Fuck bears.
I would advise against that - it may result in more bears. For example, if the fucking were done instead by... say, a whale, ... Speak of the devil... Proudhon, your beartroll discourse is up a notch. Congrats. But the timing, the timing! Come on... you should have waited a bit, even just a week or two.

This is not without risk. Third party risk of the highest order. The cocksuckers will just figure out how to have the taxpayers bail them in that case. You mean USA taxpayers or Ruskies? The Russian government isn't going to be overeager to pay back debt into nazi, imperialist America. The USA government could have a few doubts about paying back Russian debt to fellow Americans who "were dealing with Russia" in the heat of war. But after thinking it over for a while, I hate to say it - you may be right, they could succeed.

This is not without risk. Third party risk of the highest order. If had a predatory mind, I'd simply have shorted the shit out of some "Russia financial" ETF.

'0 I imagine the use of TOR can create some of this number. But still cool. It's not like only Russia has oligarchs. I commented on a hillary clinton medium article on democracy once that "it looks like this country is run by oligarchs to the rest of us" and John Mcain's brother liked it which made my day. Ummh... as if the McCains weren't oligarchs themselves? But nice anyway I guess. Not in my mind, John Mcain served and was a prisoner of war. Oligarchs don't serve, they are all chickenhawks. Yeah, his father and his father's father served in the US military but John McCain's second wife was worth ~$200 million - "fuck you" money for sure but not oligarch money. I'd have picked a first wife with FY money, and a trophy as second. Too much of a good guy maybe? P.S. Putin served too. Don't know about his ancestors though.

500 mln newly opened futures longs in the last day in Binance. This is calling for a new long squeeze. They missed the train last week, so they will try to catch it in motion. Good luck, n00bs! After they are liquidated I expect next week to get to 50K.
Well, this wasn't hard to predict. The usual long squeeze tax n00bs are paying to the casinos exchanges. Nothing to see here, move along! It doesn't look like a long squeeze - it's a bit too deliberate. Disclaimer: TA incompetent.

So my wife just tested positive for COVID, I've tested and am negative. Slightly worried for her as she has a very weak immune system but she's vaccinated so hopefully help in that regard. Fun times.
It's probably omicron, as you too reckon. Vaccinated? "Just the flu", not even necessarily a bad case of it. Keep strong, stay safe. Better times will come. Let's keep that in mind in times of gloom. Meanwhile, comfort the missus with hot beverages and lots of love!

They're pulling a Double Trudeau. In Russia it's even easier: no need to freeze the kids' bank accounts.

“Being able to transact value in bitcoin also helps Russian oligarchs go around the western sanctions. It may also help Russian companies and even the Russian central bank to move funds as these entities can no longer access US dollars, and most of the Russian banks are no longer part of the SWIFT system.”
It remains to be seen how much corn the Russian Central Banks actually holds. What they don't hold, they've got to buy. With their external assets locked, they must pay mostly in rubles or gold. Bullish either way ("gold would be better" says the corn seller, and so do we). Also talks about how pressure is mounting on exchanges to block transactions in Russia: Cryptocurrency exchanges such as Coinbase (COIN) and Binance are now facing pressure to block transactions with Russia.
Mykhailo Fedorov, Ukraine’s vice-prime minister, on Sunday called on “all major crypto exchanges to block addresses of Russian users”, saying it is “crucial to freeze not only the addresses linked to Russian and Belarusian politicians, but also to sabotage ordinary users”.
However, the chief executive and founder of Binance said it was not the place for cryptocurrency exchanges to block transactions.
“To unilaterally decide to ban people’s access to their crypto would fly in the face of the reason why crypto exists,” Changpeng Zhao said.
I tend to agree more with Zhao on this one. But then my home and surrounding town aren't the ones getting bombed. You're right about the (fortunate lack of) bombs in your backyard, but if exchanges start to lock people out unilaterally because "bad criminal", that would seriously undermine bitcoin. I hope the general attitude of exchanges turns into NOT locking anyone out, even under government duress. Yeah, yeah, dream on, but I think my point is clear.

There are more Nazis attending a regular football match in Russia than exist in Ukraine.
+1 WoSMerit Ukrainians and Russians - I mean the people - are similar to the point of being more or less the same. Much more so than, say, Germany vs Sweden or Italy vs France. This stupid thing is entirely political. The Ukrainians, when offered the choice, lean towards the EU more than towards Great Mother Russia. My bet is the Russians, if given a choice, would do the same. That's what hurts the Russian Powers That Be the most. A short offtopic about this crazy internet money. It's called bitcoin. Have you ever heard of it? It's getting more and more popular, so I guess some of you might have heard it mentioned already. If not, check it out because it's cool. The offtopic is: It seems like the oligarch(s) buying spot like clueless noobs and pushing the number up have calmed down a little. Exited the country already maybe?

There has already been intense traffic over the Bosporus in the past few days. I mean warships, mostly Russian. IOW: Who needed to pass has already done so. Erdogan is closing the door a bit late. Why such a late move? Because the economy has been nosediving for a while, and Russia is one of Turkey's most important commercial partners. Now the sanctions show how serious most of the world is about this, so Recep does what he should have done the day before yesterday.
Even if they did it earlier, incoming Russian warships would have been allowed, and will still be allowed, so this makes no difference. You're right. Ships returning to a home port are allowed through. Crimea etc. is Russia, right? So they get the green light. IMO, this move by Erdogan is just a show anyway.

Some experts even claim that cutting ties with SWIFT could be a positive development for Russia, as it could propel the spread of the Russian ruble as an international currency.
If hotels all over the world want guests from Russia they must start accepting rubles.
Things being the way they are now, many guests from Russia might have to stay far from western hotels for some time.

I think I have Saylors narrative down pretty good at this point..we all do. Still like the man.
since he tends to say a lot of interesting things and he has a lot of great ways of saying things, I have difficulties criticizing him for repetition.
