of strategy, adjustment is needed for both fighters as both of them will wait for an error from one
another, a slight opening can put them in danger losing the fight.

Both are known as KO orchestrator for sure both camps are considering the defensive strategy not to allow their opponents to gain momentum.

Though fans will aim to see toe-to-toe confrontations, but bettors will be happy with such a huge odd for a decision result.

And to add that statement, I bet that both camps are preparing more to improve their defense tactics and learn another thing or two about the counter-punch because that will be their best option to avoid a clean punch. Being on the offensive mode will surely not help both camps as that will just pave a way to end the fight much earlier than what they expected it to be and as you said, it will be a waiting game of who will make an error first.

A toe-to-toe fight will be a good sight to see for sure but that's highly unlikely especially on the side of Ryan Garcia as he is already known to crack easily compared to Tank.
997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue | Unified WBC & WBO 122 lbs bout | May 7 on: March 19, 2023, 06:37:14 PM

The odds for Inoue to win via KO isn't that low, actually a good option to bet if you're Inoue's fan.

However I just don't want to see an upset just like how Bivol did when he fight with Canelo, that's really unexpected and most people underestimating Bivol at that time. Still hard for me to predict the outcome, but maybe I will go for Fuiton in this fight since Inoue haven't prove anything in this weight.

If Inoue win in this fight, we can sure he will have no problem to fight with Murodjon Akhmadaliev for title unifications.

I would take the KO. This is a great opportunity for us bettors who believe Inoue will win, as we don't see these kinds of odds all the time. Although Inoue is heavily favored here, the odds for a KO are still high, so it's a no-brainer. We should not skip this one.

Exactly. Bookies are still giving us some favors and we should thank this odds because they listed it this way, although it's somehow reasonable given that Inoue is not really a heavy favorite because Steph Fulton is still the champion here and has been on the weight class much longer while for Inoue, this is his first climb in his career and first time at 122. Inoue to win by a KO, count me in on this one.
998  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: March 19, 2023, 05:46:28 PM
After winning 1 to break the 4 losing streak, Denver Nuggets are back to lose more.  Grin I don't even understand what is happening. The stats are okay, Murray is back to his normal shooting accuracy and attacking the paint. Maybe it's the lack of defense that they are missing. They are known to score over 120+ per game and they have a record to win it whenever it goes over 120. But vice versa to their losing record when they gave scores like 110+ they will absolutely lose. They may be safe for the playoffs but giving away games will put them in number 2 as the Kings are not stopping to win each game.

Yes, that's indeed confusing to think because even if their stats are still impressive and then the whole squad is healthy, they are still losing the game even if it's really winnable for them. I just don't get it why and I started to think that maybe they did it for a reason because if we look on their recent games where they had a winnable games, they are not letting the other team bury them in scores, they don't want to win but they don't a large gap.

Just a thought though and I'm not sure about this, maybe they are waiting the Kings to take their place because if they finish 1st, they might face the Pelicans or Lakers in the first round of the playoffs. Although that's still subject to change because the standings that we've seen today are not yet final.
999  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 19, 2023, 05:26:19 PM

So definitely we will see Beterbiev fight this year again. But we have to wait for it and it is obviously not Bivol which is the fighter that we wanted to see and for the unification of the belt. But Callum Smith might be a good opponent for him. We all know that he had a good title run, until he lost to Saul Alvarez and then he decided to move up to 175 and now has another crack for the belt against Beterbiev.

More likely he will just gonna bulldozed by Beterbiev because he is not that strong enough to take his punches. I don't know what else Beterbiev needs when he already got the best requirements to fight with Bivol. But still, when it comes to a super fight such as this one, it turns out the negotiation is so hard that it will gonna be taken so long before they can even decide whether to approve the fight or not. Anyway, Beterbiev doesn't really care whoever he's next opponent will be, as long as they are in the same weight, he will demolish him.

I guess he needs to fight Bivol, as he is not getting any younger, so at least he should have a big fight before retiring. Callum Smith is tall but weak; he was beaten by Canelo easily, just like what Canelo did to Caleb Plant. Maybe Beterbiev has to consider challenging himself more, and that is by fighting a boxer against whom we aren't sure he will win.
When Beterbiev was able to face and defeat the two other division champions, how can we question his ability to fight difficult opponents? The belt of Bivol is the only one left that Beterbiev does not own. Although I do not question Bivol, Beterbiev unquestionably has the superior and more difficult fight. Beterbiev will kill Saul Alvarez because the Mexican would be too small to face him. Alvarez chose the one belt only Bivol because he thought it would be easier than Beterbiev.
Canelo Alvarez was somehow clever for choosing Dmitry Bivol and not the 3-belt champion, Artur Beterbiev. As surely Canelo and everyone inside their camp might not believe that Canelo is the one who will put a stop for Beterbiev's KO streak, furthermore, it's totally risky for Canelo at that time even if he managed to get luck on his first attempt in LHW where he defeated Kovalev. Either way, Canelo still lost on his campaign to defeat Bivol and put another negative mark on his career.

Quote
We already hear that Beterbiev and Bivol want to match each other, so I guess the problem lies with their promoters.
Actually, it's easier said that done as even if both promoters wanted to materialize the fight. The governing bodies doesn't want it because the sanctions are not yet lifted towards Russian athletes and fighters, including Bivol. That is the reason why we now have Beterbiev vs Smith, although that's not what people wanted.
1000  Economy / Economics / Re: Poor and Rich on: March 17, 2023, 09:50:10 AM
We all know the quote "the rich get richer and the poor get poorer" I heard this quote when I was in high school now I'm grown up. I always wondering why?

It doesn't mean that all rich people become richer because many of them had also broken for some reason.
The same thing to poor people, might some of them are really don't have the capabilities and less fortunate but some have a choice not to stay in that status and they find ways to improve their living and become rich.

It is really a matter of choice and thinking about the future. Because even these rich people are also working hard to stay rich (and even more).
