But unfortunately, because Girona is currently part of the City Football Group and based on the rules and rumors circulating, if Girona manages to finish in the top four then it is possible that Manchester City and Girona will not be allowed to play in the Champions League next season . But ya, I also don't know for sure how this problem will proceed, but if it is true, then it will certainly be a very unfortunate result for Girona, who have succeeded in being in the top four and are strong contenders in the race for the La Liga title this season with Real Madrid.

Because after all, I will remain confident that Girona will remain strong in the top four until the end of this season. Because ya, considering that at least Barcelona and Atletico are also experiencing trends that are not entirely good this season. Therefore, Girona will be able to maintain its position in the top four, of course it will also be a threat to Real Madrid this season in the race for the title.

I heard about this problem at the start of the season, but now it has become more obvious since it is obvious that Girona will be in the top 4 and will get a ticket to the Champions League. But in fact, both clubs will take part in the Champions League, as the owners will pull the same trick that Red Bull did, for example, when Leipzig and Salzburg played in the Champions League at the same time - they simply changed the formal ownership structure and UEFA's claims were settled.
And in general, did you really doubt that such an untouchable club as City would have any problems with such a corrupt organization as UEFA?  Grin

Wow, when I saw the result I couldn't figure out why the score was so big, but the red card at the beginning of the first half closed the question of the winner. To be fair, it should be noted that, apparently, Torino was better in the first half, and Napoli failed to take advantage of their only chance. Although Napoli is only 5 points behind 4th place, the chances of taking it are illusory - there are too many competitors ahead: Fiorentna, Bologna, Lazio, Atalanta, Roma. I am 100% sure that one of these teams will be lucky and will not allow Napoli to overtake them even if Napoli suddenly starts playing well.

This is just disappointing at this point for Napoli. Who would say that they are the defending champions of the Seriei A right now? They are in the 9th position of the Serie A right now and if things continue as they are then probably they won't be able to play even the UCL. They are far away from The Champions League spot.

I know it was an away match but their performance was too poor. Torino is not that strong of a team and if they are struggling and losing by this margin then they won’t be able to beat Barcelona next month in the UCL playoffs. Things are getting really out of hand for Napoli.

Napoli had a bad season right from the start, but without Osimhen the club fell into the abyss. The tour will end today and tomorrow we will see fresh quotes regarding the results of Serie A and I think that Napoli’s chances of entering the top 4 will be assessed as 1 in 20, no better. Their competitors seem weak when viewed individually, but in fact, among the number of clubs that are now ahead of Napoli, there will definitely be one that will be good to maintain the advantage.

Meanwhile, Atalanta leads 1-0 already in the first fifteen minutes and the game will now definitely be interesting as Roma is forced to open up.

Tomorrow I’ll start paying my fee, as I understand the data on the median Bitcoin commission of 3 dollars should not be trusted and the real fee for the transaction will cost about 10 dollars?
It's quite painful to pay such a commission, and at the moment I only have access to payments in Bitcoin (due to the changed policy regarding the KYC on KuCoin).
What's the deadline? January 12? Maybe on this date I will resolve the issue in the most optimal way.
1145  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +93999 units on: January 07, 2024, 07:39:09 PM
So that didn't happen for either pick (but hey, it came close enough, especially with Verona until they got a man sent off).

Here's something different: Liverpool without Salah are fair underdogs vs Arsenal tomorrow but I still think they're worth it at 35/10. It's not quite my kind of odds but if we pin on their next game vs Bournemouth, we have a solid result. Shall we up the ante on this?

400 units at Sportsbet on Liverpool to WIN vs Arsenal and Bournemouth @5.43. Other odds: 5.20. Units advantage: 92
Bet ID: 659823934411880001db5086

Running advantage after 57 bets: +6069 (+92)
All-time cumulative: +95,939
Running units after 56 bets (3W|53L): -3412 (-200)

I hope I don't spoil luck by saying that most of the "work" here has already been done  Smiley
In my opinion it is quite strange that Liverpool were rated so low given their historical ability to play well in cups, so it was definitely a value bet even despite the fact that Arsenal was catastrophically unlucky with the realisation of scoring chances and if Havertz had been able to score first, it is unclear how the game would have turned out.

