1. "Could 1b USDT 'fix' the daily RSI?"
2. "Over how many days should this money be spread upon?"
3. "How many coins would someone have to sell to push the price down to 50k?".

My trusted analyst qualitatively hinted that I have too much focus on the short term.

If any of you are not in US and some other countries (OK for EU), and can invest 200K euro (for 2000TH), consider this:
https://stokr.io/blockstream-mining/pitch
Nice graphs are presented, but there is a catch-you only get ALL your mined btc in 3 years.
It does not seem too many takers 6 days from conclusion.
I guess getting in all at the end is a bit weird.

Minimum 200k, and qualified investor status.

If they really wanted to involve more people, they'd lower the minimum stake significantly. 200k locked for 3 years doesn't sound a super exciting prospect. Insurance for the winter, possibly? At 200k a pop it's still not attractive as a lambo with the customary complement.

OK, enough banter for now. Let's talk some business.

The sentiment is that badger is coiling, ready to jump at that delicious hive that looks full of honey up that tree.

I have a fixation with "macro" numbers right now: questions such as the following.

1. "Could 1b USDT 'fix' the daily RSI?"
2. "Over how many days should this money be spread upon?"
3. "How many coins would someone have to sell to push the price down to 50k?".

The reason for this fixation is that I think these instadumps are just whales maneuvering. They want to sweep the leveraged longs so they profit moar with the impending leg up. I'm thinking of a smallish leg, not a 2x. Something around 70k.

My point of view at the moment is all qualitative feeling: there's no serious analysis behind it. Some guy whose analysis I trust said it looks to be floating upwards, but there won't be a real breakout as long as the daily RSI doesn't break out of a downward channel entered in January. Some other guy says it's too expensive and/or risky for any rational actor to bring the price below ~49k: Saylors etc. would swallow the corn in one or two bites.

These "serious" bits of analysis are more quantitative and look better than my qualitative SOMA ramblings. So a few approx numbers from our resident wizards could reinforce my theory or make me throw it away. I know the questions aren't easy, or maybe even interesting enough, but the WO gathers some of the smartest OGs. So - any takers?

There are too many retard noobs dabbling in alts. The alt market is getting over heated & a nice, healthy shakeout of everything wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing.

Flush all the weak hands away from everything, scare penny alt chasers away & let King Daddy continue his ascent to $100,000.

Your short post history is pretty much the same. This way, I think you are not going to become very popular here.

Not looking for popularity from an Internet Forum. Only sharing innovative ways to promote Bitcoin to the community via education and ecology.

Elon just said, "Dogecoin, it's a hustle". Doge down 30%
So, 8th May SNL thing turn into shade. what will be our ride going to a dollar?

I have looked at this, but Elon Musk drops a giant doge turd so down 30%. Buy on rumor. Sell on SNL. Robinhood stopped trades on DOGE, Beware of that.

People still trading on Robinhood have a rusty pipe fetish. Let them have their fun.

Yes saw it long back...  thanks for reminding let me send it to my wife... to show her “The Good Wife” Smiley

The "good" wife was only half good. Both wife and ex-DA, politician husband do a few deeds that aren't 100% good. I thoroughly enjoyed that show. Even more so the sequel "The Good Fight", which is as commie as is gets though.

Jewish lawyer lady in Chicago dates a Republican pro-gun gentleman while trying to overthrow Trump. She does mushroom juice and meets Melania through one of her colleagues - young, brown, and hot. More ingredients: the golden shower video, bitcoin on occasion, Google's AI in disguise, fentanyl lollipops, a very cynical DP big shot, and a dodgy hedge fund. Last but not least, mostly in Season 3: funny songs and animations explaining concepts such as nondisclosure agreements, impeachment and Russian troll farms.

Hmmm... lots of colleagues around here, it seems. There are a few more I know for sure, but they're keeping silence in this discussion.

I will put drums on any song you like.  Wanna hear a sample?

Here... i was setting up a bunch of mics on this low end "too many toms" kit I have in the studio right now and wanted to hear a balance of the kit and also make sure all the toms were making it in OK which is why it's so masturbatory. Wink

What a show off! Want a bit of criticism? All right, OK, I'll STFU. Tongue

Trapping in a room with windows is useless.
Better even out the reverb times with Helmholtz resonator panels, gives a natural, not too dead room sound.
Ultimately, you build a floating room in the dimensions you want the low frequency resonances/standing waves to be wiped out.
You'd need some more Bitcoins for that, though  Wink

Do you have good experience with Helmholtz resonators? I wanted to have a taste, and I built a "bottle" (box, not panel), but I found the resonant freq can get amplified, especially in the case of a narrow-band Helmholtz box - that is, the ones without any absorption inside. According to my sources, a thin layer of absorption (rockwool etc) inside the box will "smear" the freq response of the device, which is usually desired.

