What now, ZeroHedge behind a paywall? First time for me. The article is not too long and heart warming for bulls.

TL;DR: Bitcoin too big to fail for the time being (but keep watching closely). "This time is different". In HairyPoll's terms, it's option 4.

My TA says we are running too hot right now.  Currently we are at the March 2021 price and it’s only December so we are roughly three months ahead of schedule.

Likely scenarios are:

1. My TA is shit

2.  We are aiming for a 2013 crash (although I would say we have not yet gone parabolic so this is a lower risk)

3.  We will stagnate at this price for 3 months and everyone will get bored

4.  This time it is differentTM and This Is Gentlemen please pick the colour of your helicopter (no black helicopters please)

5. We are going to have a mild dump heading into early January and then bounce.

Personally I’m going with option 5.  Again I am not trading this - it’s not worth the risk.

Edit: If we make it to 15 January without a meaningful drop, options 2 & 4 become more prominent (never forgetting option 1).

AlcoHoDL +1 WOsMerit
HairyMclairy +1 WOsMerit

And not to inflate WOsMerits too much, I awarded my last "boring" merit to Krubster for his brilliant fusion of the Hairycopter with our favorite rollercoaster ;-)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helicopter_money is always dirty fiat (or some shitcoin airdrop).

This. Helicopter money! I bet they'll never load BTC in their helicopters.

Yeah I just mean each halving is like another proof of the concept

I suspect the halvings will lose significance as we go on, this being the last one to have a macroscopic impact.
1446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 28, 2020, 01:10:56 PM
Next halving will be boom.

They seen it now with this time.

IF companies are in based on it could even go pre halving?

Let’s keep it first with a boom at the current halving event  Kiss

This! Smiley

Oh who the f*ck dumping bitcoins? Price was $28.2k when i was sleep and now it's $26.2k
Paltry volume. Looks like retail. Whales do OTC anyway. Maybe the first Asian traders? Nah, too early for that. Let's wait for Shanghai 8:00 and see. A small correction wouldn't mean much, I think. Or a larger one, for that matter. This is the year we get into the stratosphere - if not to the moon altogether.

For what's worth, my SOMA system reports option 5 too.

We are grown ups no? Let's ask some critical questions. I know critical thinking is forbidden in our society. Everybody who thinks critical and asks questions is called conspiracy theorist. We see where this led us to in 2020.

Seriously, who is behind the pump? In 2013 it was mtgox manipulating the price up. As much as I remember in 2017 it were some autobots no? Now people saying now institutions getting in and pumping the price. Would they be this stupid to throw their money out of the window by buying huge amounts in one go? They could buy slowly to not pump the price.
Most of these buys are being done OTC. This moves the price as little as possible, at least on the instant. Then of course scarcity builds up, but that's another issue. We are beginning to see some effect though.

They could buy slowly if they wanted, say, 10-100 btc. The problem is that they want much moar.

And, you could ask, why are they speaking so openly about that? I have multiple possible answers.

- Who tells you they're all speaking openly? There are a few that came out of the closet, sure, but if someone doesn't tell, we will have no direct clue. There might be many who are keeping silence while they can.

- While they can: this brings me to my second answer. Some investors have to disclose their holdings on a regular schedule. So the cat will be out of the bag soon enough anyway.

- I think some of them are looking for validation. Breaking the "too big to fail" threshold, so to say. Grayscale talking to Tesla is a good example. "The more we are, and the bigger, the less they can try to smother us with senseless regulation. Please jump in while the corn is cheap, whale colleagues!