Messi and Neymar had two whole seasons to show something. Considering the level of other partners, including Mbappe, Donnaruma, etc. they had everything to achieve something, but in fact it was two disastrous seasons. Why do you think such a team should be given another chance? Messi is old, Neymar is lazy and undisciplined - the fact that they left the club made PSG stronger. If they continue to get rid of brands and continue to buy real players (and not those who have a couple of years left to play before the recession), then this PSG has great prospects (which, by the way, I’m not happy about since I’m against moneybags).
One thing that needs to be highlighted as the reason why PSG failed in European competition is the figure of their coach. Even though Messi, Neymar and Mbappe are fit, the overall performance of the team has never been good. PSG completely wasted money and time by bringing in the best football stars, while they failed to establish a good partnership with a great coach. Of course they had a lot of money, but they failed to bring the success they deserved.

The 2020 Champions League final against Bayern Munich was a truly disappointing flashback for PSG. Even though PSG ultimately had to give up with a score of 0-1 to Bayern Munich, they should have been able to win if they were able to take advantage of the opportunities well. I want to see how far PSG will go with their team this season in the Champions League, Ligue 1 may be theirs again this season.

If the coach was a figurehead, it’s not necessarily his fault or the management’s. What is the likelihood that a serious coach would put Neymar on the bench for violation of discipline? What is the likelihood of Messi getting into the starting lineup and playing more than a half, given that he walks most of the game? I think in the first case 100%, and in the second close to 0%  Wink But they are big brands so the coach did not have the power to act with them as he should have. I don't even blame the management - if the stars are capricious, then the only mistake is signing them. Nothing can be fixed further.
1147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 07, 2024, 04:35:43 PM
Torino - Napoli 3-0 and game by game Napoli is losing chances to catch top 6 that will lead them at least to Conference League and by the way current team is playing , honestly I don't think they will make it.

Udinese - Lazio 1-2 and a very important victory for Lazio and well deserved 3 points that put them back into the fight for top 6.

Roma - Atalanta  should bring 3 points to Roma as a draw will help only Atalanta.

Wow, when I saw the result I couldn't figure out why the score was so big, but the red card at the beginning of the first half closed the question of the winner. To be fair, it should be noted that, apparently, Torino was better in the first half, and Napoli failed to take advantage of their only chance. Barcelona is behind Real by as much as 7 points and for the race for the title this is a whole abyss, so yes, no matter how we look at the names, Girona is definitely more dangerous than Barcelona now. I have a hard time believing that Girona will go on par with Real until the very end, but I believe that now Girona is the favorite in the fight for second place.
By the way, I got the impression that everyone forgot about Lewandowski - they used to criticize him, now they simply ignore him. He only has 8 goals scored, which is terrible for a striker of his caliber. I don’t even know whether Barcelona will have time to sell him to Saudi Arabia in the summer, whether the sheikhs will be interested in him.

I don't ignore Lewandowski and always respect him as the best center forward. Of course I am worried about his decline in form this season with Barcelona, but it may soon change and improve in the second half of the season. After all Lewandowski could easily surpass anyone's goal tally this season when he finds himself back in the game, so there's no point in ignoring him now.

So far Lewandowski has made 17 appearances with 8 goals. He is the only oldest center forward to have scored 8 goals so far this season in La Liga, the rest are players younger than him such as Morata, Borja Mayoral, Antoine Griezmann, Ante Budimir, Artem Dovbyk and Gerard Moreno. I'm sure Lewandowski can still score at least 20 goals this season and compete to be La Liga's top scorer in two consecutive seasons. He could be sold next season as Barcelona have already acquired a new centre-forward, but that is a possibility that is nothing more than a rumour.

Maybe this is nothing more than a rumor, but I would say that the probability that he will leave is close to 99%. It is obvious that his productivity is already low and if I remember correctly he has a second salary at the club, in fact he does not pay for his stay in Barcelona. Plus, what are his prospects anyway? Even if he finishes this season a little better than things are going for him now. What's next? Next season, age will have an even stronger impact.
1149  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [CHESS] FIDE Candidates Chess Tournament 2022 on: January 07, 2024, 04:20:06 PM
He is definitely one of the best chess players of all time; I recently saw an interview with him and he considers Gary Kasparov as the GOAT but that is offcourse debatable. It would be nice if he would return to the World Championship for classic chess but he will need to participate in the candidates tournament as well and that is unlikely. The winner of that tournament will take on Ding Liren who is the reigning world champion.