Not willing to invest too much in treatment with an uncertain bang-for-buck factor, or possibly even detrimental, I dropped the Helmholtz project. But if you have a good experience to report, or can point me to reliable sources, I'm totally willing to reconsider. As it is now, I'm fine with my extensive rockwool paneling, but a little more low and low-mid absorption, shorter RF times etc., can never hurt ;-)

Yeah, all well and good, but now I gotta find a human to play em...  because I sure as hell can't...

find a songwriter too while you at it ... you sure as hell can't do that either
Rude. And unfair.

Same here. I do have a drum kit in my studio (not your fancy Gretsch, though), but my pathetic drum playing is inadequate without cutting slicing looping juggling suffering etc. I guess you know what I mean - multimic drums in particular are triple, quadruple, quintuple hell. After days of editing, I'm left with a lifeless performance that I would have been better off simulating with samples. So samples it is until some real drummer can come to help.

Myself, I can live with plain BTC, but mBTC is easier on the eyes. With the full unit, miscounting zeros can have serious consequences. Sats could be almost OK in a similar way as (but worse than) plain BTC, but we would still have the "too many zeros" problem, just on the other side of the decimal point. Of course agreeing with @Dabs that all significant digits are, well, significant - regardless of where the decimal point is placed.

However, this is about personal preference. I was talking about marketing, after @cAPSLOCK's remark. In other words, I am thinking about the 'Corn for Dummies' playbook. I still feel mBTC, but with a fancy name, could be the best choice. Like 1 dragon = over 50 bucks! Wow, one dragon is now worth 100$! Wow, 2000$!! I remember the dragons I bought at 84 bucks! And many would still be able to afford one or more "full"  "dragons" - or whatever the fancy name is: anything too nerdy, like Finneys etc., wouldn't cut it in my dream.

The next 1st world problem we're going to have is adding a few decimal places on-chain. Hopefully direly needed soon  Wink

Cheaps, 1 sat = $0.00056. Lowest than doge.

I think Marty and Matt of TFTC (as well as others) have been doing a great job pushing the "Sats the standard" narrative.  But this is really a difficult problem to overcome.

Unit bias has turned out to be one of the stickiest areas slowing bitcoin's inevitable acceptance.  In fact I would say it is one of the very top "problems".  Luckily it has a simple solution.  But it seems like a tough path to overcome the thought that "no one can afford a whole bitcoin anymore".

I sometimes wonder if "Sats" is a good enough word.  Perhaps so.  It is short, simple, and generally easy to say for people who speak all kinds of languages.  And it might take some time for it to finally break through, but thinking of Bitcoin in THAT unit instead of EITHER whole coins or even USD is more important than I think many realize.

I agree. I've been advocating the switch to a marketing friendly name for mBTC for quite some time. A mBTC, even if it gets to, say, 2k$, is still a mentally manageable amount.

Apparently it takes about three days before you see the cashback in your wallet, but using your card on money remittance services doesn't earn you any cashback, so I guess I wont get anything from paying with Paypal.
I'll know for sure in three days.

Great, thanks. Keep us posted!

I just ordered a Binance card (ViSA debit). I've no idea how long it will take to deliver. Not interested in trying the electronic (virtual) substitute before receiving the actual one.

Only binance accounts can be used to top it up - no transfer from the exterior. This looks like a clear case of "not your keys". On the other hand though, the description says it converts to fiat only when spending. No maintenance fee, so I can check the exchange rate for fuckery and avoid using it altogether if I don't like what I see. Does anyone have experience with that and want to share?

You inspired me, I just ordered one too
It's cheaper for me to buy through the Binance card  then to sell through Safello or bt.cx and then use that money to buy the same thing.

Looking forward to see the physical card. will connect the virtual card to PayPal right away.

Edit: Connection to PayPal successful.
Will do a trial order and pay with PayPal as soon as my 0.02 btc reaches my Binance wallet.

I've used the card in different stores and 3 different places online, works like a charm.

Wow nice to hear, thanks guys.
How about the cashbacks? Got any? That's the part that intrigues me most. I do replace every sat I spend anyway, so it would just be a bit of free money for me.