Ding Liren is one of the most shameful champions I remember. First, cheating tournaments in China (which allowed him to get into the Candidates Tournament), then a complete absence from tournaments after receiving the title. By the way, the other day in some Chinese rapid tournament he disgraced himself by taking only 4th place. It seems that the name of the future champion will be determined in the candidates tournament since it will be less difficult to beat the current champion.

PSV - Dortmund matchup could also be evaluated as one of the close matchups. Because PSV aren't a weak team and can't be underestimated. Especially by Dortmund I mean. Dortmund have had a really good run in the Champions League so far. I must admit that. However they are still inconsistent in general when we add their performance in the Bundesliga into account as well.

If they can't make any progress until their Champions League first leg game I don't know what kind of a Dortmund we would watch on the pitch against PSV. But as long as they don't lose their focus on the Champions League they should still be able to stay one step ahead.  Smiley

To be honest, I don’t even know who in this pair the bookmakers will consider the favorite - probably Dortmund? Dortmund won the group of death, but in the Bundesliga they are in 5th place (having lost their chances for the title a long time ago) and their winning percentage is below 50%. PSV have 16 wins out of 16 in the national championship (wow) and their mentality is clearly closer to the championship. Maybe in this pair it is worth betting on PSV (if they are underdogs).

1153  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: January 06, 2024, 08:03:43 PM
The most interesting draws are Napoli - Barcelona and Inter - Atletico Madrid clearly. I'm saying this due to the fact that these are matchups between really close teams in strength.  Smiley  Napoli and Barcelona both are having an inconsistent season in their local leagues. However they have done well in the Champions League so far. I'm seeing Napoli one step ahead for now but they absolutely need Osimhen to have more chance.

When it comes to the other matchup one of the last season finalists is facing Simeone's Atletico Madrid. As Atletico Madrid are playing much better in the Champions League this season it is pretty hard to predict the winner of the draw.  Sad

I would say that these are the only interesting games in 1/8. There is also an even pair of PSV - Dortmund, but this sign is a little lower level. In the remaining pairs, the result looks a foregone conclusion (although of course there will be surprises, as always).
I can’t say that Napoli looks good in the Champions League against the backdrop of two defeats to Real Madrid and the fact that, theoretically, Braga could knock them out of the tournament in the last round. But in the Napoli-Barcelona pair, the Italians will be the favorites for me in both games, Barcelona looks very weak.
In the pair Atletico - Inter, I don’t know what forecasts to make yet. Closer to the games, maybe something will be more clear, but now this pair looks to me as random as possible.
1154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: January 06, 2024, 07:46:02 PM
Barcelona once again walked on the brink and I can’t say that their victory looks fair. The last time Barcelona won by two goals or more was in September (if all competitions are taken into account), that's more than 20 games ago! It's surprising that they are still contenders (even with small chances) for the title, and Xavi is still the head coach. In fact, Barcelona has ceased to be a “dangerous top team” at all, at the moment it is an ordinary club from the top of the standings.
Barcelona's victory continued to struggle at the end, I think this is the sharpness of the front line still blunt continues with a penalty prize can be said to be a bonus if not then the result can be a draw.

In fact I would say that Girona is more dangerous now than Barcelona even though the depth of their squad is full of talented players but cannot provide stunning results despite winning in dramatic fashion, I don't know what Xavi's situation is clear he will definitely be angry with his team's performance, but that is not expected by Xavi.

Barcelona is behind Real by as much as 7 points and for the race for the title this is a whole abyss, so yes, no matter how we look at the names, Girona is definitely more dangerous than Barcelona now. Not only the 2 - 1 of Inter is irregular but also the penalty was to take again.

By FIGC rule if the goalkeeper moves from the line before the striker hits the ball the penalty is invalid.

Its a comic, they have 45 points, and they robbed the past 10.

It seems to me that in order to allow this penalty to be taken again, the referee would have to use VAR. Look at the freeze frame at 2-45 - the player hits the ball and the goalkeeper takes a step almost simultaneously, it is difficult to say whether he violated the rules. Although I remember that in some games the referees were too picky and, in principle, did not allow the goalkeepers to move forward from the goal line (which is quite logical since it is impossible to do this before the ball is kicked).

PSG has problems, especially the coach and the depth of the squad. They have problems in defense and midfield, even if they have big-name strikers. The coach is also the reason why they tend to lose technically, so success is not solely due to the players but also due to the coach's ability to analyze the team's problems and needs. Unfortunately, Messi and Neymar have left while they have Luis Enrique as coach. But Enrique will create his own story this season with PSG even without Messi and Neymar again.

Messi and Neymar had two whole seasons to show something. 1 more week to have to spend without EPL football  Roll Eyes. What to do with myself?

I hope we push the Saudi teams hard - Salah is their talisman and I'd literally ask for 500 million to let him go. They'd probably pay half of that without any issues.
They got a lot of money, but would not pay that much. Did not for Ronaldo or Neymar
He is 31 so can be there for about 5 years still at the top level, or as high a level a professional can be in lower leagues. I see them paying between 100-150 million Euros if he plans to stay for a long time.

- Jay -

In fact, if you look at the statistics of the success of players who moved to the Saudi League, at first glance it looks terrible - probably 50% show results clearly below their average. Maybe if you calculate everything accurately, then not everything is so bad, but subjectively it seems so to me. If I were the Saudis (especially having before my eyes the example of Neymar and even Benzema), I would pay half as much as what they offer - in any case, this is more money than in Europe and if the player wants, he will go to them under such conditions.

As for the break, I’m actually glad about it - now I’m making forecasts blindly, I’m even too lazy to check the odds and think seriously. The holidays are a very busy time  Grin
1158  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2023/24 Season on: January 06, 2024, 03:16:31 PM
As long as we don't see any surprise the winner of the Europa League title would be one of Liverpool and Leverkusen. I consider teams like Milan, Roma having less chance than them because none of their performances are convincing enough to be able to beat any of Liverpool - Leverkusen duo. Milan and Roma are both are inconsistent teams for now.

I wish to see a Liverpool - Leverkusen finale but we will see. It would be the closest kind of a matchup to a Champions League finale considering the current teams in the Europa League. At least we can watch a game with high tempo and hopefully many goals in it.   Smiley

It would also be nice to see the Liverpool - Bayer Leverkusen pair in the semi-finals. Two top matches are better than one, right? I would like Roma to take the Europa League at the second attempt, but I don’t even know who their opponent should be for the game to be interesting - Mourinho prefers rational football and it is rarely spectacular. Although the game between Roma and Liverpool would probably be good as a final, Liverpool would try to resolve the issue in regular time, and Roma would wait for a penalty shootout  Grin

Newcastle's ranking is getting worse, if last season Newcastle only got 5 defeats until the end of the season, but in the middle of this season alone Newcastle has suffered 9 defeats (Even Newcastle lost to Luton and Nottingham Forest), so it's only natural that the Newcastle coach's future is threatened and he will be replaced, and speculation about howe's replacement has also emerged, jose mourinho - graham potter - conte are on the list. to improve Newcastle's performance like last season then I really agree with the change of coach, honestly Newcastle's performance this season is very bad, it's like they're back in the past lol

I don’t follow Newcastle much, but aren’t their problems due to the epidemic of injuries + the scandal with Tonali, which the head coach really counted on? They are in a difficult situation, but I can't blame the head coach for that. And by the way, such a drop in results should perhaps serve as a signal to management which, after the previous season, thought (my guess) that great results can be achieved without large investments. Many people expected top signings from Newcastle after last season, but they didn’t make them and have now fallen back to where they started. I think it’s easy to draw conclusions here.
1160  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: why do people always play gambling even if they always lose? on: January 06, 2024, 02:43:17 PM
People always gamble because they really want to feel like they are winning. Even if they have to deposit the money again, it still makes them come back again and again. There are still many gambling games that they haven't played so that's what keeps them coming back. They think it's okay if they lose again this time because there will be a time for them to win, so they keep going back to gambling.

Many return for the feeling of wining, but this does not apply to absolutely everyone who is involved in gambling: many play for years and never win but continue to play. I don’t know if you guessed it, but I’m talking about those who play the lottery and dream of winning the jackpot. By buying a lottery ticket, they buy themselves the feeling of a dream - of course, it is almost impossible to win, but nevertheless, this does not stop you from dreaming that this time you will get the jackpot and change your life for the better.
